Pennyroyal Tattoo

I wanted my first tattoo and Pennyroyal was HIGHLY recommended by many friends and family! I contacted Gil and he was amazing from the start! Super understanding of what I wanted and WoW!! Gil did his thing and it’s the most amazing first tattoo ever!! The detail and coloring is exactly what I wanted! The shop is super clean, and the staff is super chill! Gil was talking to me during the rough spots of the tattoo which made it easier for me! I highly recommend PENNYROYAL!!! 💜💜

Was looking to get a traditional Japanese sleeve done and came across them on Instagram. Contacted Henri and found him to be very responsive and helpful. Went for my first session was impressed by the cleanliness of the shop and professionalism of all the artists. Through the whole process Henri was very communicative so there were no surprises. I could not be happier with the final result. I would definitely recommend Pennyroyal weather it’s your first tattoo or your fiftieth.

I recently got a tattoo by Joe and unfortunately was extremely unhappy with the quality of the tattoo. Especially because it was done in memory of my brother it meant a lot to me and I felt he put minimal effort into it. The lines were uneven and the shading looked like it was drawn on with a pen. I was so disappointed every time I looked at it, I ended up having to get it redone a few weeks later at another tattoo shop. See before and after pictures. Sadly I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

The artists spend time to listen and get to know you to create your art!I am lucky to be close, to know one of the artists and have him prepare custom artwork for me - you will not be disappointed. I come from Boston to see Henri.. Im committed to driving 4.5 hours, getting a hotel the night before then seeing him the next day to get work and drive home 4.5hrs so that should tell you something. I had another artist start a Japanese themed leg sleeve and hated it so I was looking for someone that has that as a preferred genre and I found henri on IG.. he booked me after requesting some pictures of my leg currently, sent me some ideas and was more than happy to change things for me. Hes the sweetest guy and the other guys in the shop are all cool. Oh and I had my service dog with me which they had no issue with being there even though he did just lay there and sleep. Shop is extremely clean as well.

I got 2 tattoos from Gill and both came out perfect! He worked with me in terms of making sure I got what I wanted and did a fantastic job talking me through the process as it was my first tattoos. Everyone else in the shop was extremely nice and it was incredibly clean. I had a great experience and will definitely be going back.

The staff here was awesome, I had Joe a guest give me my first tattoo. It was a great experience, I love what I got, and Im excited for my upcoming tattoos. Everyone makes you feel warm and welcome, and their work is a amazing!

Gill at Pennyroyal was great to work with. He went out of his way to give me exactly what I wanted and made sure I was comfortable with every step of the tattoo process. The shop is super clean, too. I highly recommend Pennyroyal Tattoo and Gill Barnette!

I just got a beautiful tattoo of dogwood flowers on a branch by Gill Barnette, and I’m thrilled! Gill drew the design directly on my arm and proceeded to tattoo it in such gorgeous detail—it’s amazing! I’m already planning my next tattoo, and will definitely go back to Gill!

I can’t say enough good things about this shop. Each employee was helpful and accommodating. Taylor did a forearm piece for me and absolutely killed it. She was professional and friendly and is extremely talented at her work. I will definitely be going back and would recommend Penny Royal to anyone.

This shop is by far the best I have ever been to. Gill is consistent, his lines are amazing, and he is very personable. I will never get a tattoo elsewhere. Totally recommend Gill & the entire crew to anyone looking for some fresh ink or piercings!

I got my septum pierced by Thrasher and he was really thorough with the process. He explained everything he was doing, why he was doing it, etc. Not only that, but he was super sweet and patient! The shop itself is extremely well kept, and all the equipment he used was sanitized thoroughly beforehand. He also was thourough with the aftercare process of the piercing, and was all around super welcoming and kind. I love my new piercing, the placement is amazing and he even made sure that I could flip it up if i need to hide it. I will definitely be going back to book for more piercings with him and will recommend him to anyone looking to get a piercing.

Always clean, professional and safe setting where the artists always make you feel welcomed and give you A+ artwork that you cant wait to show off. I have 8 tattoos from Coire and theres literally no one else that I suggest to people when they ask where to get their tattoos and piercings done! From super simple to intricate big tattoos, anything you need they can get it done! 100% recommend, never had a bad experience.

We had such a great experience here in March! Our tattoo artist was very professional, engaging and friendly. We showed up as walk-ins and were greeted with open arms by both employees working. Our “13” tattoos came out great and I couldn’t be happier. We’ll be back again in the very near future and cannot wait!

Henri did a tattoo on my forearm in 2015. To this day, it still looks new and the line work is the best that I have. When Im ready for another I will definitely be seeing him, 100%

All the Artists are amazing! This time I went to Emily, when I came home and showed my husband my new piece he was jealous lol. He could not believe how amazing my lines are and that there wasnt any blowouts whatsoever.... I will always go to and recommend PennyRoyal!

Such a great experience here, went in twice for two separate pieces with Coire and will 100% be going back. Super clean, super talented, just an overall awesome experience. Definitely the Best place I have gotten tattooed.

Take back my previous review, give sub standard tattoos and say they are good, I will do everything in my power to make sure people dont go there, I have a lot of connections, definitely didnt stand behind their work,,artist took 10 cigar breaks during the session
