Kutters Edge Body Piercing

Highly recommend! My 6 yr old daughter had been asking for earrings since she could talk. I was hesitant from my own experience with infection at her age, but I caved about a week ago. My only requirement was no gun piercing, so a couple dozen people recommended this shop. We are very satisfied! She has had absolutely no issues. Kathi explained the whole process and most importantly included my daughter in conversation.

Kathi pierced my daughters ear lobes about 3 months ago, and she was absolutely fantastic! She explained what she was doing before she did it, and kept it fun for my daughter to calm the nerves. There was no crying :) During the healing process, weve been back twice: once for help with an earring back, another time for a healing check to ensure what we were seeing was normal (it was!). We had Kathi for both return visits, and she was just as helpful and great with my kid as she was for our first visit. Thanks for helping us through this, Kathi!

Our daughter turned two and started asking for earrings. We booked an appointment with Kathy and she couldn’t have been better with her. Kathy laid out the details, explained every step to us, and was so gentle and quick during the whole process. A few tears shed for a happy girl with earrings!

Literally THE BEST experience Ive ever had with a piercing. I have four piercings on each ear, and while my first piercing was done with a needle, the second and third holes were done with a gun at a mall kiosk. They were terrible experiences, one done in high school and the other done in college, however on both of them the gun got stuck and/or broke ON BOTH EARS. So Ive been putting off getting my fourth piercing for years out of fear for something going wrong. Did a lot of research and found this place in Canonsburg, and I am obsessed! Kathi did my piercing and made me feel so incredibly comfortable. She mapped everything out on my ear so that I could see what it would look like, and even helped balance out uneven piercings from the previous kiosk fiascos. Shes very diligent in placement and perfectionist with balancing your piercings. Its almost been a week since getting my piercings, and they are healing up nicely. My left ear was only a little sore the second day, and my right ear was sore for about four or five days, but only when I touched it (while sleeping or changing). I will 100% be going back here for my double helix in the fall, and Kathi was kind enough to map that out for me as well while I was there. Cant say enough great things about this place!

I had a wonderful experience here! Katie made me feel comfortable and safe. I got a second lobe piercing done. I was a little nervous because my first piercing was a little traumatic. ( not at this location) but, I explained it to Katie and she was super kind and I appreciate her so much. My piercing also seems to be healing pretty well. I definitely would recommend and come back in the future.

I have always went to Kathy my whole entire life ever since I was 14. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else to pierce you. She is hands down amazing. With the piercings, the knowledge, the after care services, any type of emergency services because everyone makes stupid mistakes. Her jewelry is really good I have had 0 allergic reactions to anything and I have really sensitive skin when it comes to piercings! If you want the best, GO TO HER SHOP! You will not be dissatisfied!

I took my infant daughter to get her ears pierced at 10 weeks old. Kathi was fantastic with her! She’s very confident in her work and clearly explained every step as well as aftercare. I took my daughter to get her nose pierced after having Kathy doing a few piercings for me. Kathy was absolutely wonderful with my daughter. Just got my ears re-pierced and oh my goodness it was absolutely amazing. I believe I had Kathy for my appointment and it was so quick and professional. The interior of the shop smelled and looked amazing also, such a calming aura. She had such hilarious analogies, definitely recommend going here.

We had a wonderful experience with Katie who did our 4yr olds ears. She was nervous and excited and Katie helped keep her calm, telling her everything she was going to do, pick her first earrings, and giving her a squeezing toy to help her keep focus off her ears. I have now brought two of my daughters to Kutters Edge for ear piercings. Kutters Edge is the best! First of all, their piercing rooms are immaculate, and they go to great lengths to ensure cleanliness. They are kind and explain the steps, so the girls havent been scared. They prescribe the easiest aftercare, and we have never had a problem with irritations, infections, or swelling. I highly recommend Kutters Edge!

My daughter got her Helixs pierced. She looooves them! KE came highly recommended by a friend at school and so she asked for this for Christmas (along with a million other things on her list🫣🤭) They do look really nice. The ladies were great to talk to. My daughter’s BFFs went back with her while they were done.I got to chit chat with a Mom about her pregnancy with triplets. 😮🫨 Glad it was her young body & not mine! My 1 daughter getting the piercings was 9lb 12oz at birth and I was 38. Her Dad was 46 but who cares. He didn’t get stretch marks. 😆 But both Moms do it again. My daughter is the sweetest girl. I’m glad she feels pretty and enjoys having these silver hoops.I’ll post a picture of them when she lets me. They are healing. We recommend the saline solution and the round pillow with a hole in the middle for sleeping the first few nights if you are a side sleeper.BTW, they have a great logo.

I had taken my niece back in 2021 to a chain ear piercing place and honestly I dont think the girl knew what she was doing because she was unable to pierce her ears and she hurt my niece so of course she was very nervous after that, the girl recommended I take her to a professional piercing place. So I contacted Kathi earlier in 2022 (I think) and we exchanged quite a few emails and even through the emails she was informative and helpful. So finally in November 22 my niece asked me if I would take her so I booked an appointment and I also had wanted to have my nose pierced for a really long time (but was too worried about what everyone else would think) so I booked an appointment for myself also. So on December 10th 22 we went to Kutters Edge and I instantly fell in love with Kathi and knew right away she is my kind of people! She had us fill out all of the necessary paperwork and she took us back. Everything is very clean and sterile and she very thoroughly explained everything to us, how our bodies work when it comes to foreign objects and how it heals and even how infection happens she also explained the aftercare very well! So now I have a way better understanding of this kind of thing THANKS KATHI! When she pierced my nieces ears she never even flinched! She also explains step by step what she is doing. She then proceeded with my nose it stung a little because of cleaning the area before the piercing but seriously no pain! I have had no issues with my piercing what so ever because I listened to what she told me, my niece hasnt had any problems either! This was one of the best, for a lack of better terms, public service experiences I have had! We will for sure go back here for all of our piercing needs and wants! I HIGHLY recommend!!!

My daughter got her first piercing today (septum). She was very nervous, but Kathi was amazing and really knowledgeable (which was super reassuring)! We had a great experience-Im sure you will too. Studio was clean and has a great vibe and jewelry selection-highly recommended!

First I would recommend this place 100%. Scheduled an appointment, then cancelled it a couple minutes later. Called the store when they opened and talked to Kathi I believe it was and told her why and the situation. She helped me and daughter out with getting our noses pierced. Even though everything was booked up.She was was very knowledgeable, talkative, gave piece of mind and overall an awesome lady. If you looking to get a piercing check this place out.

Highly recommend for childrens ear piercing! I took my 9 year old here and she was very nervous. Kathi did an amazing job helping her stay calm, explaining the process every step of the way. Not one tear was shed through the whole thing! Super clean and professional!

I went in strictly to get rings in my first holes so I didn’t have to bother with earrings anymore and had made a future appointment for a piercing. I was the last one of the day and Kate suggested we just do it now. I wanted industrial but she recommended against it due to the shape of my ear. I trusted her judgment and went with helix instead. Great experience and can’t wait to go back for more piercings.

This was my first piercing shop experience and it was absolutely amazing. I was pretty nervous but as soon as I got there my nerves went away. If you are looking for a body piercing.....get it done here! I wanted my tragus done (that little tag on your ear:)). I called and Kathi was phenomenal on the phone! I went down with my daughter and my niece. While I was there, I also got my nose done! I have to tell you----I wished I got them done sooner!!! There was literally no pain!!! Kathi is a pro! She explained everything-----my daughter watched the whole time and thought Kathi was so cool. The shop is so clean, you can eat off the floor! I have had no issues since the piercings. Ive been getting pierced by Kathi since I was 18, Im almost 35 now and I will not go to anyone else. Shes professional, clean & great at what she does.

Kathi is the best! She has done all my piercings but 1 and ALWAYS puts he clients health 1st and lets you know the risks and healing time of any piercings. She doesnt beat around the bush about anything and is straight forward! So if you dont follow what she says then dont expect it to heal within the time frame she tells you. You cant expect an ear piercing to heal in a couple weeks. Its months and some are a year.

I got an industrial last year in June for my birthday last year and Kathi took great care of me. Despite me having multiple piercings she still went through awesome cleaning and care tips that were AMAZING. They helped keep my piercing from infection and hypotrophic scarring (the bubble). My piercing healed about 13 months later (pretty normal) and I love it! AND her shop has a great selection of jewelry. Ill definitely be coming back for more piercings! Thank you Kathi!

Kathi is amazing with my daughter! My daughter had her daith done almost a year ago. We stopped in her shop on a whim. Shes been back to have the ring put back in twice after MRIs. My daughter also had the helix done in early summer.Each visit has been great. We learn a little more every time we stop in. My daughter is already planning her 3rd piercing as a Christmas present.

Great place to go get pierced! The shop is super cool and very clean, I got my septum done about a week and a half ago now and its healing beautifully. The process was super fast, they make you feel comfortable and its all pretty painless. I definitely recommend 👍🏻

I got my belly button pierced on Saturday. Kathy made the experience amazing. She talked me through every step from before, during and after. Answered all my questions in an amazing way. Pierced by Katie about a month ago. I originally had my nose pierced on the same side 10 years ago. The site has since been closed, or so I thought. When I went in, we initially thought it would need re-pierced, but Katie was able to take a taper and get it through. Painful, albeit, but it went in. My issue with this process is my nose was not cleaned or disinfected prior to putting the taper through (my nose bled afterwards, so I know there was definitely an opportunity for bacteria to enter the site bc it created a wound) and aftercare was never once discussed. I was handed a pamphlet and sent on my way to figure how to take care of this new piercing on my own. Now it is a month later, the site is still painful, draining,and I have what appears to be a large granuloma inside my nostril now. There’s no contact info on the site, no way to submit photos to the piercer for advice, etc etc. I’m very frustrated and worried I may lose this piercing.

Kutters Edge Body Piercing is by far my favorite place to go for both; Piercings, and buying jewelry. With their large selection of body jewelry its hard to say no. I personally do not go to any one other than Kathi Norton. She is very educated in piercing, and she has proved most doctors wrong about taking your jewelry out during surgery, or MRIs. Shes a very good resource for information. Also; she has no problem helping the people in her community. She is an outstanding person, as well as a role model. Got daith piercings on both ears, trying to combat migraines. Kathi was very knowledgeable and very upfront with me about the piercing. She told me that it doesnt always work for the migraines and so far it hasnt helped with the headaches, but I love the look of the piercing. I will definitely recommend Kathi to friends and I look forward to my next piercing. I havent had any problems with either piercing. I am following Kathis after care instructions and I havent had any pain at all.

Took my little one for a piercing after having bad experience with a place that uses the piercing guns. What I appreciated most was the time taken to explain everything to my young one and the time taken to explain everything to me. Especially what to watch for and how the body heals after piercings. You can tell that this is more than just a job this is something that she is truly passionate about.Would recommend to EVERYONE looking for a place to get childrens ears pierced!

I got my tragus pierced here while my friend got her helix double pierced about 3 months ago. Our piercings were pierced with hoops, way too large for the placement and all 3 piercings have struggled to heal and have developed keloids . The initial piercing experience was fine, but unless you are ok being pierced with a hoop rather than a stud, do not go here.

Got my nose pierced here. It was my first piercing other then my ears that i had done as a baby. She walked me through every step and explained what she was doing the whole time. I got my snake bites done there and they are perfectly even and are healing very well!! The environment of the place was also very nice :))

My girlfriend went here to get an industrial piercing about a month ago. Sure enough, no more than 2 weeks after getting the piercing, she developed a very painful infection. She luckily received medical treatment before it could get any worse, and was put on an antibiotic. When the issue of the infection was brought up to the piercer, they denied that it was infected and implied that the medical professional had no clue what they were talking about and proceeded to insist that it was not infected, even after test results that were sent away clearly indicated the opposite. We explained what bacteria was found and they completely blew it off. When asked for a refund after being told by the doctor to remove the piercing, the piercer simply said there was nothing that they could do and that it was just unfortunate.

Everybody i know goes to kathi!! kathi is an amazing lady and she knows what the hell shes doing and what shes talking about. out of my 5 piercings she has pierced 2 of them. she pierced my nose a year ago but it closed on me recently =( but she has pierced my nose, eyebrow, and tongue and did an amazing job!! she pierced my nose first and i was nervous afterwards because i kept snaggin it on towels and my clothes but i would call her and she worked with me and had me come in to make sure it was still okay which it was. she didnt pierce my lip tho my friend did in my car with a safety pin of course i do not tell her that lol. i love kathi and i would recommend her as the best piercer around washington county.

My Sons girlfriend recently got an industrial piercing here. It became badly infected and she removed the piercing. She had looked forward to the piercing for quite some time. After one trip to the doctor she was advised to remove the piercing. She also needed to go to the ER when the infection was not improving and the fluid was tested positive for bacteria/infection. When speaking with the piercer, she denied that there was infection ... even though it was confirmed at the ER! When requesting a refund for all that she had been through, the piercer was argumentative and did nothing! If you want a quality piercing .... go elsewhere!

I got my industrial peirced in November 3 last year and it nothing happened that was bad it didn’t get infected and Kathy was so sweet she walked me through it and I definitely will come back and get more peircings with her

The lady piercing there was great my septum healed perfectly, she knew exactly what she was doing and places piercings the traditional and best looking ways. Everything was clean and proper.

She could only fit a few in at a time...thats why it is by appt only...she only allows you n 1 other person...i messed up the appt thing online n she still was able to work it out...thankfully!! Very professional..and kind lady...the only thing that sucks is the shop is located on a main st...and theres no parking...i went behind the building n parked in the alley
