Louder Than Bombs Tattoo

Great shop just outside Philadelphia. My daughter wanted to get a memorial tattoo for my mom, her grandmother, who passed away a couple of years ago, very suddenly from cancer. The shop was very welcoming. We walked in and were greeted immediately. They took their time with listening and understanding what my daughter wanted. They made her feel very relaxed as much as someone could be getting their first tattoo. They made sure she was good with the size and placement of the tattoo, they told her its no rush we will do this till you are happy with the size, location, and direction the tattoo was going. It couldnt have gone any smother or better. This place is a gem! Thank you for everything. My daughter is very very happy with the tattoo, she loves it.

They have always been super friendly in answering questions and providing advice through the years. Have purchased products, piercing , and a tattoo (from Pastor). I would go back for another. While this was not his norm, he is very creative and super talented.

My sister and I spontaneously decided to get tattoos and wanted them as soon as possible. My boyfriend previously went to Louder Than Bombs for his tattoos that were beautifully done by Pastor. I contacted Sean and he was able to get us in quickly! Sean explained the entire process to us and kept us comfortable the entire time. Very clean environment and has overall good vibes. Thank you to Sean for tattooing my sister and I, this was my first one and her third and we both are in love with the turnout! Will definitely be returning in the future.

Walked in on a whim a couple weeks ago thinking I’d discuss some ideas for work I’ve been thinking of getting. Sean was available, showed him what I had ( 3 ink paw prints) he said No Problem, we can do it now. And I am so happy we did! Loved his work and went back yesterday for a portrait piece of my heart dog. Not an easy task with an all black dog..WOW is all I can say!! Love love love it!From the minute I walked in the first time, I felt relaxed and no “ what if” tattoo anxiety.. Though I saw Sean, the vibe from the other artists was the same.. recommend A++!!

My sisters and I came in to get a tat. I called in and made an appt for 7pm, informing them know it would be 3 people getting the same tat. Once we got there, they drew up the tat and we wanted some color. They complained that they would be in the shop after hours and that they could not do any color. The price of the tat was high, I asked that since we made an appt and we all were getting the same thing if we could get a break. I was told by Alex, I know you made an appt but im still not going to break you down on the price. When paying Alex says we dont accept EBT which he thought was funny. The work was good but the customer service was HORRIBLE.

My sister and I went in to get tattoos to celebrate her birthday. Sean took care of us and did a wonderful job. I have 3 tattoos total and the one that Sean did was by far my favorite. He was very nice and the place had good vibes in general!

I got my 10yo daughters ears pierced here. Came back for matching tattoos with my husband today. Will be coming back in the future. Great service 👏 clean work. Highly recommend 👌

Do not get pierced here. I had gotten my septum pierced here and it was pierced way too low, not in my septum & I immediately knew when I left that it was pierced incorrectly. When I went back they told me it looked fine. I went to two other shops and to members of the association of professional piercers for opinions and they all told me it was pierced incorrectly. I had to get it repierced at another shop. Don’t waste your money.Editing my review to respond to the owner that responded back to my review. My review states that I got my SEPTUM pierced here and it was pierced incorrectly. The response back to me says “I spoke to Bob our piercer and he told me that the shape of your belly button prevented you from being pierced in the traditional spot.” I did not get a belly button piercing here so I’m not sure where that came from. If the owner is going to say he meant to say septum rather than belly button that’s also incorrect being that I went to 2 other piercing shops and the association of professional piercers like I said in the original post who had all told me that I was pierced incorrectly. My septum was repierced correctly by another piercing shop free of charge because they couldn’t believe how badly I was pierced by this shop. I know someone else in my neighbor had their belly button pierced incorrectly here and there’s another review stating that their septum was also pierced incorrectly here so this clearly is not a 1 off incident not that it would be excusable even if it was if this person has been piercing for 20 years.

I got a forearm piece about 2 years ago by Pastor. After consultation, an estimate was given and he also agreed to touch up some simple black linework of other pieces that I had. The day of the tattoo appointment, both him and the owner were late opening the shop (I had first appointment of the day). I watched them tidy up and run to get Dunkins across the street before I made my way in. Pastor was rude, claiming that I was late, with which I told him that I literally watched him open the store from my car because he was in fact, late to our appointment. This set the tone for the whole appointment. My forearm piece is asymmetrical and the linework is trash- the point at the end is not straight and there are obvious raised patches from where he dug into my skin. At the end, he wanted about $100 more than estimated and had a pissy attitude because he touched up pieces that werent [his]. This tattoo has been an ugly reminder to do more research into your artists. Ive committed over $1,000 to getting this piece removed with laser because I cannot stand the memories and subpar technical execution being on such a visible part of my body.-------------Edit after shop response - I went ahead and added different photos, since the shop would rather argue that I dont know how to rest my forearm instead of own up to this terrible tattoo. This is my forearm rested to make the piece as straight as possible. If after years of tattooing, you cant tell that one of the lines to meet the apex is bending in, then I dont trust your expertise. Also, the circle in the center has points jetting out in asymmetrical spots, the boxes towards the bottom have lines that dont meet up, and the application of the tattoo is obviously uneven. Please read correctly, Pastor added an ADDITIONAL $100 to the estimate because of his ridiculous ego. The fact you used this post to still turn around and promote his Insta/FB profiles instead of completely owning up says a lot about this business.

I came here as a walk in on Memorial day for two small script tattoos. It was a pleasure working with Frank. I changed my mind a few times on the design and he was extremely patient and accommodating. My tattoos came out super neat and clean. Very happy with the service, would definitely come back!

My son got his first tattoo here, and he was very happy with his experience. Great guys here, they listen to your ideas, theyre friendly, and their price are reasonable or at least in the same range as most other shops Ive been to. We want to get more in the future; possibly Star Wars related, and were looking forward to these guys doing the work.

Got two tattoos done on a walk in. Bob is an awesome guy. He’s cool as hell has a great sense of humor and is very professional. Not only did he do a phenomenal job on two back to back tattoos, but the shop has an amazing policy I haven’t found at any other place. Instead of waiting weeks on end for an appointment one artist is dedicated to walk ins only so anyone can go in and get what they’re looking for. I can’t say enough good things about this place. This is my new spot hands down.

I loved this place. I went and got my first tattoo here and was super surprised at how professional they are. Having never been in a tattoo shop, I expected a much different, slightly dirtier experience. But these guys are professional. No trash laying around, clean shop, relaxed vibe, good music, and very talented artists. I was seen almost immediately, got a two inch Celtic Knot, took 15-20 minutes, they taught me how to take care of it, and bing, bang, boom... done. Its almost healed and looks amazing. Ill definitely be coming back for another one.

5 stars all day....shop is clean, everyone is cool. Pastor is the guy, hes doing my sleeve, and hes extremely detailed and overall an amazing artist. Hes a legit top notch artist, and I recommend him to anyone looking to get some high-quality art on their body

Walked in to get a tattoo. Fortunately, they had time and I was able to get what I wanted. Sean did a fantastic job! I’m so happy with my new ink! I will definitely be returning for future work! ❤️

I loved this place bc the piercer was nice but i went it for my septum and i believe the placement was wrong it’s to low and the ring is was too big,the pain was a 8/10 and it shouldn’t be that bad i have 6 piercing but in the past i had 9 and they all didn’t feel like that at all

I’ve been going here consistently for almost two years and I leave happy every time. I always see Sean Roche. He’s a true artist. Most times when I go in I’ll have either a slight idea of what I want or like last time no idea at all, and he helps me find something that works for me. He’s blended my first two tattoos that I got when I was 18 at other shops that were always my least favorite into a half sleeve that I am proud to say is my current favorite piece on my body. The price is always beyond fair and I’ll never go anywhere else as long as the shop is in business. Thanks!

Walked in and Bob heard what I wanted and delivered. Asked for black old typewriter font numbers over gray-wash word. Clean, courteous, and great sense of humor. Couldn’t be more happy. Will definitely recommend.

Paul Swanson hands down is the must chill dude to get tattooed by! Paul is down to earth and easy to talk to when trying to explain the kind of tattoo you want. I have three tattoos by him and I love them all ! A lot more to come 🎨

I can not really believe how everyone gives 5 stars to this place. I am really angry cuz I paid 100$ for a really small tatoo that was just a little circle and it is not just the price but my tatoo vanished after 5 days and I needed to pay again in other place to redo it. The most surprised thing was that each tattoo stores I went could not believe that my tattoo was a really tatto. In fact, they believed one of my relatives made it because was really unprofessional. Everyone can do whatever wants but I will never go back to this place.😡

For years I was told that it would be hard to get a firefighter Philadelphia Maltese Cross with all the details. I went to louder then a bomb and they did beautiful work. I am totally happy with the work and was reasonable with price. Will go again.

Amazing went in with the wife and got a small tattoo very professional and great work so I signed up for a tattoo that I have wanted for a long time. Went in today and lets say the pain was worth it AMAZING he did the damn thing....thats my spot now

100% satisfied I had Sean do my tattoo and he was very good it was my first big tattoo and he was gentle the shop is nice and clean they make you feel comfortable... the prices are a little higher but the quality is great you gotta pay more for better quality I would rather pay more for something that will be on my body for life... definitely going back for more tatts

Very professional and VERY reasonably priced quick and beautiful work at least by Sean I havent gone to any other artist and at this point I dont think I will. Just had it done on Saturday and I am already in love and obsessed with the work

I must say I am very impressed. Before going I never heard of the shop I just did a quick Google search of shops near me and this one came up. They had me sold when I walked in and saw all the Star Wars memorabilia. Ill be back real soon.

Sean gave me a tattoo that got infected (I have about 30 tattoos) and understand appropriate tattoo healing. Looks terrible now sadly and he hasn’t been helpful in rectifying it.
