Black Royale Tattoo Studio

I got a couple tattoos done by Mark a few years ago and he is very good! Keep in mind that he does do traditional style tattoos so his lines are very thick. With that being said, one of the tattoos he did on me blew out very quickly and I just wasn’t happy with the way it looked anymore. I am very disappointed because I spend a lot of money to come to well-known and highly reviewed shop. I ended up going to a different shop to get it fixed and it turns out the guy that took the time to fixed it was turned away to be an apprentice at Black Royale….Anywayyyyy…. if you’re looking to go to a trustworthy and reputable shop that does not hate on new tattoos artists who are just trying to learn I recommend Guardian of the Tat in owego! There are a few artists there and they all specialize in specific styles and pieces so you will not be let down :)

I got a tattoo from Jamie a long time ago when he was at his old shop. He is very precise and takes his time to make sure his art and what he is tattooing looks amazing and what the client wants. He always gives his opinion which I love, especially since at the time tattoos were new to me. During the tattoo he had to get up a few times because he was working the counter, which didn’t bother me at all, but he gave me a discount on price for all the interruptions and he makes great conversation during tattooing which helps makes things go a bit quicker. Highly recommend him. You get what you pay for and you get a great experience at the same time!!

I got a tattoo from mark in memory of my dad and everything from booking to getting the tattoo was very good experience place is very clean and mark is such a nice genuine guy if you are looking to get a tattoo in the area would highly recommend this place well worth the wait!

I had the honor of having Jamie tattoo a portrait of the dog I grew up with. I’m so in awe of how perfect it is. I was so comfortable that my four hour session flew by. I can’t wait for my next one!

Best tattoo shop around. Very clean and welcoming atmosphere. If your looking for quality work in the 607 area this is the place you have to go. Both Mark and Jamie are very detailed artists who can make your dream tattoo happen. I recently got a tattoo done by Jamie and it is the best tattoo I’ve ever had. I get compliments on it all the time. He really takes his time with his work and it shows that he loves what he does. It’s because of this that I’ll never go anywhere else!

I’m glad he was my first choice and got my friend and I in as soon as he had availability. I hear nothing but good things about Mark as well! A coworker got a tattoo done by him and it looks amazing. They both know what they are doing, I would never hesitate to go back!

I have had Mark work on a couple tattoos for me. i have been happy with the results. he did an amazing job taking my daughters handwriting and getting the work done. he also took a rough drawing i did and converted it into an amazing piece. highly recommend him and his shop. great place, great people.

The shop is clean comfortable and in general a pleasant place. Mark did an amazing job tattooing a candle burning at both ends. I have many tattoos I get the most compliments on this piece. Great lines,color and his dot shading technique is extremely unique for our area. Would highly recommend black Royale and the artists.

These 2 are very talented. Their work speaks for itself. Mark has always been amazing when I have been in the shop and was very professional when he tattooed me. I highly recommend both of these guys to anyone who would like great quality and e tattooed in an awesome atmosphere.

Nothing but good things to say about this place! My father and I got similar matching tattoos at the same time, Jamie did mine and Mark did my dads. They both turned out very well and we are beyond satisfied! It was also my first time getting tattooed! Next time I get tatted Im definitely coming here!

Highly recommend.Part of the tattoo experience is the relationship with the tattoo artist. I can only write directly about my tattoo experience with Mark Schmeiske. Mark is great to work with and helped me shape my ideas into the tattoo I wanted. I know I bugged the poor guy a lot as I worked through my ideas to get to the final tattoo. Mark handled my badgering well, and I am very satisfied with the end results. I get compliments all the time on the work he did.My 2nd experience with Black Royale Tattoo has been atypical for me. I presented a couple of tattoo ideas to Mark, and he suggested I consider a collaboration with Jamie Young for one particular idea. A collaboration bringing in Jamie’s hyper-realism with Mark’s stylized and old school leanings; two styles I really appreciate but hadn’t considered merging. Jamie agreed to the collaboration idea and I have the appointment in the books for both artists who are both going to work on the tattoo at the same time.This type of experience is why I continue to recommend Black Royale. Not only are they both talented artists, but they are also willing to work together to leverage each other’s talents without ego. The three of us were able to come up with a tattoo concept we are all excited about.As for the tattoo parlor, Jamie and Mark keep Black Royale very clean and open with plenty of parking.

Have had work done by both Mark, and Jamie I cannot speak highly enough of their attention to detail, dedication to their craft, and how personable both of them are, both my tattoos are going on 4-5 years old and still look as good as the day I got them done.Without a doubt two of the coolest guys around, and one of the cleanest, most hygienic studios in the game

I went to Mark with a very sentimental and meaningful vision after I spent lots of time researching artists and their work. Mark absolutely nailed it and I can’t thank him enough. This was my first collaboration with him but I won’t go to anyone else from here on out. Not only is he (and the shop) professional and clean, but you can tell just by talking with him how much of a genuine person he is. The day of my appointment, we shared some great conversation and laughs. I felt so comfortable as if I had known him for years. Even the process of going in and meeting with him to discuss the idea and make the appointment was quick and easy. Highly recommend this shop!

Mark came highly recommended by another local, well known tattoo shop. I spent about 2 weeks trying to find the right place, doing in shop visits, asking friends, etc. I definitely made the right choice. Mark and I spent a few days emailing back and forth about what I wanted before I stopped in for an in person consult. He addressed and reassured all of my concerns. This is a highly sentimental tattoo, and I wanted to make sure Mark was the right artist to do this. He got me in quickly, and wasted no time getting to work. He did have to resize and reposition the words to make it work. He did not, however, alter the handwriting or try to make it his own. He perfectly captured every shaky line, every loop, everything in the same manner my grandfather wrote it. I will cherish this tattoo forever. And have definitely found a new favorite tattoo artist for any future work I have done.The shop is small but clean, friendly, and in a good location. Parking is plentiful. Music was great.

I’m still so in loveee with my tattoo from Mark 🔥 I get so many compliments on it all the time. The shop is very nice and clean and they are so welcoming there. 10/10 recommend Mark and his shop! I haven’t been been tattooed by Jamie yet but I’ve only heard good things about him too! The only place i’ll go, they’re the best!

I got tattooed by Jamie on my 21st birthday 2017. He was very personable & listens to any concerns. I had an all day pass & he used every minute of it. He’s a cool dude & his work is amazing (in my opinion he is definitely the BEST around). I refuse to go anywhere else to get tattooed.

Mark did an AMAZING job on a tattoo for me! It has the most meaning and is the most treasured tattoo. Very simple as well. It’s my son’s name along with an actual print out of his heart beat. He got every single point of the EKG on there. Great job Mark!

There time and commitment to each person is unlike anywhere I have ever been. Both jamie and marks work is amazing. The level of skills they have is unbelievable and there attention to detail is crazy. They also give back to there community. When the first opened up they did a grand opening with free tattoo. Hundreds of people came out and they made sure each person that walked out with a tattoo. It was a amazing time and you got to meet some pretty awesome people

Went here for the first time in April to get tattooed by Jamie. I dont get color and wanted black and grey and Jamie Id the guy for it. I am very please with the end result and cant wait to get more done. I have not been tattooed by anyone else in the shop but if the artistry is on par with Jamie then its a win win all around. place is really. ice and everything is clean and inviting. cant wait to get back. highly recommend because this is on me for life and I dont regret a single second.

Do not book with mark made a appointment with me and he canceled on me 30 minutes prior saying he had a family emergency that he left the shop for the day (understandable ) until he posted him tattooing someone else at the time my appointment was supposed to be 🙄.. then i got blocked for no reason. Definitely wouldn’t recommend costumer service is NOT good at all. .

Best in the area at what they do. Jamie kills black and grey realism and Mark is the man at tight lines and color. No matter what you are looking to get one of them will get you the piece you want. Have work done by both of them and more to come.

Mark did a tattoo for me of my grandmas last birthday card that she gave me before she passed. The lines are crisp and amazing. The shop is very clean and the guys are so professional!
