Got my first tattoo done here and Candice did an amazing job can’t thank her enough!

I have 40+ tattoos and Candice has done probably 15 of them at least. Candice is an amazing artist that I trust to use her knowledge to enhance the art on my body however she sees it. Im never disappointed. Ive moved away now and have looked for another artist but I seem to keep traveling to see Candice or begging for a guest appearance at a shop near me. Candice puts the ink where it needs to be its clean work in a very clean shop and my healing process has never had any issues. Im thankful for Calico Queen Tattoo and Candice Bradley

Ive been seeing Candaces work on friends in CB for about 5 years and have been wanting to get a tattoo from her for a long time now. Ive always been impressed with her line work and how precise the details are so I just had to book an appointment. I had a wonderful experience and the tattoo turned out spectacular and exactly how I wanted! Highly recommend, Candace is super nice and creates such beautiful art!

Got some piercings from Jen yesterday and had a great experience. Jen was very kind and had my well being first. Also very professional and efficient!

Candice was very professional and helpful when I was still trying to figure out what I wanted and what placement looked best and where. I enjoyed laughing with her and Miley while Night at the Museum was playing. Candice at Calico Queen went above and beyond my expectations. Not only did she do an amazing job helping me plan out a memorial tattoo for my best friend who recently passed away, but shes now helping me plan out an awesome cover up that so many other artists told me couldnt be done. She made me feel super heard and comfortable. I LOVE my tattoo.

Candice is brilliant. She created the perfect peacock side piece for me based on several photos and lots of ideas and preferences. My tat is beautifully placed to accent my curves and colored to accent my personality. Candice is a one of a kind and true professional artist!!!!

I wanted a small tattoo. Was putting my name on the wait list and this mask wearing tall guy came out to see if he could help with any questions. Very informative, polite and patient with my many questions. Once I got in the chair I was completely at ease. Alex kept me informed with every step he had to be completely prepared for my piece. He did an awesome job on all levels. Will definitely stop back for more of his work.

I was in Crested Butte for an entire week for my birthday and tried for 5 days straight to have my nose pierced here. On the first day, they took down my number and said they’d call me back and that they didn’t have many appointments that day so we’d have plenty of time to do the piercing. Never got a call back that day. Then I called later on that same day, and apparently they had a few walk-ins and took them instead. I made it clear that I was working down the street at a coffee shop and that I could come in as soon as they called me. Over the next three days, they said each day that they might have time but never called or fit me in.Finally, on my last day in CB, I walked in in the morning, and again, they said they didn’t have the time. It became quite clear that this tattoo shop does not care at all about piercing clients. I had $140 for three piercings in hand and practically begged them to take my money, but I guess they just didn’t need the business? As a fellow business owner, I cannot understand how you could turn away clients that are practically begging to give you business. It makes no sense whatsoever. It was almost as if I was annoying or inconveniencing them by wanting their business. If you are in CB visiting (or even residing), I would suggest driving yourself the 46-mile round trip down to Gunnison for your piercing needs. I ended up getting my piercings at Facing Fear Tattoo on Tomichi Ave, and they were wonderful.

Unfortunately I did not have a very good experience, Im not saying the tattoo wasnt good or that the place wasnt clean. I just did not feel comfortable. At no given time was I really shown where everything was coming from. There was no explaining of what he was doing. Not to mention, I had no idea he had only been an apprentice for less than two years at this place until over half way through the tattoo. I went in with full confidence this was going to be an great unforgettable experience, I was right it was unforgettable. As a client, a fairly new one at that, I was expecting to be asured I was in a safe place. Instead I left with an unfinished piece all because honestly the artist made me feel like it was not worth finishing.

Alex did an amazing job on mine and my husbands tattoo! He stayed late and made sure we got exactly what we wanted. He was so nice and did an amazing job! Highly recommend!!

I got my nose re-pierced. I had it originally pierced in Oklahoma but it never fully healed so I took it out. I read that the problem was probably a metal allergy. I went to Calico Queen to have it re-pierced and discussed different metal options. We opted for titanium instead of surgical steel. She was so professional and the re-pierce hurt way less than the original did (I always heard that re-piercing hurts worse). Overall it was a great experience! I may just make a 12 hour drive to Crested Butte any time I want a piercing.

***** EASILY five stars!! I got Candice as my tattoo artist, she drew me up the perfect cat tattoo using my references. She met every single check in the box, very clean tattoo artist. The tattoo experience was catered to the customer, she let me pick out a movie on the TV to play, she made sure In the best position for me. The tattoo was honestly painless, it felt like a little scratching, no more than that. If anyone told me they wanted a tattoo, I would immediately make them go to Calico Queen Tattoo. I wouldn’t have it any different!

Super awesome shop. Candace did exactly what I was hoping for and I couldnt have had a better experience. Overall great vibes in the shop, no need to worry about feeling uncomfortable or judged when at Calico queen!

I really regret getting my tragus pierced here while on vacation. The piercer did not use a large enough bar and it ended up needing to be surgically removed by my local shop. 0/10 terrible experience.

They gave me a Capri-Sun chilled to the perfect temperature. My friends tattoos also turned out great!
