I went on Friday the 13th during the flash sale. My tattoo turned out amazing! Everyone was friendly, the shop was extremely clean, all around good vibes. I will be coming back. :)

I cant say enough about this shop and its owner. The shop is clean, organized, and has the best VIBE! Carefully designed for comfort and the esthetic is amazing. Carolyn is a genius and I am thrilled to have her. She is truly an artist with vision, talent, and a joy to work with. I will be referring everyone because Ive never had a better experience!

Got ink done with my wife a couple months back! Just wanted to say how impressed I am with this shop and the artist that work here! There was a small scheduling problem totally our fault but Noelle handled it and got us in the very next day! Love our ink and Noelle was a pleasure to sit for!!

Tried to get a cover up years ago. Had an apprentice working on me that did not tell me she was an apprentice. Literally took her 6 hours to get the outline partially finished and she was charging by the hour. I agreed to pay 250 dollars for a partially finished outline then the owner of the shop threatened not to give me back my deposit if I didnt take my negative review down. I honestly thought the main artist did amazing work but it was a terrible experience for me. If you are an apprentice then that is the first thing you should tell someone. It was the worst tattoo I have ever received and I have to deal with it everyday. Took multiple trips to another artist to get it in order and is still the biggest regret of my life. Its just plain awful on top of awful. Gave the artist full reign on how she wanted to execute this cover up and now I think removal is my best option. The photo is after multiple trips to another artist that made it look manageable 😩

Walked in with an idea and Noelle brought it to life. Amazing artist very professional and a great personality talking with her during my session made the time fly by. Will undoubtedly be going back fantastic work Noelle thank you so much.

Noelle was absolutely amazing! Her quality of work was exceptional! She completed three tattoos for myself, my dad, and my wife. Each of the tattoos were different and she excelled at each of them! Carolyn is an excellent artist. The experience in the shop was amazing. My 85 year old grandfather and I got tattoos together. He is an retired marine and they presented him with a marine corp flag as he was getting his tattoo. He got the Marine Corp globe and anchor emblem and I got an American flag tattoo. What an great experience and memory I will have for the rest of my life. The way they decorated the shop is also awesome. Chris Carolyn and Mike are all great people. They know the proper way to run a business and treat their customers. Their work is guaranteed. Highly recommended.

I had such an amazing experience here! Carolyn is patient, kind, talented, and such a truly gifted artist. She just completed a lightning bug tattoo for me and her high quality realism really brought this unique insect to life. The background that she added also complimented the lightning bug and really made it stand out and POP! Carolyn seems to be light-handed too because my tattoo was not painful at all, even though it was on a sensitive part of the body. The tattoo shop is clean, fun, and I really love the way it is decorated. They have lots of neat taxidermy, art, and antiques. The staff at Americas Best tattoos are very friendly and helpful also. They treat you like family as soon as you walk in the door. This is such a refreshing trait, especially if you have been to previous tattoo shops where the staff and artists are stuck up, impatient, or flat out rude. Americas Best Tattoos is simply that, THE BEST!

Above and beyond anything you could ever expect. We had Olivia, and yeah she was absolutely excellent at her job, and customer service was tops. But by the end of the experience it felt like we were just chatting with a friend. In the time it took for my wife and I to both get our first tattoos we had laughed till we cried many times.But on a professional note, she gave us tips about first tattoos *without* discouraging us from our own ideas. She was kind and patient.

We were in the area for a weekend getaway and decided to get a tattoo. We read amazing reviews about this place, but it was even better than we had expected. Noelle did our beautiful water color compass tattoos. She is an incredible artist, and really brought the idea of our tattoo to life for us. I have gotten multiple tattoos done at this shop by their artist Noelle. She always does such an amazing job!! She is so sweet and easy to work with. She is very gentle in doing her work and my tattoos haven’t faded at all. She always helps me get the ideas I want in my head onto ink and her designs are absolutely some of the most amazing drawings I’ve ever seen!! If I could give this place 100 stars I could. If you’re getting a tattoo for the first time and looking for someplace to go I would recommend Noelle! I brought my husband to Crystal River for a getaway weekend. We ended our trip with tattoo appointments at Americas Best Tattoos and loved our experience. We booked with Liv and she literally was one of the best tattoo artist we’ve ever worked with. She listened to us and gave us just what we wanted. Conversation was so easy and the atmosphere of the place was great. I told my husband when we left that I may be making a 4.5 hour trip when I’m ready for my next tattoo because Liv did so great and made me feel so comfortable.

I was looking for a place for my first Tattoo, I saw the reviews and I went to check it out. It was a great time and had an amazing tattoo created and designed by Liv. Great atmosphere, friendly. Not sure when Ill be getting another or when I want to add more onto this one, but it turned out great and I will definitely return for one someday again.

Carolyn has got to be one of the worst artists in citrus county. After Carolyn messed up my tattoo twice. they had every excuse from “she was tired” and your arm was to big for the tattoo” and we can’t make a tattoo symmetrical ”. Very poor quality and extreme lack of experience from outlines to shading at America’s best tatttoo in crystal river.

I’m really disappointed with the way this tattoo turned out. After less than 2 months, it’s missing ink in several places and the lines are not good. We were told that touch ups are free, but our family got these tattoos while we were on vacation, so they’ll have to be touched up by a local artist. All 6 of our tattoos didn’t heal well, and some have lost more ink than mine. I followed after care instructions exactly. My tattoos from a local artist, which are 7 years old now, still have every bit of ink and still look new. The artist was very kind, but way too light-handed.

This place is hands down my favorite tattoo studio ever now. I was new to the area in January this year and looking for a good vibe. I’ve had some poor work done in the past and needed cover up work. The owners and staff didn’t disappoint. They take the time to know their clients one on one. Especially one of the owners Michael. They use top notch equipment and are always cleaning and sanitizing. Went last night to get my nose re-pierced as a walk-in with no appointment. Upon entry, my husband and I were greeted and welcomed immediately. They were able to schedule me in right away. We called on a whim while visiting family for thanksgiving, and was surprised that we were actually able to get my mom an appointment for a memorial tattoo she has been wanting for YEARS. We managed to book an appointment with Anna (Dion) for my mom AND my Great Aunt Sue. When I tell you the level of professionalism and care that these ladies put into their work is unmatched. Every. Single. One. Of these ladies is so nice, so accommodating, and they do absolutely AMAZING work.While the first idea wasn’t exactly what she wanted Anna didn’t get frustrated, she worked until she found something that exceeded any expectations and created a beautiful piece that means so much. My Aunts tattoos are equally stunning and the quality is beautiful.Merdith also did my aunts eyebrows and they look phenomenal. And once again the friendliness, cleanliness, and just the amount of care these ladies put into taking care of them is unmatched. We live 12 hours away, and will happily drive back to get more work done.Thank you ladies so much, for making this an enjoyable, bonding experience for them. We can not sing your praises enough. We went for their Halloween Tattoo-o-Rama event and I have to say they are amazing. The women are super profressional and talented. They make you feel comfortable and are patient. Liv was incredible, she really makes her tattoos detailed and puts a lot of pride in them. Awesome tattoo shop! Only had to wait about a month to get in with Carolyn. I emailed reference photos and ideas and Carolyn played with them and came back with a few different options. She was easy to work with and insisted that I change or modify anything I didnt like. She wanted to make sure I got exactly what I envisioned. The end result is amazing and I cant wait to add on!

I had come in for two things one was a fresh piece that was done rather quickly for the amazing quality it produced.The secondI came in skeptical for the finished quality as I had three separate pieces that I wished to have covered with one big piece and I could not be more happy with the result. The girls were incredible. 2 days in and Ive gotten tons of compliments on my newest tattoo done by Noelle.I also got 2 piercings done by Lex. Crystal River so needed a high-end tattoo shop! Carolyn is an amazing artist with great ideas and the best skills Ive ever seen in a tattoo artist. The shop was extremely clean & attractive, everyone is courteous, and I could not have been more happy. I brought her a tattooed mess other shops told me a cover-up tattoo would be impossible on, and she made it happen in brilliant fashion. A total miracle worker! If youre looking for top of the line, photo realistic, brilliant work, Americas Best Tattoos lives up to their name. Im a client for life! Totally recommended!

5 stars all the way!!! Walked in not really knowing what or how I wanted to add on/repair a tattoo from another shop. Talked with Carolyn and Michael for a bit and decided to let Carolyn have some creative freedom...best decision ever ☺️. A true artist through and through...not only did she have a light hand but did some outstanding work around the existing tattoo, blending it in seamlessly. Professional, yet laid back atmosphere really makes you feel comfortable. Wish Americas Best Tattoos was open here when I got my original done but I can tell you that I WONT be needing to look around for another shop. Already thinking about my next one and my wife has an appointment next week for hers.

Arianna did an amazing job on my tattoo. She is super talented and helped me come up with a design that was the right style I was looking for. Once the design was agreed upon, she was very thorough and detailed oriented throughout. I cant express enough on how great of a job she did. I would definitely go back to her again. My wife decided to finally pull the trigger on her first tattoo the other day, so it was time to decide where to go to have the work done. As a walk in client and a first timer, they went over the procedures with her, drew up her design, and completed the tattoo in a timely, professional manner. The artist took her time to make everything perfect, from the experience itself to the ink on my wifes arm. The tattoo is healing up extremely quickly by following her instructions of after care and it looks better than ever. The artist drew up a design that was even better than the original picture my wife had planned on getting tattooed. Carolyn was the artist and she is extremely talented, we are very pleased with her work and look forward to having more done!

Lexx is awesome. The shop looks really neat inside and lexx’s piercing station was really cool. She pierced my son’s ears today and was very friendly and professional. I was very happy with my first simple tattoo but my cover up is a hot mess. I truly adore Nicole but she should of worked more openly with me on my cover-up. Which I didnt want to be a cover up I wanted it to be re-done! Now the colors around it show the original through it. I am very sad to post this and they say they will fix it for free but idk if I can trust that as my arm is still sore and they give you only 2 weeks but I am 1 day from that and its still healing. I went to mad hatter for the other arm redo and it looks great. So sad to give just a 2 star rating. 😭

I went here for my first tattoo and they were extremely helpful and welcoming. Noelle did my tattoos and she did a fantastic job, and I ended up having very little scabbing (she’s very light handed ). Overall I had an amazing experience and would recommend them again and again.

The 3 tattoo artists were great, very nice. They all had people in their chairs when we went in. The decor inside is awesome. Theres a stuffed bear, half a great white shark head, pool table, deer. We went in for 4 tattoos. We did not get any due to $190 an hour price quote. It was too expensive for us. Other than price its a cool place. Cool people.

Ive had several tattoos done and my dad didnt like any of them just because he was very old fashioned and didnt believe in them.After I had some work done by Carolyn, I went to my dad to show him what I got. My daughter and I had our helixes pierced today by Lexx. The experience was phenomenal. My daughter was incredibly nervous and Lexx made her feel comfortable and put her at ease. Love this place. I’ve gotten three fairly large pieces done here and all turned out better than what I imagined. Shane Spicer does a fantastic job as I’m sure the rest do and the environment is super welcoming. Would 100% recommend it and will be back soon.

What a great shop Shane is truly outstanding artist and fellow veteran like myself so the trust in him was from the get go. He drew up my idea in no time and was fast on getting it done 2 hours on a full color piece which was great I cannot wait for him to finish my military themed sleeve.
