I went in for 3 tattoos all the same day. All very important. My pups face, his paw print, and a butterfly/flower mom signed. I absolutely LOVE the butterfly/flowers. Once my pups face healed you can see his nose and mouth is all black. Theres no definition between the mouth and nose. Then the paw print, its the real print so its messy. But at the bottom you can see where it looks like he was coloring a picture and just colored out of the lines!The paw print is on my inner wrist. His face is on my lower leg.He also did 2 tattoos for my mom. The second one (it was on the top of her foot and up her ankle). He was heavy-handed it took her months to heal!I had a $200 deposit down to have another tattoo done. Knowing I couldnt get my money back I gave it to a friend who likes him.

Michael is awesome and I am so happy I chose Living Legends for my memorial tattoo honoring my parents and brother. I was nervous about a visible location and the placement still leaves option to be discreet for photos, etc. His knowledge, skill, and personality made this the very best possible experience. Clean shop, reasonable prices, beautiful work.

Have been getting piercings here for years currently have 10 from this shop they are always very clean and professional could not recommend more. We currently drive over a hour because they are great. They all have been placed very well and look great. Their jewelry is also very high quality.

Got my nose pierced here a couple weeks ago by Jay, the owner. He was so amazing! The process for a walk-in that day was super quick but I still left extremely well informed. Couldn’t have asked for a better piercing experience and I will be back!

Every time I have gone into Living Legends for a piercing I have always left very happy. The shop is very clean and sanitary, Jay and JJ are very knowledgeable, and take the time to make sure you leave happy. Anytime I have had an issue with piercings rejecting, a ball falling off I cant screw back on myself, or have any questions JJ and Jay are always there to help. I have always appreciated the honest advice I have received when I enter the shop. There was a time I wanted to change my nose piercing and asked Jay if he could do it for me. He looked at the piercing and advised me to wait a week or two and come back and gave me advice on how to help the healing process. I always loved that Jay did not try and sell me anything that day, did not give me rushed advice, and was really looking out for the best for my piercing. I would very much recommend this shop and I will definitely be returning in the future!

JJ was amazing, comforting, and kind! I highly recommend seeing her. She did my Navel piercing and a helix ear piercing each ear, I couldn’t have asked for more perfection. What a great experience, clean and professional.

I cannot speak highly enough of this shop! They are extremely professional. Jay was piercer. He walked me through every step and put me at ease. I am so happy with my piercing!

Went and got my eyebrow pierced. Jay, the piercer, was awesome, professional, explained aftercare, and took the time to explore jewelry options once healed. The shop was clean and comfortable. 10 out of 10 recommended!

My husband and I walked in on a Saturday to see if we could set up a tattoo and the co owner Mike was awesome enough to quickly squeeze him in. He did a wonderful job! Its affordable, clean, lots of fun merchandise, and professional. Mike was also precise and got the job done quick. Great experience!

Fred Whelan did my tattoo today. He is an amazing artist and my tattoo came out amazing. I got this tattoo as a memorial for my 14 year old daughter I lost in November 2023. I couldnt have asked for it to be any better! Would recommend this shop and Fred a million times over!!!!!

I had the privilege of having Fred Whelan as my tattoo artist today. I must say, I am so impressed by the whole experience. The work he did exceeded my expectations, the price was more than fair and most importantly..he was very good company! I enjoyed simply sitting and chatting with him. I recommend this business 100% and plan to be a continuing customer. Amazing!!

Love this shop!!Fred is always willing to book an appointment with you, and works with you to make sure the design is what you want.Had him do a large jellyfish and let him pick out the colors for it and he did not let me down! One of my absolute favorite tattoos!He goes over aftercare steps and how to take care of it, and they have items in shop to help.Jay Van Wert is an amazing piercer, and super fast! I’ve gotten my lip, nose, and vertical labret piercing done from him.He goes over after care, and they change out jewelry for free (after it’s been healed) if you purchase one there.

Ive known J since he was a kid. Now he does all my piercings. I trust him. He does fine work and he cares. He knows what hes doing and hes quick. It was absolutely pain free.....well, almost. What a great little shop. Highly recommended.

I just got my first tattoo there and it looks unreal! The guys are super friendly and chill. Mike, my artist, did a superb job; the tattoo looks better than the picture that I brought in! He is super professional and nice. When he accidently missed my appointment he even return some of my payment for the inconvenience. Saying I am satisfy would be an understatement. Im definitely recommend anyone looking for a tattoo or piercing to go there. Simply Amazing!

I love this place! Fred is amazing with what he does! I have many tattoos done by him and they are all awesome! Jay does a great with customer service and does a awesome job piercing. He has done most of mine and they have all turned out awesome. He has also pierced my teens and hes do good at explaining step by step as he does it. Mike did a foot tattoo on my BFF and I and they turned out fantastic!!! ALL three are AMAZING!!!

JJ and Jay are super awesome at what they do! JJ is working on her apprenticeship and she’s crushing it. From what I’ve seen at my appointments with JJ, Jay has been a great teacher and is really knowledgeable about what they’re both doing and explaining why piercings are done a certain way. 10/10 definitely recommend. Plus they have super cute jewelry for all your piercings!

Came in for a piercing shortly before closing. The staff were amazing, accommodating, and patient!! I highly recommend living ledgens!

Me and my friend took a trip up from Wisconsin, and had the spontaneous decision to get piercings. When we went in there Jay told us it would just be a 30 min wait and that we could leave and come back if we wanted to. So we went and ate food, and when we came back 30 minutes later we were able to immediately start paperwork and get right in just like he said.Jay pierced both me and my friend, with my friend getting both a conch and a helix while I got nipple piercings. He was very fun to talk to and super professional and clean about the piercings the entire time. He also made sure his entire station was blocked from view for my piercings and I never once felt uncomfortable.Honestly this is an absolutely amazing place and I would highly recommend it for anyone in the Bemidji Minnesota area. If I had more money I would’ve tipped even more than 20%.

Fred and Jay have done an enormous amount of work on me. My style and Freds have resulted in amazing tattoo work that I show off to everyone I can.Jay is simply the best body piercer in 500 miles at least. My oldest kid and myself all have work done by him and I couldnt imagine taking my kids to anyone else.Mike is new to me but his style is amazing and I cant wait to work out a design that reflects his style and talent with my desires.There is no way bemidji could have a better team assembled and I hope they thrive for years to come off my business.

I have had so many great experiences here! I got my nose pierced and two tattoos done, they were amazing! They have such great service and communication, they walked me through everything step by step and made sure I was completely comfortable through it all! I highly recommend them, 10/10!

I have been getting pierced by Jay since i was 17 and he has never done me wrong. He has done 9/10 and it would have been 10/10 if i wasnt living out of state at the time. Also i recieved one of my first tattoos from Freddy! I love these guys and the shop has a very laid back feel but still extremely professional. Go see them for all of your piercing and tattoo needs! YOULL LOVE THIS PLACE!

Went in for a tattoo with mike and was blown away by the work and skill that went into my tattoo. Mike was very kind and we had alot of fun while he was tattooing. I just got a simple tattoo behind my ear and this was hands down my best tattoo experience. I said I wanted it to be very thin and he did it better than I even expected. The guys were so so nice and it was the least painful tattoo I have ever received. These guys are great!

Jay took great care of me & my friend, almost no wait at all and we just walked in for a nostril piercing. Informed us of how long it would take to heal & showed us future piercings they could put in free of charge!

Went in with a friend for her to look at jewelry and ended up getting my cartilage pierced. Super relaxed atmosphere and great price. Whole thing took less than 10 minutes and I was walked through everything. Great place to get piercings!

I came in here for my very first piercing (septum) and as you may expect, was very nervous. Alongside the friend I brought along, the piercer, Jay, was very calming and polite. Not to mention, the piercing looks great!

How are you guys gonna run a business if you can’t answer your phones? I get maybe you’re busy with a client, but I’ve called 4 times and got no answer. I called the other day asking about a piercing and got attitude over the phone saying the piercer wasn’t here then hung up.

Jay was knowledgeable, warm and inviting. Quickly fixed my piercing problem and got me on my way.
