I called early in the day and they had an appointment available same day which was awesome and very convenient. We got there and the service was great and my tattoo artist (Ron-but goes by Ronny) helped me make a design with images I had ready for him. He was fantastic! As this was my first tattoo I was nervous, but he helped me feel relaxed and I trusted he’d do a good job. If you go you will be thrilled I am completely satisfied with my results. ASK FOR RON!

Super friendly staff, clean studio. Came in with a design and less than a week later, I had my tattoo done. Ron was attentive, listened to what I wanted, super helpful. Highly recommend.

Ron was my artist. We first met for a consult and he listened to my ideas and took some notes. A few days before my appointment he sent over his images and they were perfect!Day of, he was great with explaining the process and making sure that everything was sanitized/clean. He was fun to talk with and of course, most importantly the work looks great. He gave great tips on aftercare as well.I’ve already scheduled my second appointment!

I came to canvas tattoo after the death of a sweet little boy, hoping to quickly get a memorial tattoo. Ron helped me right away and started drawing designs. My experience with Canvas was incredible. First, I went in and had a consultation with Joshua for a tattoo and then got my nose pierced by Nick. Both guys were incredibly professional and fun. They could tell I was a little nervous and took such great care of me. A few weeks later I went in for my tattoos with Joshua. These were my first tattoos ever and I was nervous. Joshua was very calming and made me feel so confident. The process was awesome and I am so grateful that this was my first experience getting a tattoo. Now I cant wait to get another one! Also, the guy at reception was so welcoming and kind. He took such good care of me and checked on me several times. I cant wait to go back for more tattoos!

Nick has been absolutely wonderful to work with. He did my vertical philtrum (jestrum), snakebites, high nostrils, and bridge.Hes has a very calming presence that makes the experience easy, and hes very knowledgeable. He also is quite fast at responding to emails if you have concerns.Not only is he good during the actual piercing experience, but all my piercings from him are continuing to heal well. I got the jestrum and high nostrils in September 2021 and the bridge and snakebites in February 2022. I am also very impressed that he was able to pierce my bridge because I dont have the best anatomy (I dont have a lot of pierceable tissue there).Hell tell you to come back to downsize your piercings--LISTEN TO HIM. Its so important to have properly fitting jewelry in your piercings. The extra length can cause irritation because it can wiggle around.Overall fantastic! Thanks, Nick! ☺️

Needed my jewelry swapped and there are no piercing shops near my house. I called and they could fit me in same day. Nick was great, he gave me more info about my post sizing and got me juat the right fit.I would totally go back!

Edit- I took it down to 4 stars. The piercing is 5 star service! Go for piercing! I was disappointed in the tattoo artist. We came in for a consultation last year and then scheduled a second after the artist had time to come up with something. He was late to the consultation and seemed unprepared. He told me that he would email me with his final ideas. I never received the email. I checked multiple times and checked my Spam. We ultimately went to another artist at another shop who gave me a fantastic tattoo. So, I am both happy that he never emailed and disappointed at the service at the same time.Original review- The shop has a great atmosphere. I came in to get jewelry and change jewelry for my nose piercing. The gentleman at the front desk and the piercer are both very cool, considerate, and unpretentious (I hate tattoo/piercing shops with a cooler-than-thou attitude). Nick was super professional, hygenic, and skilled. He helped me change my nose piercing jewelry without charging and gave good after care advice. I will be returning to get my next piercing and will recommend it to others.

Everything was really easy and smooth staff was great and the fact that they help you with upkeep and swapping piercings and everything is awesome too theyll even Galvanize your piercings if you want for free to change color!

Wonderful experience. Clean, great customer service, and so supportive. We had my daughter pierced at a different shop. That shop closed down, I didnt know what to do!!!! Canvas helped us with what we needed!! I am so thankful for them!!!! You must make an appointment, but that creates a nice and calm atmosphere. I would go there again!!!!

I go to canvas tattoo in Eden prairie for all my piercing needs. Nick is so knowledgeable and wonderful. Hes patient, and makes sure you understand everything before starting. I love how jewelry is able to be colored there, and is always guaranteed.

Nick does a great job! Had my helix done somewhere else and it never healed, let it close up and went to have it done at Canvas by Nick. It healed no issues! Also went back to get more work done. He is also very informative on how you to take care of the piercings. Highly recommend!

Nick did a great job on my septum piercing! He is working by private appointment, the place was sanitized before and after my appointment, everyone was wearing a mask, my temperature was taken at the door, etc. Covid precautions are taken seriously here. Nick is knowledgeable and professional. He works/speaks calmly, which helped me feel calm, and he performed the piercing skillfully and quickly. I experienced minimal discomfort, and I am very happy with the result!

Ive been here 3 times to see Nick, and he is great! He takes his time to explain what you can expect from the piercings. Then does a great job with the piercings also! The shop itself is really nice, the guy at the front desk is nice, and the shop is clean!

Nick pierced my 16 years olds noise this evening. He was on time, explained everything in detail, was kind and patient. After the piercing, he explained after care, provided his phone number and gage #. He said call this number with any questions or concerns. He again went over after care verbally, a second time. I was so impressed with his attention to detail and willingness to take the extra time. The place was very clean and sterile, from appearance. He cleaned the area and was very careful while handling needle. We will definitely go back.

I don’t usually leave reviews but WOW was I blown away by the kind and helpful staff at Canvas Tattoo Studio. I went to Canvas Tattoo Studio to get my earlobes pierced. Nick does body piercings there, and he truly reflects the incredible abilities of an artisan professional. He’s easy to talk to, explains thoroughly what he is doing and why he is doing it, and he goes in depth on how to handle aftercare. Not only that, but he is extremely patient and a great listener - a great human being in general! He gave me extra backings for my earrings just in case mine fell off & carefully answered all of my questions with in depth responses. Such a great experience, I will definitely be recommending this studio to my friends!

I brought my daughter who is afraid of needles in to see Nick to get her ears pierced. He was patient, kind and really took his time to make her feel comfortable. He explained everything clearly to her on how to take care of her ears. I also bought nose studs from him and he took his time making sure I found something that l loved. He has a great selection of jewelry at a great price. I live 40 min away and he is the only person I will go to. I highly highly recommend Nick!!!

I called ahead to get an appointment for a piercing and they were very helpful. The actual appointment went well too as they made sure I had all the necessary info and was comfortable. I was in and out of there pretty quickly and can contact them if I have any issues.

Megan is absolutely fantastic. She is very talented and fun to talk to. She started a shoulder cap for me and will be completing it in a future session. She helped me through any anxiety I was feeling beforehand and made the 4 hour session I had relatively painless. She is very good about communicating what she is doing and makes sure you are satisfied with the work she is doing.The shop itself is clean and everyone there seems very friendly! When you walk in, there is a nice gentleman greets you! He is very polite and professional. The place was clean, and they offer water, gatorade and pop for 2$ or 3$. Can’t remember. Anyways, The vibe is it. The vibe was calming. The tattoo artist said Hi to us as we were led back to the room. My daughter came to get a septum piercing done by Nick. Nick was very friendly. He gave very clear instructions to my daughter. Nick answered all her questions. He was very good at explaining the steps he was doing, while piercing her. He was very clean and sanitary throughout the whole procedure. We will be definitely back for more services. I recommend this place to anyone! Thankyou!!

I went to Nick for my two cartilage piercings. He was polite and professional and it was obvious that he was skilled in his work. I just went back to get my earrings changed out and, again, he was a pleasure and it was painless. He could tell my piercings had been struggling to heal so he taught me a few tricks to help the healing process and even gave me a complimentary emu oil, which is like $8 to buy - so kind! If you’re looking to get anything pierced, he’s the guy!

Nick pierced my daughters earlobes. She was a bit apprehensive and asked many questions. Nick was factual and calm, and my daughter said he was patient and really nice. She loves her piercing! We had a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend Nick at Canvas.

I just got an eyebrow piercing here. It was my first piercing and needles tend to make me lightheaded so I was nervous, but Nick was fantastic. He walked me through everything before and the actual piercing didnt hurt much at all and barely bled. He answered all my questions and was super nice. The only downside was no care kit, but thats fine for the reasonable price and clear aftercare instructions. I will absolutely go back in the future!

Nick pierced my 8 year old daughter’s ears - it was her first piercing and she was very nervous. Nick was extremely patient with her and really made her experience so much better by talking with her about what was going to happen and giving her time between piercing each ear. We asked to see Megan, who I highly recommend, because her work on the website was stellar. She just happened to have an opening due to a cancellation and I jumped all over it. I forgot to catch his name but the piercer at the EP location was super helpful in choosing new jewelery for my nose piercing. He was extremely patient (I can never decide! And they have so many awesome options!)

I had my tragus pierced by Nick here a few weeks ago and I had a great experience! Everything was very clean and the staff was nice. I walked in and was done within 20 minutes. Nick was very open to answering questions which I thought was very helpful! The only downfall is that they did not offer an aftercare kit.

I cant speak directly for tattoos beyond I have had a few questions answered by the artists as I considered a tattoo. All their responses answered all of them.What I can speak to is the complete professionalism of the body modification person Nick. I have had piercings in the past to less than expected results. Everything I have had done by nick has met or exceeded the accuracy and perfection you would want from a piercing. Completely amazing studio.

Got my nose pierced by Nick today and it was awesome. He was patient with my indecisiveness on placement and explained every thing very thouroughly. Would definitely reccomend him and would come back for another piercing in a heartbeat. It was reasonably priced, very professional and clean.

Went in to buy some jewelry for piercings and the kid at the desk was extremely unprofessional and rude lacking any customer service values. Besides the rudeness we could not purchase any merchandise bc the piercer was not in???? Who knew? Just irritating when you drive far for an item and to be treated like that. Their inventory is separate and self owned by each person working there.... which makes sense but for the kid at the desk to be so arrogant and loud enough for everyone to stare was ridiculous.This is the second or third time we’ve had a poor experience there so disappointed and won’t be recommending them any longer.Who wants to go a business and feel like that?!

Nick, at the Eden Prairie location was great with my niece! Gave her several tips for healing process. We left very happy and well taken care of. Front desk lady could have been a smidge more friendly and welcoming, though.

I got a tattoo 2 years ago from a different shop in full color for $180 and its the size of my fist and Im a decent sized guy. Here I paid $160 for 6 skinny black numbers that cold fit on my finger. I was told the prices were awesome here... but are they?

Its clean, its nice, and its the same general price range as the other shops in the area. Having said that, Joshua is fantastic. He is super nice, a very talented artist, and a fantastic tattoo artist. Hes done 2 of my tattoos now, and Ill probably never go anywhere else

Ive spent the better part of 3 years looking for a Tattoo artist that would be willing to FIX rather then cover up a less then stellar tattoo. My wife and I were on our way to the MPLS Tattoo convention in January when we met Megan Sierra Vickory in the elevator exiting the underground parking lot. After spending the better part of 15 minutes walking to the convention while talking to her we parted ways but not before getting her business card. Long story short I did some research on Megan Sierra and decided that I would have her do the rework on my tattoo. Hands down the BEST experience Ive ever had when getting tattooed! I plan to have her do the rest of my currently planned tattoos! I LOVE her work!

Let me revise this…they had phone issues. I did get in touch with Nick, piercing artist, and he helped me out repeatedly. He’s a terrific fellow so I’ve decided to adopt him!

Currently in the process of getting the tattoo I got here removed after it was spelt incorrectly even after the stencils were spelt correctly..wasnt anything extremely difficult it was a 4 letter name. The artist still made me pay and his only solution was come back in once its healed and go over it with skin color ink totally skipped that route and to make things even better after my 6th removal session it was discovered the artist didnt even use pure black ink so it will take even longer to remove, now out $600 and counting after what should have been a $70 remembrance tattoo. Save your money and go elsewhere.
