American Tattoo Society of Joint-Base Charleston

I drove 5 hours and past 2 other ATS shops to see Ro, Hannah, and Taylor at ATS JB Charleston. When you are at the shop you are family. My last tattoo there was in April with guest artist Keith Miller and calling in the girls at the front remembered who I was and were happy to hear from me. They were accommodating and able to sneak me in for a 4 hour session with Ro. Ro is a fantastic artist and bring great energy and love to his work. Thank you all for the most fantastic day even after working a 12 hour shift and driving 5 hours! And thank you Hannah for the Capri Sun. Brought back great memories. I will see you in November when Keith comes back. And then again after my son graduates basic and OCS. Oh yeah they also did my son’s first tattoo when he graduated college! Thanks again for being amazing ATS JB Charleston!

This is the best place I’ve gotten work done at! My artist Alex listened to exactly what I wanted and worked with every change and detail I wanted done! He was incredible and professional!! His line work was great and work station was clean along with everything he used! 10/10 Recommend ‼️Alex‼️Also the ladies at the front desk are to die for! Love them! Very sweet and genuine people! They make the atmosphere and the shop so welcoming!!

Stacie did a fabulous job on my tattoo. I showed her a pic of flowers I wanted and she created this gorgeous bouquet. The whole staff there is so nice . I can’t wait to book another tattoo with her!

Alex is fantastic and so talented! He listened to what I was looking for and created the perfect design, covering up an old, ugly tattoo with something beautiful and dear to my heart. I cant leave out the ladies in the front, Kayla and Kelsey, because they are super helpful and friendly, making you feel comfortable from the start. All around, it was a great experience!

I got two pieces done by Alex today and I can confidently say I will probably never trust anyone else but him to tattoo me ever again. Not only was he super friendly, he made sure everything was exactly the way I wanted it. He took his time to make sure it was perfect, and I didn’t feel like it was rushed at all. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly as well, they made me feel truly welcomed. The pricing for both of my pieces was definitely more than fair. I can say with certainty 100% be back.

My experience was awesome, friendly environment, the receptionist was so very helpful in keeping me occupied while the Artist was working on my Tattoo. The Tattoo Artist was the Bomb! He knew I would be traveling so he came in on his day off. Tattoo took about 15-20 minutes. Turned out beautifully. Thank you! OH I’m an artist so I recreated it for my wall Thanks to the awesome team again !

Alex was great! Helped finish a piece someone else bailed on when no one else would. Listened and finished it beautifully. Powered through a 6 hour session of all color. Best part, he focuses and is quiet, making it a pleasant experience. Will be back. Thanks Alex!

Just got additions to my shoulder piece here. Alex did a phenomenal job at making sure I got the design I wanted and was very patient with me when making adjustments. I am very happy with the final result. The front staff members are also incredibly friendly. The place is very clean, too. I felt comfortable getting a tattoo here. I highly recommend this place!

Alex is absolutely wonderful. He took his time and offered me an array of advice. I received so many compliments. Most of all he was knowledgeable and took his time to ensure I understood the process.Everyone was courteous and friendly. I don’t usually do reviews, but they deserve all five stars.

Had a consult with Alex, he did a great job and we finalized a design I liked. He was able to schedule me same day. His work looks great and will recommend to friends!

Went in initially for a tattoo consultation. Ended up being able to get my tattoo the same day. Alex was my tattoo artist and was able to combine two of my designs ideas into one which turned out great. Definitely reccomend them. Tattoo was a bit expensive but definitely worth it

Friendly staff. Flexible schedule. Got an appointment in the same week requested. They do take walkins which is a plus too. Got tatted by Nastacia. Gave her an idea of what I wanted, and she made it happen. She was super friendly, and did an awesome job. Thanks!

Alex, the resident artist, was amazing and the work came out beyond expectations! I highly recommend to let him free hand some palm trees! Also, Hanna and Taylor were exceptional at the front desk, both with support and entertainment!

I couldn’t speak more highly of American Tattoo Society JBC. The ladies at the front desk are the sweetest and most reassuring people I’ve ever met and Alex my artist did an insane job on my first tattoo.

Got my tattoo done by Stacie she was an amazing artist and got my piece done exactly the way I wanted it and made sure I was comfortable and I got this piece at a great price will definitely be going back to her for future tattoos!

Beware! Not open to the public, I was not informed on the phone! This shop is located inside the Air Force base. You need clearance or a sponsor to accompany you.
