Donnos Higher Ground Tattoo

My husband and I got matching tattoos after our dog Zoey passed away. We were extremely happy with the finished product. Thank you so much Kourtney! She was super friendly and professional. We will definitely return for futures pieces.

Donno did my mom’s first tattoo and my second. We were on a mother daughter vacation from Florida and we got matching tats. We LOVED the family atmosphere of his shop and can’t wait to make plans to come back and see him again for our next ones!

We just left Donnos and he did an amazing job! We come to Bryson City every year for our anniversary and always talked about getting tattoos. We went in today with no expectations, but he was able to get my husband and I in right then. Definitely an unexpected surprise since hes usually booked, but I would recommend him to anyone in the area.

Gave the shop a message from Facebook on a saturday morning about if they had any openings for a small tattoo for me and my wife for the day of. Wasnt super hopeful that there would be any openings, but I figured Id shoot my shot since it was our anniversary. Got an almost immediate response (which was awesome) from our girl Kortney! Within minutes we had an appointment worked out. When we met up at the shop everything was kind, clean, and professional. Kortney worked with our ideas and came up with an agreed design in literally no time at all. The tattoo itself was extremely comfortable and we felt super welcome the entrie time. Great experience. Fantastic people. I got my helix pierced elsewhere but have had some issues with them and kortney has helped me.out each time and reassured me that the ear I thought was having serious issues was okay, re explained somethings and helped me put in new bars since I snagged and broke it.Thank you for being awesome!!

Kortney was AMAZING!!!!! Walked in and Donno said they were packed with appointments but would see if Kortney had an opening. She called not even 15 minutes after I walked out and fit me in before I left town. She did a great job and was so patient with me when i wanted to change a few things at the last minute. I LOVE my tattoo and plan on going back next time Im up that way!!! If you can try to make an appointment ahead because they are very busy!!!!!!

I go here for all of my tattoo needs. Donno helped cover some pretty serious scarring on my body, which in turn has helped me to feel 100x better about my physical appearance. He has not only been my tattoo artist but also my friend. I have made good friends with everyone who works here, I love them all!! Theyre all outstanding people who know what life is really like. I would recommend them to anyone. I have compliments on my tattoos almost every time I go out! Ill never get tattooed anywhere else!

I was driving by on vacation, decided to try for a walk in. Donno asked what I wanted and where, 20 minutes later I walked out with a new tattoo exactly how I wanted it 💕💕💕 prices where amazing! The respect he gave when tattooing was amazing, I would go back if I lived there!!!!!!

Amazing, amazing, amazing. They did a scar covering piece for me today, it was absolutely wonderful. Ray was a pleasure to work with, he was gentle and happy to work with me on the design. We worked together for a few hours, almost completely pain free. 10/10 recommend this shop to anyone and everyone

We were on vacation and my daughter finally decided she wanted her ears pierced after finding cute earrings at a shop in town. Kortney sqeezed her in and was so sweet and professional, keeping my daughter informed of what she was doing along the way. I had mine pierced again with her. She did a beautiful job. No tears, no redness, and no pain afterward. Youd think they were pierced years ago. Thank you Kortney! It was such a highlight of our trip!

Has a sign that says “walk-ins welcome.” Yet knows good and well they won’t take walk-ins. Tells you that you need an appointment and that the soonest they can get to you is next week. If the soonest you can get to someone is next week, why have the sign that says Walk-In’s Welcome? Also, we sat there for an hour before even being acknowledged. No, “hey we’ll be with you shortly” or at least ask what we were there for so we wouldn’t have wasted an hour for nothing. Also, they “help” someone else that walked in after you do. And why only have one artist on a Saturday if you know you’re going to be so booked up and it’s technically a tourist town?

Donnos Higher Ground Tattoo is amazing. The shop is immaculate and beautiful. Donno is super friendly and knowledgeable. They are also insanely talented artists that will make your perfect tattoo a reality. I will drive here from Knoxville every time I get the chance have Donno add his work to my palette.

So it’s New Years Day, 4 girls just up in the mountains, and we say let’s get a tattoo. Didn’t even know where to go but this was the closest one. Walked in, and Ethan was the only worker there. He said he usually doesn’t do walk ins but since it was New Year’s Day, and it was dead he let us. He was very patient with us, easy to talk to, and explained everything we needed to know about colors, placement, designs, fonts etc. 3 out of the 4 of us got tattoos and we were there for 4 hours, happily. We had awesome conversations, he sketched up our ideas(which was amazing), he is precise and clean in every aspect whether with a needle or using the correct paper towels for prepping.(bounty only) He let us pick the music in the place so we could be calmer about the pain.(one of us was a first timer) We were Ethan’s first tattoos in 2019 and I don’t think any of us are going to forget those 4 hours. Highly recommend y’all

We were able to book an appointment while visiting Bryson City on vacation. The shop and crew were awesome! Fun conversations, good laughs! Honestly just a killer time! Would recommend a million times over!

Received a tattoo I envisioned (but drawn out from one of the artists here), and a bit disappointed from the work I received because there are obvious flaws when inspected closely, and I wish my artist drew my design from his imagination rather than the first few pictures that popped up on Google.Relaxing environment, and felt at ease the entire time and made good conversation with the artist while the tattoo was being done. Met my expectations, but wont return due to the fact that theres a few overdrawn lines in my tattoo, and the pictures that were pulled from the first pictures of Google images.

Donnos work is mediocre and overpriced and he insults his clients on social media. Youre blind if you think his work is professional Im embarrassed to have gone here. Save yourself the laser removal and go to cherokee

I tried to call for a second appointment to get another tattoo but, no one returned my call. Their voicemail says to leave your name and number or you can visit them on Facebook and message them for an appointment. I dont do Facebook. If thats the only way to make an appointment then, Im quite disappointed. If you have a business phone that you can leave a message on why would you not return the call? Doesnt make good business sense to me. Therefore, I have chosen to go to another artist in another town.

I just got my first tattoo a week ago at Donno’s. Took me years to figure out what I wanted. Came up with a basic concept, and left the rest to the master. I wasn’t at all concerned, as I’ve seen a lot of his work.To say that Donno far exceeded my my expectations would be a massive understatement. He nailed it.

My friend and I were on vacation and decided we wanted permanent souvenirs 😉 We called, made an appointment with Key, and are so happy with results. The staff is very friendly. Wed definitely go back and highly recommended.
