Gilded Heron Tattoo

From the time I walked in the door for my consultation until my final session, I truly enjoyed my experience at Gilded Heron. After I finished my graduate work, I was looking for someone to do a full sleeve on my arm to best represent my educational journey. My best friend recommended Jason and Gilded Heron, and I’m so glad he did. The shop is clean, and it has a welcoming atmosphere. Jason and his staff are extremely friendly and professional, and they do their best to meet their clients’ tattoo needs from start-to-finish. Besides walking away with some awesome new ink, I feel like I’ve gotten to know Jason as a person as well, and I would now consider him a friend.

Top notch tattoo shop! Very clean. My wife and I got our tattoos Thursday evening and they turned out superbly. Josie did an awesome job on my wifes cardinal and Jason did an excellent job on my grim reaper. I would recommend the gilded heron shop to my family and friends and anyone who is thinking of getting a tattoo!

I got my first tattoo from Kat about a month and a half ago and I am absolutely in love with it. I have other tattoos, but this is my first one from her and I am blown away by her talent. She worked me with to get my tattoo just right and she is so fun to work with. I will definitely be getting more work from her in the near future. The studio looks awesome as well. I really enjoy looking at all of the decor they have going on. I highly recommend getting a tattoo from Kat, but all of the artists work looks amazing.

Ive just gotten my 4th tattoo from Jason, with another scheduled in a month, and all I hear from people are how clean they are and how great they look. He is extremely talented and efficient. The longest tattoo only took 2 and a half hours, and that definitely wouldve taken 3 or more anywhere else.You can give him a stencil, and he will execute it amazingly and always improve it. You can also just give him an idea, and he will work out an amazing piece. I recommend gilded heron to anyone who asks.

Absolutely the best shop around. Jason is a phenomenal artist and knocks it out of the park with everything he does. The detail in my sleeve is out of this world. I get compliments almost daily about the work he’s done. After my son passed away in 2016, Jason did my memorial chest piece and the quality is unbelievable. Truly honoring my son.

I worked with Josie about a month ago on my tattoo. She was my first experience with Gilded Heron. I came to her with some ideas & she helped me bring them to life. She was easy to work with & super friendly. She did a great job I love how it turned out. Would highly recommend her. Will be back again for my next tattoo.

I’ve been getting tattooed here for years by Kat. Her beautiful artistry and tattoo skills cover my body and get complimented on a daily basis. I’ve been getting tattooed by Jason since the start of his career. Anytime I had an idea for a tattoo, he would get creative and turn it into his own unique masterpiece. I highly recommend Gilded Heron Tattoo! This is the only tattoo shop that makes you feel completely welcomed as soon as you step in the door AND even calling on the phone. Each person has taken the time to help with whatever it is that you need. Nick Austin is who I go to for my tattoos and he is just so awesome! He is super kind and he knocks it out of the park with designs. This last time I booked with him all I told him is that I wanted a flower to cover up something and left it completely up to him. It turned out so amazing! He has genuine conversations the entire time and makes sure you’re comfortable. They are all kind, fun, and caring people.

Hi! I have been going to the shop for about 2 years now. I personally get tattooed by Nick Austin. I met him through a mutual friend and ever since then he has tattooed me. Started small with my hands, then my sternum, my full leg sleeve, my butt 🤣, my beautiful Lilith and finally my memory tattoo for my father who passed. Nick is so unbelievably talented. He is also very compassionate, kind and just a good soul. The shop is such a wonderful environment and experience every single time I am there which is pretty often anymore. Both Jason and Kat are unbelievably friendly and kind as well. Also spectacular artists. Definitely check them out!

The one & only shop I go to for all things tattoo. I’ve personally been to the owner Jason & my go to girl Kat. Always understanding with my crazy schedule, great artwork & helpful opinions. Communication is important to me and they never miss a beat. Oh and can’t forget😜.. tattoos are always done perfectly!

I have been coming to Jay at The Gilded Heron for all my tattoos. Even when they were formally known as art and soul studio. Never have I felt so welcome at a tattoo shop. The work not only Jay does but all the artist do is amazing. It is just such a warm and welcome environment when you come. I give him some ideas of what I’m thinking about, I show up for my session and every tattoo he’s drawn for me has been nothing short of perfect!! Josie did an awesome job doing 3 matching tattoos for my family. She was so patient dealing with our different personalities and made us all feel welcome and well taken care of. She gave an honest opinion when asked, offered suggestions, and just listened as we worked through all the details. And she also did 3 damn fine tattoos back to back. I came here for my first ever tattoo with Kat! She was so gentle and honest about everything. Everything was so nice and clean. There was a nice smell in the air and such a relaxing atmosphere. I’m excited to come back in September to get two more tattoos! I definitely would recommend coming here. Especially for a first tattoo.

Ive been going to Jason, the owner of Gilded Heron, and his fiance Kat for years. I love all their work. You give them an idea and they run with it. When my son passed away Kat went above and beyond my expectations when I told her what I wanted. I love them and I have referred alot of people to the shop! Ive been going to Jason for well over 10 years, previously art and soul studios, regardless of the name change...hes my go to guy. I always recommend him and his peers because theyre that good. I am constantly getting compliments on my tattoos and thats why I wont go anywhere else.They pride themselves on their craft, they are honest and upfront. If something isnt going to work, they will tell you instead of just taking your money.The shop is always clean, everyone is professional yet accommodating and friendly!

Gilded Heron is the best tattoo shop around. As someone who is not very artistic or creative, I love being able to give my rough ideas to Jason and he always ends up with the perfect tattoo. Got my very first tattoo done here when I turned 18, was recommended by my brother who had been going here for years. The most inviting atmosphere, with such kind talented people. Jason does such a great job! I know I will always be satisfied with the work he does.

Best overall experience! I am a navy veteran and have been tattooed from different places around the world. Gilded Heron is by far the best place! I don’t even know how many years I have been going to Kat! I love her work! She has corrected at least one old bad tattoo. I trust her vision every time I come in. She has added to some of my old ones as well and you can’t tell the old from the new! The shop has a great vibe and is extremely clean and professional!

I have been going to Kat (Katherine) long before Gilded Heron and she is always my #1 for tattoos. She’s basically my only choice (with acception of maybe 3 of my pieces) I do not have the art skill she does, and when I explain my vision she runs with it and kills it every time. She doesn’t make me feel rushed, we have an understanding for the process (I mean it is permanent) and she will remove that stencil 3-4 times if need be. I love her energy, her vision, her openness to basically any idea you may have, she’ll work with you to see it through. She’s amazing! I love her! And recommend this group of artists tremendously

Kat at Gilded Heron is talented beyond words. She has the ability to take your ideas and descriptions, and give life through her art and skill. I have a couple pieces from Kat, and currently working on a large coverup, which the final piece has encompassed my wishes and more. Many compliments on my newest piece and the line-work, detail, and colors. Clean shop, the new appearance is so fun, and they always work with me on my hectic schedule and availability too (including my need to break my appts down into smaller time frames).

I went here for my first tattoo about a month ago and left with 3.. what does that tell you lol Kat is a truly amazing artist and nailed it on all 3 i couldnt have asked for a better experience since i was nervous about how it was gonna feel(cry baby) and kat made me feel right at home after I scheduled another appt with her which isnt until Decemeber 21st because they are super busy (green flags for dayz) Ive visited josie their apprentice at the shop twice now since my appt a month ago and once again I couldnt leave with just one and left with 2 each time and she nailed em especially the realism bullet tattoo they look like real bullets and I have had numerous compliments that are all the same omg those look real! Save yourself the time of looking at other tattoo shops and go to gilded heron I PROMISE you will not be disappointed!
