I got my first tattoo here a little over 6 months ago and I knew I was in great hands. The shop answered a lot of my newbie questions via email before my appointment and provided a detailed aftercare instruction card.The shop was clean and each artist has their own room so you’re not in an open floor plan which was nice. The artist I schedule with was Ben and he did a wonderful job on the watercolor style I asked for and fine outlines. He made sure I liked the size and placement of the tattoo.Photos show right after it was done and the zoomed in one shows 6 months later.

Lacey did an incredible job working with both me and my wife to give us exactly what we wanted in tattoos that represented our growing family. Professional through an through, super easy to work with, and incredibly talented. She is going to be one of the best in business very soon, and I will be sending everyone I know into her more than capable hands.*Added bonus, Lacey and Ben were incredibly accommodating with our 2.5 year being with us while we got our work done and even hooked her up with a temporary tattoo so she could be just like mom and dad 🤘

I am normally not a review kind of guy but I have to let people know that this shop is easily the best shop I’ve been too. Lacey and Ben are so personable and have really brought a fantastic outlook on customer service not to mention the amazing work that they do. In summary, great art/great people/great prices. I cannot wait to get back in!

Lacey knows how to work with color. She has such attention to detail- a true artist. She was also super cool & very patient with me as I made adjustments. She kept telling me she wanted me to be tedious & picky so I would really love it-& I do. My favorite tattoo & I can’t wait to get back on her schedule to do more. The facility was decorated cool & was clean, which I feel like that never happens, but it was clean & comfortable here! Highly recommend!!!

Lacey is an incredible artist! I cannot say enough how wonderful she is to work with. She can bring your ideas to life and create an amazing quality tattoo. The staff here is also very friendly and communicative. This is hands-down my favorite place to go for tattoos in the SA area.

Ben did a beautiful job on my flowers and my lollipop tattoo. They’re both very different style of tattoos too so he has versatility to his tattooing skills. 10/10 would recommend!

I refuse to go anywhere else. Ben has such a calming presence and is an excellent piercer. Lacey is an absolute legend when it comes to tattoos and portraits. The shop is super transparent and tells you exactly what to expect and how to do proper aftercare. I’ve been to other shops and I’ve never seen one this clean. I’d give more than 5 stars if I could.

Absolutely the most professional tattoo shop Ive ever been too. Lacey and Ben are awesome!! Ben has the business side completely down the paperwork process was a breeze and really simple. Lacey is an unbelievably talent artist my tattoo has the cleanest lines and super vibrant colors. The aftercare process is explained in detail and their follow up is amazing! They make sure your taken care of and gives you such price of mind!!! I will most definitely be back. Lots more work to do. Ive finally found a place I can completely trust! Lacey is an amazing artist, and genuinely cares about your happiness. She has incredible skill. Her lines are super clean, and her colors are vivid. She has a light touch, which is great when youre getting worked on for hours. Ive gotten my last three tattoos from her and each time she makes sure that I get exactly what I want. This place is amazing! This was my first tattoo and I was anxious, nervous, and not sure what to expect. I called and spoke with Ben who offered me a same day consultation. They spent extensive time with me making sure of what I wanted and were able to help with suggestions with the design in areas I was uncertain of. Customer service is top notch. Lacey is a true artist and knows how to create beauty on the human medium! She made my experience positive ever step of the way by answering all of my questions and letting me know what to expect with each transition in applying the tattoo. She is a warm and beautiful person who made it feel like I was hanging out with a friend for a few hours. I honestly, after a while didnt even notice the sensation because we were enjoying great conversation. I can say I have not one regret in any of this experience. It was positive and enjoyable from the first phone call to the moment I left from my tattoos completion. I feel my tattoo is of a true art gallery quality!!! I would not go anywhere else or let anyone else tattoo me again except Lacey...and from what I understand this might the beginning of a new addiction so Im glad I found a wonderful place to work on my sleeve over time . I have gotten 3 tattoos from Lacey in the last few months. Her work is phenomenal. Give her your idea and she WILL exceed your expectations. I swear it was as if she read my mind by adding things i never even mentioned but kind of envisioned. Very sanitary. Extremely personable. I cannot say enough great things about her. She definitely comes highly recommended!!

I have a few tattoo so I’ve dealt with a several tattoo artist and have never felt so welcome and heard as I did with Lacey and her right hand man, Ben.Both are very welcoming and everything from consultation to tattoo clean up and bandaging was done very professionally and carefully.I had a HIDEOUS VAGINA ROSE tattoo that needed to be covered. I gave Lacey a lot of pics and choices to do what she needed to cover that monstrosity up! Her creativity pulled together an original, truly beautiful piece, that had me written all over it. The process was very awesome. Loved the music and the relaxed vibe. I’m such a nervous person and a HUGE over thinker and I’m just so thoroughly impressed. I’ve never had such a perfect Pinterest worthy piece.TRUST LACEY, let her do her thing and you will not be disappointed she is a true talented and technically precise artist.

First things first, walking into the shop I immediately can see the shop is clean and sanitary. The shop is well organized and they have done a great job making it comfortable for their clients ensuring a safe and risk free environment. The shop is decorated with the artists previous tattoo pieces she has done and various artwork of hers. I was confident she would design the perfect tattoo for me.At my initial consultation I spoke with both Ben and Lacey about a half sleeve I wanted to start. They were both friendly and professional. I explained my tattoo ideas to Lacey and gave her the artistic freedom to design it and pull it all together. They provided me with a quote and set up a series of appointments to complete my sleeve in a few sessions. Lacey and Ben took their time with me and answered any and all questions I had. They didn’t make me feel rushed or pressured and spoke to me with confidence. I could see they value their clients in the way that they are respectful, patient, and honest.During the time between my consultation and my first appointment, Lacey communicated with me her ideas and was enthusiastic to share with me; This showed me that she truly cares about her work and client satisfaction. She shared with me her rough draft and there were a couple things I asked her to change and do differently in the design and I really appreciated how open and willing she was about it. Again, she showed her friendliness and professionalism. A few hours later she sent me her final design and asked if there was anything else I would like to add or change. When I saw her final design I was beyond satisfied as it completely exceeded my expectations. The tattoo sleeve she designed for me was more than I could have ever imagined. Her creativity and detail is just amazing.At every session I have had with BTc, Lacey and Ben were always well prepared and punctual. She took her time at several attempts to perfect the position of the stencil on my arm and made sure I was positive of the placing and size. During each session she did not rush at any point during my tattoo. She also allowed me breaks whenever I needed and was always sure to ask how I was feeling throughout the session.Fast forward four sessions later, I am 100% satisfied with my tattoo sleeve. I really couldn’t be happier. I am so happy I chose Boerne Tattoo co. Lacey has done an AMAZING job. Minute details are the difference between someone who wants to get you in and out of the seat for money and someone whose focus is solely making a great tattoo. From the crisp lines, to the bold and beautiful colors. My tattoo sleeve is PERFECT.Overall, my husband (another satisfied customer) and I have had amazing experience with Boerne Tattoo co. and we will most definitely continue getting tattooed by her!

Before I get to Lacey’s work, I feel the need to let people know how accommodating Ben and Lacey were with me. We live out of town and were looking for a new tattoo home that was close to our relatives to make it easier for us. Boerne tattoo company came recommended and we figured we’d reach out and give them a shot. My wife is 9 months pregnant and we’d head to San Antonio for doctor appointments. They were super understanding with realizing we were on the doctors schedule of things. We were able to knock out a consult on a day they don’t normally do consultations due to our circumstances. Come tattoo time, my wife and I were stuck in the hospital because of contractions. We were all able to shift things around and make it work, but I feel like that kind of understanding with a tattoo shop is unheard of.Now on to Lacey’s work. She reached out about a week prior to the appointment to share her idea from the consult. It was an awesome piece, but not really what I had in mind for my travel sleeve I’m working on. I’m so glad we were able to bounce ideas off of each other and she was able to come back with the perfect tattoo. She was accommodating and open with the design process which put my mind at ease once she came up with the final idea. The tattoo itself exceeded my expectations. Her ability to make something look so real and 3 dimensional alone should have you wanting her artwork as a tattoo. She was very personable throughout the whole tattoo making the 3-4 hour sesh go by quickly. Definitely ready to travel some more so we can add on to the sleeve.

Lacey (owner) is an amazing tattoo artist. I was very self conscious of the tattoo that had been started on my back by another artist several years ago. Lacy has turned it into a beautiful piece of art that I now love to show off.

Wow what an amazing place! I went there with my best friend for matching tattoos for my birthday. I wasnt sure I wanted to drive from San Antonio to Boerne for a tattoo since San Antonio is pretty much filled with spots. Once I saw Laceys artwork on their Facebook page I knew it was a right fit. She went above and beyond every step of the way. She made sure our design was exactly what we wanted. She drew it from scratch and tweeked it to our liking. The place is a little hard to find but they guided me right in. It is such a beautiful shop filled with art and great music and good vibes. It was definitely worth the small drive from San Antonio. Her and her partner Ben made sure we were comfortable and they are both so professional, clean and efficient. She also works fast but pays attention to so much detail. I was so impressed. It was so much better than anything I could have hoped for and so very perfect. I cant wait to make my next appointment! If you want a quality tattoo this is where you need to go.

My wife and I decided to get our wedding rings tattooed after being married for 5 years. I called and spoke with someone who works in the shop, I was told they would not tattoo our fingers because we would regret it. As someone with over 30 tattoo sessions and an avid lover of the art so naturally I was in shock. There are MANY amazing tattoo studios in San Antonio! Take the time and make the drive, don’t use these amateurs.

I am very happy that Boerne Tattoo Company has come to our town!! Lacey and Ben have brought my 20 year old Tattoo back to life and have made one in my mind become possible. I have already booked my next appointment for another Tattoo!!

This review is not reflective of the shop or the owner Lacey, but of an experience I had with Sandy.I’m a stay at home mom. I scheduled an appointment for a big tattoo more than 3 weeks in advance. I paid $80 for the consultation, and scheduled a babysitter for the whole day.The timing of my tattoo was strategic, as I needed it done 2 weeks before my beach vacation. Sandy had told me she would send me my artwork before the appointment, as it’s a big expensive piece. After failing to get in touch with her in a timely manner, I called the shop and was informed that artists give the art the night before, or morning before the appointment. When I finally heard back from Sandy, she said she wouldn’t give me art until my appt. I requested to have it before, as I am paying a sitter.She immediately cancelled my appt, less than 24h before—after waiting 3 weeks, and organizing childcare, stating that she “creatively wasn’t able to picture” what I wanted (after telling me it was no problem 3 weeks ago).I sent her literal screenshots of HER WORK off of her Instagram as my inspiration, as well as an old-school classic design that anyone with a tattoo gun would do—and said I would be open to either of those, if she’d be more comfortable with changing the style.She refused, and referred me to her “mentor” Lacey, who is waitlisted until April.Horrible experience. A real let down for me, and a massive waste of time that could’ve been spent finding a different shop. I do not recommend trying to work with Sandy at all.
