I first came here to get a septum and nose piercing and had my daughters with me. My 1 year old was hysterical and not only were they cool about it but he and his assistant/counter manager, serenaded her until she stopped crying! Which was so kind, completely above and beyond and meant so much to me. The piercings were done quickly and relatively painless.The second time I came in to buy jewelry and switch out my nose piercing. His counter manager was immediately attentive and extremely helpful.JR is so skilled, that he modified the color of the metal on the jewelry that I chose, to different shades of gold, until we agreed on a custom rose gold color. Mind blown.I’m so happy with the level of professionalism, incredible service, piercings, jewelry and overall experience. Highly recommend !!!

I highly recommend coming here for piercings if you’re looking for a place that’s clean, quick, and informative with aftercare. I was pierced by Kevin and got a VCH for my first visit; I felt very comfortable during the process! And then I was also pierced by Kevin on my second day to get a tongue piercing. It was surprisingly painless. I plan to come back for a tattoo and more piercings in the future!

My six year old daughter got both her ears pierced. It took a long time to get in the room but once in there it was quick, efficient, sterile, and the price was perfect. I 100% recommend taking your littles to get pierced there.

I had multiple great experiences at Piercings Plus, JR did my septum & double nostril piercings. I couldn’t have been happier with the results. The locations of each piercing were optimal & the pain was minimal. 10/10 would recommend & I plan on being back soon!

I recently got my bellybutton pierced here! The person that works the front desk is super welcoming and helpful. The piercer is very skilled and knows what’s he’s doing. The shop is very clean and beautiful on the inside, i love all of their decorations! I will 100% be going back here for any future piercings, and i would totally recommend this place to anyone looking to get a new piercing.

They are very nice! Super great customer service. However, I’ve gotten three piercings from JR and all of them are crooked. I have four face piercings, before I went to JR I had my left nostril pierced. I got my first piercing done by him around June. It was my right nostril. It is crooked and is not lined up with my left nostril. I went back for my septum in august because I thought maybe it was just small mistake and it wouldn’t happen again. And the 5 star reviews also helped me make my decision. I got my septum done and it was perfect. However over time I started to notice it was pierced the slightest bit crooked. It didn’t really bother me thought because it wasn’t that big of a deal. Late February I got my vertical labtet done, that was five days ago. I noticed as soon as I left that it was crooked and I told myself I wouldn’t go back. I have nothing against JR, he is a wonderful human and he is very kind! But if you want a face piercing I suggest going somewhere else.

On November 29, I took a friend to get her belly button repierced for her 21st birthday and decided to get some piercings done as well. Ive gotten several piercings done from JR in the past and was expecting a similar particularly pleasant experience. Unfortunately, I was met with rude and snarky behavior from a man who doesn’t seem to enjoy his own job anymore. Customer service by his front desk worker, his daughter, was genuinely decent in the beginning, but JR was very impersonal while we were getting pierced. He did not introduce himself to my friend, or offer us any words of comfort through the process. Instead, we were forced to smell his rank breathe as he mumbled profane rap lyrics in our ears while him and his daughter continued to complain about someone on the phone the whole time we were being serviced. The process of getting pierced felt rushed as he barely gave me time to recover from my nose piercing before moving on to my surface tragus, never even asking if I was okay. When I said thank you after being genuinely satisfied with his work he ignored me. He then continued to berate my friend about her piercing, saying that it will fall out again without even knowing the context of the last time it was pierced. On the way out he circled some things on a care sheet and rushed to answer my questions about aftercare, never bothering to verbally explain the healing process to us. While all of these things could be looked pass and would not have warranted this review as I get piercings frequently and don’t need to be babied through the process, JR came out screaming “OH OKAY ILL GET IT” barbarically after my friend and I accidentally left the door open on the way out (I had forgotten his door doesn’t force close, it’s an old building so his door will stay open if you don’t manually close it). It was a genuine accident and when I apologized he finished his temper tantrum officially by slamming the door shut. I’ve never seen a grown man so cranky, unpleasant, and emotionally obtuse to the needs of his PAYING costumers. A saw a similar negative review just five days earlier and genuinely believe a man like this does not deserve anyone’s business, please go somewhere else.

Professional, personable and very clean. My 13 year old daughter had her second piercing done today but I have had many piercings done all over the country and I would not hesitate for a moment going back. If you need a piercing this is your place. Highly recommend!!!

JR was incredible!! We called and brought in our 5 year old whos piercings were having issues same day. He was so wonderful with her! Let her feel like she was in charge and make the decisions. He did a science trick and changed the color of her earrings. :) She and we left smiling and happy!!

Super easy experience with both calling with questions & then going in to have my daughters ears pierced. Honestly the best experience I’ve ever had at a piercing shop!

Went with a friend so she could get her piercings and when she mentioned her titanium allergy, the piercer went off on her and cursed her out, calling her ignorant for saying she was allergic to titanium and that that allergy doesnt exist (when it does, just incredibly rare). He went into the back and continued to curse and swear about how ignorant she was. The lady upfront seemed very apologetic but didnt comment or apologize on his behalf. We left promptly, as my friend started to have a panic attack from past trauma involving toxic male behavior. If you want a piercing done, dont go to him.As a side note, she left a similar review and it has somehow vanished. Pretty sure this guy deletes bad reviews, which if so, wouldnt surprise me, given his behavior.

JR is the only person I go to for my piercings! He’s done about 5 or 6 for me over the last couple years. Super nice and helpful and knows what he’s talking about! You can tell he knows what he’s doing and everything is very clean. I recommend him to all my friends!

Got my septum pierced this evening.Clean environment, friendly staff and excellent results.I was a bit nervous from having a bad experience elsewhere but they blew it out the park.Absolutely recommending them to all friends and family. Thanks yall!

This place was great ! when choosing my earring they were patient and answered any questions i had. once i went in the room, i was extremely nervous but he made me feel very comfortable and pierced my nose quickly and not much pain. i will definitely get my future piercings done here

Went to Dominic Rivera for my first tattoo. Felt super nervous, but he was very friendly and professional. The whole process was smooth and I left with a tattoo Im absolutely in love with. Definitely plan to go to him for my next one!

JR was great! I walked in for a VCH piercing. On a very busy Saturday, i was taken to the back within 20 minutes. The studio was very clean, and the staff was super friendly. JR completed my piercing in what seemed to be 5 minutes. Prep, peircing, clean-up…5 minutes! Im glad, because my heart was pounding, and my mind was racing, trying to comprehend what i was actually about to do to my lady parts. 🥴 But JR was very quick and professional, making the whole process an absolute positive and liberating experience. I still can’t believe I did it! 😆 It’s beautiful! Thanks, JR and staff!Ps, for those who may be curious… it was the quickest pinch. Im on day 3 of healing, and it’s been pretty much painless. It cost me $70 for a titanium bar and the healing spray. I am beyond satisfied, and would highly recommend.

During a surgical procedure, I lost my bew earrings that had just been put in at the top and side of my ear.Consequently, I had to go get replacements, and they helped me out immediately and gave me some beautiful jewelry for my ears.They have a great collection of body jewelry. Thank you 😊

I took my daughter to get a second ear piercing today, no appointment needed and It was very fast. She was nervous but owner was very friendly and professional, he made her less anxious about the piercing. It was a very clean environment and friendly staff, we will definitely be returning for any future piercings 😊

We walked in and we were helped immediately. He was very fast and efficient. We were out of there within 10 minutes and I got my cartilage done. Looks amazing and very happy. He made it as fast and painless as possible. It didnt really hurt which is good.

The lobby is pretty big, didn’t feel the usual claustrophobia walking in like I do at others. Huge selection of body jewelry. The vibe is chill, comfortable and no underlying hostility. Definitely recommend. I’ll be back once a month for a while😉I got the beginnings of a big project going with the tattoo artist Dominic Rivera.

Stop sleeping on this place! I live in VA but i make that drive. I know JR will help me with my piercings and is a great piercer i’ve ever met. I had some bumps from a piercing that he didnt do and he was there o help me with them! I will never go see anyone but JR! Thank you!
