Horrible experiences here each time. the male piercers are weird and don’t tell you the procedure. i went back to get my piercing sized up as the jewelry he put in was too small and it was the genuinely the most painful experience i’ve ever had. very aggressive and careless to their clients. if you have self respect go somewhere else

Got my second lobe piercing here and I love it! Super fast, less than 30 minutes and didn’t hurt too much! The price was extremely reasonable ($45 for both ears as of 5/24) and earrings were included. I was a little sad there wasn’t any gold options but overall a great experience. Thank you George!

I go here for all of my tattoo and piercings and have loved all of them. Jess does an amazing job everytime. I was walked through my first cartilage piercing and told exactly what I needed to do to insure it healed properly. I got both sides on my nose done and they are perfectly even on both sides. They did mark the spot and ask if I was happy with the placement. Line work has always been beautiful with no blowouts.

I was ensured that titanium jewelry was the only jewelry they use because it’s the only metal the state allows. I am allergic to everything except titanium so I went ahead with getting my piercing. Placement was never discussed or marked prior and my concerns were not listened to before hand. My piercer aggressively shoved a 16g needle through my ear without even notifying me that he was doing so. I understand that each person does things differently but in those cases I would assume you would tell your client what you’re going to do before you do it. It has been almost a week since getting this piercing and it is being rejected it is so incredibly painful and swollen. I clean it 3x a day and follow all protocols even though none were given during my time at Ink Spot Tattoo. Thankfully this isn’t my first cartridge piercing and I knew how to care for it. Unfortunately I had to make another appointment with a piercer who’s pierced me before and is educated. He confirmed that in fact the jewelry was not titanium and that my piercing was done incorrectly. On the bright side it should heal properly now that I got that cheap garbage removed and replaced with actual titanium.

I go here for all my piercings, been coming here for a couple years now. George is amazing and professional and funny as hell lol. He is definitely my favorite piercer

Do NOT get a piercing from here. I came here for the first time to get my 3rd lobes and it was a very awkward experience getting it done. the guy kept making weird comments and just the way i was sitting and how he was sitting seemed unprofessional already. The jewlery is not good. Came from this box along with other cheap fake jewlery. Marked my ear and when I said i wanted it moved down a little he insisted that it looked fine even though i said no. He still did it anyways. Didn’t even tell me when he was piercing it. When I looked, I only seen 1 needle. I could be wrong but🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ all just seemed shady and weird to me and now im left with my ears looking like this instead of 2 new piercings. $45 wasted down the drain.

Have tattoos from jessica i got done over 10 years ago and still look like new. Amazing artist was my first go to for year and has done a lot of my tattoos. I would go back in a heart beat.

Just got my snake bites done there and the piercer there, did not pierce my left piercing low enough. i was looking at it when i got home and realized this. i am extremely upset because i told him to pierce it lower since according to him my lip is “higher on the bottom left” so i don’t know why he didn’t pierce it lower so it aligned with the right one. i took the left one out because i am just so distraught by this situation after explaining to him that i had a bad piercing experience already.$92 down the drain because he couldn’t pierce it lower and basically blamed my lips when he could’ve easily fixed the problem by either piercing the right side higher or left side lower.

I absolutely adore the Gemini symbol tattoo I got for my birthday. Im already planning my next tattoo because I love this place and I will definitely come back for more.

Jessica went above and beyond for my friends and i when we were visiting Detroit for Halloween in 2022. the shop was clean. the utensils were new and opened in front of us. the tattoos are crisp, clean and i would absolutely go back to the Ink Spot.

Ive gotten multiple piercings done by George and he is just the greatest. Always quick and as painless as possible and every piercing done by him has healed very well. This is the only place I recommend to others when theyre looking to get piercings. I will be back soon for another!

Don’t get a lip piercing from here! the bar they gave me was wayy too short and it had to be taken out literally the next day. i went to a different place because something felt off and they told me if i had waited another night it would’ve been completely embedded in my lip. they showed me the difference between the bars they use and the bars ink spot uses and ink spot’s was much shorter.

I have always and will always get my tattoos from here ... There very nice people and they care... They make you feel like family....

Receptionist was nice , was able to walk in. Came in for nose stud piercing and to get my thirds done on lobes a few weeks ago. Everything was sanitary and piercings were done correctly but kind of awkward experience getting pierced .Everything is healing nicely but as I changed my lobe piercing, the jewelry has already been tarnished and changed colors. With new ear piercings, I have never experienced tarnishing jewelry.. Not sure how this jewelry could be a stainless steel or hypoallergenic with tarnishing so badly. Replaced with pandora studs.

Got a tattoo by John and Im loving it. He was patient and told me if I needed a break to let him know. I would recommend him to anyone.

I went in on a walk in, I am not sure if thats why it was subpar. I got a tattoo with my friend today, his looked great, he saw they guy artist (I didnt catch his name but he was amazing and kind) I was tattooed by Pandora, and it wasnt great. The color is spotty, they offer free touch ups but I wont be coming back.All of the other tattoos Ive gotten from another shop had solid color especially right after it was finished and fresh. I got an all black tattoo, the lines arent solid and theres an obvious difference between the blacked out areas and the lines. Its as if she gave up halfway through filling the color in.The customer service was amazing, very friendly staff and I felt very comfortable there, but the quality of this one artists work didnt impress me at all.

I came here for my first tattoo over the summer I wanna say in June so I’ve had the tattoo for a short while, and it looks like I’ve had it for years, I didn’t realize how much was wrong with it because everyone I talked to outside of my artist or what, not said it looked fine until you get a closer look. The circles are far from perfect,I mean literally it’s all circles if I knew it was going to turn out like this I would’ve waited longer to get my first tattoo hence waiting until I was 20 just to be dissatisfied and disappointed it could be fixable but every day when I look at it I just wish I could laser it off I believe my artists name was Tomas I was the last tattoo of the day that might also be a reason why it turned out the way It did and I believe for my first tattoo I did good, sit still, move when he told me to but it still came out looking like I tattooed it

I went here because I saw someone with a very nice tattoo and asked them where they got it from. I talked to the artist and wanted to get my old tattoo redone and also make it bigger while covering up the existing image. The result was very professional and detailed.

They got me in and out in less than 20 minutes. They helped me decide helix vs front helix. The piercer eyeballed it perfectly and it was a painless quick piercing. He even went above and beyond to find me a rose gold hoop.He pierced my beothera eyebrow equally quick and painlessly.Great service!

George is AMAZING. He was super knowledgeable and helpful. He took the time to explain what was wrong with my piercing and was quick to help. I was only in the building for a few minutes and I left so happy! My earring is SO much better now and I will definitely be back to get another piercing. The piercers name is George, and he did an awesome job on the placement of my forward helix AND my belly button piercing. George is absolutely a skilled piercer using all the proper techniques and sanitation.

Amazing service at amazong prices! It was ~$50 to get both of my 2nd lobes peirced and the jewlery is cute (jewlery in pic is the jewlery they provided). The whole process was cleanly and fast, i was surprised. My lobes healed after about 6-7 weeks, just a standard healing time. Please note that if you are a minor you will need to bring some form of picture id (school id, state id if youre older), and your birth certificate. Thats pretty standard for all places though. They accept walk-ins too, a nice bonus! (I was a walk-in)

Ive been to Ink Spot for every one of my piercings, including when they were still on Harper Ave. Theyve done my ears, my nose, and a helix piercing. I FRIGGEN LOVE THESE GUYS, and wouldnt want to go anywhere else to be pierced. The guy I had do my piercing every time has been professional, makes me laugh, and puts me at ease before the actual piercing. Everything is super clean and hygienic. GO HERE FOR YOUR PIERCINGS!!!

All men employees were creppy, and very unprofessional, i did not get told anything on how to care for my piercing, jess got my piercing done fast and easy, i watched my friend get a piercing done and the man who was doing her piercing went intentionally slow and even dropped the jewelry and still used it

The guy who pierced my forward helix was very unprofessional and making inappropriate comments that made my friend and I uncomfortable the whole time we were there. We asked for studs for our piercing but he denied our requests and made us get pierced with hoops. While we were having a conversation with him he gave me no warning and pierced my ear. I have been to multiple other piercing places and every piercer tells you when they are going to pierce you. Today I went to a different piercer at a different place and she informed me that I was pierced wrong and my cartilage was not even pierced in my forward helix and it was just the skin that was pierced . She told me that I will not be able to keep this piercing in forever now because it will eventually need to be taken out.

Went for Friday 13th piercings, I wish their special would have included more piercing options, but they were the only ones who had any. Other than that they r really wonderful, they were absolutely slammed with I breaks 100% of the day and handled it all famously with smiles 😊😁. I would def recommend

I got my nose pierced here with my best friend about 2 years ago when i was 16 and havent had any problems with it since! Most the staff was nice! Didnt really explain much about after care but it didnt matter much since ive had other piercings. Place was relatively clean! Would recommend!

Called Ink Spot and they returned my call within minutes, giving me all necessary information to prepare for my visit with my daughter (to pierce her ears). They were incredibly nice, patient and so thoughtful! The inside was beautiful and clean. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I got a dermal piercing on my face, I was worried before walking in, however after talking to the staff, I knew I was at the right place. Very laid back and professional. Made me feel comfortable took time to explain what was about to happen. The piercing itself is not the easiest. It requires cutting a hole in my face and then pulling the skin out of the hole and then while blood is pouring out of my face. Insert a piercing smaller then a pea. It was done very quickly and as painless as possible. I would recommend this establishment to anyone.

Got my belly button pierced today. Quick, easy, and not to mention pretty inexpensive!! Dont remember the name of the man who pierced me because Im the worst (I believe it was Dave?) But he was very funny and nice!!

Pierced my 8 year old daughters ears here. They were not very friendly or welcoming. I feel like one ear is pierced higher than the other. After talking to a few people I realized this place was a bit shady not asking for birth certificate for my minor daughter.

Definitely would recommend! Just had a daith piercing in each ear tonight and it was quick and they were professional and friendly.

I came here for a jewelry change on a nostril piercing. The guy shoved a hoop that was thicker than the gauge of my original piercing into the hole, which completely retraumatized the healed piercing, made it bleed, etc. When I expressed concerns about the size of the ring, he said something about small rings being better for smaller girls and bigger rings being for bigger girls (Im 510). Um, how about rings that fit the size of the actual piercing being for everyone. I went to another much more professional piercing shop a couple days later and now I have to wear a stud for 4-6 weeks while it reheals before I can have an appropriately-sized ring put in. Even the other piercer was horrified and said the guy has mutilated my piercing. Completely unprofessional.

Do not come to get pierced here. I went with my 16 y/o sister to get her naval pierced. We were waiting on our mother to get there because she’s a minor. She was not asked to sign any paper work or present any ID. The worker said that it could be done before our mother arrived. The jewelry was stored in a dirty plastic container, overall the shop looked unsanitary. We did not feel safe there alone with the employee.

My tattoo is a 5 star tattoo, Angela did it and shes super amazing at tattooing. However I am giving two stars because her father (I cant remember his name he owned it when it was Excalibur tattoo) was a major creep. He made me feel super uncomfortable and disgusting. I only continued to get my tattoo done their solely because of Angela. I will not step foot back in their, but would follow her if she left and went somewhere else.

First time in a tattoo shop, getting my industrial done. Came in with no appointment and I was taken right away. Everything was clean and neat in the room. I told them that my sugar drops when Im getting pierced so they made sure I was taken care of. Quick piercing, made sure I was out the door okay and knowing how to take care of it.

I had a great experience at the ink spot getting a tattoo from there apprentice Bre . She had perfect lines and was very gentle and had me laughing . She’s truly a perfectionist and I definitely would come back for more work from her.

I just went in to have my daith jewelry changed out. I did not get the gentlemans name that helped me out. But he was kind and gentle about it and he was very quick. I know where I am going in the future.

10/10 i got fast service as soon as i walked in, the price was really good & he did a great job peircing my belly. I was scared at first but he made me more comfortable and it didn’t even hurt.

I came here with my friend back in December 2020 for my conch and daith piercing... father of the shop is very unprofessional and too flirty, waist of money. My ball wasn’t properly placed on the jewelry and I got no answer when I tried to come back up to get it fixed... it is now may 2021. Dont recommend

I read the reviews, and was thinking it cant be that great. YES they are phenomenal. Staff was great. Kept me laughing. I was super nervous, but it was done sooooo smoothly. No PAIN! 10 STARS!!!!!!

I came here to get my tongue pierced. I been here overe 4 times since I had it. When it was first pierced he put a too small bar in my mouth. That was too tight and too small to even fit in my tongue so he basically pinched my tongue together and just put it in. Second time I came back in he puts a super long retarded bar in my mouth it was horrible and not necessary I never saw anyone with a bar like this in their mouth before. 3. I come back and Im consistently asking him for the correct size bar and he fails to give it to me the tips of the bar doesnt even make it half way out my tongue so the balls are pushing down in ny tongue. Its very uncomfortable. So he gets another bar bends it weirdly amd put its in my mouth at this point im over it bc he wont give me the proper bar noone wants to go over his work and I wasted money on my piercing I worked hard for. I will not be coming back here.

Cass is the worst tattoo artist Ive ever seen. She doubled booked me, TWICE. and she did my cover up, you can still see the tattoo through the cover up, she forgot a number on my pocket watch AND my tattoo itches all the time and Ive never had that problem before. But Angela is a good artist

Absolutely NO instruction after a nose piercing of how to care for piercing. Nothing mentioned about how often or what to use and how to do it. As a professional piercer u are obligated to instruct ur client on how to care for their piercing! Very unprofessional.

Terrible tattoos. They cant do straight lines or keep the shading within them. Got screwed tattoos years ago and still cant figure out what to do about them. Only real option is laser. Moron gave me two different options (left and right) on the same sketch. I chose the left and asked for a full sketch. He said no need he would freehand it in. Well he forgot and did the lines like the sketch. Now I have a sun that is completely different from left to right. Tried soaking it in paint thinner and sanding it off with sandpaper the next day. No luck. Now Im stuck with it for ever.

I came here for a few piercings and I’m really bummed about the money I wasted. My industrial won’t stop bleeding. I went to another shop to have it looked and they said if I leave it in I will end up in the hospital with an infection. I also had my tounge done and it was pierced to the side so it doesn’t look right.

The piercing artist was very friendly made me feel so comfortable but it reaked of weed in the shop I was kind of nearvous at first but everything was just fine

Severely overcharged for shoddy work & cut by the razor during the shave ~ angela was more concerned with her dinner & cigarette breaks than straight lines or skill ~ never received any aftercare info or professionalism at all ~ it was like the equivalent to an airbrushing from some carny at a local fair ~ i would not send an enemy here

If i could give zero stars i would i specifically ask them if i would need my birth certificate or if i can bring her state ID they said my state ID was fine we get there and they say i cant get it without my Birth certificate WASTE OF TIME
