Professional and charismatic is the best way to describe it.Phil is very attentive to detail. His consultation is all about figuring out, What is important to you, Why you are getting this tattoo and Who you are, in order to narrow down exactly what it is that youre wanting for an art piece.Next, youll get to spend time with execution of placement. So you can get a great idea of how big, how small or proper location of the tattoo before it becomes permanent.He will either go the stencil route or he will free hand a design with marker and pen, to completely give you a custom piece. HE IS A PHENOMEMAL ARTIST!Afterwards, during the tattoo, he has a light and professional touch. You can always tell a good artist from a bad one, based on whether or not they have a heavy hand - causing pain/bleeding/or scarring. All of which, I did not experience with Phil. Slow, smooth and methodical. Absolute top notch.I found myself constantly laughing during the appointment. Both from comments from Phil and Kristin. All while, being comforted with periodical questioning of, How you doing? Need anything?.The conversations that were had were uplifting and of the utmost enjoyment. Leaving you better in spirit and with a tattoo that youll LOVE FOREVER.I could not be happier with my cover-up.Ill be coming here many many times to come.I have found myself my artist of choice.HIGHLY RECOMMEND. 👍

The staff is welcoming and kind, the enviroment is laid back, relaxed, and very clean. High quality tattoos and service. I definitely reccommend this place and will be back.Heres the details:My husband went here first, and I was so impressed with the quality of the work he came home with that I had to try this place out. We booked for a couples session, and they had us all day. It was an amazing and truly unforgettable experience.Upon entry of the shop, you are warmly welcomed by Kristen and Phil. You can see that this couple has genuinely put their heart into this shop. The walls are neatly decorated with Kristens amazing artwork, complete with shelves along the back wall with various sculptures and art from Kristen and other artists. Some are for sale, and others are sentimental pieces that this couple puts on display. Everything is clean and inviting.When it comes time to get tattooed, you are taken care of by Phil. The chair they sit you in is very comfortable, and most importantly everything is CLEAN! You are taken through the whole process and explained everything in detail. While getting tattooed, this couple makes sure that you are comfortable, and you are encouraged to take breaks when ever you need them. They check in on you to make sure youre doing alright, and they take time to get to know you and make you feel comfortable.Last night was my first time getting a tattoo at Freedom Tattoo. Not only am I extremely happy with my tattoo, but I had an amazing time with these two. Kristen and Phil are both so kind, welcoming, artistic, thoughtful, entertaining and funny! Ive never laughed so hard while getting a tattoo before, and Im not sure how Phil managed to get this tattoo looking as awesome as it does- but I am very impressed with both of these amazing people.I absolutely reccommend Freedom tattoo to anyone looking for top- teir tattoo experiences and art.

Hands down the best tattoo artist Ive ever been too. I have 8 tattoos and my last one was done by Phil and man did he far exceed my expectations. He hand drew my design using only my horrible sketch atlas reference to what I wanted and he brought it to life. Very clean and professional. I would recommend to anyone looking for a tattoo guy.
