Bri has done several piercings for me now and does such a great job! She really takes the time to check your anatomy to make sure the piercing you want is a good fit for you, and makes sure youre happy with the placement! Everyone in the studio is super nice. Thanks for another great experience!

Got a 3rd hole piercing on my ears in Tuesday. Staff was really friendly on the phone and in person. The piercer was extremely nice!! The establishment is very clean and smells great!!! Overall great experience with great prices!

Me and my daughter went in to get our noses pierced together. Bri did them and she was very calming and reassuring, she had a gentle touch and walked us through everything she was doing. It was a clean shop and I look forward to going back for my next tattoo here! Def recommend

22 Caliber is amazing! The shop decorations are top notch and it’s always clean.I went in to get my ear pierced (double helix), and Bre was phenomenal! She’s professional, kind, very cool, and fun to chat with! Easily the best piercing experience I’ve had to date.In fact the entire Canal crew is great to work with/be around. They’re all passionate, hard working, and overall great people. If you’ve ever been nervous about a tattoo or piercing, definitely give these guys a shot. They will do anything and everything to make sure you leave happy, and you will almost certainly want to come back!

My sister and I both got our ears pierced. Just a regular piercing. We both already have a couple of piercings so in our experience, these have never taken us long to heal. Not in this case though. Im not sure if theyre using cheap material but both of our ears were taking forever to heal, once we removed our piercings we both had huge knots underneath the skin! Its been weeks since we removed our piercings, and I still have knots underneath my skin and one of them formed a pustule and I went to scratch my ear and theres puss and blood on my fingers. Never in all my piercings have I ever experienced this! The fact that my ears still havent healed and its been weeks since removing the piercing is a problem!Response from the owner:All of our Jewelry is Needle grade Jewelry in order to accommodate folks with metal allergies which is the best Jewelry there is. Nothing cheap ever goes in our piercings. Scar tissue (keyloid) is totally possible in any piercing or tattoo for that matter. This is something out of our control. You signed a form that you understood the fact this can happen in the waiver. Its more common than you would think. This has nothing to do with Jewelry or the piercer so writing a bad review based on this should be taken down ASAP. Read waivers before you get piercings or anything for that matter. ThanksResponse: as an owner of a business your conduct and response to these reviews are highly unprofessional and quite frankly rather rude! If your intention was to get me to remove this review, this was not the way to go about it! As I stated before this is not my first piercing! And contrary to your belief, I read the form, that does not negate that I believe youre using cheap jewelry! Especially considering both my sister and I experienced the same thing, and we both were pierced by the same person! And considering this is not the first review about your shop potentially using cheap jewelry, I stand by my response! The appropriate thing to do, instead of getting defensive, is to correct the problem! And its not me! I have 7 piercings and I have NEVER keloid before! Ive never had a pustule because of it either! I have the jewelry, maybe I should just go get it checked to see what grade it actually is!!! Do better, learn some humility! Bri (or Bree not sure lol) is the literal best! I went a week ago and got my septum done and had to go back to get my Medusa pierced as well. She made me and my momma feel so comfortable and shes amazing at what she does. I love her!! 10/10 Would recommend 🫶🏻

Josh at the Canal Winchester location has done the majority of my tattoos and for good reason! He is gentle, funny, and best of all….an amazing tattoo artist. He believes that great artwork should be both beautiful AND affordable. He tattoos with expertise and doesn’t break the bank. I have been going to him for years! I have family that specifically drives here from Illinois just to get tattooed by Josh. I highly recommend coming to 22 caliber and seeing Josh!! You won’t be sorry!

This place is a joke. My daughter has a piercing done and after five days it fell out. I took her back to the shop 12 hours after it fell out and was told that she would have to come back to have it redone. Mind you I was not told that I would need to pay for it to be done. Today I just thought to call and inquire about having it redone and I was told since they’d have to use more supplies I would have to pay… I paid for the supplies initially that was not properly secured and now they want to make me pay for it to be redone. Please don’t waste your money they could care less about people that aren’t regulars. Theyve given me nothing but the run around since it fell out I honestly believe they were able to put the jewelry back but just wanted me to pay a fee. Go elsewhere.

Shoutout to Damien for completing my tattoo of lungs for my daughter’s lung transplant done on 7/18/24. I gave him ideas and he came up with a great tat!!! I love it!

I went in for over $700 in work and after everything was done healing, the tattoo did not look anything like it was supposed to. I reached out to the manager and she offered to have my tattoos fixed by the same person or a male artist. I wasnt comfortable going to the same person who messed it up in the first place nor was I comfortable with a male because the tattoo is on my back thigh and up to my butt cheek. I explained this to the manager over and over but she said my only option is to go to same person or a male. I asked to be refunded something back so I can go somewhere else to have this fixed but she told me no. Anyone reading this and considering going here for a tattoo, save yourself the money, stress and time!!

Took my son in for a piercing. This place is very well put together. I knew we were in good hands upon entering. Everyone was polite and laid back and taking care of business. I will definitely return because I have some things and ideas to have done. You will not be disappointed. 🙃

Sub par customer service. Cheap low quality jewelry and ended up taking piercings out. I have several other piercings and NEVER experienced healing issues.

I’m looking to get a piercing.. came here like 2 years ago and they didn’t greet me or acknowledge me so I can’t come back, I have to go somewhere better. They don’t do a bad job just poor customer service, look at the replies.

Bre was very amazing and super helpful with my eyebrow piercing. She made me and my friend who also got 2 dermals so comfortable. I highly recommend her and this tattoo shop. She’s so sweet and provided really helpful information regarding aftercare!

Ive gotten multiple tattoos here. Its my favorite place to go as everyone is very nice and everything is clean.

Pros: shop is always clean and organized, staff is friendly in my experience, won’t give minors piercings without a guardian present.Cons: they almost never answer the phone, I have never been pierced by the same person twice, I was pierced with improper jewelry on two occasions (including today), they don’t give refunds even if something is their fault, the shop is closed randomly sometimes.As much as I want to love 22 Caliber, with it being close to home and relatively cheap, the shop kind of sucks. I don’t think I’ll ever come back. It’s worth it to go downtown to Evolved Body Art or up north to Body Jewel instead.It’s irritating that I paid like $50 for piercings only to have to go to another shop and get proper jewelry put in this weekend.

I went yesterday as a walk in to get my nipples and my nose done and honestly it was an absolutely amazing experience. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a beautiful woman named Naomi and she explained what I needed to do for preliminaries and was open to any question I had! Then I met the piercer at this location (Bri) and she was one of the sweetest women I have ever met! She was so down to earth and was so patient with me while we did the process! The studio is super clean and very comfortable! I would so recommend going to get a piercing here! Prices are super cheap and look absolutely amazing! I will be back to get more done!!! Best place in central Ohio!!!

I got a time wizard tattoo and my artist Naomi was very kind, excellent experience made me and my friend feel comfortable.

I went in to get jewelry changed out since the balls were pretty tightened. Marlie was super sweet and gave me plenty of options. I ended up getting 3 more piercings while I was there because they had a deal. She does a great job and is so friendly. Everyone there was welcoming and they have some great music taste. This is my new favorite shop!

My experience was good, I went twice,first to replace my nose jewel then again for an ear peirce, I didnt keep my receipt for my nose, I noticed that the the person that did my nose didnt put my same jewel in my nose, she put a starter pricing in instead, Im disappointed because my husband brought it for my birthday and I sized up from the one I had, this one is not the one I went in with, never went back, because I didnt want no drama, and it was expensive 😪😔🤨, plus I had no receipt, they dont let you see what they are doing, no mirror, and no instructions with either setting, I had to ask. wont go back

Did a walk in for my nipple piercing, and I love it. !!!! I already want to go back in to get my other nipple pierced and my naval done. My piercer was a complete artist, did it completely painlessly, and such a cool pleasant person. I would definitely recommend 22 Caliber Tattoo to anyone who is into piercings or wants to get a brand new piercing. Im definitely going to go in for more jewelry as well

I went in as soon as they opened to have my septum put back in, that went great! I love the new jewelry too. Everyone there is so chill, friendly and genuine. Very clean and relaxed shop. Since I was there I took advantage of their Halloween flash sale and got the cutest little ghost you’ll ever see. Josh is definitely awesome. Great place, highly recommend and I will for sure be back!

I love this place and the artists within. Specifically Whiteboi, he’s the only one I have personally had do any Ink on my body. He’s actually done 7 of my tattoos, at least.

I was not greeted upon entry, then after looking around some I was asked if I needed some help. I inquired about a tattoo and the guy said they were booked a few months out but the girl had availability in a week or so. She said she could do my tattoo and I sent her the reference picture.Day of tattoo. She made the print HUGE. I said I wanted it on my upper arm, it def would not fit there. So I suggested my lower back, she asked if I was sure. I said yeah its a blank space. She attempted to put the stencil on multiple times then asked if I had anywhere else that was a more flat surface like a thigh. (Im a bigger gal) I caved in and said I had my left thigh (which I was saving for another tattoo) She went to tat and she was bouncing her leg the entire time, she was very heavy handed, and when I asked her to change certain things she would double ask if I was sure. Halfway done and I couldnt take the pain so I asked if I could come back and she said she didnt know how to reapply a stencil to half a tat... so I sucked it up and finished it. I paid and gave my tip like a good patron. The lines are not straight, its not symmetrical, its just not good ink. I reached out to I guess the owner who said he could fix it and hed let me know when he had availability. Its been over 2 years... Also she was an apprentice and I was never told. Overall, highly NOT recommend!

Went to their website to fill out a tattoo quote form for the canal Winchester location. I finally called back a week later because I never heard anything. No phone call or email. The receptionist sounded like she didnt have a clue what was going on besides her excuse was yeah, the tattoo artist checks the emails and they should be checking them soon. I told them that I was hoping to get a tattoo this weekend. The only time that they could get me in would be Friday which is not the weekend. It was like pulling at straws to get any kind of answer as to how much my tattoo would be and when I could get it done. I had a bad feeling right from the start so I wouldnt waste your time.

Filled out the form for a tattoo quote with image and dimensions 2 weeks ago for the Canal location and have not heard from them.Update-received an email on 11/4 that an artist will be reaching out. I have yet to hear back. I am no longer concerned with giving them my business.

We have gone to the 22 caliber in Hillard never any issues, they are busy but still get us in, Hillard is great! On the other hand every time we come to the canal Winchester one they never have time for anything even if they just had two other people and three other tattoo guys just talking, the girl that was there said we don’t have any time today and I asked about tomorrow she’s like I don’t know till tomorrow! Really how you not know what you have available. This will be the last time I ever try to go there they are rude and don’t care. I live thirty plus minutes away from the Hillard location from now on! I can’t believe the service.

A friend and I had gone in for the Halloween flash sale on Tuesday October 11, 2022, we ended up getting three small tattoos and she made an appointment for two of the larger scale Halloween tattoos. the staff was nice, and the experience was overall well the very first time.However yesterday, my friend that showed up for her appointment, and the artist Che ended up leaving for a quick trip and never returned back to the shop that day. she ended up waiting at the shop for several long hours to not be able to her tattoo appointment done. Now there was an artist who offered to do her tattoo, but he was extremely rude about it and told her that he really didnt want to do it.Also, nobody from the management staff offered an additional solution, another appointment, or any kind of compensation or alternative for waiting over 4 hours.She was trying to cover up some very personal scars, it literally took her days to get up the courage for this appointment for it to be canceled so rudely and unprofessionally.I would really appreciate if the general manager could get in contact with her.

Fantastic experience for my two teenagers I brought in for a nose piercing. Robbyn was absolutely fantastic . She was very thorough, friendly, and explained everything in great detail . We will definitely be back !!

Got my Ashley done 3 days ago (Friday) by Faun Richards. Monday the shop was closed. Swelling is so serious & the jewelry is too tight that it’s embedding into my lip. I stopped by the shop on Tuesday and was told the piercer is gone for the day and to try the Parsons Ave location. I went to the parsons location only to be told that they didn’t have anything long enough & they don’t do Ashley piercings! They tried to tell me to go to the other location because they have more jewelry options. I asked them to call the other location because I shouldn’t have to chase around 22 caliber piercing when it should have been done properly in the first place. They called the Hillard location and the piercer wasn’t in. Don (a tattoo artist/former piercer at Parsons) came in and offered a free piercing and advised me to take it out. Why would I want another piercing from a place that couldn’t do it correct the first time? They refused to try any other jewelry. Every option curved barbell, hoop, etc was instantly a no! Definitely do not recommend 22 caliber piercings at any shop!!!

Last year this was my favorite place to go to to get piercings, jewelry, cleaning spray etc. But recently they got new staff.. the girl at the front desk is extremely rude and dismissive, it’s almost like she doesn’t want to work, every time I come in it takes her forever to even acknowledge me and now they don’t ever have what I need. Convenient location but trash front desk service. And the receptionist is supposed to be the face of a company.

Went here for the first time to get my tongue re-pierced. Staff was friendly and the piercer was very nice and did it so quickly… very satisfied ☺️

Went to the Canal location for Halloween flash art that was walk ins only. Was there when they opened at 12. Had three people ahead of me and my friends. They told us no artists were in yet. So we waited as they tried contacting them. After 30 minutes they said they had no idea where their artists were and to try another location. I ended up leaving and my friends sat at another location for 4 hours before getting in.

Usually I go here and my experience is fast and great I went today to get my ears pierced and they had me fill out a form and they told me two people were in front of me the people that were in front of me were serviced and they left me sitting there still waiting for damn near half an hour without saying anything to me and just conversing among themselves. Real unprofessional

My 2 girlfriends and I went to get nose piercings. Mara was knowledgeable and professional. She took care of us, we were in and out. Quick and easy process! And the price was great as well.

Decided to get my first tattoo somewhere local. Got me in quick and the work was also very quick, unluckily my tattoo after 2 weeks was completely washed and needed touched up. and after the touch up it is now blownout and just looks pretty bad, sucks my first tattoo had so many hiccups, makes me not want more in this case

The tattoo artist union did my tattoo.Ever since i asked him about a touch up on his ig he has been sending me harassing messages. They made me feel very uncomfortable. Not happy at all very unprofessional.

Best place for you to go for any body art needs. They get a little busy here sometimes but that should tell you something!They arent busy because they do bad work, or because there are no other places to go... its because they know their stuff and handle their business!

Got three tattoos today. First ones in over 40 years. Josh Esperanza did an amazing job. One was a coverup of an unfortunate one from over 40 years ago. He expanded my ideas and made them better. Cant wait to see them healed.
