Today was my second amazing experience at this tattoo shop. My artist Jon was so precise and so focused that the artwork that I chose was perfect. He was very precise and efficient with his time. I didnt feel rushed and I felt completely comfortable and had a great experience from check in to check out. I highly recommend the shop. Im in my late 40s and have gotten two tattoos in the last year. I felt super comfortable and felt very welcomed. I highly recommend going to Visual Expressions.

My tattoo artist there is Leo. My husband and I both go to him. He is phenomenal. He is such a great artist and visualist he can really make you a request come to life. Everyone in the shop is Very friendly. All the artists in their have their workstation decorated and it is really cool to see all their different personalities

Went in and had my spetum redone due to a wrongful peircing the first time from somewhere else. Ebony knew EXACTLY what she was doing!!! Very precise! Im in love with it. The building is clean and welcoming. Everyone is friendly and they listen to what you want. I cant wait to get a new tatoo with one of the artists!!! 5 stars all day!!! I hughly recommend Visual Expressions! Our new go to shop 🖤

Yoo this place is sick. I love the staff here they’re honestly funny and chill makes the experience much more pleasurable especially if you have a longer session. Talented artists, awesome waiting room, and good vibes. Would highly recommend to anyone as this is my sixth tat and probably had the most chill time there than anywhere else.

My granddaughter and I went in to get tattoos of each other’s birth flower… Jeramy was amazing, he was pleasant and had nice conversations with him and the place was absolutely to me and my granddaughter very clean. Very happy with the outcome.

Great place! Very clean facility and great decore through out. The staff/ artist are knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. They were easy to talk to and were very informative of all my questions and concerns. I never felt pressure to make a decision. Very satisfied with the sterile environment of their private work areas. I felt comfortable and welcomed right from the start. Great place. Will definitely come again and highly recommend!

Jada is an amazing artist and person! He took in all of my thoughts and ideas and worked with me to create my masterpiece and then he let his hands and heart do the talking from there. I am forever grateful!!! I LOVE my tattoo!!!

Usually I don’t leave reviews but i can’t believe how over priced and unprofessional this place is . Me and my 2 friends went to go get tattoos they were walk in no appointments and we all showed them our designs and they told us they had time and could do all of them . Long story short my friends got their tattoos and I couldn’t get mine because of lack of time . Honestly didn’t care about that part to much . What really set me off is that my friend got a tiny rose behind her ear and they charged 160$ for something that is worth maybe 70$ . This was absurd and i won’t be coming back .

Overcharges for jewlery changes. $40 for jewlery (which is stainless steel not titanium btw) and $20 for the service… outrageous. i have 11 facial piercings done by different places and never have i ever heard of a $60 jewlery change! ive have my eyebrow and vertical labret done here and it cost less than the jewlery change!

Came here for an event put on by the Misfit Mamas and got a tattoo done by Jon. He did an awesome job!! He was very personable and really took the time to do exactly what I wanted! I will 100% be coming back to this shop for my next tattoo and will be bringing my husband for his as well! The shop was super clean, everyone was so nice. Thanks, guys, for an awesome experience!

I come all the way from South Carolina to get tattooed here. Leo is one of the most talented artists I have met. Everyone in the shop is incredibly nice and friendly. I havent had any work done by the other artists but what I have seen they are all incredibly talented.10/10 plan on going again.

This place is amazing! As of October of 2022 the new owner has taken this place and revamped it. Everyone has such a great vibe now, and I couldnt reccomend it more! :)

I recently had a small sentimental tattoo done. I am very pleased with the artist’s work and how it turned out. He was no doubt very talented.That being said, from the moment I walked in and interacted with him, I felt like I was a bother to him. He had sketched something from a photo I had emailed and it was not at all what I had in mind. From that moment on, he seemed annoyed with me and my input on getting it the way I wanted. I actually considered leaving before going through with it because I felt ashamed by his reaction. In the end he got it the way I wanted and was kinder during the tattooing process. His first impression however was unprofessional.

Damian was wonderful to work with!!! I highly highly recommend him as a piercer! When scheduling my appointment for a nose piercing, I shared that I was anxious and he told me not to worry and that he would walk me step by step through the procedure. True to his word, he was both patient and kind for the duration of my appointment. He answered all of my questions/concerns and made me feel at peace. I cannot sing enough of his praises! I love my new piercing!

I got my belly button pierced here yesterday, it was so quick, easy, extremely well priced and all the workers were so friendly. They explained the whole process with aftercare and made it an overall great experience.

The guy who pierced my Medusa was very nice and friendly. The piercing itself was very quick and I appreciate that. I don’t enjoy a lot of small talk as an anxious person, and it was nice to get in and out. Although I’ve had plenty of piercings, there wasn’t much about after care told other than the washing directions, but like I said I’ve had plenty of them done before and he was aware of this. I would recommend them to my friends :)

I absolutely adore Paola, Lee & Will. I’ve been coming here since I moved to Connecticut and I couldn’t of asked for a better staff. They are all so welcoming and friendly, not to mention SUPER CLEAN & well priced. I’ve gotten several tattoos from Paola and she free handed some of my work and I’m in love with my thigh piece and currently working on a cover up on my chest. I recommend them to anyone and everyone that’s looking for a clean and well priced tattoos shop. Also, I’ve gotta two nose piercings and septum by Lee and he’s just an all around great person and all my piercings are in perfect condition!!! Love these guys ❤️🤞🏻

Went to get a piercing today. Definitely make sure you call and make an appointment. The piercer is very nice, knowledgeable, and laid back. He made me feel very comfortable for my first piercing. Visual expressions can be a little pricey depending on your budget but other than that its a great place to get pierced.

I went there this past Sunday March 14, 2021, and got my very first tattoo. Mike Dunn, the artist, assured me that it would not hurt, and was very nice and calm about it. The environment was fun and clean, and a great place to be at. I live in Massachusetts, but will definitely keep going back there for a long time! 10/10 recommend!

From the outside it looks a bit dark and scary. But its nice and chill inside. Very relaxed place to get a tattoo or piercing. The two guys I met were nice. The guy who pierced my ear did a great job, answered all of my questions, was very professional. I would totally go back. I would recommend this place for anyone at any age for a piercing. So much more sterile and professional than some teenager with a piercing gun down at the mall.

I have been getting tattooed by Jayse for over 10 years, he has always taken my ideas and made them better than I could have imagined. If youre looking for a bold tattoo with some sick color work hes your man. I happily traveled 2 hours to see him at Visual Expressions.

I was not only pleased with my tattoo I was also pleased with the service. Jada is a veteran artist and easy to talk to. Staff was professional but personable. I have social anxiety but felt comfortable. Will definitely be back for more tattoos.

Went here to get my first tattoo from Paola, amazing experience! She was super nice and already had 3 designs waiting for me to pick from. It’s a clean and well kept place. Would and have recommended to anyone and everyone, already have my second tattoo apt scheduled with her.

I had a very good experience at visual expressions. All of the staff were very welcoming and made me feel very comfortable! Simone was my artist and he absolutely blew my tattoo out of the water! It was very nerve racking getting a portrait done but I am so happy I put my thoughts in Simone’s hands. I am beyond completely satisfied! I will defiantly be continuing getting ink through Visual Expressions!!!

Love Craig! This tattoo artist is very talented and friendly. I have been here a couple of times for fresh tattoos and a cover up and I have always been more than satisfied. I would recommend Craig to anyone!

Everyone at the shop is so nice! Feels like family every time I walk in. All the artist are extremely talented- I worked in particularly with Craig! Im super satisfied with the time he took to cater to my idea, and his execution was flawless. I will not be going anywhere else.

I went there and the girl Tattoo artist, charged me $200 dollars for less then a hour works, when I complaint about it she said sometimes she charge for the art, if you told me you charge 120 an hour you can’t change the price, and wasn’t a new tattoo she was putting a little color and shade to a tattoo she did the week before, I spent more then 700 dollars in a bad quality tattoo and plus she charged me to much for 50 min work. Never again I’m going there. You can notice she is a beginner. I’m so sad about my arm now looking another place to finish my arm. No recomendable at all. At least with the girl. The others tattoo artist are more professional, DONT GET ANY TATTOO FROM THE GIRL WORK THERE Amanda She’s not professional she said charge 120 hourly but when she like to charge more she does and it’s not fair

Antonio did mine and my sons and not only did the tattoos come out better than i hoped but he charged me less than originally agreed only.... he was awesome!!!!!!

Jayse was absolutely fantastic!!! I cannot get over how good his line work is, and that’s saying something, considering how good his shading is! Overall, super recommend visual expressions and jayse in particular! (Photo is not finished, I have to go back)

Very spacious and neat shop. All the artists are beyond talented and friendly. The waiting area has a variety of work done by the artist themselves that u can scheme through to get an idea of what ure getting urself into. :)- This review coming from someone who hates/fears needles, my first tattoo wasnt so bad. Jada made me feel comfortable with conversation & was very patient with me.

Projected four hour session was waaaaayyyyyy under that. Not rushed, very detailed, and it came out AMAZING. I WENT TO ANTONIO- more realism type of guy. !! Cool guy for sure and well deserved credit to him!!!!

Called on the phone to see if we could come in for a tattoo for my husband and myself. The guy who answered the phone said “sure, come on down. We have had a cancellation and the artist is just standing around.” I explained it was a complex tattoo and that it would take time. He said no problem and that he might not have time to do both of ours but at least he could do my husbands. We drove 30 minutes to get there and showed the artist what we wanted. Another person came in so now there were 3 of us waiting. After talking to us the artist told us we would have to come back. He acted as if we were rushing something and he didn’t want to rush. He wanted to think about it. We have several tattoos and don’t rush into making decisions. We explained what we had talked about on the phone and he said sorry but he can’t do it. He said we could come back another time. We explained that if we left we would not be back. He said ok. Very bad way to grow a business. This place has no integrity. So glad to not give them my money.

Piercer was amazing. So friendly and personable, helped me decide exactly what I wanted. Gentle and caring about making sure I was comfortable. Did four piercings for me and pain was minimal. Highly recommended!

Love my new tattoo. Visual Expressions is pretty nice. The only artist I go to is James Rosa!!! Hes very talented, professional, and hygiene is top notch. I do recommend.

Always have had a good experience with the people there. All my piercings have been done there and are fantastic, and I love my tattoo. Ive been going there since I was 15 to get pierced, and dont plan on stopping. The people there are kind and friendly

Ive had nothing but great experiences at visual expressions. Ive had piercings done by Ali there and a full sleeve by Katrina Peters. Ive been fortunate enough to watch the other artists there as well and Ive only seen top of the line work. I highly recommend Visual Expressions.

Great artist... only thing I wasnt happy about was that we submitted our sketches a week in advance as requested and the day of was informed they hadnt received them but in all actuality they did and we had to wait almost 2 hours for the sketches to be drawn out... otherwise it would be 5 stars!! I got my second Tat there way b4 2009 so i felt comfy returning for my 3rd and 4th... I will return again soon...

I came here about 10 years ago to get a genital piercing. I dont remember the piercers name, but she was great and helped me feel calm while she was preparing me for the piercing. I dont know if she is there anymore, but she was great.

I went in the shop after being recommended by MANY people! I was so excited to get my piercing and my friend wanted to ask about a tattoo and just to be clear i called TWICE to verify no appointment had to be made and that the person was available (girl who does piercings Alicia) i cant understand why she was so rude other people at the shop looked embarrased and she basically refused to do a piercing said she was too busy she didnt even say hi when i said hi as she walked by even tho there was only 2 people in the shop already getting serviced and 2 waiting. I made sure before i walked out they knew i was embarrassed and let down and never expected that and everyone who recommended this place to me will know how awful i was treated. Thanks to her i will never again walk in that place or let anyone try to say to me how nice they are there! Bull crap

I had come here to get my septum pierced after getting my nostril pierced about 2 years prior with a different piercer and my experience was great, no pain, perfect positioning and very polite, she unfortunately doesn’t work there anymore and the piercer who did my septum piercing obviously didn’t know what he was doing. Beforehand I had asked him if he pierced through cartilage or soft tissue (the sweet spot) and he said he never pierced through cartilage for septum piercings. I did research previously on septum piercings and know that there is a specific part of the soft tissue in the nose where it is supposed to be. The outcome was that it was in the completely wrong place, so low it was barely in my nose and I was left in extreme pain during and after. I asked him if he could redo the piercing higher and he said that it was “mixing blood” and that the only way it could be done higher is through cartilage, which I know is not true at all. Then I proceeded to ask if I could come back another day and asked if he needed my information and a note so that when I came back everything would be fine, but he said no just come back in, meaning he expected me to pay again to have my piercing done correctly. I decided not to come back after seeing that he was not experienced enough to do my septum piercing properly the first time and was not professional about taking down my information. He was a dirty blonde and smoked, I do not recommend at all. This is how my piercing turned out… I took it out about 2 hours later because of how embarrassing and painful it was.

10/10 the customer service immaculate , the piercer EBONY very professional, made my experience very comfortable . She made the experience smooth

I wouldn’t recommend walk ins. The artist who did mine I couldn’t even tell he was an artist he was loud and invasive. I went in and showed a picture of what I wanted but he said he wouldn’t do it that way and did it totally different on top of that he charged me $100 for a tattoo that took maybe 30 minutes and it’s been maybe a week and it looks terrible ! Would never go back I shouldn’t have even said yes when he said he couldn’t do the one I wanted. It was an impulse decision and now I have to pay someone to cover it up

Yesterday I received a tattoo by Craig and he did not deliver what I asked of him. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he disregarded it and proceeded to do what he wanted. He then went over a tattoo that I didnt give him permission to. He is arrogant and doesnt give a care about the satisfaction of the customers. And I still gave him a $20 tip knowingly because of COVID-19. Smh, do not go to him. Hes TRASH.

First time I went here they told me to use antibacterial soap for an industrial piercing, which is one of the worst and most damaging ways to clean a piercing. The second time, I went in to get a tongue piercing and called ahead, and they said they could do it with parental consent since I was 16. When I went in they said it was CT law for no body piercings under 18, which is completely false. Body piercings are legal under 18 as long as the child has parental consent, which in this case, I did. Very disappointed.

I had gone in for a tattoo of my grandfathers initials. Simone was the one who helped me out. He helped me pick a font and lettering. He was excellent for answering my questions and dealing with me. I will definitely be going back.

My daughter and I got our tattoos here and scheduling was easy, James our artist is great, and we even needed a touch up and the process was very easy and accomodating :)

Dude named lee or something did my medusa after eating pizza didnt even wash his dirty hands but slide them into some gloves. cleaned my lip with one alcohol pad and then pierced me with a labret two times way to small. worse pain in my life i couldnt take it anymore after 3 days of excruciating pain to the point i couldnt sleep i had to lay down to take the pressure OFF nd hot showers my face felt like it was ripping off literally. i went back to this establishment not only had they acted like they didnt rememeber me ( after 3 days and talking non stop when i first had came )but they also looked at me like i was crazy for even questioning their work ethic he refused to even take a look with gloves on he inspected it from threee spaces bck n claimed my lip was not swollen n it would go down with time . i was ready to have the er take it out but luckily i had to gone down to pelicans in hartford ct where they told me my lip was spliting. and i had to pay additional 20 bucks for new jewlery . swelling went down the same day he lied n said my lip was all good. after all that i called and told him i was unhappy not a care in the world did he have nor even a sorry or come in and we can areange something . 60$ absouletly the worse piercing i ever had , thanks lee 🤨🖕🏿 dirty plce DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY,SORRY I DIDNT SEE THE SIGNS AND TURN AWAY MYSELF!!!

I traveled all the way from MA to get my piercings done here and I must say it was a very good experience Alicia was very friendly to me made me feel comfortable she was as quick as possible and did an amazing job I will most certainly be returning with some friends thank you Alicia

Lee was very professional in helping with my daith piercing as I always am able to change the jewelry tonight I couldnt do it. Rushed over and Lee took really good care of me.

They have great tattoo artist its very clean tattoo parlor , they do awesome work they are very friendly they give you full instructions on to care for the tattoo, they have a beautiful waiting room while you wait for your appointment Im going back for another tattoo there .they also have a ver good piercer shes grate .
