Absolutely loved this family-oriented shop! My sisters and I went to NY Tattoo Studio for the first time on March 28, 2024. The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly, and the price was incredibly reasonable - half of what we expected to pay elsewhere! Dozer, the artist, was awesome. He listened attentively to our vision for our matching carnation tattoos and did an amazing job bringing it to life. The shop itself was clean and professional. We had such a positive experience that we cant wait to go back for our next tattoos!

This was my first time here and I was so relaxed and the atmosphere was amazing. I got 2 tattoos and Hailey was a amazing person. She was informative and great at what she did she listened to me and understood what I wanted. The end came out and I loved it when it was done. I got the drawing my daughter did and a Aquarius ♒️. Both are great and cant wait to add more to it. Thank you all so much. It was truly a pleasure and I have already recommended you to family.

I had a great experience at New York Tattoo. Dover, the owner, designer and Anthony did the tattooing. Spectacular work. Laid back atmosphere and very informative. I highly recommend them. Lacy Rd.

Dozer, Ryan and everyone (sorry didnt catch everyones name) TRULY THANK YOU! I cannot express how greatful I am to all of you for saving me tonight! After another piercings place didnt have a piercer and my piercing falling out. I made it in the nick of time. Dozer was truly wonderful for still taking me so close to closing so my nose piercing didnt close. For the 1st time being there I was 1000% pleased. If I get another tattoo anytime soon Ill definitely come back.

Crystal is an amazing tattoo artist!! Everyone request her. The New York tattoo studio is great and nice people work there. They have lots of great holiday promotions. I would recommend appointments because they can get busy. The parking lot is small.

I had my nose pierced, best piercing process. the guys very nice & joking to calm the nerves. will 100% come back for any future piercings or tattoos.

I definitely recommend this place! I wanted my piercing as soon as possible and most places only accept appointments. I was excited to find out they accept walk-ins. My best friend took me and we had a blast. I believe the owner was the one that did my piercing. He was very friendly and made the experience a lot less nerve racking. I’m definitely coming back for my next piercing!

I took my 10 year old daughter there to get her ear pierced. If your child wants their ears pierced, this is the only place I’d recommend! Explained everything, super nice to my daughter and her friend. Very clean and all instruments and earrings are sterile. No pain at all, not even a flinch. Thank you!

Took my daughter to get her ears pierced and walked out with another piercing myself. The entire staff is super friendly (and funny). My daughter was nervous once she sat down and didnt say a peep the entire time.... but they kept trying to joke with her and make her smile. The piercings were quick and super painless.

Just got my first tattoo here and it was the best experience ever. Dozer was so kind to me, even though I was initially anxious about the pain, he helped me calm down and had stayed four hours after the shop had closed to get to my tattoo. He truly made me feel comfortable and cared about, I love the environment there. I plan on returning many times. I also got a piercing with Jen, she was very informative and helpful to me, she even cleaned my other recent piercings that I got elsewhere. It was an amazing experience, I felt so welcomed and at ease. I highly recommend this shop.

This shop makes you feel like family, they have the best pricing around hands down and Dozer is an award winning tattoo artist and legend who goes and above and beyond for his clients. The apprentice Haylie at the shop has unlimited potential and is going to be an amazing artist for years to come she did my last tat and it came out so good.

Dozer is the most amazing tattoo artist!!! I have had numerous pieces done by him and they are amazing! I cant say enough about his work, but that he is outstanding!!!

Amazing place they offer the best deal in the area I travel from Toms River down as far as Mays landing and this is the most reasonable priced place to go! They listen to you and work with you! The owner is amazing the tattoo attached was done 10/29/22 he did an amazing job! I am stunned I am so lucky I went there for the flash sale for Halloween.. I have gotten many of my tattoos there and always leave happy!! They are right off lacy road if you take route nine if your taking the parkway it’s exit 74 and once your off the exit they’re right down the street.. definitely worth going no lie you want a good looking tattoo this is the place!

Went in for my very first tattoo. I was super nervous but Chrystal reassured me and made me feel at ease. Everyone there was very professional and helped me make decisions that would make the tattoo look it’s best. All of the equipment and rooms were very clean and sterile. I felt very comfortable the entire time I was there. Dozer was extremely welcoming and helpful and just an overall nice person. I cannot say enough nice things about my experience today. My tattoo came out better than I could have imagined. So, thank you New York Tattoo for making my first tattoo experience a great one!!!

Went today to have my nose pierced by Jen. Absolute delight very professional very friendly and the overall vibe of the place was amazing. Everyone was extremely welcoming and the shop is prestige very clean. I would recommend this place for piercings and tats theyre work the do is phenomenal 😁👃

I came here after having all of my ear piercings taken out by my previous piercer for an MRI, who could no longer put them back in for me before they wouldve closed. He took me in immediately the day I called and reopened and put all of my piercings back in. He was very knowledgeable on what he was doing, being able to get back in some tricky piercings. He was respectful, comforting, and professional. I appreciate him taking me in on such short notice and helping me with everything I needed, saving my piercings from closing! Thanks so much!

This shop has a very friendly atmosphere. The owner Dozer has been tattooing for 39 years. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Dozer treats you like family. He talks to you like he hasn’t seen you in years. He engages with you in such conversation that you feel everything he says, does and recommends is truly coming from his heart. If I could give more than 5 stars I’d give him 10. His line work is incredible and his attention to the detail and the craft of tattooing is on another level.

Dozer is hands down the best tattooist Ive ever encountered. He turned a messed up, half done piece into a flawless masterpiece. We are now making it into a beautiful full sleeve with a dragon going the full length of my arm. So impressed with his ideas, color blending, and just his overall professionalism. He makes it a great, personal experience and even better than that, his prices are more than fair considering his level of talent. Highly recommend!

Great work done by chris for my dad and myself. My dad has gotten a touch up done and a second tattoo matching with mine. We were taken care of and super fast with getting an appointment that worked with our schedule. Artist took his time in making sure it was exactly what we wanted before starting

Just got my tattoo done by Dozer. I absolutely love it! Everyone is nice there, it’s very clean, good vibes, and family friendly too! You feel comfortable there which is a huge plus for me. I’ll definitely be going back for my next one!

Dozer and Chachi have done a decent amount of work on me and my family. I can attest that Amanda has been fired since the incident with her foul language and lack of consideration. I don’t think that the shop itself should be talked down on because i know that if Dozer had known, he would have handled it immediately. They have always been welcoming and have always treated me and my family like we’re all family. They both are outstanding artists and I will only be going to them for ink on my body! 🌻❤️

I got my first tatt from the owner! He works extremely hard for everything he has! He is family oriented and goes above and beyond for not only his clients, but for everyone! What Amanda did should not reflect this mans business! He and Chachi do amazing work! They have done work on my kids as well as my husband! The owner took action IMMEDIATELY upon notification of what was going on! He would NEVER allow nor does he tolerate this type of behavior! I would certainly recommend this place as the work done is done with pride! Don’t let 1 bad apple spoil the whole bunch! Highly recommend!!!

I love the personal level of care here. Dozer is the best and can make anyone feel comfortable. Ive gotten two small pieces so far but I will definitely be getting more when I get the chance. I would recommend Dozer and New York Tattoo Studio to anyone looking for great ink in a clean, comfortable environment.

I would never EVER suggest this shop to ANYONE. Their tattoo artist Amanda told a potential client that she hopes her child dies in his sleep. Why would someone say such a thing? Oh because the potential client decided to go with another artist and not Amanda. Not only did she tell the potential client once she hopes her child dies, but TWICE. This is completely unprofessional. She is clearly in the wrong field because she doesn’t know how to talk to potential clients. There are many other shops around here that would never treat anyone this way and do way better work to begin with. What’s even more disgusting is the shop owner is defending her and won’t fire her. I can’t even believe a business owner would want someone with such a trashy mouth to work for them. Amanda sweetie, you have some growing up to do, maybe look for a field where you don’t have to speak to customers. Clearly you’re unfit to work somewhere where you have to communicate with people.

New York Tattoo is a shop I would recommend to anyone to anyone who’s willing to get the best quality work around the Bayville area. Dozer is an extremely talented artist and an fantastic human. Despite the latest controversy, the quality of their work and cover up work speaks for itself and cannot be beat! I cannot recommend them enough because of the exceptional tattooing skills, amazing professional vibe I get from the place.5/5 stars! Will recommend

I have 2 tattoos done by Dozer. They are amazing!! I sent many people to him over the years and everyone is always blown away by the detailed work.I look forward to visiting the shop when I am in the area. I highly recommend this shop.

Top notch place. Ever go to a shop and feel unwelcomed even though you are a paying customer or feel like they think they are doing you a favor? Not here soon as we walked in everyone was really inviting. The shop is really warm and welcoming. The artists there where honest and open about their skills. Dozer! He ended up doing my wife and Is tats and what a skilled and awesome dude. I really appreciated the other artists where honest about they would not be the best choice of person to do what we wanted. Dozer came in and did a phenominal job. VERY reasonably priced. All around I am very happy and greatful I walked in this studio. I will go back again.

EDIT: the owner has fired this employee and apologized for her behavior, I wish the best to the other employees and I’m happy that they did the right thing.My brother’s best friend’s wife had plans to get a tattoo from one of your artists (Amanda Abrams) and when the artist didn’t get back to her in a timely manner and she didn’t like the design that was drawn up, she decided to go with another artist at a different shop. The artist spoke to her in an absolutely disgusting manner, and literally told her that she hopes her baby chokes and dies in his sleep. OVER A TATTOO APPOINTMENT CANCELLATION. If you let your employees talk to their clients like that you aren’t going to be in business for long, I suggest you take out the trash and rectify this situation because this is going to keep being shared and your business is going to look bad if there is no disciplinary action taken with this horrible person you’ve employed.

You deleted your Facebook and I’m getting no indication from the owner that Amanda’s was fired. Don’t ever go to this place; the tattoo artists are vile and will wish death on your child over an appointment cancellation, and then the owner will protect them. If she was fired, you better get on it about letting people know.

There has not been an artist as iconoclastic as Dozer since Sailor Jerry himself.Clean, caring, detailed, fun, comfortable.Dozer and NY Tattoo make a life altering decision easy. ....the pain is another story.Although tattoos hurt, Dozer and his team understand so they take breaks and help you through a wonderful process.Get ink here now!

Dozer is a one of a kind, fantastic artist. I wouldn’t trust anyone but him to do my tattoos. I’ve gotten 3 done by him so far and LOVE them beyond words.

Ive had two tattoos done by Dozer and both of them are wonderful! The shop is very clean and you never have to worry about being dissatisfied because they deliver every time. Ill never go anywhere else!

I came in for a tattoo touch up and Dozer was pleasant and helpful it turned out great . I also had a piercing that was closed and was done incorrectly by myself. It was crooked and Dozer was nice enough to re pierce it for me I would highly recommend Dozer for tattoos and piercings !!

Went in for a septum piercing, waited for 30 min despite having an appointment. Dozer talked like he knew what he was doing, but I left with a piercing that had such bad placement (that I didn’t know at the time of leaving) that nearly everyone I know who has had experience with body piercings and the like were blown away by simply how bad it was.

Just got this beautiful piece done at New York Tattoo. I highly recommend this shop for anyone looking to get an amazing tattoo done.

Owner is sleeping with an employee so apparently she is allowed to tell customers that she hopes their babies die. Amanda has a violent history and is a general psycho and does terrible work on top of all that. Steer clear of this shop. The good artists left cuz they couldn’t handle the insanity. Scary place, not safe as long as Amanda is there.

An artist at this shop treated a woman horribly after the client expressed she wasn’t happy with the art that had been drawn for her, and felt the artist wasn’t being comunicative enough with her. Upon canceling her appointment for these reasons, the artist attacked her verbally, going so far as to send texts saying she hopes the woman’s children choke to death in their sleep. All in text, so there is hard proof of her words. When the owner of the business was confronted with how his artist had not only viciously insulted and cursed at a client, but also wished her children dead, he chose to keep that person on as an employee. This woman threatened the integrity of his business with her actions, attacking clients and their children and should not be permitted to continue to behave in such a way. I don’t know any of these people, but I found it so shocking that this is how he’s comfortable with someone representing his business. I will not give any business who is willing to allow things like this a single cent.

Love the shop and have gotten all my tattoos from here. the owner is amazing and amazing at his craft. the shop is always clean and up to code when it comes to the utensils. will DEFINITELY be coming back

I went to Dozer in N.Y. at Island tattoo several years ago. Just found out today he was here . Going to go see him again. He is great. Small world. We both moved to the same town in a different state.

This place is awful!! I worked for them for 2 days and not only can they not tattoo they tried to rip me off. They have no remorse for the artist Amanda that wished death on a customers baby. They think its a joke. Stay away from here!!! Their one artist is about 75 and cant even do a simple heart outline.

Dozer hand drew everything. It was like he was in my head as I imagined the piece and drew it perfectly. Dozer created a comfortable environment so I did not have any fear getting my first tattoo. It was split up into 3 sessions. I wont go anywhere else or to anyone else for any other pieces i get

Having Amanda (@amanda8abrams) on their artist roster is their biggest mistake yet. In her free time she finds joy in calling clients names, telling them she wishes their children would choke and die, and threatening to bust their teeth out. I for one would never come to a shop that has someone that disgusting and obviously unstable working, and I know I’m not the only one that feels that way. She’s a sure fire way to lose business.

I would give none of that was an option. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. After a tattoo artist by the name of Amanda fought with a customer forNot using her and wishing death upon the Customers baby. The owner won’t even fire her, he’s actually coming up with excuses for her disgusting actions.

Felt extremely comfortable, all staff was extremely nice and professional. Gehennatat2 was great with me and my daughter. Owner spent time talking with my daughter about being a chef and was just very nice and knowledgeable. Definitely found my new go to shop.

If I could give more stars I would every professional staff the office and studios where clean and everything was opened right in front of me properly! Dozers great i went to several shops that didnt want to do a cover up.. He sat down with me on a sunday went drew up some ideas.. I was back Tonight to start the cover up of some ugly old work.. Hes great..
