I went to have my Daith pierced on both ears for chronic migraines after trying everything including Botox treatments, with minimal results. After discussing it with my neurologist, & others who’ve had it done, I decided it couldn’t hurt to try it. Billy answered my questions, and put me at ease. He’s very knowledgeable, professional. Clean, & sanitary. I went in to have it done with a migraine. After the initial discomfort of the piercing wore off… my migraine was gone!!! So far I’m migraine free for 36 hours now which is huge for me. Just had my daughters ears pierced today... Shes 6 months old & Billy did an amazing job! He was very fast and thorough on explaining everything. Very friendly staff & every clean inside. You can tell he specializes in doing baby piercings. Very pleased with the result.

This place was highly recommended from the facebook mom groups for baby ear piercings! It is obviously a nerve-wracking experience to pierce your babys ears, but Billy is AMAZING. You can tell that he has experience with this and enjoys what he does! Billy explained everything to us and guided us through the process. He guided my husband on ways to hold the baby during the piercings and it was super helpful. The process was quick. It took approximately ten minutes. I highly highly recommend Billy. He knows what he is doing!!

We brought our infant daughter in to get her ears pierced by Billy. We almost went to another shop until we saw how highly recommended he was in several Mom Facebook groups. For once, those Facebook groups were actually right! The entire shop, piercing room, and his procedures were very clean and sanitary. He was very quick with the piercing and putting the jewelry in. He waited patiently while we calmed her down in between ears and we never felt rushed. I had a question about the piercing the next day and he was extremely helpful! Billy is very professional and I can’t recommend him enough!

I kept hearing that this was the best place in Tampa Bay for babies to get their ears pierced. So we drove all the way from Wesley Chapel to Clearwater to take my 7 month old daughter to get her ears pierced. Billy was amazing! He’s so good with handling the little ones and does everything super quick. He did a great job and although our baby did cry, it wasn’t for long and nowhere as near as bad as I was expecting.As a tattoo artist myself I’m impressed that they were very professional and clean. Price was also fair and they can notarize there for the consent form required by the state for minors. Highly recommend to all parents as a great place to go for piercings.Just a heads up: They said it’s best to pierce baby’s ears from 3-8 months old and after that it’s not recommended until 6yo since babies after 8-9 months can mess with their ears and get them infected or pull them out, or just refuse to get the other side done. Our baby was a good age for it and did great, but I wish I would have went a bit sooner around 4 months before teething got bad. Highly recommend getting it over with sooner if you’re going to do it.

We took my 5 month old daughter here to her ears pierced and as a first time girl dad, I was extremely nervous but the owner Billy took amazing care of us and not only gave my daughter her piercings without any issues, but was very empathetic to my nervousness and was able to help me feel confident and comfortable.There is absolutely no better place to take your kids for their first piercing.

I got my daith pierced by Shay today and I can’t say enough good things about her and this shop! This was a painful piercing and I wasn’t feeling well after but she took SUCH good care of me. I will recommend her to anyone now because of how kind she was and how clean the shop is.

I am writing this review to share the remarkable experience I had at Moniques Body Art in Clearwater. Please read this somewhat lengthy review as there is a very special and rather unique ending. Twenty years ago, I had my naval pierced at this location. I did not tell my husband about my piercing plan, so when I returned home and told him what I had done, he actually grimaced! But once I showed him, he absolutely LOVED it! However, years later, I had to remove the jewelry due to surgery and the pierced hole closed up. Occasionally, over the years, my husband would suggest that I return to Moniques and have my naval re-pierced. Finally, a few months before our 30th wedding anniversary, he asked me again to have my naval pierced and to replicate the original jewelry piece that had a diamond at the top of the gold bar, and a ruby at the bottom. I promised him that I would do so after our 30th anniversary trip to Italy. Unfortunately, he became very ill while we were in Italy and he passed away a month after our return home. To honor my husband, the true love of my life, I decided I would keep my promise to him and have my naval pierced again. I went to see Billy, the owner of Moniques. He patiently listened to my many stories about my husband, and let me relive and share my memories. Billy understood how very important this piece of jewelry would be and he took great care to craft a masterpiece! Just as with the original jewelry from 20 years ago, there was a diamond at the top and a ruby at the bottom, but what made this truly special is that he placed some of my husband’s ashes beneath each stone and the gold bar was made from my husband’s wedding ring! Billy was so sweet and understood the sentiment...once he inserted the jewelry in my naval, he looked up towards the sky and said “this is for you, Michael” and saw my tears, and gave me a hug. This was a moment I will never forget. I now have a part of my husband in this piece of jewelry that will never leave my body. I thank Billy from the bottom of my heart.

By far, the best place to go for your tattoos. JD is very skilled and was able to create a beautiful piece for me. Over the moon with what he was able to do in such a short time. Will be back to finish the rest of my arm! Shop was very clean and all the staff was very friendly.

My son, sister, niece and I walked in to this place to all get tattoos. We were greeted and helped by Sam, she was welcoming and knowledgeable. 4 people walking in to a place with 3 of us never having tattoos can be overwhelming. She did not seem overwhelmed at all! If you can get him to pierce you you need to!I got a conch piercing and my daughter got a tragus piercing in both ears today. Zero pain-free! Erin was so sweet and professional. My mom and I came in to get a piercing while I was visiting and we are both so happy. Did a walk in on a Saturday and were able to get started right away. Show was very clean and Erin was very sanitary throughout. Super calm and kind, she made the process basically painless. Would absolutely come back again!

My family and I were on vacation in Clearwater visiting our aunt. We decided we wanted a little memorable tattoo and our seconds for our ears pierced. We called Monique’s and they stated they could do tattoos on the 3 of us. My sister is only 16, they said they have notary there. We were very excited. When we walked in we were greeted by a girl at the front counter, she had called over for one of the tattoo artist, who was just sitting on the couch. He came over to talk to us. We said that we just wanted a little tattoo. He asked how big and I showed him. His response “that’s a little bit bigger than little”. (Below is about how big we wanted our little heart tattoo) I was not impressed with the attitude given. He then asked where we wanted them. My sister and I wanted them on our sides by our ribs. He looked at us and shook his head no, then proceeded to look at my sister and ask if it was her first tattoo which it was. He told her “that is the most sensitive spot for a tattoo.” Which may be true, but plenty of people get their first tattoos there with no problem especially with it being so little. He said he didn’t feel comfortable tattooing a 16 year old in that area. Which is also fine. Overall the guy was very rude and we were thankful he ended up saying no. I highly recommend not going to this tattoo shop as he was very rude.

Monique’s is awesome. the employees are so friendly and helpful, and they always do a great job on piercings. It’s my go-to shop for piercings! Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Extremely unprofessional. Came in one night for a forward helix piercing. Brought up to the female piercer that I can’t have “surgical steel”. Piercing immediately swelled and turned my skin purple, not typical swelling from a healthy new piercing. The forward helix was pierced w a curved barbell.Came back in 1-2 weeks later, she said they actually DID NOT have titanium the night she pierced me & ended up giving me “surgical steel” the night I got it. She was very kind and comfortable to get a piercing from, but I’ve never been in this much pain from one.Went to my usual piercer at another shop, they changed the jewelry and advised I come back in 3 weeks. At the 3 week mark, they ended up taking the piercing out as it was pierced too shallow to the edge of the ear and at an angle.When I called Monique’s to discuss this, the piercer immediately over shared and told me their “shop manager quit two months ago and they have no one in charge.”When I called to discuss with owner (@ Monique’s again) the following week upon his return, he was extremely aggressive, yelling and blatantly talking over me on the phone. He informed me he can only offer a new piercing anywhere on my body-which I refuse to get from this shop. Extremely unsafe, highly unprofessional and have no idea what they’re doing.I’m now out $70 for an incorrectly done forward helix, from Monique’s, that I had to take out.

Came here for my first tattoo and it was a great experience. JD was awesome. He was so nice, and he was kind enough to walk me through the process and what to expect, which calmed my nerves and made me feel more comfortable. My tattoo turned out great, and I will definitely be returning for more pieces from JD in the future!

Went in yesterday to get my back dermals pierced. it was great! Billy is the name of the man who took care of me. He was very professional and kind. he took all my nerves away. I could tell he has a lot of experience in this field. I was recommended to him by my friend and i am so glad that I listened. his sense of humor is also fantastic. if you want back dermals definitely go see Billy!! The piercing was intense but quick! he provided instructions on how to take of them as well.

Billy is literally the best!! He explained everything, is so quick (in a not rushed way), efficient and caring! After working myself up too much, he got me water and made sure I was okay the whole time. Absolute best piercing experience I have had. After having an Ashley piercing done by a different piercer at a different location and it being excruciatingly painful to getting my vertical labret done by Billy that literally felt like a big pinch I was shocked.Thank you so much Billy!!! Absolutely hands down the most friendly staff best place around for all tattoo and piercings. Even had them do a laser removal of an old tattoo of mine and what a great job they do.

I have never gotten my nose pierced and the lady who did mine was the nicest, told me what she was gonna do, clean professional, and fast, it was over all a great experience!Two years laterI went back and re-pierced my nose here they were so great the first time and great the second time as well!Went back again in 2024 to get my third hole done with my friend who got her helix done was lovely as always

I went here today and got my first tattoo, JD did an amazing job and I couldn’t be more happy. If you ever want a really good tattoo, JD at Monique’s is truly a great dude to see for it. Also the shops atmosphere was really nice, and so were the workers.

My brother has used Kevin for his shading only tattoos for the second time and Ive got to say hes awesome. Cannot wait to discuss my Horror piece with him. Very sweet, professional and best of all a beast at his craft!

People wander why their businesses go under. ALOT of the time its because of customer service. I was driving by today and had wanted to stop to speak to someone about additional work I wanted done. I have gotten a couple of nice pieces from 2 different artists at Moniques. I noticed 2 cars out front and 2 guys inside so I assumed they were open. Shame in me. The door was unlocked and I walked in and was approached as if I had 2 heads. A guy walked from another room and impolitely asked me if he could help me. But not in a helpful manner, in an irritated one. Then another guy came in behing me and asked why there were people there when they didnt open until noon. First guy looked baffled and told him that me and the other guy just walked in. YOUR DOOR WAS UNLOCKED. Never addressing me and saying sorry we dont open until noon I guess the door was left unlocked but instead just said I dont know why there are people here when we dont open until noon. Rudeness will put a bad taste in your mouth no matter how good the product. Guess Im on the hunt again for another artist. Ugh 😩

I stopped by to get two earrings put back in and a new 14K gold hoop for my rook. Easy and looks great.

My ear lobes have been pierced since 1976 and one closed 8 months ago. Billy came highly recommended; I definitely also recommend him for his professionalism, skill, knowledge, sense of humor, and integrity. Felt comfortable the moment I met him.

I’ve gotten my Septum, Belly Button, and then Tongue pierced by Billy. He does a phenomenal job each time! He’s funny and very gentle. He explains the process and cleaning thoroughly and all my piercings are done very well.

We took our 10 year old to get her a second ear piercing in her ears. The two guys in the shop were friendly and professional. Billy was so nice to my kid and she was shocked at how painless the first one was (but then knew to brace for the second one lol). He showed me where the backs of the earrings needed to stay and reviewed how to take care of them with her. 10/10 Highly recommended this shop!

After browsing through reviews and marinating on getting my septum pierced for a while, I finally got the courage to go and get it done! Billy was absolutely phenomenal. From his calm, kind, and funny demeanor to providing me with choices/education during the entire process to make me feel safe and comfortable, words cannot express the gratitude I have towards him. He was able to put up with my nervous attitude and even though I told him I was going to die multiple times, we both made it out alive haha! Shayna pierced both my nipples yesterday and I just want to say how AMAZING she did. I have had them pierced numerous times prior and she was by far the best!! (And through scar tissue!) I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND her services!!

We are visiting from out of town and walked into Monique’s after a beach day on a Saturday. There was no wait time and front staff was great. It was super clean and a nice atmosphere. Billy did ear piercings for the three of us - he was kind, professional, and did an amazing job on the piercings. He was also fun and funny and made the whole experience super enjoyable! Highly recommend for anything you need, but you have to see Billy for piercings!

Came in on a Friday around 6. Four people in our party wanted a walk-in tattoo as we’re flying home tomorrow. Everyone at Monique’s was extremely accommodating. JD had all four of our ideas sketched, on templates, and on us in less than 3 hours. He did a perfect job on every one. Billy is the absolute best! Took my 7 year old daughter to get her ears pierced weeks ago and he did such a great job. Unfortunately one of her earrings fell out and we didn’t realize it and she wouldn’t let her dad or I try and put it back in. We ended up taking her back to see Billy and he worked so patiently with her to finally get the earring back in. Wouldn’t take my kids anywhere else to get piercings.

Charged me $300 for two words.. the lady refused to do a font that I asked (which was a basic font) by telling me “no im not doing that” and only gave me her options for fonts. She was honestly just really disrespectful.

Had a great experience!! Way better than the last place we went to.....Tattoo Factory of Tampa Bay, they were terrible. Moniques employees have great personalities and are very welcoming and make you feel comfortable. Very professional and highly recommended!!!!

I’m so glad I took the advice of a friend and took my 6 year old to a tattoo shop for piercing! Billy was very personable and professional and put my daughter at ease for her piercing. I got a piercing also while we were there and it was a great mom daughter experience. 6 months later when one of the earrings got lost and I had a hard time getting an earring back in, I took her back up here and Billy put a new earring in and also checked the other ear to make sure it was healthy.

My newly pierced nose ring was snatched out & I had the hardest time replacing it!! Billy came to the rescue with ease! Got me in & out. No complaints 😁

Amazing place for a piercing! I came once for a double helix and lobe piercing for the first time and Billy made it incredibly easy and painless. I then returned after having a painful experience elsewhere. Billy is very reassuring and has an incredible humor. As I expected, it was once again a painless experience. I will return for many more piercings, definitely the best piercer in Clearwater!

I came in to get 3 letters tattooed above my eyebrow. The tattoo artist did everything he could to send me out the door. He would not work with me. He did not even try to make me feel comfortable. I was set on what I wanted and where I wanted it. I am 30yo and have over 80 tattoos. The need for the the artist to continuously asking me if I was sure about the placement was aggravating me. I was very open about the font. He printed something out that made the lettering look weird. I did not like it. I asked him if he could use a different font, he basically told me I would have the same result in any font. At that point I felt like he did not want to do the tattoo. I flat out asked him if he didnt want to do it. He said he didnt have a problem with doing it but his body language told a different story. I decided to walk out the door. Which Im VERY glad I did. I ended up going to a another tattoo shop to get the tattoo and it came out amazing!! I will NEVER go back there.*edit* this is NOT several drawings. I openly asked if he did not want to do it. He should of said, no to save us both the time. In conclusion, I am very glad I went somewhere else too! :)

Ari has been working on my half sleeve on and off for about a year. He’s a great guy to work with and does killer ink. He is there to put ink on your skin and has come up with exactly what I’ve wanted with minimal input from me. He is fast doesn’t blow out lines perfect colors and is chill to talk to. Don’t go in there softer than a marshmallow get to the point and you’ll get exactly what you want every time.

They were great. Very reassuring and made the piercing process so easy. Drove 20 miles to come here and was totally worth it.

JD helped me right away when I went in to get a small tattoo. It was an addition to another symbol tattoo that I have. He knew what I wanted immediately and took his time making sure that it was in the correct position and size to match the other. Really nice guy and good artist! Thank you!

My brother and I got matching white lotus tile tattoos by Moe and theyre perfect! He was ridiculously quick for the quality! It took less than 15 minutes on each tattoo. We came in with an image and he was able to draw it up super quick and even helped me change the image to better suit my wants. Awesome communication, super chill and very professional. I also got my ear lobes pierced and was shocked at how painless and quick the process was. Very clean shop that is literally an art gallery. Very happy!

Got my 2nd cartlidge piercing yesterday. 1st was a tragus, this time did my rook. Billy is awesome. He has great energy, is positive, professional and fast! I would go back again and definintely recommend to friends and family. They are helpful both at the time of getting your piercing and will answer questions if you call up or stop in after. Got me septum pierced and one of the balls kept falling out lol but they kept replacing it free of charge and were super cool about it. And later on I got my ears pierced and those came out great too. Friendly staff and amazing atmosphere. Will most definitely be returning!

Yay really cool place. Owner went out of his way to meet our needs. And great piercings. He made sure my 16 year old daughter was aware of all the things he was doing how to care for it and clean it and he was very entertaining. As well as my nieces piercing he did a great job.

Ive been to Moniques Body Art for piercings for myself and my daughter (septum, nostril, belly). Billy did the piercings and he did a great job. The piercings always look great and heal beautifully. Billy has a great sense of humor and makes the experience a nice one. Weve been on Saturdays. Its always super busy on Saturdays. If you dont mind the wait its definitely worth it, otherwise maybe try going during the week. I havent gotten a tattoo myself but Ive seen others as they have had theirs completed and they always look amazing.

Moniques is one of those places that you really should take the time and leave a good review and positive comments because they just take such good care of their clientele. This tattoo and piercing studio really stands above with exceptional service, friendly and helpful and KNOWLEDGEABLE professionals, and quality service. I went in to get my nose ring switched back to a stud after having some issues from getting it pierced from a big brand named shop and I have to say Moniques is probably the most comfortable studio atmosphere Ive ever been in. Erin was(and will remain), my piercer and she is just so kind and awesome and knowledgeable. I even came back about a week ago to have her pierce my septum!Everyone here is so nice and they have quality jewelery and I cant say enough great things about this place!

We went to this place off reviews. We had family in town and spontaneous decision for us all to get tattoos. We walked in and place smelled clean and entire staff was super friendly. They fit us all in and this was my first tattoo and I had Kevin who was really good and helped make my first tattoo a good experience. Julian was Amazing! He did my tattoo dedicated to my mom, who died exactly a year ago. He seriously went above my expectations for a black/white with shading tattoo. I also asked to have my moms handwriting added to the tattoo so I can forever see her love you to me. He seriously knocked it out of the park. Billy is my favorite piercer, he’s the only person I trust and refer anyone to. My family has been going to him for years and we’ve had nothing but amazing experiences every time. I was having almost constant migraines for a year and was told daith piercings are a pressure point to help manage them so I went in for one not thinking it would actually help much but I haven’t had a migraine in 3 years!! I’ve also gotten my ears, my tragus fixed, and my nipples done by him!

WOW, this shop has nearly 500 reviews at nearly 5 stars for a good reason.I have gotten a few piercing done before between the usual ear and belly button but never the face - I came in to get my nostril pierced and immediately upon walking in, I was pleased with my choice to come to Moniques.The lobby is lovely - clean but not in that cold type of way. Very welcoming. Billy was very attentive immediately, despite being the only person presently available (the shop had just opened up like 30 min prior) and having a few customers already. He may be busy but Billy was very kind and when he was speaking with you, his attention was undivided.Billy did my piercing and absolute 10/10. So fast and swift with the needle. The area was clean, supplies were sterile (he prepped right in front of me so I could confirm it) and I could not be happier!They also MAKE jewelry there! Super cool.I cannot recommend Moniques enough. To be in and out of the shop so quickly [which is a GOOD thing when it comes to a piercing lol] and yet to still have such an impactful, positive experience in that time is a great sign of not only talented people, but also good people.OH and on top of it all: so affordable!Bottom line: go see Billy. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ive been here twice in the last few weeks for multiple piercings. First time was for a flat and a daith, second visit was for a conch piercing. First visit was the woman piercer, didnt catch her name, and second visit was with Billy. Ive been here in previous years to see Billy for piercings and he always does a great job. The girl working there was just as good of a piercer but I think I still prefer Billy overall. Every experience here has been good, equipment is nice and clean and I would definitely recommend this place for piercings.I made the mistake of a nail gun place for my first cartilage piercing and while the gun gets the process of piercing done a little faster the darn thing never healed right, but all my piercings here- tongue, tragus, and the three new ones daith conch and flat have and are healing at a good rate without any issues. I highly recommend this place and at the very least recommend anyone getting a piercing makes sure its with a professional not a place using the piercing guns.

Got my septum repierced here after a different shop went straight through my cartilage with a 14g needle. billy was super chill and made me very comfortable during the whole process!! my piercing looks and feels miles better than it did before, highly recommend this place!!

My MIL and I got tattoos for Christmas, and John was amazing! He was by far the most friendly and least pretentious artist I have ever worked with. He complimented both of our designs and made us feel special and excited for our new ink. My tattoo turned out beautiful (American Traditional black outline of a poppy on my lower calf). Went in to get my first tattoo. I wanted to get something that was written in my grandmothers handwriting. The artist (Moe) said it was no problem and went back to get a copy of it. When coming back he said the tattoo would be $100. There was no explanation for why it was so expensive. My mom had gone back in 2019 and it was only $60 for her tattoo (which is bigger than mine). I’m not sure if I was upcharged because of my age or just inflation but I find that kinda ridiculous. I’m happy with my tattoo but I feel like I got ripped off.

I walked in to get my ear lobes double pierced on a whim, and Shaina was so friendly and professional! She obviously knew what she was doing, the environment was clean and well kept, and she made sure I was comfortable and happy with everything before going through with the piercing. BEST PIERCING EXPERIENCE EVER! I was very nervous when going in because the last piercing I got was my ear lobes at 3 months old, but they were so welcoming and made me feel so comfortable. Upon walking in, the vibe was chill! The staff was professional and nice, asking me what I was there for and got me set up with everything I needed before turning me over to Shayna who did my navel piercing. She was absolutely amazing! Very clean and explained everything she was doing. I’ve had piercings done before and this was the quickest and most easy one I’ve ever had. Shayna is amazing at her job and if I need anything else done, I won’t hesitate to make the trip down from WV to FL.

This place is where I would go for a high end tattoo experience. They have the most professional, positive, great surrounding tattoo palace Ive been too. All the artist are super nice, they love showing off each others work. Each artist has individually taken time to introduce themselves and say hello. They make me feel at home here. Plus like I said, this is more then a typical tattoo shop. Its a Palace. Its a club house. Its great! The culture is here and I highly recommend this place and the people in it. I personally get tattooed by Kevin and he is amazing in every way. Even the owner of this shop is super nice, very friendly and welcoming. Come on in and live!

It was amazing!!!! I was extremely nervous since it was my first piercing but everyone was so kind and patient. I asked a million questions and Billy was my piercer (he answered all of them very clearly). Love it!!!!

Ive gotten all my facial piercings here, 2/3 done by Billy specifically. He is amazing. A knowledgable and fun guy with a good sense of humor to make sure you arent nervous at all. He told me about piercing care before and after I got pierced which was really nice to hear (even though Ive heard it many times). Staff is always welcoming and friendly and the wait is never more than 10 minutes- and Ive been a walk-in every single time. The shop is clean and well put together as are the people who work there.

We took our 5 and 1/2 month old to get her ears pierced here. Billy was amazing and we think he did a wonderful job with our daughter. However, the earrings we picked up front with the front desk weren’t the ones put in her ears. So now the ones in her ears are too big and have been getting caught on everything and bleeding. I called to inform them and Billy is on vacation, whoever I spoke too said she could change them out and told us the risk about it. She was helpful. We live 2 hours and it’s hard for us to drive there. I think they are a great place but please please please make sure you check the earrings before placing them in your child’s ear!!

Moniques is the only place I trust to get my tattoos. Kevin is super nice and just all around amazing. I’ve gotten two tattoos from this place and am super happy with both. They’re super clean, nice, and it’s a good atmosphere all around. I got my second lobe piercings and a cartilage piercing about a month ago. I walked in without an appointment and I had to wait a little bit but the employees helped me as quickly as they could. It was not bad at all. The man was quite helpful in showing the jewelry options and the process went by quickly and painfully. The tools and room were clean. Overall, great service and clean process.

I got my first tattoo almost 3 years ago from Kevin. Kevin has been my artist for every tat I now proudly wear. They are all amazing and I frequently get positive comments from strangers on how great they look. Kevin listens to your request, makes suggestions on what does works for the long term, and does amazing artwork. He is patient and will do a terrific job every time. The other artists in the shop all do great work. I have seen some amazing work from them all over the past 3 years. It is the only place I will go. Billy, the owner, is a legend for his piercing skills. He will do all he can to get you what you are looking for. Every one there is like family. If you want a great lasting tattoo, I highly recommend Kevin and Moniques for all your tattoo and piercing desires. You will not be disappointed.

I had an ear piercing that got infected and ended up swallowing the stud. They guy there was kind of enough to see me just a few minutes before closing and helped me take it out, saving me a more expensive trip to a doctor. While there I was impressed by their jewelry selection so I will be returning sometime soon. The guy had a very trustworthy demeanor

I just got my septum and right side of my nose pierced. I was given a consent form a few moments after coming in. Shawna came out after finishing with another client and let me pick out my jewelry. She cleaned up and then started the process. She was very precise about the placement making sure it matched my left nose piercing. The process was quick and she was as gentle as she could be. Shawna was a complete professional and very sweet. It was quick (30 minutes for 2 piercings) and less painful than I had expected. I would highly recommend this shop and especially Shawna!

Moniques was professional and helpful in assisting me in legal documents that needed to be filled out. Friendly and exceptionally talented in knowing EXACTLY where to place her piercing. I’m a huge fan of Monique’s. In fact, I’ve been pierced there myself. My daughter is 4 years old and has been wanting her ears pierced for a while. I knew I preferred to have them pierced with a needle in a professional piercing shop, so I immediately thought of Monique’s. I looked at reviews on Google, and just a month ago, another customer posted that she had her 4 year old daughter’s ears pierced at Monique’s and it was a great experience. I also called them last night and spoke to an employee. I asked her if they pierced children, and told her my daughter was 4. She told me yes they did, and I just needed to get a form notarized. So we did that, and came in today only to be told they do NOT pierce kids under 6 (except they will pieces infants up to 6mo). My daughter was so disappointed, and we wasted a trip. Monique’s should come up with a consistent policy regarding piercing children’s ears and make it available online as well as known to all employees.

Me and my family came from out of town and was looking for the best piercing location by the Marina. This drive was about a 30 minute drive to get there. We were greeted by Billy who eventually pierced my girlfriends nose / septum and my little brothers ears. He also helped me get new jewelry in for both me and girlfriend. The entire time he was very nice and super informative to properly maintenance when getting new jewelry. If I come back down to Florida I will definitely be making the 30 minute drive to come to Monique’s because it was definitely worth the drive.

I got my industrial and nose piercing done today. I was amazed! The shop is so clean and very welcoming. I am def coming back in the future! The woman that pierced me was so nice, I sadly forgot to ask her for her name but gave her a generous tip because she walked me though the entire process!!!!!! 10/10 dont go anywhere but here!!!!

My girlfriend and I got tattoos here while we were on vacation here in Florida. She set an appointment for herself and they let me in after as a walk in which was nice. Kevin was our artist and he was AMAZING. Fun to talk to, and very professional. We had a lot of fun sitting and chilling with him while he did his thing. He always made sure we were cool with everything before he started and he kept checking in on me to make sure I was doing ok. Shayna is an incredible piercer! I just got my septum pierced at Moniques, and my whole experience was amazing. The building was clean and the staff were all very professional and nice. The room was private and comfortable, and Shayna explained everything she was doing as she was doing it. She was kind and comforting, even though I was nervous going into it. I walked out with a perfectly placed septum ring that Im so happy with. I would absolutely recommend Moniques, and especially Shayna, to anyone looking to get pierced in the Clearwater area.

Originally i thought this place was great, but now i can’t believe i even went back there. Looking at my belly button piercing , the piercing is uneven and ends up leaning to the side and hurting, it was also pierced to thin and is about to rip out. So now i have to take out my 90 DOLLAR piercing. im so upset! please save ur money and go to a real place.

I had stopped by to get my septum pierced (piercings are non-appointment, first come first serve I was told.) a few days before Christmas. I was greeted kindly and asked what I was there to get done. I was handed some paperwork to complete then taken to a back room to get my piercing done. Unfortunately I do not recall his name but my piercer was great! Very quick and professional. Maybe a 2 out of 10 regarding pain. I was in and out of the shop in 10-15 minutes! I wanted to wait for the review until I gave the piercing time to heal.. approx 7 days later it felt almost completely healed with almost zero discomfort. I continued my saline soaks as I was told. Now, it’s been about 6 weeks since I had it pierced.. I personally feel like it’s completely healed. I have absolutely zero pain and I’ve been able to painlessly change jewelry for the last two weeks or so.I just wanted to give a thorough write up of my experience in case anyone else was on the line of whether they wanted to get it done or not. I absolutely would recommend Monique’s to anyone!

I was just here to get a helix piercing, and its definitely the best place Ive ever been. The lady with the blonde dreads was my piercer, and she was super helpful and answered all of my moms questions. They were so knowledgeable and friendly! Ill definitely be back.

Would 1000% recommend! I’ve been going here ever since I got my first tattoo and Kevin is an AMAZING artist! He has done all my tattoos and is very patient and makes sure you’re doing okay throughout the tattoo. He did some flowers on my thigh for my very first tattoo and when we sat down he explained the process and told me what I should kinda expect. And after he was done he went over the after care in depth! I also sent him in a few pictures for my latest one telling him what I wanted and he created a beautiful combination of them! I have small arms so where he put it would of looked weird on the inside of my arms so he he took out his little marker and drew on my arm to fill in the space. Amazing artist with an amazing talent and pays super close attention to details! Unfortunately I travel now for work so I can’t go as often as I’d like but I’ll always ALWAYS make a special trip to Clearwater to see Kevin for my tattoos! I refuse to go anywhere else! Also, the guy who does the piercings (forgot his name) is also amazing! I got my belly button done and I was nervous as a dog! But he was quick and it was painless! Overall, Monique’s is an amazing place to go to if you’re looking for your first tattoo or want more. When you walk in it’s a nice welcoming feeling. Everyone there is super nice and makes the experience 1000x better!

Billy is awesome! He makes you feel comfortable and makes sure you know exactly how to take care of piercings. He has done 3 piercings for me and a dermal. He takes his time to do it right. I dont like pain but he was so great 3 years ago when I got my nose done I went back for the others. I wouldnt trust anyone else unless they were Billys apprentice and he no longer worked. When my 7yr old is ready he will be piercing her ears. Ive seen him do infants too and its much better experience then the mall. He also makes jewelry, he turned my wedding diamonds into great pieces for me. I went to him in 2013 based off of these reviews and it was the best choice!

I needed help getting infinity loop earrings installed in my pre-existing ear piercings and was having trouble finding a local shop that could do it.. my first and closest choice had never seen this type of earring and didnt know how to and my next 2 choices wouldnt pick up their phones.When I talked to Moniques, they said Sure! We can do that! Come on in!They quickly fit me in, safely and efficiently installed the earrings I had purchased online, and even ran a quick taper through to ensure I was still gauged properly.. and then basically said I can pay whatever I feel like!Friendly and helpful staff, fun and welcoming shop atmosphere, definitely recommend, I look forward to having another body art need that I can get fulfilled there!

I had my nose pierced a few years ago and, after 2 years, it never healed! I was living in Boise ID at the time and got it done at the top recommended piercing studio in the area. I had asked for a hoop but was told it wasn’t something they did for the first piercing and they gave me a stud. The stud style pieces caused me so many issues and never did heal. I ended up removing it and letting the hole close. I really missed it though, so I checked different social media groups and found that Monique’s was by far the top recommended joint for piercings in the Clearwater area. Went in today and met Billy. Told him about my piercing woes and he said he could make the hoop happen. Not only did he do just that, but I felt absolutely nothing. Even less than the first time I had my nose pierced - I felt a pinch then but not a thing this time. He knew exactly what he was doing and it showed! He was friendly and funny and personable and easy going and def the piercer I’ll be going back to and recommending now. Thanks, Billy!

Their attention to detail is unmatched! I had a nostril piercing & already had one on the opposite side. They made sure 1234567 times that it was symmetrical with the other nostril piercing. Absolutely reccomend MONIQUES BODY ART!

I was nervous about getting tattooed, but everyone here was very nice and very friendly. They put me at ease and I never felt rushed or pressured. My artist listened to what I wanted, looked at some of the different ideas I printed out & brought in, and drew a tattoo up for me by hand, which was really REALLY cool and I know what I got is unique. He worked with me until I was 100% confident in what would be my new tattoo. My artist also checked with me as he did the work to make sure I was comfortable and to see if I needed any breaks. I love my tattoo & Im so glad I went to moniques.

I have been searching for a professional and experienced piercer to do my PA for a long time. I contacted Billy @ Monique’s and was blown away at not only his knowledge, but his professionalism. I think it was Billy who serviced me... hes a really cool guy who is really down to earth with stretched earlobes, although he said he doesnt use plugs anymore, and hes been doing this for over 20 years. Simply put, hes AWESOME at piercings. Such wonderful hands. I wish I made more at my job to tip him better. He really deserves it!! Billy is amazing! I moved to Clearwater a few months ago and found this shop! Billy has pierced my helix, third lobe and nose! All piercings were pain free and have healed perfect! I’ve had bad experiences with other piercers and I can say by far Billy is the best! I trust him with any piercing!

Got my nose pierced today and they did a great job. The girl at the front desk was really thorough and explained care to me and the guy who pierced me was nice and funny. He did the piercing really quickly and it was a smooth and clean process. I was really nervous but I’m glad I did it!

Shayna did my 6 year old daughter’s first ear piercing and absolutely nailed it! She spent time to make her comfortable and then made the extra effort to make everything as painless and perfect as possible. First thing we noticed when we walked in was wow this place is so clean! Billy did our 5 month old daughters ear piercings. Our baby was smiling and playing with Billy from the beginning. We loved that he took the time to explain everything to us and how to care for it after. Also when we went to the piercing room the earrings were soaking in alcohol and he had two brand new sealed piercing needles ready to go. Billy was so great and it was so quick she only cried a couple seconds and her ears never even got red or anything. Couldn’t have asked for a better result! Anyone looking for a professional that uses the proper needle and not the “gun” please go see Billy. You will not regret it!

Went there late in evening there 6 girls and me this shop does excellent work and very nice people and professional work at resonable price the staff accommodated all 7 of us and made sure to get us finished at closing time , i highly recommend this business if want a nice tattoo .

I have 6 piercings and 6 tattoos but still seem to feel out of place in a tattoo shop! BUT NOT HERE!During the virus I searched and researched every piercing shop around so when everything opened back up I’d be ready! After checking the news for 2 weeks straight I finally got the answer and immediately made an appointment on Tuesday May 19th. The man was so kind over the phone and I knew from that moment that it was going to be a good experience.I arrive at the shop and am greeted with a bright smile from an artist ready to work! I explained that I was nervous and he listened to all of my questions and then explained the process to me and was VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE! As soon as I sat down the ring was in my septum! Super quick and he definitely hit the sweet spot!If you’re looking for a great place to get pierced this is definitely the shop you need to check out! Trust me!ALSO, very clean shop!!! Absolutely great service. Website is so thorough. Literally dozens of different jewelry options for every piercing. Billy has been working for over twenty years and you can tell. My piercings barely even stung.

I am SO impressed by Moniques! Came in today to get my labret done; the store was clean, well staffed and quite a few clients already, and the guy at the counter was quick and very polite. Ive gone to this place for all of my tattoos. Kevin is very personable, funny as absolute hell, and an amazing artist. Hes also very patient and understanding! You tell him your ideas and he puts them right onto paper. I have very bad anxiety and Im very relaxed getting work done here as well as piercings. Im proud to wear the artwork I have. :)

Me and my friend were visiting clearwater beach and decided to get a piercing together, instead of driving back home we searched places in Clearwater and I’m so glad we did! The staff was so amazing and friendly and took their time to listen what we wanted and explain everything to us! I’ve gotten plenty of piercings before and they are always so rough and don’t have much time but at Moniques they are eye helpful and so kind. The piercings didn’t even hurt they were so gentle! So glad we went to this shop it was amazing!

Awesome piercing experience! Most gentle piercer Ive ever been to, I got an industrial and a daith, and they barely hurt. My stepdaughter is 10 and they pierced her ear lobes as well, and it was quick and easy, they made her feel very comfortable!

Tattoo artist was fantastic, he took his time to do my tattoo right. He listened to what i wanted and was very friendly. Conversation was just flowing which made the experience of getting inked more enjoyable. I got my nose pierced last week and have nothing but positive things to say about the experience. The young man that did the piercing was quick, efficient, and really nice. He was able to put me at ease and calm my nerves. The piercing itself didnt hurt at all.

Prior to going to Moniques, I had only had my ear lobes pierced when I was much younger. I had decided that I wanted to get my nose and the cartilage of my ear pierced. Considering I hadnt pierced anything in over 15 years, I was nervous, and wanted only the best. After reading the stellar reviews online and having these accolades confirmed by personal references, I decided to take the plunge. Billy was amazing. He was very professional and will make you feel VERY at ease, even if youre the slightest bit nervous or concerned. He took his time and was very thorough on explaining the process and the after care points. Regardless if youre going in for your first piercing for your 15th, go see Billy. I went with my daughter and her friend and both got beautiful professional piercing. Billy is very friendly, careful and the hygiene is perfect. Very clean place and we even got all the instructions for after the piercing is done. I highly recommend it.

A few months ago I went to Moniques because I wanted two piercings somewhere that I didnt want to risk botching. I was really nervous because one of the piercing was a Christina (an uncommon surface piercing with a really high rejection rate) so I did my homework and shopped around. Even though it was not the best price I found I am so so so so so happy I went to Billy. Before he pierced me I expressed my concerns about rejection and he promised me that if he did it, it was unlikely to reject. He even offered to re-pierce it for free if it did. He was professional, really nice and funny, and months later my high risk surface piercing is almost completely healed and hasnt showed any sign of rejection at all. If you are nervous, go to Billy. If you want an unusual piercing, go to Billy. If you want to have a nice, healthy, long lasting piercing done correctly, go to Billy. If you are stupid, go anywhere else.

I got my nose pierced here a few weeks ago and I had a great experience. I was a little nervous but the piercer was so nice and explained the process. It is healing wonderfully and my only regret is that I didnt do it sooner!

After a horrible experience at another shop, I came in to have my nose pierced. Billy was extremely accommodating, coming in on his day off, AND giving me a deal. I was super nervous, but his friendly demeanor quickly turned that around. He was very informative about the process and the aftercare, and pierced me very quick with minimal pain. I got my cartilage pierced here in March. I initially wanted three flats in one ear but I only was able to get to two because I fainted and passed out. As time progressed, the piercing healed incorrectly and crooked. I went to a studio right after the initial piercing and I was even told it was pierced incorrectly.the first photo is when i got it. the other photos are of the day i finally took them out.

A huge thank you to the staff tonight. They were crazy busy and still took the time to take care of my daughter. I got my first piercing here in 08 and now my infant daughters ears pierced here almost ten years later! The owner is so down to earth and friendly. He was very good with my daughter and did a beautiful job. Also, he makes his own jewelery which my daughter received so many compliments for! Love this place.(January 2017)

I go to Monique’s Because of Colleen Hicks. She is an amazing artist and she has done all my piercings. Due to her professionalism and talent, I feel completely comfortable and relaxed while she is doing my piercings. She is on point with her craft, she is extremely clean and it’s a beautiful environment. As soon as I am in her chair I forget everything. Colleen has done group conch piercings and has made suggestions for placement with other piercings. She truly is a “Star” and she is modest and doesn’t even know it!!!!

If you want a great tattoo by a professional that will make you feel welcomed, and comfortable. Ari is the man to go to. Crazy story with this one. My father passed in January earlier this year. And to remember him I decided to get the tattoos he had and more. Knowing he wanted to finish his own sleeve. I was looking for an artist to do just that, I contacted Moniques and got in touch with Ari. Meeting and getting to discuss what i want done. The biggest surprise of all happened. Not even knowing at the moment, I was talking to the individual that did my fathers tattoos. The last message to him from my father was about me wanting to get some work done. Fate/Destiny whatever you call it, it happened. Ive had four pieces done so far on my sleeve and i am amazed. I love the work, Ari is amazing and makes sure you are comfortable and ready to go before just diving in. I

Billy is the best! I have an extremely low pain tolerance and was extremely nervous to get my 3rd and cartilage pierced... but it was so quick in easy! The actual piercing didn’t really hurt, I will definitely be coming back in the future!

I have gone to Monique’s several times. Billy pierced my nose and Kevin gave me a tattoo. Thom and Ari work here as well and have both tattoo’d me in the past (when they worked elsewhere). I cannot say enough good things about the shop and the people who work here. I’ve never been disappointed.

This is my second time here, the 1st time I got a nose piercing and tattoo and had such a great experience I came back!! Thom did my tattoo last time and this time. He noticed my 1st tattoo could use a touch up and did it with no hesitation!! Im a totally baby when it comes to pain and he was nothing but understanding!! Before I left he went over how to care for my tattoos and gave me the vitamin ointment packet as well, along with a card with instructions. The place is clean, the atmosphere is friendly, the price is great, and my tattoos look amazing!! Would highly recommend!!

Excellent staff in a clean modern and spacious shop. I just got tattooed by Kevin, he is exceptionally talented with his attention to detail and artistic style. I couldnt be more impressed with the quality and craftsmanship of my newest Japanese style tattoo. Clean sharp lines, awesome colors and beautiful quality work. He made me feel very comfortable and was informative about everything down to the tools he would use, and proper after care. What more are you looking for? Oh yea his room is bad ass! From the minute I walked in the door picture in hand Moniques was the place for me. They were awesome. I brought a picture of Harley Quinn with me and Jeremy said he could do it. Made my appointment. I have never seen a more detailed tattoo right down to the shadowing. I have gotten more compliments on how bad ass this tattoo is and I couldnt be happier.
