Kimberly took good care of me and gave me my second tattoo and I couldn’t be happier! Gave her the concept and backstory and she just ran with it. Turned out amazing and I’m so glad o trusted Kimberly for this meaningful tattoo.

My experience from start to finish with Nichole was better than I could have asked for! When specifically seeking an AZ artist, I came across Lucid Arts, reached out, and had a consultation shortly after. The process was straight forward. I love that Nichole took my idea/inspiration and customized my tattoo into something better than I envisioned! It’s beautiful and I could not be happier with it. I can’t wait to continue adding and will be returning to this studio in the future!

First off, this place is truly a godsend. Each and every artist is not only talented but amazing people! I’ve done three sessions with Kim and I can’t tell what I love more the conversations or her art work. (It’s both) she is caring and attentive and my first session I fell in love with the shop that it’s my mission to get pieces from every artist. The whole experience was so pleasant. The studio is calm and spa-like. Nichole is an amazing artist and a genuine, kind person that worked with me to develop an original color design.I love it and highly recommend her. I’ll most likely be back for more❤️

I had the immense pleasure of getting to work with Kim for a piece as a gift from my fiancé. She was so kind and thoughtful with the design process, kept me in the loop with her thoughts on the design while still being true to my vision.Every step with Kim was effortless, punctual, informative, and fun! She also kept in touch during the aftercare to make sure the tattoo was healing properly. Pricing is realistic/reasonable for the level of care, time, effort, and work that goes into the project.Overall amazing tattoo, design, stylist, and studio — all my future tattoos will be through Kim. ❤️

Let me set the scene: I’m a 40(ish) woman, mother, small business owner, etc. It has been 6 years since my last tattoo and I was NERVOUS. A forearm tattoo?! Enter Nichole, owner/operator, from Lucid Arts - my tattoo fairy godmother. Her patient, calm and intensely focused professionalism guided my vision into a reality. She, and her shop, are nothing short of brilliant. I am in love with my tattoo (of my recently passed soul dog). I’m already planning the next. For logistics: pain level during tat was minimal. Healing exceptional. In fact, my skin barely raised after the four hour session in a small area. I will forever refer this shop and Nichole to anyone interested.

This was my first tattoo and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Kim offered a relaxing/accepting environment, was very supportive/patient, and really helped me turn my idea into art. Great experience at Lucid Arts. I got tattooed by Kimberly. She was so nice, always communicated and helped me to decide the best ways for my tattoo. Not only that but the place is clean and comfortable. I wanted to fall asleep from how calm it is.

My entire experience from start to finish with Lucid Arts was a great one. My artist Kimberly was great at communicating with me and made the process easy and enjoyable. I felt welcomed and comfortable at the studio. Kimberly did an amazing job and provided detailed instructions for after care.

I dont even know where to begin so lets start with this: I do not need anymore tattoos, but as long as Lucid Arts is in business, I am for sure going to keep coming up with excuses as to why I need just one more! I have lost count as to how much ink I have acquired over the years and this has been, hands down, the BEST experience ever!! I will never go anywhere else as my skin now clearly belongs to them. LOL!I was in need of a very difficult cover-up (spoiler alert and PSA - NEVER, EVER get a tattoo referencing a significant other; bad idea) and Nichole (owner of Lucid Arts) came highly recommended. When I reached out to her, she asked me if I would consider working with her mentee, Kim Brandfass (affectionately now known as Kim Badass cause she ROCKS!) and I was initially a tad worried just given that she was newer and this cover-up was extremely important to me. As it turns out, Nichole obviously knew what she was doing. Haha! Kim crushed it!My very first meeting with this duo and I knew I was in good hands! I felt like I was walking into a day spa which offered a side of spirituality, zen and all things tattoo. I immediately felt at home. Kim was in constant contact with me as we tried to figure out the design and she was extremely patient whenever I made changes and suggestions. I felt like she really heard the importance of this cover-up and my desired meaning behind the new tattoo. After much back-n-forth, we had a stunning design!The day of the tattoo, I was very nervous as I knew it was going to be at least 6-7 hours. Id say the first 4-5 were a breeze. Ms. Badass has a very delicate touch and a way of making you feel at ease. Nichole was overseeing the entire process, making helpful suggestions, and the 3 of us had some pretty deep and awesome conversations. It flew by. The last couple hours I was not as chatty, but thats to be expected. I was uncomfortable and antsy to finish because I had reached my personal pain threshold, and Nichole and Kim couldnt have been kinder. We took breaks when needed, I was offered all the snacks and beverages, and I felt very well cared for. THE sweetest women with the kindest hearts!Finally, the after-care - I had had many artists not give much instruction so I was left to google to figure out what to do afterwards, but not with Lucid Arts. No Sir/No Maam! I got sent home with a little instruction card, a small bar of soap and after-care ointment. Easy to follow instructions. All you need to do is follow them ;-) My tattoo healed quickly and pain-free!I absolutely LOVE my tattoo, Kim, Nichole and all things Lucid Arts and I cannot wait for my next one! Look out Kim AND Nichole as I coming for you BOTH!

I can’t begin to recommend Nichole at Lucid Arts enough!! She was wonderful to work with. I sent her some inspiration pictures and she created a lovely art piece for my arm. I get so many compliments on it. I’m actually planning a second tattoo now I loved it so much! The studio itself was also fantastic, very comfortable.

I Can’t say enough about Nicole and her team. They are true professionals!.. Nicole took the time to meet with me on several occasions to discuss, measure fit and collaborate on what was spinning around in my head on what I wanted in a Tattoo. Nichole designed and completed an incredible tattoo for me. From the initial phone consult where we discussed my desires for the piece, to the day-of delivery- she was professional, kind, a great communicator and a diligent listener. I couldn’t have dreamt up a better vision for the tattoo. Her work reflects great attention to detail and you can tell she cares a great deal about creating a quality piece. The follow-up in the days after my tattoo was also fantastic and showed the pride and care that she takes with her clients. In regards to the shop- it’s a peaceful, and artfully created place. The other artists are friendly and inviting which also puts you right at ease. Finally, the cleanliness of this shop is spot-on. I’m coming from Oregon where the healthcodes/regulations are more strict- and this shop is definitely comparable to what I’ve come to expect back home.

Could not recommend this spot MORE! Last year, I went for my very first tattoo on my sternum which I was very nervous for. Nichole created the most welcoming, comforting environment. Her energy is so calming and kind. The process was very collaborative and stress-free. My tattoo healed perfectly and Nichole reached out for a follow up multiple times after which I appreciated. Nichole is amazing at what she does. If you are considering Lucid Arts, DO IT!!

Absolutely a fantastic experience! From the first day I walked into the studio to the most recent (over 13 months) the vibe is always professional, happy, and relaxing. Absolutely amazing experience! The shop was super clean, had the most amazing vibe, and was well stocked with an assortment of snacks :) Venus made me feel very safe and relaxed, made sure I was comfortable the whole time. My tattoo turned out perfect all thanks to Venus and I could not be more happy. It is my favorite tattoo so far and I will 100% be back for more!!

My parents recently moved to Cave Creek and while visiting them over the holidays I found Lucid Arts on google maps. I was super impressed with their reviews and portfolio so I emailed and asked if there was any chance they had availability while I was in town and Nichole, the owner, emailed me back and said she had an appointment 3 days later. I wanted to cover up part of a surgical scar on my arm and she made me feel super confident that she could accomplish what I wanted. The appointment was about 4 hours long but she was so easy to talk to and made the whole process so easy and made me really comfortable. I LOVE my new tattoo and will probably come back in a few months to have her touch up two old pieces for me and add to them, plus my mom and aunt both booked tattoos with her later this month after hearing about my awesome experience and seeing my tattoo. I had an outstanding tattoo experience at Lucid Arts! My artist was Kimberly and let me tell you, you can’t have a bad day while spending time with her. She has such a sweet spirit and is so kind! Not only did her tattoo work exceed my expectations but it truly felt like I was the most important person in the room. She made sure I was comfortable, fed, hydrated, and checked in to make sure I was completely taken care of. Whether it’s your 1st tattoo or your 101st tattoo, Kimberly will go above and beyond to give you a top tier tattoo experience. Lucid Arts is the the best place for your tattoo. I have has 3 pieces of art done by Nicole now and the entire process and experience has been phenomenal. Her attention to detail and overall care and love put into my designs does not go unnoticed. Not to mention the shop itself is so welcoming and filled with good vibes and energy. I love the studio! The vibes inside are amazing, beautiful big hunks of crystals and minerals with such calming frequencies. You can tell that everything was handpicked and created with care. My tattoo artist was a personal friend and she is by far the best tattoo apprentice experience Ive had! Everything was sterile and in order. I am extremely happy with my care, and will definitely return again! Everyone was lovely and treated me with compassion. :)

For a first time experience, it couldn’t have gone better! The customer service was amazing, Nichole was great at communicating about timing, pricing, and making my vision for the tattoo come to fruition. This was beyond what I could’ve hoped for, as my first tattoo the environment was cozy and welcoming. I felt comfortable voicing my opinion and talking through the process. First I just wanted to say that I have had my tattoo for over six months and i’m absolutely in love with it. the start of this creative process with Nichole was so fun and super easy and not stressful at all. Some times it’s hard to relay your vision to someone but she created a very beautiful design. Second the placement of my tattoo is on my rib which I had heard prior to getting my tattoo was a very painful spot. When it came to the start of my tattoo and throughout the process I felt 0 pain. Nichole was very gentle and made me feel super comfortable. When I decide on my next tattoo I will definitely return.

My wife and I decided to get our first tattoos. Naturally, we were nervous about the process and really didnt know what to expect. Grace from Lucid Arts did my first tattoo, and it was a wonderful experience! Both Grace and Nichole were very kind and helped explain the whole process so that I was comfortable and also prepared for the after care process. I being a laborer and traveler to places have collected a lot of tattoos over the years however the appearance and preparation of this studio is absolutely astonishing. The cleanliness and kindness you feel and see right as you come in, is just unbelievably special. I was the kind of guy that would essentially get tattooed anywhere as long as it was clean but I’ll never be tattooed by anyone else again unless it’s bladed ink and lucid arts. Kim Brandfass is an absolute legend for being a first year apprentice. I’ve known her for quite some time and the fact that she’s tattooing I knew I wanted some work done by her and I am so excited and proud of her tattoo.I’ve always wanted an Arizona tattoo being born and raised and I trusted her with the design and application and I can’t say anything else but how happy and grateful I truly am with it. She was so kind to speak with and methodically with her application that I couldn’t believe it was the first ink she ever did on real skin and after she was finished with it she took me through the entire healing and care process like a stand up professional.This studio and the people in it make you feel like your at a 5 star spa in your friends house. This review is long overdue! Twice I traveled over 1,000 miles to see Nicole, and for good reason. She is, by far, the BEST artist out there. Not only does her work speak for itself, but her professionalism is top notch and she has a beautiful personality. The way she guides you through the process and talks with you is beyond words. I have very sensitive skin and she was able to guide me in getting my skin to calm down when it flared up very red. Her knowledge on spirituality was incredible and at the end of my session it felt very therapeutic. Her studio is inclusive to everyone and her other artists that I met were incredibly warm and welcoming. I am starting to plan a third and fourth visit for my next piece. If you pass Nicole or her studio for another artist, just know you are missing out on the most beautiful tattoos and amazing experiences.

There was so much joy for me in this entire process. Nichole is an extremely talented artist. Her focus was on what I wanted and our collaboration on design felt perfectly personal. Her technical skills, attention to both the overall scope and tiniest detail paid off in the perfect piece for me. More impressively, we started with a central design which several months later, Nichole expanded upon. The finished result looks completely integrated and balanced. I cant believe I have such gorgeous artwork on my arm.

I got a tattoo done by Grace a few months ago and it still looks brand new, no touch ups needed! The staff here were so kind and I felt so comfortable. I also appreciated Grace taking her time making sure I liked the placement before starting. Can’t wait to get another!

This is the best shop in Arizona, and in my opinion, one of the best shops in the country. I would devastate for a long time and would fly into town to get tattooed. They are such a good vibe in the shop and they’re so inviting. They’re custom work is absolutely beautiful and you really feel like you’re getting a custom one off experience.

I am so happy I found Lucid Arts and my artist Nichole. First off the shop has such a beautiful ambience with AZ desert/Boho decor. The environment is inviting and not only are all the artists very talented and dedicated, theyre all friendly and welcoming. Nichole truly has a gift for design and was able to capture everything I was looking for in a memorial piece for my dog. I will continue to only use Nichole/Lucid Arts in AZ and would recommend this shop and these powerful ladies to anyone. I have genuinely loved and felt so comfortable every time I have gotten work done at Lucid Arts! The space is beautiful, and the artists are always so kind and talented. I had been tattooed at a few shops before but it was when I started getting tattooed by Venus that I realized “Oh! This is how this is supposed to feel!”. They are such a sweet and genuine soul, consistently checking in on how you are feeling and making sure you feel as comfortable as possible throughout the entire process. Not to mention how talented they are!! I now have 10 pieces and counting from Venus, and I am so excited to get many many more!! 💝

Love this studio and the lovely lady who owns it! I sent Nichole a few inspo pictures and she was able to design exactly what I was wanting! She was timely and professional and super easy to hang out with for a few hours while getting the tattoos done!

I went to see Nichole at Lucids arts for a custom tattoo design representing my son and also to have her refresh my older tattoo representing my daughter and add some design elements to it. I had an amazing experience, she is so gentle with her tattooing and they both healed up so well! I will be using Nichole in the future for a larger piece because she has such a creative mind that I know she will help me create the perfect piece with just some general ideas that I have. I refuse to go anywhere else for tattoos. This place is the safest environment I think Ive ever been in, which was so reassuring during my first tattoo, as well as my second which was in a more sensitive area. My tattoo artist, Venus, made it clear that their #1 priority was my comfort. Before putting their hands anywhere, theyd confirm that it was okay with me, they took frequent breather/water breaks, and they made sure that I knew every step of tattoo aftercare so that I was confident in my ability to facilitate a successful healing process. I LOVE Lucid Arts and recommend it to absolutely everyone.

Best choice for collaborative tattoo designs! I had a unique idea for a scar cover up and Nichole worked with me to make the vision come to life. The studio has great energy. The space is welcoming and relaxing. Down to earth artists that have your best interest and comfort as top priority!

I have been going to venus for just about a year now and cannot recommend them enough! they make it a point to ensure you’re comfortable and completely happy with your tattoo. this includes stenciling the piece in multiple spots to make sure you’re happy with placement, size, etc., asking before touching and checking in throughout the session. when working with venus you feel as though you are collaborating with them on the design & it helps you feel that much more attached to the piece. venus is also easy to reach, responds in a timely manner, and has a bunch of fun tattoo designs on their instagram (@blushpuppystudios) to choose from if you’re unsure of what to get for your session! the studio itself is always clean & full of snacks/beverages for the clients and the other artists there are always so welcoming and kind. if you need to get new ink PLEASE consider lucid arts and check out their instagram to see all their artists work!!

Lucid arts is a very professional tattoo shop! I had the pleasure of working with Nichole on my tattoo design! She was very thoughtful and took my ideas and turned them into a reality!
