Wave n Pave Tattoo

It was like hanging with family. So hospitable and genuinely kind. My wife and felt at home from yhe moment we were greeted. Then after visiting we get down to business. Im from Missouri and a lifetime Boston Celtics fan. No way Im visiting Boston without getting a tattoo representing my team. I was there 2 days after they won banner 18. I scheduled this appointment in March. It was destiny!

First time here and my experience was well - I came in with a piece of work and of course being the great artist she is , she didn’t wanna copy someone’s else’s work. So she took the time to come up with similar ideas 💡 and put a spin on it 🙌🏾🚀. The results was amazing and I’m still getting great comments on the art piece ‼️‼️‼️ I had this done almost about 6+ months ago.I really love turtles 🐢 lol so definitely would come back here for that piece ‼️🎇🎆

My husband and I got tattoos from Carissa while we were on vacation. The atmosphere of the shop is very welcoming. We related to Carissa so much while have conversations with her. She is down to earth and fun. We wish we would have met her when we first arrived on vacation. We recommend Wave N Pave 100%.

The entire process went off without any issues. I will definitely be coming back to get my next one when the time comes around.Booking my appointment was super easy. I submitted the online form and got a response the same day to talk about what I wanted and to schedule my session with Carissa. Ellen was super helpful and responsive, making the process seamless. They helped me figure out the size, which was a bit bigger than I initially thought. I am so glad we sized it up!The day of, I parked right out front and went right it. The waiting space was comfortable, bright, and comforting, full of art and other things to looks at. When Carissa was ready, we got started. She is charming and easy to talk to! The space was also clean and tidy.I felt very comfortable and well-taken care of. At the end of the session, she cleaned me up and sent me on my way with clear instructions on the after care. She also made sure I knew that if I had any questions or issues, not to hesitate to reach out - I really appreciate their dedication to their customers!

So I went to see Carrisa for my first tattoo on Friday the 19th and wow was I impressed with her artwork. And I went back today on the 22nd for my second tattoo and just like my first time, Carrisa didn’t disappoint. She is absolutely amazing at what she does and as you can see I got the scorpion done on Friday and the dragon done today and I am literally in love with these tattoos. Thank you so Much Carissa and Ellen for doing this for me and I will be back in the near future. I highly recommend going to Wave N Pave for your tattoos. 😊

Ellen and Carissa make every tattoo and absolute joy. I got my half sleeve and a foot cover up there and am beyond happy with both. Will definitely be back there for any tattoo I get. Carissa is one of the most talented women I know. 10/10 would recommend

I cannot say enough AMAZING things about my experience at Wave N Pave. The shop is outstanding from top to bottom, from the moment you walk through the front door with a warm and inviting greeting, which was step 1 of erasing my nerves going into my very first experience of getting a tattoo. Ellen was so friendly, and very funny, and made me feel right at home while awaiting my turn. My parents and I recently lost our treasured and beloved dog, and decided to get matching tattoo’s of her paw print. Carissa was amazing from start to finish with bringing this image to life for us. She not only has amazing chair side manner, but she went above and beyond to make us all feel so at ease, and was extremely helpful with making sure we knew all of our post care instructions. I 100% will recommend this shop and the amazing people who work here,to any and all of my family, friends and work colleagues. Thank you so much Carissa and Ellen for this amazing experience, and I cannot wait to visit with you guys again!

Carissa was amazing & so kind! She made my first experience getting a tattoo a great one. My tattoo came out amazing and I couldn’t be happier. It’s a lovely tribute to my mom. Booking with Ellen was also great, she made sure to get me in with times that worked for my schedule. Great family run place, I would recommend it to anyone!

I was in town for the Boston Marathon and decided to get my first tattoo and long story short, I couldn’t have been happier with the outcome. Both Carissa and Ellen were very welcoming and eased the nervousness that I had coming into their shop. Carissa made the experience of my first tattoo a memorable one and I can’t speak highly enough of her and the shop. It’s safe to say that if I ever decide to get another tattoo, I’ll be coming back to Boston visit Wave & Pave. Lastly, the tattoo was exactly what I had in mind and she crushed it!!!

My mom, sister and I all wanted to get tattoos on our trip down to Boston. Carissa fit us in and was so kind and accommodating. I got a tattoo from here last week and could not be more pleased with the results and entire process! The tattoo artist, Carissa, is so incredibly talented and made my tattoo come to life! I got flowers on the back of my arm and the line work, shading, and colors are so realistic and masterfully done. Carissa was professional, thoughtful, down to earth, and a good listener. I truly felt like I was catching up with an old friend! This wasnt my first tattoo but I still appreciated receiving a small handout on tattoo after-care and Carissa made sure to go over this with me. In addition, Ellen was so helpful and kind throughout the scheduling process. Meeting her in person was even better, she is a blast to be around and you can tell how dedicated she is to making sure you feel welcome. This place is the real deal! Im already thinking of my next tattoo so I can go back!

I cannot even express how much I love this place! Carissa has done 3 tattoos for me 4 for my sister and too many to count for my husband.Besides being an amazing—and remarkably fast—artist, Carissa and Ellen (her mom/ receptionist) are just an absolute pleasure to spend time with. They’re upbeat, interesting and always have me laughing non-stop! At my recent visit, Ellen pointed out all these changes and updates they’ve made at the shop (from products to decor), which were wonderful additions. I’ll never get a tattoo from anyone else.

Pave n Wave is hands down the best tattoo parlor in Boston. I felt so at home at this quaint little shop. It was my first time getting a tattoo and I will alwaya come back for others. Carissa and her mom Ellen are absolutely amazing!! I called to see if I could come in for a tattoo I wanted to get my son’s signature, he had passed away and it was important to me!! Wave n pave is the place to go. Carissa and Mark and Ellen, run such a great shop. Always clean, cozy and any one will feel welcomed coming in for the first time. When i got my first tattoo, I was nervouse buy Wave n Pave takes all the nerves away, they will accomindate you in any way, weither they let you listen to your own music, watch movies, or even give you a break to try local food. After getting my first tattoo, carissa has now given me a sleeve and more! Best shop in boston!

I first learned of Wave n Pave Tattoo while I was traveling internationally working Tattoo Conventions. A couple of my friends that are really well respected tattooers had done guest spots at the studio. I began to follow them on Instagram and Facebook. I was impressed by the high caliber of tattooing that was coming out of the shop and also the fun family environment that is apparent even through the businesses social media.When I finally got to visit the shop and meet the everyone it exceeded all expectations. The business is on the second floor and doubles as a surf and skate shop. You are welcomed with a cozy lobby that has all of the skate decks, surfboards, and supplies. Tattoo consultations are done here while the actual tattoo process happens in one of three private rooms beyond the lobby. This gives the shop a very unique speakeasy feel to it.I am lucky to have been asked to be a part of this team. You can email for an appointment or call and leave a message. Great place and great people! Klarrissa (hope I spelt your name right if not Im so sorry lol) was amazing. She took my idea and made it so much better! Shop is clean, theyre so friendly. Spend 2 and half hours there and didnt even realize it. Highly recommended and definitely not going anywhere else from this point on when I need a tattoo!
