Solid Ground Tattoo

Bruce did my cover-up of my beautiful elephant. She looks perfect down to every little detail. It was a six hour session with only two or three short breaks and he didn’t mind that my aunt stopped by and hung out for a bit. Bruce is really cool and chill to talk to and he knows what he’s doing. He also does not hesitate to be honest on what will and won’t work which I always appreciate. I will definitely be getting more tattoos from him.

Terrible customer service. Its been years but I got a tattoo here and instead of your first breath took mine away. It said your first breath and I didnt know until a few days later and then I went back and said something cause you know. I paid over $200 for the misspelled artwork. That covers my whole 4 AM. And the owner and the person who did it laughed at me and said what do you want us to do about? It didnt offer to cover it up. Or anything so it got filled in with this ratchet, looking little heart. The e got covered up and then I got like ink poisoning on top of that. It hurt so bad. Ive never had a tattoo experienced so terrible in my entire of life. I wouldnt suggest them. I dont know how theyre still open after all these years.

Creative and friendly, this is a clean shop that books out 2 months. Thats always a good sign in my opinion. Check out their Instagram to see their work. Mine was simple but hard as hell to earn! Bruce created it and made 100% certain I was happy before he started the work. This was my first tattoo and sweet baby jeebus, I am a baby. :)

Bruce does awesome work. I sat for 4 hours and loved the end result. His shop is clean and hes super professional.

After doing some research I found this place to be one of the best places to go in Oklahoma for what I wanted to have done. I was looking for a top tier black and grey realism artist in Oklahoma and Brian was one of the first names that showed up. His portfolio was similar to what I wanted to have done and I can’t put into words how much he absolutely outdid himself in the execution of my tattoo. It was my second ever tattoo and I sat for 8 hours straight. He was super accommodating and very respectful. The place was very clean and impressive. It’s been about 2 years since I got that tattoo and I still get compliments all the time. He did such a great job and I was so impressed that I went back to him to finish my half sleeve. I’m planning on having him finish my whole sleeve since he did such an impressive job! If you are looking to have a black and grey realism tattoo done in Oklahoma, I can’t recommend Brian enough! Also if you’re hesitant because you don’t have a lot of tattoos or this is your first one, don’t be. They listen to what you have to say and make sure that what you have done is above your expectations! Great place and great people, highly recommend!

Brian is THE BEST realism and black and white artist out there!! I travel all over the country and i constantly get stopped and have people ask where i get my work done. Even in big city’s like LA and Vegas. I’ve never seen better work and i stand by that! Also he’s always professional clean and respectful. Solid ground has always been a safe space for me while getting tattooed and i really enjoy every experience I’ve had there.

Bruce was helpful in designing my tattoo. I brought in some ideas - I wanted Hello Kitty and some stars. I told him the approximate location where I wanted the tattoo - my shoulder. He helped with the color of the stars explaining what might look good together and what I might think about steering away from. I always ask for the artists advice since they work on bodies every day and know what might look better than what I come in thinking I want. His advice was excellent. The shop was very clean. I believe my Hello Kitty tattoo came out looking amazing due to his advice and his expertise at his craft. The cost was very reasonable as well. I highly recommend Bruce and Solid Ground Tattoo.

Bruce is a phenomenal artist! I couldnt have expected anything better than what he did. He is worth the wait to get in!!

I have now received 3 tattoos from here (By Jay Combs). My wife decided after my first two that she trusted him to do her very first. She was nervous and he made it so fun and easy for her. He likes to talk and joke around and made the whole experience so fun she said. Brian and Kendra are the newer two there and do really great work also. Brian specializes in black and grey realism and its phenomenal. Bruce (owner) is one of the best artist Ive ever seen. I highly recommend this place to any one. They are truly awesome. Brian Blalock did my tattoo. He did a great job. Very professional. Felt very comfortable in his studio. It was clean. Love his work and definitely recommend and plan to return in the near future.

After hours of searching, decided to go to Solid Ground to rework an old tattoo; Im extremely picky and was impressed by both Bruce and Jay. I was able to get an appointment for the rework and a new wrist tattoo with Jay sooner than expected. The shop is nice and very clean. Jay totally listened to me and came up with perfect designs for both tattoos. He is very professional, very personable, and very talented. I am so thrilled with both tattoos. He did such a great job on the rework tattoo that I am scheduling to have him fix up my other old tattoo. Wish I had just gone to him in the first place. Thank goodness Ive found him now!

Brian did an amazing job on my first session, he went out of his way to provide a safe sterile environment and friendly service, the results of my tattoo are outstanding and I am looking forward to my next session, I would also like to point out that Bruce (though did not do my tattoo) still did an amazing job of answering any questions I had and providing friendly service! I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to get a tattoo both Brian and Bruce are great 👍

Absolutely the best tattoo experience I’ve had. Brian was receptive to my idea of what I wanted and completely knocked it out the park with his talent. I have several tattoos but his work is ALWAYS the one I get the most complements on. I literally can not express how much I LOVVVEEEE IT😆

So I had never gotten a tattoo before, but the artist doing my tattoo, Brian, was amazing. He made me feel comfortable about it and was really friendly through the process. The whole staff is friendly and helpful and the establishment is bright and clean. Loved my experience here and I would highly recommend it!

Came to this shop and had a tattoo done with Jay. The shop is well lit and clean, and they have shirts, wallets, bags, etc for sale if youre interested. Jay was very accommodating and drew up a wonderful design for me and was able to place it where I wanted. Everyone else was friendly as well. The tattoo came out great and the rates were excellent as well. I would recommend this place! Kudos to Jay for putting up with my crazy idea, but it came out great!

Bruce and Kody we both extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about their art and what they do for a living. The were very quick to hear me out and try to get the perfect tattoo. The price was very reasonable and they both do really great work. I very highly recommend either of them to anyone that wants a tattoo especially if its your first.

We walked in expecting to have to pay a deposit and make an appointment, but they had time to do the tatoo right then. The artist was fun and relaxed which helped my daughter relax. The work was well done and my daughter received great after care instructions. She planned a very small initial tatoo to see what it was like. Now she is looking forward to something more detailed and intricate. Great experience.

I got my first tattoo here (on my ribs) and recently got matching tattoos with my mom (on our feet) here. I went to Bruce both times and he does amazing work. The shop is very clean and comfortable. I recommend this shop to anyone!

I got my first tattoo here, and they were very kind. They tried hard to get me a tattoo that I wanted. They are very clean and organized. In the end it turned out great! I really love it! I 100% recommend this place!

Bruce Joy Jr is great! I have 3 pieces by him and couldn’t be more in love with them! The shop is as clean as it can be and the atmosphere is very relaxing!

I went in to see how much it cost to get a tattoo done and I showed them the design I wanted and they completely shut down my idea, I wanted a decent size tattoo on my forearm and they basically said no it had to be bigger and said it should go Bicep and than they said they wanted to make it bigger so they wanted to do it on my back when honestly it wasnt meant to be so big of a tattoo. They also charge by the hour so all in all you are getting ripped off for such little detailed work and I strongly suggest going to a better tattoo parlor.

Went to Solid Grounds tonight to get a tattoo because a friend from the area recommended them highly. Pssst... Dont trust the advertised opening times. They were closed. What tattoo parlor closes are 7pm? Anyway, regardless of that, they need to get there advertised closed and open times on Google right because I Ubered out there, only to find out they were closed. Which resulted in more charges in me trying to find a parlor open past 7pm. Again, who closes at 7?!

Brian absolutely killed it. Told him want I wanted in my tattoo and let the rest be up to him. Phenomenal design that’ll definitely get heads to turn. One of the coolest dudes.

Font and Hand Written Tats are always tricky, but Kendra was incredible. She nailed this tat for my wife. 5*s Definitely hit them up if youre looking for ink.

I had the most wonderful experience at Solid Ground. All I had to do is tell Bruce what I wanted and he did everything and more!!! Thank you so much and Ill be seeing you again!!! One of the best places Ive ever been to!!!

Had an appointment with Kody yesterday which he forgot the day before and had to reschedule for yesterday, put down a $100 deposit, which is supposed to be only $60 FYI, was charged too much money for a tattoo that took less than 45 min to put on and waited for an hour over my appointment time while he got the stencil ready. Waste of time, waste of money, will not be back!

Both artist are fantastic. The shop is clean, neat and comfortable. Interesting decor keeps the eyes moving while the needles run.

Go here if you want to wait an hour and a half for them to draw something up that has little resemblance to what you actually want, at an appointment that was set two weeks prior and they dont remember a damn thing about you. Youll pay top dollar for work that will likely need to be touched up or redone by somebody else anyway. Dont waste your time and money.

Cool atmosphere, the music was vibing, the artist that worked on me was very professional. Happy with the pricing compared to other tattoo shops Ive been.
