Went here with my wife to get basic piercings done, 2 lobes and an eyebrow. Our piercer, Pirate Chris, was absolutely amazing. Very down to earth, professional, and realistic. Keep blasting that Skindred man!

I’ve been going to St Louis Ink for a couple of years now and absolutely love the place, the vibe and the artists. The tattooing and piercing are absolutely top notch! It is the most comfortable place to get work done. The conversation usually makes the time fly and before you know it the appointment is over and you’re walking out the door with your newest most favorite artwork. I have been working with Mike Rush and the guy is super fast and talented. You can’t go wrong with any of the artists though. They do any kind of style. Color or black and gray.

Me and my boyfriend went on a humbug to get tattoos. This was his first so I was nervous about going to an artist I’ve never been to before but Shawn was very good! He was very personable and made sure that we were comfortable the whole time. I do feel like he worked a bit slow just off past history with other artists and this could have been because he did like to talk so he was more into the conversation than tattooing. We didn’t mind it too much because we didn’t have anything else to do, but that could be a problem for other people. All in all he did great work, shop was clean, and the price wasn’t that bad

Absolutely love STLInk 2, I’ve gotten 3 tattoos by two different artists and multiple piercings. Everyone at the shop is super nice and welcoming! Grace did a great job on the tattoos and piercings I’ve gotten from her💖

Mel did an amazing job on both of my tattoos and took him longer to set up for the tattoo than it did for him to do then and they turned out better than I could’ve asked for and added his own touch to one of one of my forearm 10/10 will be coming back to get more done by him

Came here and got a Medusa piercing, the bar was way too short, came back got another bar and that bar was still too short then it got embedded in my lip and I had to get expensive oral surgery to get it out. The piercer is nice but does not know what hes doing, no advice on Aftercare or anything either. Spend the extra $10 and go to T-Doggs.

Needed to find a new piercer since my old piercer wasn’t a good one, went here to get angel fangs, the piercer was super nice, knew how to calm me down, and the environment was lively, it’s been about 4 days since I got it done and it’s healing up just fine! will come back for future piercings

Grace tattooed me twice and was awesome and super friendly both times! The cauldron was from her apprentice days and the wolf was only her second watercolor tattoo!!! Her skills are so impressive and I’m so thrilled with her work. Both healed really well and still look amazing and I can’t wait to keep adding to my collection from her!!! Barnum does great work! I love my sleeve and get compliments all the time on how unique and detailed it is. I have spent many hours in this shop and have seen nothing but stellar work from all of their artists.

I came in to have work done on the memorial that a different shop had done, and was unhappy with. Chris took the time to talk and draw something up for me. He was great after 2 weeks I wanted more flowers added. Chris was very understanding and more than happy to get this the way I wanted it. To me Its beautiful! Thank you Chris.

Great atmosphere and the guys are talented. Rush did a great job and got me thru my sitting and hes worth every penny. Hes for sure my new go to... I will be back to have more work done.

I took my 16 year old son here for his first tattoo. Mike was so kind and friendly to is!! The building is so neat. Lots of memorabilia from the 80s. Such a great vibe. Reasonable prices too. We will be back!

I have gotten almost all my tattoos here. the staff is really kind and work hard to do a great job and make sure that your tattoo is exactly what you want it to be. I always recommend them. they also don’t overcharge. they’ve all been very kind to me.

I was a nervous wreck but Chris was awesome!!! If youre thinking about getting a nose piercing DO It here. The entire staff was friendly and very courteous. My experience was definitely awesome to say the least ❤️ He cracked jokes and made the experience less tense. He gave aftercare info with his number included in case of mishaps. Very helpful, I definitely recommend STL Ink for your piercings especially if youre a scary cat like me!

Loved them!!! I was a walk in for 3 piercings today. They were so friendly and I was taken back right away. They explained the care well and let me know what to do if it snag and fell out.....apparently dont go to Google lol. I will be back and definitely bringing friends.

Dont ever go here if you have a mind of your own about how you want your tattoos!!! This white guy with wet, gray, greasy looking dreads shot down every idea I had. Then me and my daughter left and went on a random humbug mission and ended up in a bowling alley and guess who was there......... The guy who shot down my ideas at the bar drinking 🤦🏽 he would rather a drink than money 💰 unbelievable

All of the artist really laid back. They compliment each other well. The art is beyond quality and theyre not money grubbers! I enjoyed the relaxed environment and casual conversations about everything! I felt like my friend was giving me a tattoo and Id never met any of them before today.

Myself, my boyfriend and my son have all visited this shop at the high recommendation of a good friend. 3 different artists who encouraged us to be creative and also gave us exactly what we were looking for. The shop is nice & clean and the artists definitely know what theyre doing. Fairly priced compared to some shops in the area. We will all be back, and we will recommend all 3 of these artists every time. Thanks guys!

I got my first tattoo and my industrial piercing here. Both the guy that did my tattoo and the guy that did my piercing were insanely cool and nice, plus they kept a squeamish baby like me calm throughout the process. The environment is also incredibly clean and professional. This place is wonderful and Im definitely coming back if I decide to get more tattoos/piercing.

We took our 3 year old to get her ears pierced and Chris and Emily were extremely courteous and helpful. My daughter decided to change her mind at the last minute, and the staff couldn’t have been nicer about it.It’s a great looking shop, too! Definitely have to walk inside to appreciate it.

Its unfortunate because I went with a group, and some of us had a good experience while others did not. There was a very unprofessional atmosphere. After I got my tattoo, my artist didnt even cover it up. I had to go outside since he was smoking and ask him to do it. And then I didnt get to pay him until 20 minutes later because he kept leaving or had to do other things. Some of my friends, after waiting for 4 hours, didnt even get tattoos. This was very frustrating because their names were acidentally placed too low on the list. Even though we complained about this multiple times, and people who arrived later than my friends got their tattoos, and the tattoos my friends wanted would have only taken 5 minutes to do, they still could not organize themselves to fix their mistake. No one could give us a straight answer on the list order or waiting time, and everyone I asked just replied that they didnt know. In their defense, it was really busy. But also, they obviously didnt have enough workers there, especially considering that some artists would take like 20 minute smoke breaks in between doing 5 minute tattoos with a line of 20 people waiting.The only reason this review is 2 stars is because one artist, Logan, was extremely professional and attentive. For my friends that did get tattooed, he was attending to them. He made them laugh and feel safe, and even though he was spending the most time tattooing and not taking that many breaks, he was still the most attentive by far. As we were leaving, he caught us outside and offered to make it up to my friends who waited some other time. Hes a really stand up guy. Im not saying every other artist their is unprofessional. Its probably a great shop on regular days, and Im only reviewing the artists that were dealing with us. But we were in there for 5 hours watching other people who arrived later go ahead of some of us. Thats unacceptable and they need to improve management/coordination if their trying to satisfy their customers. And also, dont forget to cover open flesh wounds and be available to accept payment instead of having me look around for an artist.

My wife and I got matching tattoos for our wedding, a couple of years ago.I brought my own design, chose an artist from his work and asked for some slight embellishment.He got back to me pretty quickly with his additions, and before long we were in the studio getting our ink.To this day we get tons of compliments on those tattoos.Everything in the shop was clean, safe, and made us feel comfortable.I would recommend this shop.

Love this place. I have a piercing done by Grace and two tattoos that I absolutely love and another on her books. She did a cover up piece for me and I couldnt be more in love. I cannot wait to get tattooed by her again and again.

They make you feel at ease when you go inside. The receptionist was nice and fun. We went for nose piercings and the guy was so fast you didnt have enough time to even react to the pain. I definitely recommend going here.

Going to be up front, the only reason I didnt give a one star is because they participate in a great event with that 20% of sales go to an animal rescue group (which is where I got mine done).The atmosphere and people were friendly and great, but this is a tattoo shop so I am writing this review based on the tattoo I got. While my artist was friendly, if you look at the picture (excuse the sheen, I have a healing ointment on it) it says everything I need to. The sloppiest work I have had done. It was only a simple triangle, 1 line, and 3 circles. As you can see, the lines and shading are poor at best.

At 41 YES 41 I finally got a nose piercing and they took such good care of me. Im pretty sure I was annoying. And scared, but they did a great job. My nose ring ended up coming out from my own doing pulling a sweater over my head and I came right in & they put it right back in with no issues.

The staff is courteous and informative with a strong emphasis on education and respect for autonomy.The shop itself is incredibly clean and inviting.No part of the experience is overwhelming , everyone is there to ensure that you get exactly what youre looking for. From piercings to tattoos , you cannot go wrong here!

I have been here several times. Everyone is friendly and nice. Usually pretty pleased with their work but the last one I got has several spots missing. Forgot the bottom part of my tat a forgot to shade in a part of it. If the artist wouldve been paying attention he wouldve noticed before he said he was done. I didnt notice it until I had gotten home so now I have to go back to have it fixed. Im not one to complain but a tattoo is on your body forever...this artist was In a hurry to get out of there.

Went here for the first time because of their charity event for K-9 animal rescue. Got two new tattoos from Logan and love them! He did a great job and 20% of the cost went to help the animals so everyone wins ♥

Even though I didnt get the piercing done here, they were super helpful when my dermal rejected me. Its been about a week and it healed up perfectly. What couldve been a super stressful experience was not, thanks to the great people here.

Took our 16 year old daughter for her first tattoo. Couldnt have had a better experience! Everyone was so friendly. Brian is an excellent artist and made her so comfortable and relaxed while he was doing her tattoo. Highly recommend St. Louis Ink!

STL Ink is a place you can trust, very clean and professional experience. Amanda did a couple for me and was great, talented artist, personable and a pleasure to work with.I’ve also had a few done by Chris and can say first hand he does great work, professional, and easygoing.Overall this is a place worth giving your business to.

This is Part 2 of the last review by Mariah Lindsey. Yes, I have 2 Google accounts:Aside from the fact that us showing our IDs and filling out a LITERAL consent from with our information should have actually meant something, if youre representing any type of establishment and want to act like you have some home-training, once you make a mistake like that and have been told and can LITERALLY SEE that a customer has been in your shop for hours, you should be trying to accommodate them as much as possible. We should have absolutely been the next people in line. I don’t care about deals or hectic days at this point, it’s simply unprofessional and not fair. And of course, this excuse was full of hot air because we waited an entire hour after that for nothing. I told the friends we met with that I was ready to go, as we were all getting tired and hungry, and my friend wanted to wait a bit more and ask more questions to see what was going on, but at this point I was fully aware that the workers were lazy and didn’t give a single care about the people they’d seen in their shop for the last literal 4 hours.The only worker I found some respect for was the single color artist in the shop, who my friends told me was named Logan. He was the only artist I’d seen completely on task and going back and forth from doing extensive ink and trying to quickly tend to the next customers by referring to the faulty sign-in sheet. And when we’d finally gotten up to leave empty-handed (while the entire store decided to stare and watch us as we left as if we had two heads), he was the only person to follow us out, apologize for the service, and offer us a freebie for later-on. I was sure to thank him for his efforts.Moral of the story is, though, if there were ANY SHRED OF ORGANIZATION – there would have been a comprehensive system; a person at the front desk at all times (I understand they were doing both ink and working at the front desk, but this is why you switch out and make sure there is always someone available), someone always available to handle money (simply handing money to people at random times for them to pocket is straight up ghetto and can set you up for stealing, which is not even business smart), a REAL sign-in sheet with TIMESTAMPS (and EVERYONE signs the sheet, not some people, your memory of who was here first is not as good as you think), and no artists taking smoke breaks with their customers after doing 1-2 tattoos at a time.I want this business to flourish because it’s sterile, clean, inviting, and the art is good. But if your business practices are piss poor and there’s chaos everywhere, it’s hard to thrive. Y’all be blessed tho.

Piercer is absolutely unprofessional and doesn’t know what he’s doing. I highly recommend you go somewhere else because you’ll regret not doing so

Came here last year for a leg tattoo with excellent service. Came this year April 2021 trying to get more tattoos but the artist that were in there were just lazy. Not motivated. I tried to set up an appointment and he was basically trying to tell me to get out. Don’t recommend.

After being super confused about their old location still listed on Google, I went in to look for body jewelry and honestly thought no one was even in the building because it was so quiet and empty. After a few minutes I asked if anyone was there, thinking maybe no one knew I came in. Eventually a guy came out with a couple customers, looked at me, and continued doing whatever he was doing to set up for them. So I asked another customer that came in if she knew if they had jewelry and she said she didnt think so, so I left. It just felt weird and unprofessional to not at least be like, Hey Ill be with you shortly or something to acknowledge I was there. 🤔

Hands down the best shop in St Louis. I have been going to both locations consistently over the past few years and I have always been treated with the upmost respect and have always felt welcome. Everyone in both locations are professional, thorough, and do a phenomenal job!! Ive never had any complaints. Thanks guys!!

Very judgmental and unprofessional. Artist seemed lazy. Kept telling me tons of reasons why I couldn’t get a design I already had ready. Felt more like they didn’t want to rather than they couldn’t. Heard a bad things from others. Don’t recommend if you good customer service and professionalism.

Stopped by tonight with my daughter to get tattoos. Employee at the desk was busy with his lady friends and looked annoyed when we walked in. When we told him what we were wanting, he shortly said, We have an hour wait on tattoos. I said that was fine. He looked more annoyed and said, I mean, its AT LEAST an hour wait. Was trying to leave our money in N. County but drove to the city instead, where they appreciated our business.

Went to take my girls to get a piercing. Today 7/5/20. The guy at the front desk was rude. It wasn’t so much of what he said it was his attitude and demeanor. He never gave eye contact never smiled and acted as if we were bothering him. Based on that alone they will never get a dime out of me.

Shawn Smith is a very talented artist, but he over books appointments and has no consideration for clients time if your tattoo is is not making him a lot of money, mines 120. Also he makes you pay a deposit to secure your appointment that he cant even meet. He waits till I reach out a day before my appt to rescheduled both my appointments, instead of letting me know in advance. He has an assistant who obvious doesnt do their job well. Just Unprofessional!!

Excellent tattoo shop. I have gotten every one of my tattoos here from the owner, Mike, and I plan to go here for every one I get in the future. Very clean and sterile environment for tattoos and piercings with very talented artists who look to give you the best experience possible.

I love going here for my tattoos and piercings. Clean shop, fun and professional environment. I even brought my niece in to get her nose pierced and we live in Wentzville area. Well worth the drive to have people who know what they are doing.

Everyone is very friendly. These folks are professionals. Do not trust a young kid at a mall or store for piercings. The staff here will treat your body with respect and safety. Each time I visit the wait is not long, try to arrive upon opening if possible (but not necessary). Great business!

I went to get my double nose piercing I was nervous as hell but my piercer made me feel comfortable and talked me through the entire process. The piercing itself was fast the pain level was bearable it felt like a pinch, putting the nose jewelry in was more painful than the piercing itself.will definitely be back again for future piercings.

I got a tattoo by Wes and it was the best experience. He is very professional, is amazing at what he does, and is super funny. I love my new tattoo and definitely will be back for another one soon!

He used a twisty nose ring for piercing and then I was not able to use straight nose rings without a lot of struggle. I never had this done before but my girlfriend who has, said he did it slower than normal, made the pain last longer (excruciating for me!) She also has not had a good experience with this piercing and changing the rings out. I finally let mine close up because i could not put a hoop ring in for anything and I developed bumps on the outside and inside of my nostril.

I have worked with my friend Barnum for years he is awesome absolutely Amazing with tattoos but when I came to get my piercing for my nose done by another artist he messed my piercing up I want to speak to the manager or a better piercer or my money back this ridiculous and I not happy....

I highly recommend going to STL Ink.For my 17th birthday I decided to get my nose pierced, and after calling a few places I chose to go to STL Ink simply because the guy who answered the phone was extremely polite and answered all of my questions. Other places that I called didnt give me that reassured feeling.I didnt have to schedule an appointment, it was a walk in. As soon as they opened, I headed to the shop, which is in this strip mall, with plenty of parking. It sounds silly but the place has really positive vibes. The atmosphere is amazing, and the building itself is very, very clean. The art on the walls alone is worth coming to look at. Everyone is so laid back. The entire time I was there everyone was joking around. Definitely allows you to be relaxed.Because I was under 18, I had to bring my mom with me and get paperwork from them that we had to take the Vantage across the street, basically saying she signs for me. Really simple.Before, during, and after my piercing, my piercer (Patrick) explained the process, while he very meticulously cleaned and disinfected everything after taking it out of its packaging. The piercing itself was quick and virtually painless (its more of a shock when the needle goes through). He explained after care and what to buy to clean it and it healed perfectly after 8 weeks. I called back a few times with questions and they still were just as helpful as the first time.My 18th birthday is coming up in July, and because of the experience that I had, im coming back to get another piercing and my first two tattoos. I plan to stay a customer.

This has been the one and only place Ive gone and will recommend. When I first went I wanted someone patient but who had years behind them.The artist are talented, and very hard working.

THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME THERE AND IT WAS THE WORST TATTOO SHOP AND EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD‼️ IF I COULD GIVE NO STARS I WOULD. THE TATTOO ARTIST WAS VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. HE DID NOT INTRODUCE HIS SELF NOR DID HE SHOW ME ANY OF HIS WORK! WHEN I CAME BACK UP FRONT HE WAS DISCUSSING ME VERY RUDELY WITH ANOTHER TATTOO ARTIST WHICH MADE ME FEEL VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. THE OTHER GUY WAS SIDING WITH HIM AND DID NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON AND STARTED TALKING RUDE TO ME. THE ORIGINAL TATTOO ARTIST LOUD TALKED ME AND STARTED TELLING ME WHAT I SHOULD OF DID VERY RUDE & NASTY. HE WALKED OFF WALKING BACK AND FORWARD, WALKED OUTSIDE AND LEFT ME STANDING AT THE COUNTER AS IF I WAS NOT A CUSTOMER. HE ALSO RACIALLY PROFILED ME AND THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO CONTINUE ON WITH BEING MY TATTOO ARTIST. WITH THAT BEGIN SAID I AM A BUSINESS OWNER AND THE WAY HE CONDUCTED HIS SELF WAS VERY INAPPROPRIATE AND UNACCEPTABLE!!I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SHOP.

Upstanding work, but professionalism goes a long way.My friends and I came yesterday to take advantage of the Friday the 13th $20 deals. As compared to other shops such as Iron Age, crowds were much shorter and the selection of tattoos were more extensive and creative. Being conscious of what day it was, my friends and I were fully prepared to wait for a bit, understanding that there were only about 4 artists working on people at a time and several customers were coming in very quickly. Still, though, it makes no sense that myself and another friend had to wait for a literal 4 hours for a single tattoo, watching countless others who came into the shop well after we did receive their tattoos, and ultimately give up on the idea out of frustration and annoyance and go home, not one tattoo at all.Im giving this business a single star because every problem we had last night could have been solved if any of the workers (aside from one, of whom Ill mention later) had a professional bone in their bodies. I have all day, so Ill elaborate in detail what went wrong and what couldve been better:- Around 7:04 p.m., the party I rode with arrived at the shop and met up with three other friends whod been there for about 30 minutes already and were filling out consent forms. With it being my first time at a tattoo shop and unaware of protocol, I went to the front desk and asked about proper protocol for actually getting my tattoo. The worker who greeted me, while funny, gave a kind of sarcastic comment about the paperwork I was pointing to and said it was for that morning. Instead, he gave me as well one of the friends I rode with a consent form each, which we quickly filled out, showed our IDs, and started looking at the tattoo selections. Immediately after filling out our paperwork, a rush of people come in and (presumably) do the same.- Within the next hour, the friends who arrived before us have received their tattoos. Afterwards, though, we start to see people who came in after us be seated. My other friend and I are a bit confused, and wonder if there really was a sign in sheet or if the consent form was the only form necessary, so we go back to the front desk to inquire and tell them that we came in right after our friends. A different worker gives us a new sign-in sheet, which is really the equivalent of a sheet of printer paper with names sloppily written all over it with no numbers or timestamps or anything, and my friend writes her name (which happens to be Tomorrow, her name is actually Tomorrow) while I proceed to write a plus sign and my own name after her. We sit back down to wait.- Another hour passes, and we see more people (who came after us) have their names called to get inked. I spot the first worker I spoke with in front of the shop taking his 3/11th smoke break along with other people waiting to be inked, so I step outside to ask him about the wait and remind him of our presence. I could tell by the silence of the lung cancer group that Id ruined their vibe and was unwanted, but the worker kind of brushed it off and said that hed check up on that.- Another hour passes and daylight has gone, and I go up to the front desk to speak with the same worker and specifically ask about our names on the list. He and another worker, a female, check the list to see that our names have been crossed out and says that Tomorrow and Mariah have been done already, of course to which Im like, Um, no, weve been here for 3 hours already and have watched other people go ahead of us. Then he laughs a bit and loudly realizes that he didnt recognize Tomorrow as an actual name, and thought that Mariah would be getting inked tomorrow. I wasnt amused, so he haphazardly apologized and said it was an honest mistake, asks what tattoo we want (3 HOURS LATER PEOPLE) and said that we would be seen soon. I sit back down.Im hella mad and Im not done - this will be split in 2 parts.

I went to St. Louis Ink Tattoo Studio to get my back dermals removed and Chris was amazing! He got them out with in 10 minutes even though I was screaming and cussing he put up with me! Lol Go see Chris for all your piercings!!!

I’ve gotten all my tattoos by mr.rush and he’s a terrific tattoo artist especially if you like the sailor jerry type style, he does a great job and the place has a great environment, the other artist there have their own styles too so there’s something for everyone there, I recommend this place to anyone looking for a good tattoo with a good and comfortable environment.

Artist did a great job with details. Reasonable time to complete the tattoo. Friendly staff. They definitely care about the customer satisfaction.

I came in and a lady was sitting behind a computer eating popcorn. She said the piercer would be there in a minute so I sat down. Then she says he bullshitting come on then she starts pulling out materials without putting on gloves or washing hands. Then I asked yal dont have yal licenses and pictures up? She says yeah here it is somebody keeps covering it. Then she starts showing me business licenses and city licenses I said I dont care about all that I want to make sure the person about to put a hole in my face is licensed. She says I asked her too aggressively 😑 So as Im getting up she calls me a fat ass... this is the same person who made a paying customer wait until she finished her pop corn to service them😂😂😂 I have a car, and I can pay $35-50 Im not the local clientele that dont have other options... going to Cheap Trix

Came here on my birthday to get my first tattoo. From start to finish everything was explained in detail and they made my experience one to remember. I absolutely love my tattoo!

I was passing by the shop with a group of friends and asked if we could stop so I could price a piece I wanted. They said they closed at 11 pm and we walked in just a few minutes after 10 (plenty of time to answer my question ) and was approached rudely and was told I was crazy if I was wanting to get tattooed this late. Thanks for answering that question for me.👎

TBH I havent been here yet, but one of my childhood friends owns it. I will definitely get my next tattoo here and update my review when I do. 💯

The shop is nice however it seemed to me that the guy I spoke to was over pricing me based on his own rates rather than what I would be charged by any other artist that I would have spoken to from this location.

Had shane do my second tattoo on the 30th of march and im completely inlove with it. Great people, great prices and overall amazing tattoos. Will definitely be coming back.

My sister and I went in for a nose piercing. There was not alot of pain and it was pretty quick. So far things are healing well.

I just had a septum piercing done only for it to be a crooked piercing I was told to give it a couple of days to let the swelling go down I called the shop Monday to express how disappointed I felt about the piercing I was told to come in so that he can take a look at the piercing and when he seen how badly crooked the piercing was he told me he was going to take it out and for me to wait two weeks to be re-pierced it’s crazy that you go to get things professionally done and it still turns out bad to have to go through the pain again when it should’ve been done right the first time and don’t let me leave out when taking the piercing out it was very painful and a lot of pulling and it was hurting so bad I have never been through anything like this and I have had over 10 piercings in total when I say I feel so disappointed with getting a bad piercing and to be honest I would just like my money back because I would hate to have to go through the pain a second time and it not turn out right I feel very disappointed 😔

I just left from this shop it’s 12:52pm they say they’re open Monday-Saturday 12pm-9pm and no one is at this shop it’s a waste of my time and gas driving here and no one is here. Very unprofessional
