This tattoo shop is truly a warm welcome, my friend and I went in as walk ins and were extremely satisfied with the service we received, the environment was extremely pleasant. Our tattoo artist Eric did an amazing job and was extremely patient with us girls. He made us feel very comfortable and was very respectful. Mindy was also fabulous along with her staff. Me and my boyfriend came here for his first tattoo he was super nervous but excited to come in, we walked in and immediately he felt so comfortable and was treated so well by Mindy the owner and Danny the tattoo artist. Danny is the funniest coolest most talented artist. He had everything prepared as soon as we got here and was extra clean with everything. Explained every single thing and loved that he talked to us during the tattoo helped my boyfriend calm down from the nerves. You want a tattoo your first place to go to ever is here. Will be recommending all my friends and family here and definitely will come here for my 3rd tattoo!

I went with my daughter on black Friday to see Tiffany! She gave my daughter snakebites that look soooo awesome, but also gave me a tattoo of my late brothers name. This is her third time piercing my daughter and each time has been a great experience. She’s an amazing person, great peircer and tattoo artist. The shop is clean and people are super nice. I would definitely recommend going there if you’re looking to get peirced or tattooed by a really cool bunch of artists.

Ive gotten four tattoos done here by Carisma. My friend also got two tattoos done by her as well. Not only is she talented, but accommodating by listening closely to her clients wants/needs. She cares for her clients and is passionate about her job. The level of detail in her work is amazing especially the fine line. Everyone at Asylum Tattoo is friendly and welcoming. Strongly recommend this place for tattoos/piercings.

Went in for a tattoo on my leg, the place is very clean, neat and friendlyMindy the owner is great, greets you when you walk in makes you feel comfortable. Mike(Raze) did my tattoo and my ear piercing very talented and friendly. After doing my tattoo my mother saw and since has gotten her back tattoo also done by Mike. While Mike was tattooing me I watched Jay(George) have a walk in tattoo as well he was very friendly and talented as well. This will be the place I go for all my work and will suggest to everyone. They are very fairly priced as well. They all made it a very painless experience.

This place is so cool! Took my wife to get her nose pierced last week. She was so nervous, but the peircer Tiffany made her feel calm and comfortable. Wife was super happy and now Im thinking of going back for a lip piercing. Great shop! Great personalities and awesome customer service! Would recommend

I cant explain how excited I was to get my tattoos it was 9 years in the making Kerwyn Did my Batman and flash symbols one was a cover up he was very professional and the prices were excellent for the service I received. Two days later I wanted to get my captain America with short notice kerwyn had his other artist Karl take care of me I was in the chair in less then an hour love service like that Karl did an amazing job. My Captain America tat has become my favorite tattoo the colors just pop I dont have anybody piercings but bob was an awesome guy very friendly had a nice conversation with him. Definitely going back for more ink very soon i cant stress this enough excellent group of people at asylum I thank my friend for recommending them to me

I was referred to Tiffany from a mom friend and was so pleased with her service. She pierced my 6 month olds ears and did a great job.Her station was very clean and She talked me through everything as she did it. My mother is nearing 80, had never had her ears pierced, and is about to start chemo. She texted me on a Saturday night saying she wanted me to take her to have her ears pierced before I had to head back home to California. “My bald head will look so much better with earrings, don’t you think?”I called Asylum asking if they could accommodate us on Sunday, but they were unable to. Sunday afternoon I received a text from Mindy, the owner. I had told her about my mom’s situation on the phone and she said she couldn’t stop thinking about her. She really wanted to do the piercing and even offered to get her piercer in on Monday, when the shop is closed.Ultimately she squeezed us in on Sunday night without an appointment, despite the fact that they were packed.Mindy and Tiffany, the piercer, really made the experience so much fun and so special - and then insisted on giving us half off.I always love supporting local businesses but it’s even better when you find people like Mindy who go out of their way when they don’t have to.Thanks so much, Asylum. It’s a day with my mom that I’ll never forget.10 stars.

As soon as we walked in we knew we found a tight shop. Tiffany is such a pleasure to work with and our piercings were virtually pain free and fun. Hope to get back soon for more, more, MORE! And the Robert Berdella photo made it feel like home. Overall such a great experience and CLEAN 💀💀

Tiffany drew up and tattooed, 2 tattoos on me. They are both beautiful! What she came up with was better then anything I was thinking I may have wanted. Very clean shop, friendly artists, and all around nice atmosphere. I cant wait to get more done by Tiffany in a few months!!😁

I got my first tattoo done by Carisma, I found her on Instagram in search of someone who did fine line and as soon as I saw her page I was in love with her work. She did an amazing job and was really patient with me. I was nervous and she made sure I was okay through the whole process. I plan on getting my future tattoo ideas done by her!!

I went into the shop with my three friends (we are all young women) to get a septum piercing over a week ago. The experience was upsetting to say the least, one of my friends decided to get a tattoo and when she asked the person tattooing if he could center the stencil, he basically yelled at her, claiming he knew better than her and refused to change it. He was also using racial slurs freely as a white man, and even expressed disappointment that my friends and I were not amused by his vulgarity.Less than two days later, I am in excruciating pain and my nose is swollen. One of my friends with me got her nose pierced, and decided to go to her trusted tattoo shop to check it out as her piercing was also irritated. Her regular piercer told her that the jewelry was very suspicious, and my friend advised me to get my septum checked out too. My piercer told me the same thing, and also told me that the placement was completely off, showing me where my actual septum was vs where I was pierced. She removed the piercing, and afterwards I went to the doctors where I was prescribed antibiotics as my nose was now infected. Tiffany was both of our piercers.I spent 80$ on the piercing, tipped 20$, and just paid more money at the doctors. I called the owner hoping to work something out and we talked for 30 seconds before I was told to “have a nice life” and was hung up on. I sent a follow up email that has not been answered.I wanted to get a fun piercing to celebrate a special occasion and decided to go to this shop because it was the closest one to me with seemingly the best reviews. I wish I had looked a little deeper and saw the handful of google reviews complaining about uncleanliness and how unprofessional the owner responds to these reviews. If you are reading this, I am begging you please do not go to this shop. I spent 100$ to get an infection and a hole in my nose. This place has caused me so much unnecessary emotional, physical, and financial turmoil in less than a week. Play it safe, don’t do what I did, and go somewhere else.

I got a pride tattoo from Carisma and couldn’t be more thrilled with the piece. I got 6 hearts in a row, each a different color. Each heart is symmetrical, in a straight line, and colored thoroughly and evenly. I arrived as a walk in, and am so glad Carisma tattooed me. She was kind, pleasant, professional and cares about the quality of the work. She checked in consistently, was so easy to talk to and made the experience of a new shop so welcoming. Can’t wait for my next piece!!

Came here impulsively to get a piercing! I couldn’t decide if I wanted my bridge or septum pierced. Tiffany was super nice, helped me decide, and she made me feel comfortable during the process. I went with the septum and I couldn’t be happier! I’ll definitely be back

Amazing shop with really great prices and sales! I’ve had two tattoos done by Carisma and she is truly awesome. Both came out perfect, one of which being a very sentimental piece for me that she nailed and was so excited to do 😌 Their piercer also does a great job! I got 3 done at once and I’m very happy with them. My boyfriend also had a tattoo done by Laakin and had a great experience. Everyone in the shop is very friendly and great to chat with!

PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. If I could give 0 stars I would. My sister had a very bad experience with a piercing and shared with me that at least one of the tattoo artists used racial slurs freely while she was there. The manager said to have a nice life and hung up on her when she tried to bring this to their attention. I also called and the manager hung up on me. My sister had to go to urgent care because they completely messed up her piercing and refused to give a refund (even though she tipped EXTREMELY generously!). Additionally, her friend got a tattoo there and was literally yelled at by the artist that he knows better where to place her tattoo while repeatedly saying the N word (he is white). As young women, they felt extremely unsafe. I hope the manager can get her act together so this does not happen to anyone else, especially as a self proclaimed woman-owned business.

Just got my medusa pierced by tiffany and she did an absolutely amazing job! everyone here is super nice, the prices are really good and the shop is very cozy and welcoming. I am 100% sure I’ll be back for another piercing soon :D

I’ve gotten tattooed here at least two times but i’ve never gotten pierced until yesterday. i got my vertical labret pierced and was so scared but the piercer was absolutely amazing! she was so funny, so sweet, and calmed me down. will never go to anyone else only her!!

I have 4 pieces done in this shop and they never disappoint. Carisma is my go to forever my artist but I got a piece by her husband Manny that I absolutely love! Everyone in the shop works as a team which is comforting because theyll get 2nd and 3rd opinions for each step of your art so you know youll get the best outcome in the end. I found Carisma on Instagram and decided to reach out. She responded within a few hours and was very accommodating to everything I wanted to get done. She made the most amazing sketches from my inspo pics and I couldn’t have asked for more detailed and amazing work. She did three pieces for me and touched up an old one that had faded. She made sure to keep checking in and was so sweet. The atmosphere in the shop was great and everyone was able to talk and joke with each other. Definitely an amazing experience and will be back.

First visit...very clean! Awesome staff from Mindy in the front to Bella (my artist). Very clean very professional when it came to business and very welcoming. Great conversations! A bit of a hike from me (live in west nassau county) but worth the drive. Tattoo session 1 went better than expected for me throwing some thoughts down last minute. Very clean lines...so happy. Went here twice with friends so far and the artist Bella is great. She is very friendly, has the lightest touch and help a friend overcome her fear over her first tattoo. As usual appointments a must since they have been busier lately but its a really great environment and super clean.

My tattoo is beautiful, I had a great first experience at Asylum. I had a custom piece done by Bella, she took what I gave her and worked her magic on it! Its the art that comes to you naturally. The shop was very clean and was such a comfortable environment. I will definitely be going back for more work and would highly recommend her to our friends and family.

If I could give zero stars I would. Only went here because cliffs had a two hour wait limit. I got my cartilage pierced here along side my aunt 8 months ago and I’ve had nothing but trouble with my piercing. The pain after getting it pierced was near unbearable, my aunt has many tattoos and she said that pain was worse than any of her tattoos, she’s also had her cartilage pierced before and never had an experience like that. After doing proper aftercare and not touching it or sleeping on it nothing would make the infection go away and my ear would throb on a day to day basis. I finally went to a different piercing shop where they told me my piercing was done completely wrong! It wasn’t in a good spot and it was pierced upwards instead of straight through and the earring they put it in my ear was a screw which was causing a lot of discomfort. She told me my best bet was to take it out, let it heal and get it re pierced by a professional. i have had to deal with several keloids, infections and headaches because my piercing wasn’t done right.

Wonderful experience!I found Asylum Tattoo on Google and could not be happier with the experience. My best friend and I went in for matching tattoos today. Larry is skilled, kind and funny. He fit the design in perfectly with my existing tattoos.I was pleasantly surprised to see that the shop uses saniderm to cover the finished tattoos.We’ll be back!

Stopped into the shop on Friday with my idea and they hooked me up with Danny. He took my idea and created an exquisite intricate tattoo in less than 2 days! On Sunday I went in and was completely blown away by his stencil. Im so in love with the tattoo he gave me. The shop is clean, super friendly and down to earth. Their prices are extremely fair and Danny is a truly talented artist with such a humble demeanor. His attention to all the little details was amazing. His chairside manner was impressive. A 10/10 experience. Cant wait to go back!!

This place is amazing, they got the most comfy couch ever while your waiting for your turn to go up next and it very clean as well. I recommend Carisma, she’s the best but everyone in there are good as well and super friendly. Carisma did two of my tattoos and both of them came out outstanding, I’m so I love with it. She made me feel comfortable while I was getting my tat done and before hand she made sure her section was cleaned/sanitized. I would be going to carisma more for up coming tats ideas I got in the future.

This is the best place to get a tattoo! I went about a week ago for my first tattoo by Bella. I was extremely nervous, but Bella’s light touch made my session more than bearable. It felt as if she wasn’t tattooing me at all. I recently just got two more tattoos and her skill is incredible. Very talented!! I will be getting more tattoos by Bella at Asylum Tattoo in the near future!!!

I got 3 piercings done. Rook, tragus and my 3rd hole on my lobes. Larry did my piercings. He did AMAZING!!! They didnt hurt and look good. He was funny and great to have a conversation with while getting my piercings done. Will DEFINITELY be coming back again for more.

I had decided to get my first tattoo in memory of my fiancé, Frankie, on the one year anniversary of his passing. Getting a tattoo was something that we had talked about doing together for years but I never knew what I might want. When he passed, I had drawn up his words, “Surprise me,” in a heart design so he’ll always be with me. A week before the anniversary, his friend Kristy and myself started scouting for a tattoo shop. She wanted to get a tattoo for her father who also passed away, and being it wasn’t her first tattoo, we decided to go together. We tried two other shops before finding Asylum Tattoo. The previous places did not have an artist who comfortably and confidently could do our tattoo ideas. Then we met Larry. From the moment we met him we both got a feeling of finding “the one.” Larry was funny, friendly and honest, plus he was wearing a fedora. He showed us pictures on his phone of different tattoos he’s done with such fine lines and in small spaces, plus time-lapse videos. He took his time with us looking at our designs, gave us estimates, and took out a pencil to draw out different details and ideas. I pinched Kristy and we gave each other the look of “this is our guy.” We gave our deposits and returned a week later to get the best tattoos. Larry was a pleasure to work with and made my first experience getting a tattoo very fun. He used a special clear adhesive instead of plastic wrap that we had to keep on for five days to let the tattoos heal. After five days, I removed the adhesive and moisturized with non-scented lotion twice a day. In a week, the tattoo was healed with no scabbing. Thank you Larry!!✍🏼

Where do I start. Walked into establishment and was met my Laakin. Spoke to her about what I wanted and she was more than willing to accommodate me. My dad passed a month ago and I wanted to do a tribute to him. I gave Laakin what I wanted and she asked what was special to my dad.My dad loved tweety and she worked it into the tattoo I provided. I absolutely love it. Will be returning again for another tattoo.

I went here for my first piercings on my 17th birthday. I got Snakebites. The experience was flawless. The people made me significantly less nervous, and more comfortable. Plus, the price was very reasonable especially when another shop wanted $80 PER PIERCING JEWELRY NOT INCLUDED. I am definitely going back for any tattoos and piercings I want in the future.

Larry was awesome. Stayed late to take me and my friend in for walk in tattoos. My first color tattoo and it came out awesome, would definitely recommend this shop. Larry also records a time lapse of the whole tattoo and sends it to you afterwards which is really cool

I got my first earrings Saturday may 4 2019. Bob is great. He uses a needle not a gun which is the correct way. Painless and quick. The place is dark but clean. I am recommending this place to everyone. Price was very reasonable. 5 stars all the way. All their great reviews appear to be true. Ignore the one from that clown John strika who complains about paying tax lol.

I love this place so much !! Carisma did my cartilage and my second earring hole piercings. i told her i had a hard time dealing with pain sometimes and she gave me some tips to help myself through it. most of all she talked to me to help get my mind off of it. she is very understanding and super nice. only person i will go to for ANYTHING 🖤

Let me just say one thing here... Mindy is the most honest soul you will find to ink you up... Ive been going to a shop called Asylum Tattoo since 2006, in Northern Ky... I recently sent a pymt to them via PayPal... Well it ended up here in NY... Mindy worked with me to reverse that payment and let me be real clear, it was for a sleeve soo it wasnt a $50-100 deposit.... I will make a trip to Asylumtattoony to meet this goddess one day!! Her work is insane from the pix shes shared... She will take very good care of you... This I have no doubt about!!! Did you see the butterfly wing n rose petal rose 😱😱😱 When I do visit I will get a piece done for sure....

My husband and I went in for pricing, was not expecting to stay since I had my little ones. We left the shop inked up. Kerwyn, and the entire staff was awesome! Very clean, very helpful, and patient. Like I said, I wasnt expecting to get anything, since I had little ones. Kerwyn was not bothered, and on the contrary ,interacted with our kids, and joked around. Needless to say, after years of looking for a new tattoo shop, we have found one. Thank you.Ps prices are good too!

Pretty cool place, clean and nice people. Just the princess are a little too high I would say. For a tattoo no more longer then 4 inches just with the simplest sun just a circle and lines and few dots I got charge 100 dollars.

I just went in to get my nose pierced today. the process was quick and simple, the place was clean and the staff were very friendly. i barely felt it when he was piercing my nose. would 100% go back for another piercing!!

Amazing work every time I go. Never a disappointment. They always make sure your comfortable and its never an awkward silence, they are very outgoing guys and I never go anywhere else for a tattoo or piercing. Best place there is

My boyfriend is heavily tattooed and went here for multiple tattoos and had given this shop a lot of business and got a messed up tattoo by one of the artists named Kerwyn. he contacted the owner of the shop and she has done nothing to make it right. his tattoo was not only very off in placement but ended up becoming very infected. after waiting all day (almost 11 hours) at the shop when we were the ONLY customers getting a tattoo, my boyfriend ended up with a tattoo with lines that didnt match up and that were extremely deep!! when we reached out to tell the shop owner she not only cursed at my boyfriend she blocked him. i would never recommend anyone to go here. this shop is extremely unprofessional and their artists are unexperienced.

Great artist Great prices and great work . My girlfriend was tattooed in the copaige location and the people there was so friendly, the price is the best around , but most important they have artist that can draw. Not those copy and paste from google artist , you can smell how clean it is and how layed back they are . Ive been in many shops and to be honest i feel like im foreced to pay so much money for such a small tattoo , and somtimes the art isnt as what i would like it to be .. but in asylum they make sure they draw and tattoo what you like . Ill give it a 5 star and my girlfriend as well for how clean fast and humble they are . Ill be getting my tattoos here

This review pertains to their Sunrise Highway shop. I couldnt find a link for them so Im posting here. As far as my tattoo, I was happy. What I wasnt happy about was, what I feel, is shady business practices. I got work done at their booth at the L. I. Tattoo Convention and we agreed on 300 for my tattoo yet, when I saw the charge in my bank account, I was charged 325. I understand 25 bucks isnt alot of money but its still theft in my eyes. If there was a surcharge on using a credit card they should have SAID so and if not, its theft. I planned on getting alot more work done and now it wont be here

My twin daughters and I had the greatest experience. Everyone was so supportive because it was my first time. This was a great mother-daughterssssss day. Thanks for making my daughters countdown to their 21st Birthday the greatest time ever!!!

Danny is my go-to tattoo artist. Literally trust him blindly. Just bounce a few ideas around with him, and the outcome is always really impressive. I trusted him with my hand and couldnt be happier with the results. Clean, sterile and PERSONABLE.

The tattoo talent there is not too good. Its unfortunate when you hear that from multiple towns away and multiple tattoo studios. Just need to get a good artist in there. But the liquor store next door is amazing

Kids basicly run this shop, the talk about drugs and sex was horrific and the attitudes from all the girls in this shop was discusting . I had a kid with tattoos all over his face and no older then my son do my tattoo. He did amazing work but as for my return to asylum. i dont think i will ever be going back.
