Jessica is the best piercer in the area! she’s so considerate and knowledgeable about piercings and eases your mind. I’ve been going to her since 2019 and all of my piercings she’s done have healed well.

I have been in the process and have had the pleasure of having a sleeve done by Tara since the beginning of the year. Although we still have a lot of work to do, I cant wait until its done to leave a review. Tara has the most patience and gentle hands when it comes to tattooing. She has taken every little idea I have had and found a way to make it work without saying no or doubting any of it. (We even squeezed a small, separate one in, in between.) Its all coming out even more detailed and amazing than the reference pictures. The amount of compliments I get on the daily makes me feel so good knowing that I am going to the right, must trustworthy artist. Its a big deal when you trust somebody to put something permanent on your skin that will be seen by many and will live with you forever. She takes every step and precaution to make sure that you are in a safe, comfortable, sterile environment. If you are looking to get tattooed, especially for the first time, all of your fears will go away in Taras hands, I couldnt recommend her more!!!

I can’t speak to the tattoos but I had a bad experience with the piercer. I believe her name was Jessica. When I called and asked about the piercing that I wanted ahead of time, the person who answered the phone was so kind and helpful. When we got to the parlor, the person who received us was immediately aggressive and not friendly at all! My son wanted his ears pierced and my daughter wanted her nose pierced. When we asked a question, the way she responded to us was not only robotic but it was in a condescending tone. Then when my daughter was getting the nose piercing, she snapped at her and would tell her things like “relax!” and “Don’t move because if I lose this grip neither of us will be happy!” There was no tact with her words or trying to make the customer feel comfortable or any patience or anything. Just annoyance and aggression. She is obviously not a people person and should not be in a profession where she has to deal with people in this capacity.

I have been all over Long Island since the age of 18, getting tattooed. Some of them were good experiences, and some of them were bad. I found Tara about 6 months ago, through a mutual friend. I can now say that at the age of 35, I have finally found the best artist for me. The shop is impeccably clean, Taras work is amazing and speaks for itself, and I have had nothing but awesome and happy experiences here. Tara has done orginal pieces and has covered up and reworked most of my prior stuff, and I look forward to having more work done by her. Body Designs is wonderful and I cant recommend it or Tara enough. If you need a tattoo or piercing this is the place to go.

Tara is a great tattoo artist!! Shop is always clean and well kept. Tara takes the time to get to know you and puts your ideas on paper very well. Got all my tattoos by her and dont plan on using any other artist. She does very impressive work. Always looking forward to going back and getting another tattoo!

Id love to give Body Designs better marks than is available - how can ratings only go up to 3??The studio is clean, organized, and aesthetically pleasing. Ive been going to Tara at Body Designs for 4 years now - recommended from a friend. She does not disappoint at all; gotten 7 out of my 11 tattoos by her. Her work is absolutely incredible, she is honest with you, and she is super professional. Their prices are reasonable as well, which is nice. I come all the way from Brooklyn to have Tara do my tattoos - and I wouldnt have it any other way!!!Go here, you will NOT be disappointed!

Tara is an awesome AWESOME artist.If youre given a chance to get inked by her absolutely take it.I have roughly 250 hours of tattooing all over my body and can say she is a real deal artist.I can go on and on about her work but checking the Facebook page for her work shows more than I could ever explain in a review.

Just got done a anti helix/snug and 2 lobes piercings! Jessica did a wonderful job and was very kind. I was really nervous as these were my first piercings in a long time. Thank you again! I found my new favorite place to get my ears pierced!

Today I had my septum pierced by Jess. She was knowledgeable, friendly, clean, and super professional. She did an amazing job with my piercing and I couldnt be happier. It did not hurt one bit and made sure I was happy and comfortable with every decision about gauge and size. Like I said before I couldnt be happier with the job she did. I highly recommend her to anyone!

Tara’s got the steadiest hand in the Buisness, wouldn’t trust line work to anyone else in the field, I don’t really even know how it’s possible but here we are. She’s work we on my tattoos for a little more than two years and if I dont like someone I don’t give them my money or time, and especially forever on my skin.

My experience was perfect! Jessica was the one who greeted me at the door, she got me started right away and did such an amazing job piercing my nose. She was so sweet and made the experience so easy and comfortable. I happened to stumble across Body Designs a few years back with their old shop in Bayshore and have never gone to another artist since. Tara is warm and inviting and takes an idea of what I want and turns it into a piece of art. The shop is always clean, products always organized and new and atmosphere is professional and friendly. Really puts you at ease. Ive personally had 6 of my pieces done by Tara and get compliments daily on how beautiful they are and refer them to Body Designs. If youre looking for a one of a kind tattoo and experience then deffinitely come here.

Such a nice and clean environment. So far I’ve had my nose pierced and an second hole for my ear pierced by Jessica. She was totally professional, very knowledgeable and put me at ease. Those piercings are healing very nicely with very minimal pain or swelling. I plan to get more piercings done by Jessica in the near future and referring all my friends.

Too be brutally honest this shop by far is the most professional,clean, and homey shops ever. I came in to get my lip pierced and ended up leaving with a new tatto and lip piercing. Jess and Tara are great and definitely know how to make their customers feel safe, comfortable, and at home. Being a visitor to Long Island i definitely felt like i was back home. Will be back soon!!

Over the last few years I have been tattooed several times by Body Designs artists. The work I have had done has been both large and very small.Tara, the artist who has done most of the work Ive gotten is talented and skilled. She is good at translating my ideas into art.The studio itself is, by far, the most comfortable Ive ever been in. Of course it is immaculately sterile, but almost as importantly it is friendly FEELING as well. If you are going to have people sticking needles into you to permanently change your appearance, it is important that if feels comfortable and welcoming. This place does.

When I got my very first tattoo (out of now 7 total!) I was very nervous and very scared. My friend who had also just gotten a tattoo recommended Body Designs and said that if I wanted to get a quality tattoo, this was the place to go. The place was clean, neat, and inviting. All of the equipment was sterile and in pristine condition. There were benches to sit on and magazines to read. Upbeat music played in the background. For somebody completely new to this world, I was able to relax and breathe a sigh of relief.While I am certain that Body Designs has an all around incredible staff, I was fortunate enough to be introduced to Tara, an incredibly talented tattoo artist who has only just begun to show us her amazing abilities. I viewed her portfolio prior to meeting her and knew that she was the only person who could do this tattoo for me. After several consultations prior to getting the artwork, I felt ready and confident, even as nervous as I was. From day one, Tara was very kind and put all of my fears to rest. She answered my questions and patted me on the back, assuring me that everything was going to be fine. Tara was professional and meticulous in her work and gave me my most beautiful tattoo: my sunflower. I have since gone back to get my other six tattoos from Body Designs, all with Tara. Now ten years later after the very first tattoo, I still get compliments on what an amazing job she did. I am telling you now, just as as I tell all of my friends...Body Designs is the place to go for your tattoo. It is comfortable, clean, and staffed by the finest tattoo (and piercing!) artists you will ever meet. What more can you ask for?

From a guy that has more tattoos than I should, Ive been going to this shop for years. After going to a few shops in my earlier tattoo years I have always enjoyed my experiences at Body Designs. The staff is always friendly, helpful and personal! Treat you like your a person, a friend, family; not just another customer. Their talent and artwork are some of the best I have seen. Prices are just as fair. You get what you pay for. I personally have enjoyed money well spent! I should know since my past 6+ tattoos are from Body Designs! Before I found this shop I have been to many different tattoo shops and most of them have done horrible work. As soon as I walked into Body Designs and took a look at Tara’s portfolio I instantly fell in love. She is amazing, her work is by far the best around and the coloring is amazing, it is bright and does not fade like some other shops I have been to. All of the tattoo’s that I was not happy with that other artist have done, I had Tara cover up. She does an amazing cover up job and is very creative with her designs to help hide all of the thick dark black writings I had on my body previously. She also tattoo’s my fiancé, we would never go anywhere else! Her father pierced both my friend and I and he made an experience that would usually be scary and painful, into a happy and no longer scared experience. I would highly recommend this place I love all of my tattoos and piercing’s from here!!!!

Jessica is really nice and professional! I made an appointment to get my septum pierced and she did amazing and she had no problem giving me more piercings since we had extra time. Really safe covid protocols in place. I wouldnt go anywhere else!

Had my nipple pierced 5 months ago, by Jessica, and she did a fantastic job.Clean, Sterile environment with perfect vibe for light body mod. Very friendly, courteous, and professional. All pierce location was drawn on for my approval before the actual pierce. Followed aftercare instructions to the letter, and had zero pain, minimal swelling, and no issues with infection. Will be returning for additional piercing literally tomorrow; wouldn’t go elsewhere!

I am so glad i found this place. I had a piercing done elsewhere and had a terrible metal allergy. I couldnt find a local spot with a knowledgeable piercer so I ventured out here from the Bronx. I AM SO GLAD I DID. I will not go anywhere else. I was intimidated walking in as I was pretty embarrassed i even allowed a piercing at the spot i originally went too but Tara welcomed me immediately, troubleshooted my issue, laughed at me with me and gave me such great information. Jess helped me to choose a new piece of jewelry that wouldnt react with my skin and had my ring changed out before i even knew it (literally) i was so busy laughing and chatting i didnt even notice lol. The place is clean, sterile tools are used and the staff is amazing.I will be going back with my husband for tattoos later this summer.Tara and Jess have customers for life. Thank you both so much!

I will start off by saying that what led me to finally get a tattoo at Body Designs was the warm and welcoming atmosphere that the owner and staff of the shop created. The shop itself is really clean and always well staffed.I always wanted a tattoo but the whole process really freaked me out. I literally had an idea of what I wanted to have done for three years before I finally was brave enough to do it. Visiting the shop and watching other people get pieces done put me at ease.When I finally took the plunge and got my first tattoo the entire staff bent over backwards to make me feel welcomed. I walked in with a vague idea of the piece I wanted. Tara took the time to work with me to bring my idea life. The rest of the staff was reassuring as I prepared to get a sizable tattoo put on a sensitive area of my foot. No one laughed as rattled off some of my concerns, they gave me clear answers to my questions, and made the entire experience enjoyable.The tattoo came out absolutely beautiful. I got it done 5 years ago and I still get compliments on how beautiful it is. The shop has helped me to maintain the look of my tattoo by touching it up every few years so it always looks fantastic. I have witnessed some really cool designs come out of Mike Fenns shop and I am excited to get more work done here. When someone tells me they like my tattoo, I make sure to mention where I got it done.What really impresses me about Body Designs is the sense of community the staff provides for their clients. Ive never seen anyone walk in the door and get ignored. When working with their clients, the staff always seems interested and enthusiastic about the work they are doing. I went to Body Designs to get a tattoo by Tara, this was my first tattoo at this shop and I only left my last artist because she moved out of state. I have many tattoos and Body Designs now has one more loyal customer. I couldnt be happier with Taras work, I found the studio to be extremely clean and the staff friendly.I would also like to note that I am in no way employed or affiliated with Body Designs tattoo so the theory of the prior reviewer is not the case here.I would and have already highly recommended Tara to many of my friends!And in regards to the negative, hateful and not-surprisingly anonymous review below I would like to say it is entirely bogus. That review was clearly written by an employee or owner of a competitors shop, and not a very bright one at that. Michael Fenn (The Owner) was there while I was getting tattooed and I got my tattoo done days after their TATTOOS FOR CANCER event in which ALL PROCEEDS went to cancer research so that disproves those 2 points.Do yourself a favor, if youre in the market for a tattoo or piercing check out Body Designs! You wont be sorry!!

Recently got a tragus piercing and some upper cartilage piercings done by Jessica. She is super professional, super personable and is so, so sweet. Jessica does really good work and I intend on going back to her for more piercings in the near future.

I have had 8 tattoos done @ Body Designs & 6 of them done by Tara! She is an EXCELLENT artist who takes time to listen to what you want & gives great advice. I wouldnt go anywhere else to get work done. I even asked my kids to get me a gift certificate to Body Designs for Christmas so I can get my back done!!

Got my nipples pierced by some girl I believe Kristen. I got my nipples and nose pierced. After She pierced them I told her one of nipples look crooked she said it was the way my nipple was. My nose then got infected bad. Ive gotten my nose pierced somewhere else never got infected, which ended up going out of business. This place has Good rates why I went. Never going back. As a see by another review the girls nipple was not pierced right. I know I Wont get my nipple repierced again or get my money back, why I rather leave a bad rate so other people know that she doesnt know how to pierce. Sorry.

My husband and i have gone to body designs for the last 6 years and, obviously, have always been very pleased... otherwise, we wouldnt keep coming back! tara is our inker of choice and we always walk away from her station super pleased. my first tat with tara was a very thoughtful piece and i brought her a whole file folder of concepts and items i wanted incorporated. she listened to my story, the reason for my tattoo, the purpose for each item i wanted, was friendly and interested in my story, took my HUGE FILE and took about a week to put together a piece i loved. shes great to collaborate with and really understands the vision of the person coming in for some ink :) as a matter of fact, ive got a birthday gift card burning a hole in my pocket and im looking forward to going in and getting my 5th tattoo with her!

I got a septum piercing, everything was organized and clean, jess was gentle and gave me all the information and answered all the questions I had very professional with that been said the piercer is going to be as good as the as the care YOU give to the perforation after. Do your OWN research prior to getting a piercing, my healing process has been great and I would recommend it

Dear A Google User who gave Body Designs a 0 for no other reason that I can conceive of other than personal bitterness and spite toward Mr. Fenn: find a hobby. Seriously.For those who are searching to find a great tattoo/piercing studio: look no further. Ive gotten multiple body piercings at Body Designs, and one large back piece thanks to the lovely and talented Tara Fenn. I can say with absolute certainty that there will be more to come. Body Designs is impeccably clean and professionally run--so much so that they request you turn your cell phone off when you walk in the door so as not to disturb those getting inked, which I appreciate--and the quality of the work is top notch. Prices are very reasonable, and the tattoo advice/design process is honest, patient, and never pushy. What more could you ask for?

I recently just got my Monroe pierced here. After the first day of it being pierced I experienced swelling which I knew was normal but after a day the swelling got a lot worse and I was getting really nervous. The swelling got so bad I had to go to the hospital to get my piercing taken out. After this happened I messaged other tattoo places to get their opinion as to what happened. I had told them about my lip and how they put a 5/16 rod in my lip and the tattoo places said that they didnt measure my lip correctly and that that rod was way too small to compensate with swelling, they also said they should of put in a 3/8 or 7/16 which would of been a lot longer to make sure the circulation to my lip wouldnt get cut off. I had a terrible experience Im sorry.

I came here to get my eyebrow pierced during covid. The lady who helped me did not seem interested in starting a conversation, and kept quiet when I spoke to her. As i’ve found out, they also used the wrong eyebrow piercing (she claimed the hoop healed better than the curved barbell, even though i’ve since learned thats incorrect). The hoop moves around more than the barbell, meaning its more prone to irritation, and thus to infection.I cannot speak on the quality of the tattoos done here, but find a different piercer.Piercer had no interest in conversing with me. Not a professional looking shop, piercing knowledge needs work.

I went to get my belly pierced the person exam me for almost 30 minutes and didn’t wanted to do it . Waisted my time. I went down the block and got my belly pierced less than 2 minutes. She does not know what she is doing. I would not recommend her.I’m believe her name was kristen
