Meraki Tattoo and Piercing

We had a wonderful experience! We took two girls to have their ears pierced for the 1st time. The people working there were very patient, kind, and caring. They were not pushy at all. Also the lobby area was beautiful and very clean. Thank you for the wonderful experience you gave two these two girls.

Got my conch pierced today. Lil was so sweet and gentle. She told me everything she was doing and it was an awesome experience. She even helped me change my hard to reach rook jewelry. The shop was clean abs tidy. Lils work area was very clean and tidy. I will definitely be coming back for my next piercing!

My fiance and I went and got tattoos today. Our artist was Jake. He was absolutely amazing. Friendly, professional, and does AMAZING work!! We both love our tattoos and will definitely be back to get more tattoos from Jake. Thank you to all the friendly staff and a huge thank you to Jake.

Went in with some questions and looking for new piercing jewelry. The staff was very informative and helpful! Was welcomed with smiles and left buying some cute new hoops! Great staff and reasonable prices. Will definitely return if I ever need more jewelry.

I absolutely love this shop. My brother told me to go here because theyve never messed up a tattoo on him and theyll always have good advice. He definitely wasnt wrong. Theyre extremely nice and even better, they made me and my friends feel safe. Tattoos definitely dont feel good so its nice to be able to talk to someone who can keep you distracted. I would recommend this place to anyone. They have piercers and tattooers that can do most things. I got my first tattoo here and Im going back next month to get another! My tattoo is the Coraline mouse and my girlfriends is the Alice and Wonderland watercolor (both pics from the day we got them)

Called in on a Monday got seen for a consult on Tuesday and tattooed Sunday. Fast professional and great quality work. Got a quick out line of me and my son and my tattoo artist was awesome thank yall again.

I went into the shop to check out the tattoo artists work and to ask about a piercing apprenticeship. Being that I just moved to the area from out of state, I had no information on what needed to be done to obtain an apprenticeship /license etc so I went in to speak to the owner (one of the piercers) for some information. Within the short conversation that was had, she was extremely rude and condescending. I was told that the apprenticeship would be $ 6,000 and was heavily questioned as to why I wanted to even get into the profession. It honestly felt like more of an interrogation than a conversation. When permanent makeup was brought up in passing she told me that she wanted to kick me out for even mentioning it. I was super confused... The next comment was theres no drama here, again out of nowhere. I felt like alot of assumptions were made on her part and I wanted absolutely nothing to do with the shop after that encounter. Since that horrible interaction, Ive had many people mention that she has a poor reputation in the area for lack of professionalism and rude behavior.*She then decided it was appropriate to respond to my fiances review of the shop in a nasty tone. She was stating that we needed self reflection. This was along with other passive aggressive undertones and other false statements of our conversation. Again, great professionalism. That response speaks for itself. Hopefully a better experience will be had if you decide to go. That being said, this review has nothing to do with the other people who work there.

They let me set an apt after speaking with me online . I rearranged my schedule to try to surprise my daughter with a nose ring she wanted for making honor roll at 13 (I spoke with them online to make sure her age was accepted). I was told as long as I brought her birth certificate and my ID it was fine. The lady who greeted us at the door was personal & kind, then after copying my id, who I assume is her manager (sitting across the room) Very unprofessionally just said No loud and stern 3 times before saying they cant do her nose piercing. It was one of the most unprofessional ways of handling business Ive encountered in a long time. No wonder I had so many people tell me not to go here. Complete waste of my time.

Everyone is always so nice when we go in there. Both daughters have now gotten ears pierced there and we have loved the experience. Very kind. Highly recommend.

Emily and the crew were such a help with my baby sister, and explained in detail the inner workings of the shape of her 👃!! Great vibes here too.

I don’t think I will ever find a place to top this one. Joe is absolutely outstanding in his work and his attention to detail. He fixed a botched tattoo and gave me a beautiful new one in less than an hour and a half and he was so kind and fun and just all around the best dude and environment. 10000% will be coming back

Lil is the sweetest! Shes did my snakebites, and anytime Ive ever had a question or concern shes been there for me. Any time Ive had a mishap with jewelry (coming loose or needing new ones asap) she has come through. I love her so much 💜 This place has a great atmosphere, and theyre very clean. Tattooed by Sean; Walk-inThis was my first tattoo and Sean was fantastic. I was a little nervous about it but he did a great job of making sure we’d have all the time we needed and set realistic expectations for me.I’ve been doing research on tattoos for awhile now and knew what to look for. I liked what I saw on Meraki’s page and chose this shop. Sean just happened to have an open schedule and made the process so simple.I’m happy to recommend Meraki Tattoo and Sean in particular.Sean, if you see this, good luck at the convention.

Unfortunately they couldnt finish my tattoo as they dont use UV Ink. Thats the only reason for the 4 out of 5 . They were very nice in their email.

I drove an hour to get pierced here because they could do double piercings at one time & I’ve been watching their work on line.Once I was there, things changed and they weren’t able to do both at the same time. I was so nervous. However… Not only was my piercer amazing and literally talked me through the entire process encouraging me and making me feel comfortable, she was nothing short of amazing. Also the girl manning the front was doing the same. She was telling me girl you got this. Your piercer is amazing. She wasn’t wrong! I wishI could remember her name. Nothing about my appt went how I planned but I’ll tell you what…I’d do it all over again with her!!! Thank you! I’ll be back for more! Oh plus momma got something too. 🤣

Gave the artist a 50 dollar deposit several months ago text the artist reference material and received no call or text back. Called and spoke with a woman about the issue she wanted me to send her the text. I did and never got anything back from her either. I have called twice since and nothing. Would not give this place a deposit. Idk about the quality of work.

Dylan was my artist and did amazing work. He was so kind, loved his vibe, and really seemed to care about not only the work but the person and story behind it. The entire shop had a comfortable and easy environment that makes their customers feel good being there. I will absolutely be going back for my next tattoo as soon as I can!

I got a tattoo done by Joe and he did a phenomenal job! He took my idea and run with it making it way better than I could have dreamed of! He’s very friendly, gentle, and professional! The shop was very clean, bright, and private! I highly recommend him, and will be going back to him for my next one!

Last year, my mom and I went here to speak with one of the artists about getting matching tattoos. We showed him some pictures and discussed colors, etc. The store took a $50 deposit to draw the tattoo and said they would be in touch with us. I texted the guy a few times and never received a response. Mom and I were talking recently about our matching tattoos and we realized we never heard from that guy again or got anything for the $50. Super unprofessional and scammy. Would not recommend going here.

Positive & calm environment, up beat professional & compassionate. attendants, upon entering the building.My oldest son was taken from us tragically in January of this year. I knew how I wanted to represent his memory, it was custom and very detailed. My daughter recommended me to Joe and even attended the initial consult, where we discussed my ideas. Joe said he could make it happen.His talent is absolutely amazing through this very emotional time for me. The detail is exactly on target. I’m so very impressed and appreciative to Joe for making the tattoos exactly the way I wanted. I will definitely be recommending the shop and using it again.

Had my ears done for 1 1/2 months now. I have made various phone calls and came in once after getting them done. One came out while cleaning and i couldnt get it back in by myself due to how irritated it was. My ears are infected, have been... Ive been cleaning them with the salt water solution and aquafor that they recommend. I was told theres only a 2% chance for an infection, I was very adamant that I can only use real metals due to my ears beingvery sensitive. I was again told that I can order some earrings that are of the titanium metal that I was interested in. When I was finished with my second trip in, I was informed that my earrings would take a week to come in. They said I couldnt order them at that time and they would call me the next day. I left my information with them. Still havent heard anything. That was over a month. Looks like I wont be going back...

I’ve been thinking about getting my second tattoo and I just wanted to know how much this tattoo would be. I want her without the wings. I really wanna get it and want to know the exact price so I’ll be ready to make an appointment. I’m sorry for making this into a google review but I also heard good things about this shop! :)

Daughter called and was given an 11am appointment for her and her dad. Show up well the tattoo artist that had previous appointment cancelled decided to do something else that day. They did accommodate and give them a 2pm with another artist. When they start getting the tattoo they’re told it’s a $200 minimum. The tattoo was 4 words and 5 words on the arm for both.

No matter what artist this shop continues to let put bad work, ps them stars look like a 2nd graders

This will always be my go to place for my piercings! I always feel so welcomed when I go in! Meraki is such a comforting and safe place for everyone! The piercer is so kind and gets everything done so well and efficiently! Ive gotten all of my piercings done there and plan to get tattoos there as well! The staff is always so willing to help you and make you feel valued.

I would give them zero stars if I could! I emailed this business telling them I would be in today to get my daughters nose pierced. They just listed their price in messenger. Didnt bother to tell me they would not be open today. Glad I wasted 45 minutes traveling. Wont be back!

I was told that there was a cancellation at 1 o’clock. I could be there at 1 o’clock. It was about five minutes away from me however, the call took place at 1:01.When I got there.,They were unfamiliar with just hanging the phone up on me,They went to talk to other people and came back and told me the artist should be there sometime within the next 20 minutes I just left if you don’t even know your artist wasn’t there and told me a minute after the fact that he was supposed to be there to come there weird

Me and my friends went to get our noses pierced last week, and the piercer was absolutely amazing. She was super sweet and calming, and was so quick!! We also went to get tattoos this week and our artist was totally awesome !! He made us feel super comfortable and made the process easy and quick. The atmosphere of this place is so sweet, calming, and everyone there talks to you as if you’re a regular. I highly recommend this place for your next body modification!!

Had a wonderful experience. I took my 7YO daughter to get her ears pierced and they were amazing with her. I wanted to take her to a tattoo/piercing shop instead of a claires or walmart , but didnt want my daughter to be intimidated. They took the time to make sure she was comfortable before starting. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone getting a piercing, and will be coming back for all piercing needs.

This shop is by far the absolute best. Everyone who works here makes you feel at home, not pressured and welcome. I enjoyed how clean and professional everyone is. Ive had 2 tattoos and 1 piercing done here and would never think about finding a different shop. Whatever Meraki is doing they are doing it wonderfully and would never ask them to change a thing 😁

I cant speak on their actual tattoo work but my brother and I made appointments for two small tattoos, conversed with them about the tattoo itself and the placement and sent them a deposit only the show up today and them tell us they don’t have an appointment for us. They said they didnt receive the deposit, which we were able to pull up PayPal and show them that we did in fact send it. I get mistakes and mix ups happen but not a single person working seemed to care in the slightest, the owner did refund our deposit after speaking to her but I drove an hour for this appointment and we were just completely dismissed and had our time wasted. There seems to be a big lack of communication and customer service. They should work on that bc according to their reviews this seems like a regular thing that happens! For anyone looking there is plenty of other shops that do great work AND have great customer service!

Update:The owner contacted me immediately after this incident. She was apologetic and very sweet. I went back today (1/16/21) and got a tattoo from Joe. I lost my dad March of last year and got a tattoo with his handwriting and birdcage and Joe did an amazing job. I would come back in a heartbeat.***I had an appointment for today at noon. When we arrived the woman in the front asked who the artist was and went to go tell him we were there, came out and asked what we wanted went to go talk to Mikey and I could hear him complaining. She then tells us whoever took the appointment overbooked and he wouldnt be done and had a large tattoo afterwards. It wasnt like a miscommunication over the phone. We had text message confirmation of the appointment. She said she could get us in Tuesday. We had to find a babysitter for today and drove all the way there. When I told her it was unprofessional she gave me a smart mouth answer. Unfortunate. I was excited to try this place out. Also, if youre going to complain about what someone wants down maybe you should only do own personal artwork only and not let customers hear you.

Had my first ever tattoo done here. How was my artist. He was incredibly professional and made sure I received what I wanted. Fabulous experience and would definitely recommend!

My daughter wanted her second piercing. When we arrived at the shop, she began having doubts and started crying. They offered her a soda, were so calm and gentle, and even taught her a new breathing technique. Liz, the owner, showed her every step of the process. My daughter is in love with her new look and my hubby and I will DEFINITELY go back for tattoos. The shop is so clean. The artists are so down to earth!

Went in awhile ago and put 50$ on tattoo for my bf. I was told the artist would be I touch w/ me to schedule when hes available. I filled out their form with my contact info.The artist never contacted me so after weeks I contacted the shop. They said he would be into us soon. Another week goes by. Crickets. So I call again and am told the same thing. Eventually I wanted to cancel and get a refund, the owner then said they have no records of my 50$ and refused to refund me. So I wouldnt advice going here at the risk of their theft. Its likely the piercer girl that had me fill out the form just threw the paper out and took the 50$. Dont know whos to blame but still scammed.

I had an appointment at 8 was told 2 people in back and one waiting. Told would be about 1/2 hour. While waiting a group of 4 came in said had an appointment for 8:30 and then a guy walked in said he had an appointment for 8:30. Overbooking? One piercer at location. So how can you pierce more than one person at a time?. Need better sxheduling.Very disappointed today. Didnt get my piercing done Bought a gift certificate. Maybe when I come back I wont have to wait.

Wow!!! Best tattoo experience Ive had yet. I was a walk in, he saw me immediately. He gave me exactly what I wanted at a price well worth the service. I became light headed and nausea during the beginning and Mike and his staff did everything they could to get me feeling better again before continuing the process. He was super professional and kind. I will definitely be coming back for my future tats.

I see Joe and I’m so conferable with him he is so easy to talk to while your getting your tattoo and one of the girls helped me out my dog jumped on me and pulled my ear piercing out and she replaced it for me because I couldn’t see to put it back . My grandson see Joe also now trying to get my granddaughter in now .

If you are looking for a first tattoo, this is the place to go! Brent made my first tattoo an extremely memorable experience. He was very thorough in explaining the process and what he was doing and did a great job of keeping me talking during it — I hardly felt a thing! I left with a beautifully lined tattoo that holds lots of meaning to me and stories about the amazing person who did it. Not to mention, the store is incredibly clean and has a very comforting atmosphere. I felt welcome from the minute I walked in to the minute I walked out!

My family and I were very pleased with our tattoos that we received here. Four of us went together and we absolutely loved our artist, Joe. It was my daughter’s first tattoo and she had a fantastic experience.

Joe was AMAZING!! He very much paid attention to details, and kept true to the music I wanted on the music staff, for that particular song means the world to me. I absolutely love this piece, I will 100% be going back to him again! Its a little red due to literally just being done, but I couldnt wait to show it off, thank you Joe, and thank you Meraki!

Caleb did an amazing job on my daughters Tinkerbell tattoo! She got it in memory of her godparents who LOVED disney. She was so excited to turn 18 and get this tattoo, the atmosphere was so relaxing and CLEAN! Caleb cleaned so many things during the entire session, it made me more comfortable knowing he was aware of what needed to be done not to mention he is an amazing artist!!

If I could leave zero stars or negative stars I would. My very first experience was about a year ago and my wife and I had an appointment, we walked in and the artist was heard cursing saying he didnt have time for that etc and we were told we would have to reschedule. Since then my wife went back and seemed happy so I figured Id give it a shot. Well, Saturday the dudes appointment before me ran too long, and told me once again I have to reschedule. I cant belive a shop has employees who wont stay to get the job done and they just pack up and go home. To top it off I texted the artist who read my messages to set up another appointment and he has never said anything back. This place has unbelievable piss poor customer service and is completely unprofessional. Dont go here

I went in for a nose piercing and it was quick & painless. Lily did an excellent job and I would highly recommend her to anyone! It was a friendly, clean, and prepared setting.

I went in on Saturday to get my cartilage pierced and I was nervous, but the staff was very nice and assured me that it would be over fast. They double checked on everything and made sure that I was sure about what I was getting. My piercing has already healed very quickly. I would definitely recommend them.

My friend went in for a tattoo today. We showed up at 11:30 for her tattoo because she was told to show up whenever. We were told by the only one who appeared to be working to come back at 1 because thats when others will show up, so we are assuming he doesnt tattoo. When we were almost there at 1, she finally heard back from the person texting her, who told her to come in whenever, telling her to come in at 2. We were very disappointed on the communication for the timing. If they open at 11, they should have staff at 11, especially when she was told to come in whenever. They did try to accommodate and have her come in but we already wasted our time waiting to go back at 1 oclock and found elsewhere to go.

I have nothing but ill words. Liz knows how I feel. Karma will shine!!! Dont go here unless you want a tattooo. Poor management skills, the tattoo artist is what keeps this business afloat and I guarantee in due time she will be left with no crew again!!!

Put a deposit down to get a tattoo. I showed my original design and was told they would draw something up. Only the drawing I got wasn’t bad just not what I had asked for. So I told them what I wanted even more specifically and they came up with something closer but wasn’t what I really wanted. When I referred back to my original drawing I was told they could do something like that but wouldn’t be happy about it. So I created a new design and sent it to them. Only to be told it was ridiculous. Was told I couldn’t get my deposit back. So now I’m without a tattoo and my deposit. Idk everyone seemed really nice at first so I had high hopes. But was disappointed.

Just went in to get my septum pierced. Ive been contemplating it for nearly a decade. So glad I came here to get it done! Staff is professional! I believe my piercer was Chris (sorry, Im horrible with names!) She explained everything she was doing before she did it, and shes one of the best piercers Ive ever had! You guys rock!!!

Changed my review from 5 stars to one star because the ONLY reason for a good review was for the artists that worked there. Notice the past tense? Every single artist packed up and left the shop!! DO NOT GO HERE!!! The owner is power crazy and doesnt appreciate the people who work for her!!!! Literally EVERYONE who worked there left!!! Anyone with a brain can tell that that says something!!

Going in for refund or not gonna remove comment. I got a straight line that is 2 mm off within one inch, dont get ring tattoos here... They made fun of a tattoo I had that had the smallest blow out and straight 4 inch lines but couldnt do a simple ring tattoo. Im literally gonna fight the guy who did it if I dont get a refund. Ruined my tattoo experience and dont trust anyone now, they promised straight lines $180 and free touch ups, but who wants to go back to someone who is so immature.

I brought my daughter in to have her tragus pierced along with 2nd holes in her ear lobes. Emily was awesome with her, took her time, and double checked everything to make sure we were who we said we were (consent for a 17 year-old minor and made sure I was the actual parent). Emily was great, and didnt mind me watching over her shoulder too! Thanks, Emily!

My piercer was really nice, very sanitary, very professional. She pierced my septum and did a perfect job :) + the music in there was all bangers 10/10

I haven’t gotten my tattoo yet, but I private messaged them and the owner replied back so fast. She is a very nice lady and she helped me and answered all the questions I have. Very amazing if you ask me because other tattoo places aren’t like that.

My wife had a very bad experience at another shop and came here to get a tattoo and they took great care of her. She said they were all very nice and her tattoo looks great! Would definitely recommend coming here.

I came in for a consultation about a tattoo and the next day put money down and its been two months and not a word. I called a month ago and they said theyd get back to me and still nothing. So ridiculously unprofessional and they cant even be bothered to answer the phone.Edit. I dont have the wrong studio. Talked to the owner and still havent received my money back. Con artists

Every place I’ve been to has asked what kind of jewelry i needed. I was surprised when the piercer just put something in. I assumed that since i paid 80 dollars for lobe piercings that i would get sterling silver instead of cheap jewelry that caused a reaction. You guys should definitely ask the customer if they are allergic to any jewelry.

I waited an hour for an jewelry change. There was a group of 4 that walked in just before me. The piercer asked what I needed done and I explained. If they would have paid attention when I said “if you just bend it, I can do it myself”, I would have been out in 5 mins. While she was checking the others in, one of the minors didn’t have ID. She still took them all back to the room. When it was time for the minor to get their stuff done, that is when they decided to go home and get their ID. Instead of just doing my jewelry, I had to sit there and wait for the person to go all the way home to their ID. A 5 min process took an hour. Hour of my time I will never get back.

The 2 hour wait (with an appointment) sucked. My husband was ready to leave an hour in, but I waited it out. I had a reaction to something, as did my sister (who got a tattoo at the same time). I do suffer with psoriasis, but still.... I’ll never go back & I’ll need to do a retouch somewhere else since the color didn’t take well.

(UPDATE: I was refunded the 50 dollar deposit on Sept 15th)Wasted 50 dollars on a down payment for a tattoo that I am never going to get. They were friendly when I gave them my idea. I signed a CONTRACT that said I would COMMUNICATE if I had issues and needed to reschedule. Which is entirely fair. Mike told me that he would contact me when he had a sketch to ask me my thoughts in a few days and said that he could do the tattoo on tuesday (exactly 7 days after I met with him). A week rolls by and I have heard absolutely nothing. So I call to see if i still have an appointment and they tell me that Mike is out sick. Totally fine but this was not communicated with me at all. They told me to call the next day to reschedule I do and they say he is sick still. Again no communication. I call a third time and they say that Each artist is responsible for rescheduling and handling the appointments of their own clients. It has now been 2 weeks and I have heard nothing from them. I have a schedule too and i have done my part in communicating but I will not be getting a refund for the down payment that only states that there are no refunds. I guess that means if they screw up its ok because they still get my money. I PUT DOWN THIS DEPOSIT AS A COMMITMENT FOR A TATTOO. But they themselves are not committed. If I could give them zero stars I would I went there and they needed special paper work after I filled out there paper work so they told me to go home and get it so I did and when I got back they told me they couldn’t pierce me after I sat in there waiting room for over an hour and they where very rude with horrible customer service I will never give them any business and I hope you don’t either

I had a piercing. Everything was extremely clean, and the piercer was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Called in and was informed that I could get my tongue pierced even tho Im 17 as long as I had my ID I just needed my parent there to verify and approve then when we got there they refused to do it bc I was under 18 even though I had my parent there and my ID. Worst part is they have a big sign inside the window that says piercings and tattoos can be done on those under 18 as long as they have their ID and a parent present to approve

Awesome experience though worthy to note if taking your minor child for a piercing and you do not have the same last name be sure to bring the birth certificate

Worst place ever untrained and rude haha yea I paid for the earrings and u didnt give the money back and ur not the owner and that that tattoo I refused to get I didnt trust your shop and told others not to they stopped going there after an er trip over your peicer they stop using ur shop I had pictures

They charged my wife and daughter $300 for 40 minutes worth of tattoos, charged 3 hours?! Shady way to do business, absolute embarrassment!!!
