DO NOT GO HERE!! My friend and I were vacationing in Dripping Springs and this was the only piercing place in town. They had good reviews so we decided to give it a shot. I was getting my rook done and my friend her helix. The man doing my piercing then came in and said he had to hurry bc he had a tattoo he had to do. I sat down and within 3 minutes the piercing was done. He didn’t tell me anything. He dropped the jewelry in my hair, he was rushing around, he ran into my friend. It was a disaster but the piercing was done so I didn’t have much to complain about in the moment. The next day my ear was THROBBING. I have multiple piercings including my daith and nothing has ever felt like this. I’m now on day 4 and my whole ear is swollen by at least 4x its size and I am having to get on antibiotics. I included a pic of the infected ear and my other ear. I had been cleaning with saline tea tree oil solution that has worked on all my other piercings so I know this was not caused by my negligence. The shop was gross and unsanitary. The person piercing my friends helix literally could not get the needle in her ear. She was trying to push it in for 30 seconds and she was shaking the whole time. It was just an unbelievably bad experience please do not go here!!

Seize is always so great! He is super chill and a masterful artist! I’ve gone to him for over 3 years for both tattoos and piercings and he’s always provided a comfortable and safe space! I highly recommend going to him for your tattoos or piercings!

Got my nose pierced here. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Robert was AMAZING and had perfect placement for my nose ring! He even gave me a lollipop afterwards cause I disclosed I was a little nervous with needles 🤪. Price was VERY fair. I would definitely recommend this place for a piercing.

Came here today for the first time. I got a piercing and had a wonderful consultation for some cover up tattoos. The atmosphere was awesome. Roberts work is some of the best that I have ever seen. Absolutely amazing experience getting my daughter’s ears pierced. She was very nervous and worked herself up. Robert was SO patient with her. Trust me she was NOT an easy customer. He let her gather herself several times. It took over 30 minutes for her to have the courage to get her ears pierced. She was determined to do it but the fear kept taking over. As soon as it was done she said “that’s it? That didn’t hurt at all”. Left with a huge smile on her face. Thank you SO much for you patience and expertise. We could not have asked for a better person for her piercing.

Took my 6 year old recently to get her ears pierced. It was such a quick and easy experience. She didn’t love the moment it happened but was all smiles after she got a blow pop and saw her new earrings in the mirror. The after care and healing process has gone smoothly as well. Definitely recommend.

I got my navel pierced here around 8 months ago. They explained the whole process of how it would be pierced. They made it quick and easy. Really chill people and gave really clear instructions on what to do to take care of it. I went back in today to have it properly cleaned. He was very nice about it and gave me extra tips on how to keep it clean. He also did not charge for the cleaning. Very nice and I recommend it to all my friends who are thinking of getting piercings. Thinking about getting another piercing and will definitely be coming back.

They were really quick and efficient. My girlfriend and I went to get a nose piercing and a navel piercing. We were in and out within minutes. Prices are fair and it was a chill atmosphere. Everything was very clean and it was obvious that our piercer was skilled and had experience.

Hill Country arts was amazing. My daughter, wife, and I were all treaded great when we went. My daughter and wife got their ears pierced while Seize did my tattoo.After our pup died, I thought about doing something for her. Seize was about to scan in her paw print and use her ashes in the ink to make an amazing reminder that shell always be with me.As someone whos never gotten work done before, I was nervous but he put me completely at ease. When I started to get a bit light headed, he handed me some sugar, talked me through it and got my talking about my Chrissy to get my mind off it. I cant recommend them enough.

I rarely write reviews but had such a great experience at Hill Country Arts that I feel compelled to. Robert, aka Seize, gave me the tattoo I have been after for the past 10 years.I had been looking around the Austin area and drove by his shop, quite by accident and I decided to look him up, saw all the reviews here and decided to contact him. An hour later I had an appointment. At the last minute I ended up having to bring my 6 year old daughter with me which I felt might be an imposition, but he was cool with it and let her look through his design books, and I felt very welcome in his place.We talked about my design, and I gave him ideas about what I wanted, but I was vague, and not able to completely articulate what I was looking for (hence taking me 10 years to come up with something). I gave him a small deposit and some pics showing general ideas and colors and let him do his thing.A few days later, he showed me what he had drawn up, and it exceeded my expectations. Yesterday I went in and got it done. He had some last minute suggestions that really pulled it all together, gave the color scheme I was looking for while keeping it from looking like a cartoon. I could not have asked for a better experience.Lastly, as others have remarked, he is a really chill and patient guy. I was getting a lot of work phone calls while he was doing this, and he stopped more than once to give me time to handle them. Amazing from start to finish.Im going back in a few weeks to get a 20 year old tattoo (my only other one) modified and expanded. I wont look anywhere else for this kind of work, he is a true professional, and a great artist.

Great Experience! My whole family has tattoos and have been encouraging me to get one/some. After anagreement that the whole family would get a family design of seven flying birds, I picked my birds and decided to take the plunge. Bryanna was fantastic in helping with all details for my Whooping Cranes like size, direction, angle, level of detail, etc. and even helped me pick out clouds to accent. 3.5 hrs later, Im thrilled with the result! Thanks, Bryanna! Robert even dropped by to say howdy. I highly recommend these folks and am already making plans for my next.

I had a helix piercing that in a dimwitted lapse of judgement I messed up. My circular piercing lacking the ball was overlapped and cutting into my ear, which was painful to the touch. I explained the situation to Robert, and he removed the earring in under 5 minutes with 0 pain! He even added ointment for healing.I was shocked, and I so appreciate the excellent service and gentle hands! An absolute cheap price also. Thank you so much Robert!

This place is awesome! I’ve never been here before and a friend brought me. We both got piercings. This is my first piercing other than original ear lobe that I’ve gotten. They were super personable while still professional. They made me feel super comfortable and had me laughing the whole time. Very cleanly facilities and the jewelry/placing is exactly what I wanted. They made sure my blood sugar wasn’t low after the piercing, offered me juice, and when I said I had forgotten a hair tie, they gave me a clean one to put it up! All the little things added up and I would definitely go back! Super reasonable prices too!

Perfect experience! My 14-year old wanted to get 2nd set of ear piercings. I first took her to Studs, where we were declined service due to their strict 18yo & over policy, even with a parent. I then took her to another piercing shop which required a birth certificate and another form of ID for my 14yo, which we didnt have. A neighbor recommended Hill Country Arts Piercing and Tattoos in Dripping Springs based on their positive experience with her daughter. SO HAPPY we chose this place! Parent will need to show ID, but my daughter picked out her earrings, got her ears pierced and we were out the door in less than 20 minutes. Very little pain, no trouble with the healing, at all. Wish I would have chosen this place for her first pair! Highly recommend the entire experience.

Ight, so here is my experience and you can take it for what its worth.I am covered in tattoos. Two sleeves my chest and my back are tattoos and I plan on doing my legs from the knee down. I set up a tattoo with sieze for 800 dollars. It was going to go about 75% of the way up to my elbow. We had discussed possible adding a little bit more but that would be discussed once the stencil was laid out dut it shouldnt be much more. Day of, we decided to add about 2 inches on the the end. (Mind you this my tattoo is geometrical shapes, all it did was extend the tattoo 2 inches.) I put a 400 dollar deposit with the expectation of paying 800 maybe 1000. Tattoo takes about 6 hours. Now Ive had tons of tattoos already and for geometrical shapes, Im sorry that seems way to excessive however I didnt say anything because so far it was a good experience.Now we finish up and go to the register to pay. I ask him how much it was and he says its just another 400. So Im thinking another 400 on top of the deposit that I already paid of 400. So I give him another 400 cash and he says no 400 on top of the total amount. Meaning that 2 inches i added increased the price 400 dollars. My partial half sleeve was 1200 bucks. Now I didnt say anything at that point either, I thought it looked good, I was happy I paid it. I even gave him a tip on top of it. Now he said whenever I needed any touch ups message him and hell schedule me. So I message him. Its been about 4 or so months and I say hey, Ive got some time can I get in to get a touch up and he says yeah, its been over 30 days Im going to have to charge you.Ok Im sorry I have never had an artist on any of my tattoos tell me their permanent body art is only covered for 30 days. I have gin eback to artists after YEARS and they are always happy to see me and give me a touch up. Now I ALWAYS tip a few hundred dollars. ALWAYS. I think its just good etiquette. But to tell me I need to come back in 30 days (which he didnt) is ludicrous. It wasnt even fully healed after 30 days (which is a bit abnormal to me as well). And on top of that he wants to charge me more to do the touch up on HIS OWN MISTAKES and yes there are mistakes in it. Its not fully filled in where it needs to be, theres lines that blow out into areas that shouldnt have any ink. Some of the pattern is distorted but its all stuff I can live with, but it needs to be touched up. I will not be using this shop for any more ink ever again. Neither will my friends and family thar have had ink here before. Truly unprofessional.

I received a tattoo from Robert today and I love how it turned out. He was very detailed as we walked through the consultation appointment and highly professional during the actual tattoo. Robert is well versed in every genre of art and adaptable to any design element.

My husband and I worked with Robert the owner today (on his day off) and he knocked it out of the park. Not only did he change his schedule for us, he did amazing work with the lightest touch. Brought my 15m old to get ears pierced. The piercer, Robert was professional and incredibly patient with the baby. The whole experience took about 15-20 mins as it was a baby but everything was sterile, clean and a comfortable environment.

Me and two of my friends were wanting to get piercings after work. We happened to show up when they were closed and called the number on the door to see when they would be open again. Robert let us know he was close by and would be there in 20 minutes to open up and help us out. My sister and I got sister tatoos at HCA yesterday and we are both super happy. Being native Texans and raised country, we got a heart done where one side is a fish hook and the other a deer antler. Its a super cool design. The shop is neat and clean and run very professionally. The artist has been creating for over 20 years on an international level at times. This was my 8th tatoo and I wont hestitate to come back here for my 9th, 10th and beyond. A gem of a place in the Hill Country.

We stopped in and got a good consultation for my sons first responder tattoo and Robert did a great job for my sons first tattoo! Me and my daughter-in-law also got tattoos that weekend!
