Gary was awesome and gave me just what I wanted while going it a way to make it the best tattoo possible highest recommendation for Gary for tattoos. My daughter also got an industrial piercing her that she loves and the girl that did it was very nice Super clean well run shop!

Michael Heston is AMAZING. Not only the quality and the art but he just makes the whole process so calm and welcoming. He’s very good at reading your body language and understanding if you need to be quiet or be chatty or both, if you need a break, and just generally checking in. He’s also very patient if you’re super picky about fine details, exact placement, and even helps you make decisions based on what will work best over time or where it’s located. So many other places make the experience so weird, but not here!

Going to Empire Tattoo in Clementon was a wonderful experience. From the time I step inside they provided stellar customer service, making me feel welcomed in an amazing and clean environment. Matt Doherty worked on my new tattoo and he took his time to make sure the tattoo was just what I wanted. Matt went above and beyond and surpassed my expectations. I absolutely love the work he did on my tattoo. His ability to create amazing art through tattooing is second to none. I would highly recommend Matt if youre looking for an amazing tattoo every time!

Today I was completely blown away. After looking for a shop that would do walk-ins my husband and myself found ourselves at Empire. The ladies at the front got us in and found us an amazing artist quickly.My husband and I had ideas on what we wanted but Michael Heston completely blow our minds with his twist on the artwork. Both of us left extremely happy and pleased with our experience. We will definitely be back to see Michael real soon!

My friend and I decided to get our noses pierced and we went to Empire by recommendation from a friend. The place was very clean and well kept and the employees were all very nice. Lex did our piercings and she was beyond amazing. She helped keep my nerves down as I was very nervous and was very quick with the piercing process. She even changed the diamond to a smaller one when I realized I wasnt a fan of the medium sized diamond. I would recommend Empire to anyone looking to get a piercing! Thank you Lex and Gary!

Got my first tattoo here back in 2015 by guy named Big Rube, I only gave him an idea on what I wanted and he drew it up exactly how I imagined it in my head perfect tattoo still looks fresh to this day. Definitely recommend Big Rube if hes still at this shop.

Very nice establishment. I felt welcomed when I came in. The tattoo artists have their own individual rooms. All health and safety standards are being met. The artists really work with you to find the design that meets your needs.

Gary at the Clementon shop is awesome. He did my cover up. I showed him what I was interested in getting and we looked through a few more things and he drew it up and we made it my own. I explained what I wanted colored and what I wanted just black and gray. We took both our ideas and it came out awesome. So happy!!!

Matt Doherty did my Majin Vegeta tattoo the other day. Its my second tattoo by Matt. If youre looking for an artist that is going to exceed your expectations every time, you want Matt. Personally I have mild ocd and was worried if I got a tattoo that wasnt great, Id be wanting to tear it off. With Matts work, youll never have to worry. Matt will take the time to do it right and do it well. Also hes a super cool guy. Very friendly and professional. 7 hours flew by. Already working on my next piece that Ill happily schedule an appointment and wait my turn.Thanks again Matt. In my opinion youre top of the class.

I had an great experience here! i was tattooed by candence, who was still in her apprenticeship at the time, but you would never know it by the quality of her work! candence was extremely professional and very meticulous setting up her station. the process was great - she stopped whenever i needed a break, but overall it didnt take nearly as long as i expected. also, the shop has a very cool vibe and the other employees are really nice, too. i would love to get tattooed by candence again!

My sister found this tattoo shop using Google. It was close to home and they accept walk-ins. We’ve been wanting to get a Bee tattoo in memory of our brother who died 3 years ago today (10/7/19). His nickname was Bee. Our tattoo artist was Candace and she was amazing. She understood immediately what we wanted and the end result is amazing. We will definitely go back when we’re ready for another tattoo.

Terrible ignorant rude individuals. Got a piercing and the stone fell out the same night . Went back the next morning they told it was my fault and there is nothing they could do . Do you know how much these earrings are especially when they buy them by the bulk ? Look for yourself online and you will see . Rude place , terrible customer service . They act like they are performing surgery in there come on it’s a scummy tattoo and piercing shop .

Amazing experience overall. I just finished up getting my second set of tattoos there, both walk-ins and Ive had amazing experiences so far. Today I was with Chris who was amazing, listened to me, and gave really awesome, honest feedback of what would look/heal/age best. Ive also worked with Candence back when she was in her apprenticeship, amazing then and even better now. Overall everyone on the staff is incredible from the girls at the front to the other artists that peek their heads in to check out the new work. The place is incredibly clean as well. Would recommend everyone try out this shop at least once.

Candence did my girlfriend’s tattoo that I got her as a birthday present today, and she did an amazing job!! She did a great job making the sketches similar to the reference photos but also putting her own, unique spin on the designs. So pleased with how they turned out & can’t wait to see the all of the finished pieces together!

I have been to Gigi M. for 4 tattoos so far. I love her fine line work and attention to detail! I even entrusted her for both my daughters first tattoos on their 18th birthday. They have also been back to her a few times. She’s amazing and I can’t wait for the next one!

My daughter ,my sister friend and myself went to empire this weekend to get nose piercings. We were very nervous, but that all ended when we got to meet Jess. She is just so good at what she does. Ive gotten two tattoos from Candence, one of them being my first and Im very happy with out they turned out. She took her time with the stencils and made sure to get every detail even if it took longer. I am definitely going to be getting more tattoos from her!

Had my nose piercing done here by Taylor about a year back, I was so scared because it was my first piercing ever and she was so lovely and was able to calm me down. Everything was so clean and everybody was very professional, I still go in to get my hoops changed/purchase new jewelry and every time the staff is always so welcoming and friendly. Me and my best friend had Gianna do a piercing change on us and got to look at some of her work with tattoos, needless to say we were both very impressed and she just had her second piece done by her which came out absolutely stunning

I went to get my septum re-pierced and aside from the wait time which is kind of usual I loved my experience. Jess was amazing and she was so gentle! I’ve had piercers at other shops who were rough and kind of careless and that actually stopped me from going to get another piercing sooner than I did. Jess checked my septum hole to make sure that it wasn’t closed first before charging me for a full piercing! She was so calm and easy and I appreciate her for that! Now that I know she works there I’ll never have another piercer!!! She gaine another life time customer !

I had an excellent tattoo experience with Candence, an apprentice at Empire in August 2023. My friend referred me to her because of her beautiful floral designs. Candence’s attention to detail made me feel so comfortable with trusting her to tattoo me, and her artwork is just stunning. Her calm and patient demeanor also made me feel as relaxed as you can possibly feel while getting a needle poked into you a thousand times. If you are looking for a beautifully detailed and designed tattoo, florals or animals especially, you should definitely check out her portfolio. I love my tattoo and immediately scheduled with her for another, larger piece. I feel very lucky to be working with this talent so early in her career!

I had my first tattoo done here as a walk in by Ray and he did gorgeous work on my arm. However, in every subsequent attempt in trying to book with the other artists, it’s been a miserable experience. First, I scheduled an appointment with Gigi Milt, who agreed to draw sketches beforehand based off reference pictures I provided, for a deposit, which I sent. The night before my appointment I messaged her, having seen nothing yet, and she told me she “doesn’t work on weekends” so drew me up a quick sketch of a fine line cherry blossom when the references I sent were for a realistic orange blossom. When I pointed out the obvious stylistic differences, she argued with me and ultimately told me the night before my appointment that she was not the artist for me based on the style I wanted, something that should have been established from our first interaction weeks prior. Then, today, I had a consultation with Candence for the same piece. I scheduled a week in advance. An hour before the consultation I received a voicemail saying that Candence couldn’t see me until three hours after the scheduled time — my guess is she took a walk in, disregarding her previous commitment to me. I was told by a rather uncaring and frankly irritating receptionist that I could see Candence in a week since I didn’t want to wait three hours today. I work full time, six days a week. I lost money not working this afternoon for my appointment. Disappointed is not a strong enough word: disgusted is more fitting.

I came in as a walk in for my first tattoo and was referred to Jim. He took his time and his work was very neat. He made sure I was comfortable and I absolutely love it! Definitely will be coming back.!

I seen Jess and she was amazing. I had two ppl ahead of me and I watched as in between each person she wiped down everything. When it was my turn she made sure that I had something to eat and I informed her I ate but not before I came. I was provided with Gatorade and crackers which I thought was very nice. She was very professional the entire time. Made sure I was comfortable and since I got two areas pierced she changed gloves and set up between each piercing and made sure to open up all supplies in from of me! I highly recommend!

Jess has preformed 5 of my piercings including my nose and rook. She is absolutely amazing and very knowledgeable. She is gentle and kind and I am absolutely grateful to finally find such a great piercer and look forward to many others I get from her!

They guided me through the steps on what to do before I get my ears pierced (filling out a form with proof of ID and picking out which earring you want to put on). My practitioner’s name was Jess. Super friendly as well! Jess gave all of the information i needed to know and was open to any questions I asked (since it was my first time). Leading up to the piercing process, she told me what she’s going to do and was very communicative about it.The whole process went by smoothly, she kept checking up on me to make sure I feel okay. After everything is done, she recommended me some after care products to keep my ears clean and have my healing process go smoothly.I definitely recommend this place to everyone! I had a great experience with Jess as my practitioner!

Go There Instead**Got my first tattoo 7 years ago when the Pitman location was open, loved the staff, loved the environment, and when I found out Jeff Bermingham moved to the Clementon location I followed him there, ive gotten 3 more tattoos from him since and started my sleeve in the past few months. Jeff has since moved to 12oz tattoo in deptford and I will follow him there as well. He is easily the most underrated artist in the area and I will continue to get tattoos by him no matter which shop he ends up at.

Candence is amazing! This was my first tattoo and I was very nervous. She presented different sizes to see what I would like. She talked me through it and told me I could take a break if needed. My daughter and I both got a fine line rose tattoo. It looks amazing.

I went to see Candence because I love her work on Instagram. She asked questions so we could work together on my hand drawn mandala. No copy and paste. Candence was fantastic! I got a full color tattoo on my thigh and she did a wonderful job, she even put up with my whining and crying in pain because I’m a big baby. But she was so sweet and patient! This is my first time getting tattooed. I went to Matt because he has done 4 previous works of art for my husband over the last 11 years. My husband’s tattoos are pretty intricate and detailed. Heard about this place from a friend. They told me about two different shops, but on a whim I decided to stop into Empire. I haven’t been to get new metal or ink in a few years. I was looking to get both sides of my nose pierced, and I’m definitely glad I picked this shop. The strip shopping center it’s in is your standard strip mall, but looks can be deceiving. The shop is immaculate inside. Way bigger than I thought it would be. Front desk right at the door with an employee who’s there to help. Check in process was super easy and quick. Taylor was my artist, and she was a dream. Super nice, cracking jokes, but still professional. She saw I had a good bit of work done, so she was able to skip over all the little details, but still made sure to be clear about aftercare and hygiene, which I liked. You’re never too cool to be reminded of how to take proper care of your metal. I was in and out within 30 minutes, which was also awesome! I typically make impulsive decisions, so I’m glad the shop was able to match my energy 🤣 long story short, 10/10 would definitely recommend. If you want some new jewelry, ask for Taylor…you’ll be glad you did.

I went here today to get my septum pierced and I’m beyond happy with this shop!! My piercers name was Taylor and before piercing me, she explained the procedure to me and made me feel comfortable. The process was quick and easy and correctly done. She was so sweet and gave me a lollipop and gatorade and cleaned me up well and even gave me the cleaning solution for my piercing. I’ve been to this shop a number of times. They have always been super amazing. When I got my lip pierced the piercer was super kind and made sure I was comfortable. When I got my first conch piercing I explained to my piercer that I’m terrified of needles. He made jokes to calm me down and it all happened with ease, he also gave me something to drink. When my ear swelled up they fixed me up no problem and made sure I had minimal problems going forward. The last time I got a piercing from there it went perfectly. The woman laughed and joked with me, listened to me while I again explained I have a fear of needles, and she let me just relax for a moment while I calmed down. Every time I’ve been here I’ve been treated with so much respect and kindness. I cannot wait to go back for my next piercing!

I called to schedule a piercing appointment the lady laughed at me and said that they don’t do that to just come in. I said OK I will be there in 10 minutes. I walk in, none of the piercings are available or sanitized. None of the equipment is available or sanitized. This is probably a good reason why people do appointments 🙄🙄 The two girls were pretty rude and I thoroughly enjoyed the unprofessional behavior from them. If you are going to have a walk-in only situation maybe have your piercers more prepared.

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Doug Sparks was my artist and he did an awesome job. He by far exceeded my expectations. Also just a very nice guy. Had a TV set up that helped pass the time. If I have more tattoo ideas I will be going back to Doug for sure.

Me and 3 friends did a walk in visit, all of us wanting different piercings ( ears, eyebrows, and a lip one )and had Taylor as our piecer and she was AMAZING. Very friendly && well informed on all of the piercings she did for us. At one point, when it was my turn and after she did the first ear, I started feeling dizzy ( probably from the heat outside and I was a little dehydrated ) and when I told her she got me a cup of gatorade and put a cold towel on my neck and gave me some saltine crackers and felt a lot better after that. I felt like she genuinely cared and I do plan on going back. I had a great experience and will easily recommend Taylor to anyone getting a piercing!! :D
