Kevin is the absolute best there is! I’ve had several tattoos done by him and he more than exceeded my expectations every single time! Everyone I met at Ink 9 was so friendly and welcoming! Super fun and chill vibe there! Will never go anywhere else for a tattoo!

If your looking for an amazing artist I can tell you Kevin or Threat both are exceptional at what they do Ive had 3 separate peices done myself and my wife has one medium size peice.My experience over 50 years you get what you pay for great tattoo work costs a little more and is 💯 worth it

Very professional setting, everyone was very nice when I walked in. My artist was ready to go to work. For my first time being at the shop it was a great experience and will be going back for more work.

I got my tattoo done by casket_trash, he was kind, very informative, he has great line work & color is immaculate, so far it took six hours to do lines & most color and its looking amazing, better than i expected, as my first color tattoo & his first time doing color realism! 🤩 i am very pleased with the outcome so far & i will be going back to him for any more tattoos i have done(:

Took my daughter for her first tattoo tonight and it couldnt have gone better! Ray is everything youd want in a tattoo artist! Knowledgeable, personable, friendly, light handed with great line work! We were both extremely happy with our experience. Absolutely recommend her to anyone who asks! Look out Athens! Ray means business!

Basically everything about this place makes me feel so happy and comfortable. Libby and threat are the two I know the most and I swear on my life I’ve never met nicer or more inviting people than who work here. Anyone giving a bad review must have gone once and didn’t tell them what they actually wanted. I’ve been a million times along with my sister, bro in law, best friend and best friends boyfriend. I’ve had a tattoo threat did over three years ago and it still looks brand new. You can even still see the white he added Never needed a touch up. Libby takes bher time and does everything she can to make people comfortable and I will never go anywhere else. Where they go, they are stuck with me❤️

Rey at Ink 9 is probably the most underrated artist in Athens. I am beyond happy with my forearm piece. She has a light hand with the ink and I barely noticed I was being worked on. She is also warm and funny and just a delight to spend a few hours with. I have already referred my girlfriend to get ink from her. I cannot recommend enough, the perfect tattoo experience.

Had a cover up done by Kristin Knight and she did a great job on making the tattoo under disappear. So if youre looking for Amazing work Id highly recommend her!!!

Libby and Lindsey are phenomenal piercers. When you walk in, the vibes are there. They were both very careful and considerate as well as great spirited. I will definitely only be going there for my future services and i recommend anyone in the Athens or surrounding areas to check them out. Matt, a tattoo artist there, did one on my neck a few months back with great ease. 10/10 recommends Ink 9!!

Libbi is amazing. I wanted to get my septum pierced for awhile but have been nervous about it. Libbi walked me through the entire process. I was able to talk to her about the size of the jewelry and my concerns about the shape and size of my nose. It was one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had with a piercing! Thank you so much. I absolutely love it!!

I went about a month ago for a simple, small tattoo of just the letters 444 and they charged $100 for that and didn’t even provide any wrap/bandage after like most places do. My friend also got his ears pierced and they charged him $80 for some simple earrings. It’s insane. I should’ve checked pricings before I went in but it was an on-the-go thing. They were nice, but they overcharge and don’t provide aftercare, at least from my experience.

Went in for a second nostril piercing that was very uneven with the other side’s piercing. Libbi was so good about taking her time to really get the placement right this time. She’s so patient, and takes her time with her clients. Plus, she’s very quick and makes sure the piercing itself is very quick. She’s very professional and sweet, as are the rest of the staff. I definitely recommend coming here for any piercings/ tattoos. Libbi is the best!

Very clean, and professional place. I got my 3rd piercing done by Dixie tonight & she was AMAZING. She always has the best attitude, very professional, and makes my piercings go by quick! Couldn’t recommend a better piercer! I will definitely be back to ink 9. ❤️

I made an appointment with the owner to get a tattoo on Sunday. It was my brothers first tattoo. He was so excited. We showed up the shop was closed and no one was there. I messaged the owner multiple times. Hours later she read my message and didn’t respond to even try to apologize or explain. I was very upset. Thankfully we were able to get a walk in spot at another shop who felt bad for us that we were stood up. It wouldn’t me respond to the comment made in reference to this review but I made An appointment with Kristen knight. She didn’t say she was the owner I assumed

Worst piercing experience I have ever had. If I could give negative stars I would. Piercing wasn’t centered. Unable to pick the jewelry used. Rushed out. Unsanitary room. No after care instructions given. Piercer was rude and unprofessional. I had to go to another shop to have it removed and they said I wasn’t the first person who has come with a BOTCHED piercing from this shop’s “head piercer”.

I got my ears pierced here a few weeks ago and I was super excited at first. I got my double helix pierced and after returning home I realized that the jewelry they put in was way too long and it protruded from the back of my ears. I shrugged it off and cleaned my ears like I have with my other piercings. All of which healed fine but these did not. I know that the helix can be hard to healing but this was not the reasoning. The stud earrings kept catching on things and aside from that my piercing would get very swollen and burn. I went to a certified piercer at three ravens and it turned out that at ink 9 they pierce your ears at an angle. This made the healing process very hard and it got to the point where my ear was swallowing the jewelry. I had to remove it and now my ear is still healing. Im never going back to this shop and I advise you find a more professional studio.

I was visiting the area and called for a piercing. Customer service was beyond amazing from the minute I called for an appointment. I was able to do a walk in for a nose piercing. Signed paperwork, got pierced and out of the door in 30 min. Their entire staff was so nice and the atmosphere was very clean and inviting. Everything was thoroughly explained and I love the fact that my piercer even gave me her number for any questions or concerns. I would 100% recommend this place for piercings.

Nice shop, has a parking lot, clean inside, professional and polite employees, Kevin is the absolute best artist you’ll find in Athens. 10/10 recommend

Kristen is the best tattoo artist in Georgia. She can do any type of tattoo you can think of and on any type of skin. You are awesome and I cant wait until my next session.

Let me just tell you, the piercer there is amazing. Her name is Dixie and she is my favorite piercer. I used to drive to Gainesville when she was at another shop. She is so professional, sweet, and calm. She makes me feel comfortable regardless of what part of my body she is stabbing that day. 10/10 always recommend.

Came in for a pair of lip tattoos and got booked in for the same day with @casket_trash on Instagram so there wasn’t a waiting process as long as you have the deposit for it and it also secures your spot. Professional and clean. Would definitely book another appointment :).

First I would like to say this was my first tattoo so I was already nervous about EVERYTHING. I tried going to another tattoo place the week before in downtown Athens and I didnt get the best service and was brushed off by the staff and tattoo artists. While randomly searching places on Google I stumbled upon ink9. It didnt have as many reviews as the other places in downtown Athens but I saw Threats artwork and I was blown away and decided to call them up. STAR #1 FOR GOOD WORK DONEI called to see if I could get a tattoo that evening because it said they were going to close in about an hour and the lady that picked up the phone verified that the tattoo artist that I saw on ig threat would be there when I arrived. That to me is a bonus because the last place I walked into said no they were about to close in an hour and no one wanted to tattoo me.STAR #2 FOR BEING PROFESSIONALWhen I arrived the lady greeted me and asked if I just called and introduced me to threat. He was super kind, super patient, and walked me through what kind of tattoo he could draw for me. Amazingly he spent about 30-45 mins going working with me and editing the tattoo to make sure it was to my liking. At that point, I thought he was going to send me home and tell me to come back the next day because it was about time to close, WRONG. He said Ok lets get it done. I was amazed that it was the complete opposite answer of what I expected and opposite of what I experienced at the previous place.STAR#3 FOR STAYING LATE TO CUSTOMIZE/DRAW MY TATTOOPrior to getting the tattoo threat loaned me a charger, made sure I felt comfortable, and made sure I was relaxed. The tattoo took about an hour so now its more then an hour after he was supposed to close and he never rushed during or even after the tattoo. THE TATTOO LOOKED GREAT! He explained to me what to do when I took the plastic/tape off and I paid him. He gave me his card and told me to call him if I needed anything or had any questions.STAR#4 FOR AMAZING WORK!Now I know everyone always says to call if theres a problem but they dont really mean it. I started seeing a Lil smudging on tattoo even though I didnt touch it and It was alarming so I contacted threat on ig and he replied and reassured me that it was plasma and it was part of the healing process Honestly, It takes alot for me to want to give 5 stars but Im impressed.STAR#5 REPLYING TO A FOLLOW QUESTION/CONCERN ABOUT THE TATTOO

I am beyond blown away by my tattoo. Jonathan Lancer (@casket_trash on Insta) did an amazing job and was able to do exactly what I was looking for. Really exceeded my expectations. Will definitely be going back for more!!

Today I got the Ashley lip piercing and it was so fast that I was out of there in no time. The staff was exceedingly nice and did a wonderful job on my piercing.

Was told a different price before and after piercing was done. Was not impressed with sanitation practices and placement of piercing. (Dixie did not do my piercing). Otherwise, staff was nice.

The guys were really cool. I had big threat and he made sure that it was exactly where I wanted it and took his time to clean up the lines and put his own spin on my design with my permission to make it look even better.
