After getting my first tattoo here, I just had to go back for more! Sage is an absolute rockstar every time I come back and makes the environment calming, clean, and tattoos super efficiently every time. I’ve since gotten 7 more tattoos from her, and I don’t think I’ll go anywhere else again. Not to mention that every single one of the artists is so welcoming and nice to even interact with in passing, so much to the point that I even recommended Space Cat to my dad and he also has gotten a wonderful piece there. Love Love Love Space Cat and I refuse to go anywhere else!

Highly recommend seeing any of the talented artists at space cat! I have come back to space cat time and time again for both piercings and tattoos. Thorough cleanliness with each appointment and the kindest artists in the area all within a reasonable price. The shop has a great atmosphere so you’re comfortable whether it’s your 1st or 50th tattoo or piercing.

Everyone at Space Cat had great customer service, they were all very friendly and welcoming. Their space is very clean and professional as well. And…Jesus is an absolute pro...he knows what he’s doing! I got my cartilage pierced by him and he was so professional, calming, and quick. I had gone somewhere else years earlier to get my cartilage pierced on the other ear and it hurt so much. But with Jesus, it honestly barely hurt. On top of his skill, he is super friendly and accommodating. Definitely the person to go to for piercings…worth every penny!

I got my belly button piercing here a couple of weeks ago. I was very intimidated to go in here but Jesus made the experience very pleasant !! I felt very calm soon. As for the experience, the cleanliness of the space and process was amazing! They talk you through every step and no question you ask is “stupid.” Pricing is good ! I definitely would go back here.

Jesus is absolutely amazing. I came in today for help putting jewelry back into a piercing I had stupidly tried to change out myself at home (piercing was done somewhere else) and Jesus was so kind and helpful! He was incredibly gentle while replacing my jewelry and explained everything clearly, including giving me new tips for caring for the piercing. He was also so patient with me and my bazillions of questions about my old piercings and how to balance out my piercings in both ears. Jesus gave me great feedback and suggestions for future piercings. Thank you SO much Jesus! I can’t wait to come back and get new piercings with you!

The shop looks really cool and they made me feel less nervous about getting a tattoo out of state. They were really patient with me when it came to where I specifically wanted the tatt to be, and Azalea was really cool the entire process. Im confident she did my cat justice!!

Great place to go get piercings. I got my piercings done by Jesus. He is by far the best. Great customer service and made sure to give me exactly what I asked for. He took his time explained everything he was doing. I will be coming back if I ever decide to get any more piercings.

Sage has been my tattoo artist for a number of years now—from her apprenticeship to being full time—and she and the other artists at Space Cat always exceed expectations. She is extremely patient, understanding and has an amazing hand when it comes to any tattoo, someone new to it or otherwise. Sage makes sure you get exactly what you want while also being realistic on what would work best. With that, the shop itself and its stations are always clean and the decor matches everyone’s interests and personalities, making it comfortable for anyone coming in. Everyone here is a fantastic artist in their own right and I’m glad to have gone to a shop like Space Cat for my many tattoos—and to many more!

I was on vacation in Chicago for a week and was looking for someone to pierce my nose again. I saw this place and decided to give it a try and Jesus was exceptional. From the moment I walked in till leaving he explained everything in detail and was very professional. I’m highly impressed and recommend you give this place a try, the tattoo artists seemed great as well!

This tattoo was for their Friday 13th event special. My artist was Aiden, he was friendly, professional, and talented. I absolutely adore my new tattoo 😍 👻

Warning - stay away from this place. I was scammed and cheated out of money from them and didnt even have the tattoo completed.I came here for a tattoo with Javi. I was reluctant to get a tattoo done since it was my first one but finally made the decision to go through with it.I finally got the tattoo in May 2024. When I went for the second consultation in April of 2024, I was quoted $500-$800. On the day of the tattoo in May and before Javi started the work, he said it would cost $1000. I was surprised of the change and no explanation given. The first sign that something was off was that he didnt have me sign any paperwork. Plus with the price change it was odd. He stopped inking after 3.5 hours of work and informed me he had an hours worth of work left but wanted the skin to heal. The job felt rushed in all honesty. I confirmed no extra charges would occur for him to finish the work. Sounded alright, but then he said the total was $1200. Again, no explanation given and my friend and I were both nervous if we brought up these money changes without an explanation he would either refuse to finish the tattoo or possibly sabotage the tattoo when I went back to complete the tattoo. Note: The $1200 didnt even include the $100 design fee and the tip I gave him.I definitely was not happy with the quality of the tattoo, as it was incomplete and I felt cheated from this service. I gave it some time. My friend and I also reached out to another tattoo artist who gave us the advice to reach out to Javi and mentioned what parts of the tattoo we werent happy with for the adjustments to be made when I would go back for the last hour of work. The only thing that bothered me was that I wanted the pupils on the tattoo bigger since they didn’t match up to how I had asked Javi to design them. In fact, the whole design looked different from what I was originally shown. Javi and I communicated via text a few times and it was conveyed that the pupils could be adjusted. I also met him in person to discuss this. What shocked me was that Javi even told me to peel off the skin where the pupils were so as to remove whatever ink was already there. He also said to do laser removal and that it would ”only” cost $1000 to get the pupils removed. Mind you I didn’t want the pupils smaller where laser removal might be something to consider. Just more dilated. It was agreed on that meetup with Javi that I could draw the pupils exactly how I wanted and Javi could just go over it with the tattoo ink. I was fine with this approach if it could potentially fix the tattoo and make it look better.An appointment was finally made for the weekend of June 22nd 2024 for Javi to finish the work. Not less than 14 hours before the appointment Javi said he has to charge $150 for the additional work because hes reviewed the tattoo photo after healing and decided it doesnt need any more work as hes happy with how it looks to HIM. He had no respect or consideration for how I felt about the tattoo and was going back on how it was agreed that I would be coming back in to get the rest of the work completed and the eyes adjusted. He had also promised there would be no additional charge previously. The way this was handled was extremely unprofessional, and my friend and I were both shocked with the way Javi was communicating in these last minute text messages.I tried communicating with him and tried to work with him, but I was being manipulated and blamed. I shared the back and forth text messages with my friend (who came with me to get the tattoo done) and we didn’t feel like we could trust him to have any future ink done.Im not familiar with any other artists here, but this was my experience at this tattoo shop and I would urge you to stay away.

I LOVE my tattoo! This was my first ever tattoo and I reached out to Livi. She responded quickly, talked through my ideas, and had multiple size options ready to go when I arrived. She talked me through the benefits/disadvantage of each one and was very accommodating to all my questions. During the actual tattoo she worked quickly and precisely. The line work is beautiful. I’m hooked and ready for my next one! The picture attached she took. :)

Maybe i went in there on an off day but i finally stopped by to get a feel for this place because i do want a tattoo here. I came in and asked about getting a piercing but they only do very very basic piercings which is unfortunate. They had to tell me to go somewhere else. Then i sat down in the waiting area to check out the artists portfolios. Everything in there is black; curtains, floor, dark walls, which is kinda uninviting even from outside it just looks black inside like there’s nothing going on. No music was on, no tv so again very awkward environment. I guess I’m just used to Chicago shops as they are always full of life and color, and music, and are always super friendly and inviting. This review is purely on aesthetics, i just felt like posting this cause I’m sure other people see the same and don’t end up stopping by. I’ve looked through all your artists and they seem great but again maybe do something more on the environment for the shop to boost sales. Thanks for reading this and have a good day.

Javi is a tattoo prodigy and sweetheart. His work is one-of-a-kind. Even though this piece hurt like no tomorrow, I am so happy I chose him. Livi (tattoo apprentice and incredible artist as well) offered me emotional support, made sure I was well fed, hydrated, and helped me with her nurturing spirit. I will be going to her next for her beautiful fine-line tattoos. My best friend was even allowed to sit and watch while Javi was nice enough to educate him about the tattoo process. It was an excellent experience, and it’s a beautiful shop. Not to mention the area I got tattooed was in a private area of the body, but Javi is very professional and never made me feel nervous about it being somewhat exposed. For those who care about privacy, Space Cat takes it very seriously. They have full-size modesty walls/shades and offer pasties there. I’m going back for part two of my matching piece tomorrow and although I’m not looking forward to the pain, I’m looking for the incredible artistry and great company.

Sammi did a great job on the pug tattoo. Sammi took her time and wanted to make sure everything was spot on. The staff would come by and check the progress of the tattoo as well and make small talk. Best tattoo place I’ve ever been to! Everyone was super friendly and professional. It was very clean and I felt very comfortable the entire time. The artist areas are closed off and private which I appreciated a lot. My tattoo was fantastic and exactly what I wanted. Sammi was happy to work with me on design changes and drew up multiple sketches for me :) Aftercare instructions are clear and easy to follow. Coming here really made my experience enjoyable and awesome, I’m excited to come back in the future!

Only shop I go to - extremely sanitary, all of the artists take their work very seriously and create beautiful pieces. The vibe in the shop is immaculate and super comfortable, staff cares about who comes in and goes the extra mile to make you feel at home. All of the artists are incredibly talented and reliable. I’ve had the most positive experience at Space Cat Tattoo on Rand Road with Tony! The time, patience, and precision he has taken on my tattoos speaks to the quality of the people Space Cat hires both as artists and people! I really appreciate how Tony is honest in what will work best for the long term and how we can best make things flow with the existing tattoos and I have. I’ve experienced him being so diligent in making sure I get the best ink and that I have all the information I need in making my tattoo decisions. Tony takes careful consideration in the design, details, and placement to make sure that it’s something I will be happy with forever! I trust his judgement and his work! In the few trips I’ve made to this shop as I work on a full sleeve, I’ve experienced a positive, relaxed and comfortable atmosphere each time. The shop is clean and well maintained! I don’t think I will go anywhere else for tattoo work and I would recommend my closest friends and family to look here first!

This is BY FAR the best tattoo shop I have ever been in. The artists and the atmosphere at the shop are amazing. They’re all very kind and welcoming. Each artist has their own style, which is a huge variety when you see they have two locations. I personally go to Sage, an apprentice, she has done the absolute best work. I keep booking her again because they are now the best tattoos I have. Being able to go into a shop and feel like home is exactly what you get when you go to SpaceCat. Excellent experience with our Infinity Tattoos by Sage. We didnt even realize there was a tattoo shop next to Naomi Sushi. Very clean. We went back and forth a bit on design and Sage was wonderful. We love our Infinity Tattoos my husband and I received. Very happy and it turned out better than we thought. We really wanted 2 birds/doves in the design & was a bit nervous about how that would turn out and its exactly what we wanted! Perfect design - perfect size. 5 stars. Thank you Sage.

This was my third visit to this location. I have been coming back because I am so pleased with my artist, Sammi. She has done such amazing work for me and I could not be happier with the finished results. I also enjoy this shop, I think it has great atmosphere and all the other artists are super nice and also talented. The shop is so welcoming and comfortable. I have found my new home shop and artist.

Went here for a traditional tattoo to add to my leg, and I worked with Livi. She was super helpful when it came to designing my tattoo that fits with my leg. The experience was awesome, and she was very very accommodating during the whole process especially with taking breaks. The shop has water available for clients to grab for free, candy bowls for those feeling faint or a bit snacky. I will be returning for some more work soon!

Excellent locations. The interior is great and the atmosphere is relaxed. It’s a great place to get a tattoo. I got tattooed by Sammi and she was great. I’m extremely happy with her finished work, so much so that I returned a week later for another tattoo. The two pieces were a set of Kodama’s and group of dust mites. The experience was not really painful at all as tattoos go, so I was very happy with that. Suffice it to say I will be returning for more work by Sammi. I highly recommend every checking out her work as well as Space Cat Tattoo

Went window shopping for an artist and came across Tonys work. He and I worked together on a pretty big sized piece on my arm. And it was an awesome journey we took together. A Nightmare ExperienceIf youre considering this tattoo studio, particularly Jose Antonio Motta, brace yourself for a horrifying ordeal. I paid $103 upfront, expecting an appointment and service. What unfolded instead was a shameful display of negligence and complete disregard for customer service.Over a ridiculous span of 67 days, I was left hanging with no service and zero communication. I patiently waited, continually reached out, sent emails, asked for updates, but to no avail. They dodged my inquiries, delayed the process and kept pushing me off.Despite this terrible service, I tried to maintain a positive attitude, hoping that they would eventually come through. But it never happened. They even had the audacity to threaten me when I demanded a refund of my deposit due to their complete failure to deliver the promised service.This isnt merely a case of poor service; its a glaring disrespect for customers. I urge everyone to steer clear of this place. Dont make the same mistake I did. Protect your money, value your time, and spare yourself the stress. Its not worth it.
