Ivy League Tattoo Studio

My daughter & I decided to get a Tattoo together while visiting my parents in BV. We made an appointment with Toivo, who is fairly new to BV. We explained what we would like and he drew it perfectly for us! Exactly what we were looking for! The Tattoo is great quality as well, you can feel the lining on your skin.Also, the location is great! Right on Main St. The building is brick on the outside with an industrial feel, which I love! The inside is contemporary and makes you feel comfortable like you’re at home. The price was reasonable for the Tattoo we got as well.I would highly recommend Ivy League & especially Toivo Pitcock. He drew the sticker and the bird on his business card. He puts alot of time and effort into his drawings, you won’t be disappointed!!

Mike is awesome! From scheduling to day of he was super easy to work with. Great vibes at the shop, lots of friendly folks. Clean space and Mike was meticulously clean as well. He checked in often and offered opportunities for me to stretch, drink water, etc. Easy and fun to chat with and an awesome artist. I’m super stoked on my new tattoo and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Top notch experience!! I wanted some flowers to complete my half sleeve and fill in spaces. Mina was my artist and they went above and beyond to help design & place the pieces to make it look amazing! I am obsessed with my new tattoos. We were so pleased with out experience at Ivy League! While in town visiting family, my brother, SIL and I made appointments with Toivo to get skull tattoos and he did an AMAZING job giving us each exactly what we wanted. My SIL and I got small matching designs and my brother ended up not only getting the design he planned on, but another he was going to get done at home since Toivo was able to design everything on the spot and had the time to get them both done. We had an absolute blast in the shop and would go back in a heartbeat. The shop itself is gorgeous, all the staff was wonderful, and the other clients were wonderful.

Great experience here. Mike is an awesome artist and was able to squeeze 5 friends and myself in for tattoos while we were on a girls trip. If Im ever in the area again I will definitely get another tattoo with Mike!

Mina did my sister, my mom and my tattoo. She was INCREDIBLE. She was friendly, made us feel comfortable, talked everything through. It was my mom’s first tattoo and she made her at ease about it. The all around experience was 10/10! Will be back!

Ive gotten two tattoos from him, both times I came in/texted him with pictures of ideas I had seen and liked and he worked with my idea, area I wanted it and my schedule. It was especially awesome to come in with ideas and watch him produce original art work specifically tailored for me. Throughout the 6ish hour tattoo I was super comfortable and relaxed, he was extremely accommodating and knew exactly what he was doing. His prices are more than fair for his exceptional work. I recommend all my friends to go to Mike and they all love his work, vibe and couldnt be happier. I plan to get all future tats from him. Thanks again for the amazing work Mike!

Mike at Ivy League Tattoo is truly a professional!! My wife and I found this studio in Buena Vista and we started out with a couple small outline tats that turned out perfect. The artwork and experience was so great that I eventually scheduled a larger black line work tattoo for my wife because she really wanted to go back! I’ve only gotten a few tattoos here, but my wife has gotten over 9 now! When she got one a few days ago, we flat out told Mike that if he ever moved, even in another country, he would still be our only tattoo artist! Mike was fantastic! The studio is super cool, clean and fun. The tattoo was pretty quick- not painful and post care has been way easier than my last tattoo. Hes great at fine detail and matched the picture identically. I would definitely recommend this shop!

Got my first tattoo at 64 yrs old and Mina was a joy to work with. She is a true artist and answered my many questions with patience & understanding. She was very thorough with explaining the process and post care, and if I ever decide to get a second one, she is my girl.

My wife was excited about her first tattoo. We saw the shop driving by that looked nice. She texted a number they had on their answering service and we dropped in. There were 2 people working each with clients. Andre got done with his client and worked my wife in. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. She was nervous and excited but he helped calm her nerves and did a great job. It was a small piece so it didn’t take too long. It turned out great. If this is how they handle their day to day, we would recommend Ivy League again and again.

I’ve been to Mike three times, twice at Ivy League, and he’s truly the best. each time he captured the idea I was going for, and I love the creativity/willingness to adjust and work with what I wanted - he made sure I was happy/comfortable with the tattoo before starting. awesome ink, awesome guy, and now it’s basically a tradition to come see Mike whenever we make it out to colorado. you rock dude!

Mike was awesome. Super friendly and was able to take an idea from my head and put something together that I would not even have imagined. Had 2 sessions about 3 hrs each not heavy handed at all.. i could have gone all day. Mike worked with me on a cover up that turned out really well. Laid back shop open atmosphere. Location is great bc if you need to take a break there is plenty of food around and the river and park are walking distance. Hoping to get back in there soon.

Mike was awesome to work with. We stumbled In the shop on a weekend getaway and on a whim started throwing ideas around. Mike took all the elements that we liked from pics and suggestions and put together a couple original designs. We loved them all and It was hard to choose one! Having been tattooed before and had unpleasant experiences, this one was truly healing. The space feels good. Mike was awesome to work with. The snow Falling outside was soothing. Overall, I had a great experience working with Mike and I hope to do so again!

Mike is the best! I miscarried a few months ago and he did the best tattoo in memory of our baby boy. Not only is the work amazing, hes super professional. He doesnt over charge by any means-very fair prices. Hes very easy going and I cant wait to go back for my next tattoo.

I have had Mike do all 3 of my tattoos and I absolutely LOVE each of them. He has always been so easy to work with and willing to do what is needed to ensure that I love my tattoo. I usually give him ideas and the place where I want it. He was even willing to send me a picture of what it will look like on my arm or leg when I needed more of a visual. Every time I show up, what he has drawn up has exceeded my expectations. He is always available for aftercare questions. He is a genuine guy and I don’t plan on getting tattoos from anyone else.

I LOVE my tattoo and loved working with Mike. The atmosphere was so clean and welcoming, and it was clear that Mike is very thoughtful about his customers’ experience, as well as the community his shop is in. I was super nervous about being indecisive and annoying about the details of the tattoo (and even questions leading up), but Mike was so patient, while also gently offering his artistic, professional guidance, which was super helpful. It’s clear he is thoughtful, aware, and talented!

I started getting tattoos by Mike in Colorado Springs about 4 years ago. When I heard he opened his own shop I was stoked to visit him and continue getting my work done by him. I live in Arizona now but still haven’t gone to anyone else except Mike when I’m in town. He’s talented, down to earth, and is great about bouncing ideas about tattoos. The layout of his shop is really well updated and designed.I will probably have to go back for a little touch up of my bee, but other than that it was a great experience. Definitely recommend!

My experience at Ivy league was fantastic! The environment is very sleek and clean, which automatically made me feel comfortable. I gave Mike a general idea of what I wanted and he gave me so much more than I ever expected. When giving him the description of what I wanted, I accidently told him a wrong flower. Instead of acting irritated or annoyed of my mistake (like other tattoo artists Ive experienced) he was extremely accommodating and happy to changes his design. I’ve spent a few hours under the needle at Ivy League and I plan to return. Mike is laid back and easy to communicate with. He understood the aesthetics that I wanted and was able to take my idea and turn it into a solid design. His line work, color selection, blending and overall technique are awesome. My family and I were up in BV for a nice weekend away and we passed by the shop during a walk into town. My brother has been wanting a tattoo for a while so we stoped in to ask a few questions. We showed Mike (owner of the shop) pictures of what he had in mind and he was able to fit us in during our stay! The studio is clean and has a great vibe. Prices are resonable too. For years I wanted to get a tattoo. But I could never decide on what I wanted to be my first tattoo, and everywhere else I went to told me they would call or looked at me odd. I live in the Springs and if Mike is booked here I will go up to BV, I love the town and the shop. Its an unfortunate excuse for a little vacation, although not unfortunate at all😊 (stay at the Surf Hotel) Mike has great artistic sense and comes up with amazing ideas. One of my favorite people!
