Jeff is an incredible artist and an even better person! If youre looking for a top quality work this is who you want doing it! So talented yet so humble and he doesnt feel the need to over charge for his work. His studio is the most relaxing place youll get tattooed. Its one one one with no one else around tucked up in the Adirondacks. Worth the drive for sure! Jeff has been working on a half sleeve for me and its been an absolute pleasure. Will be a return customer for sure.

Jeff completed my sleeve and it was beyond my expectations. His black and white photo realism is absolutely amazing. I found Jeff after researching local artists for awhile and his work was my favorite. His bedside manner is also fantastic and made the tattooing process very comfortable for me over the many sessions we have had together so far. He truly wants to give you something you’d be proud to wear forever while also giving you honesty on ideas and expectations. I highly recommend Jeff and Recluse Studios. I have been coming to Jeff for a few years now for all of my tattoos. He is so very talented and cares about giving you the piece of art that meets your wants and needs. He will take the time to discuss your ideas and offer suggestions. He doesn’t rush and always designs a piece that is unique for you. His place in the Adirondacks is worth the drive. It is very hygienic, clean and so tranquil. What an amazing experience! I have been other places but the customer service here is the best. There are tattooist and then there is Jeff who is an actual tattoo artist. The difference being is his vision of what the customer is asking for. Most tattoo places just copy an image, but here, Jeff actually creates art for your body. Nobody else will ever have the same tattoo. Very reasonably priced compared to others. If you want art on your body, this is the place to go, and the studio is amazing!

Jeff has an awesome shop, great location and is one of the premier tattoo artists in the Northeast. He’s done multiple work on me including an arm sleeve, completing an unfinished back piece and now we’re starting a leg sleeve. My Girlfriend got her 1st real tattoo from Jeff and my youngest Daughter went to him on her 18th Birthday!! Everyone loves his work. The vibe in his Shop is cool and has a unique groove… and turn Jeff loose on your tattoo idea, he’ll bring it to life and let it flow on your body. I also stayed in his room for a weekend, and between the Adirondack vibe, cool accoutrements (including a record player with lots of vinyl to choose from…) it is a nice getaway! As a visiting/traveling artist - this is the perfect place to get away into the mountains for relaxation/working trip. The tattoo studio is clean, comfortable and relaxing environment and Jeff goes above and beyond to make sure both the artist/client is comfortable.The attached apartment for artists is accomodating and has everything you need for your stay! Cooking meal for myself is super important, so with a fully stocked kitchen I could make anything- just add groceries! Climate controlled rooms, entertainment, games, darts and even a great selection of vinyl records! I Highly recommend Recluse Studio for your next tattoo/guest spot! You will enjoy it immensely!

Highly recommend! Studio is clean and comfortable, while Jeff is professional from start to finish. He cares about each piece he creates and spends the time working with you to make sure it is what you want before you even sit for a session. Jeff is honest about the styles he works with and will even recommend another artist if what you want is not one of his! He does not charge any exorbitant fees, just stellar work for a fair price.

Jeff has been my wife’s tattoo artist for manny many years. Her ink is stellar, but when I met him for the first time it’s not just his ink that’s amazing he is an awesome human. I had the pleasure of being tattooed by a guest artist at Recluse Studio. It was so comfortable and relaxing .The location is tucked into the beautiful Adirondacks. Also got to look at the Airbnb next door and it was gorgeous inside. Highly recommend!!
