Best place to get tattooed, hands down! Go see Niki Needles whos been there for over 12yrs and does phenomenal work! Shes done all 3 of my tattoos (I only started when I was 49) & shes done a piece a year!

Wonderful historic tattoo shop with a museum of many famous tattooers and side show artists. Madame Chinchilla gave us a full tour and Nikki Needles was wonderful and welcoming when we called ahead. This is an excellent place to visit, get tattooed and buy some historical souvenirs. Be prepared to stay a few hours so you can see everything on the walls and get tattooed. We got new Triangle Tattoo Hoodies to wear on our motorcycles back to North Carolina.

This is such a fun place. Definitely worth a visit and definitely worth a tattoo if you are looking to get one.I’ll start off by saying Niki Needles was incredible as she gave me my first tattoo ever here at triangle tattoo. She was accommodating, happy, cheerful as well as incredibly talented!!! I would highly recommend getting a tattoo from her to anyone that is looking.Next, just a few words about the location. The location is fun and full of rich history, and good vibes, but more than this, It takes safety and pleasure to the core of their business. We were so incredibly happy with our time there, as well as our tattoos. My wife and I could not have been, happier to have been able to visit such an amazing place and get such an amazing service at the same time.Go take a look and get some ink! You will not regret it

Such a cool place! Lady Chinchilla is a phenomenal human with wonderful stories and insight to share. It was like visiting old friends. Nicola is a spectacular artist in many mediums and I will be returning for more work. She is very dedicated to listening and understanding what her clients vision for their piece. I am so in love with my new ink! Cant wait to go back. If you have any interest in Tattoo history it is definitely the place to stop. You could a spend days just checking out all the memorabilia related to the craft!🥰

Ive been contemplating getting my first tattoo for six or more months now and even had an artist friend of mine create the artwork.Came into Fort Bragg from our campsite and decided I would visit this shop and maybe even get a smaller tattoo to see if I can even put on my big boy pants and handle needle work on a small tattoo.Nikki Needles saw the drawing of the tattoo Ive been thinking about getting and said that she can do that in three to four hours.I decided I would go for it and she was very gentle with me and did the drawing justice. Not only am I really happy with it, but Ive had perfect strangers asked me about the tattoo which is really cool because I get to share the story in the meaning behind it.Nikki thank you for being patient with me and Ill never forget the 4 hours I got to spend in the shop that day!

Cool little museum to walk thru while we waited for our wild hair girls trip tattoos. Super awesome artists were fun, sociable and made everyone that came through feel super welcome and comfortable.

My friend and I were last-minute walk-ins, and Nicola was able to take care of us right away! She was super friendly and helpful and made the whole experience go so smoothly. We were also lucky enough to meet the legendary Madame Chinchilla when we stopped in.Really reasonable prices ($80 shop minimum), incredible photos and articles in the museum, and full of friendly faces. I live a few hours away, but Ill definitely be making a road trip up here again, and next time, Im bringing friends!

Love this place and will be back there next week.... love these... Okay I made it and nikola was awesome she sat there and drew exactly what I wanted and I love it. This is the cutest little tattoo shop! Me and my friends got tattoos while visiting from idaho and this was one of the highlights of the whole trip.

This place is filled with interesting things to see and learn. It had a little something for everyone to be interested. Definitely a place to check out when in Fort Bragg! The staff was super inviting and encouraging about exploring the shop. We really enjoyed it!

Firstly, I’d like to mention that I’ve only ever given 2 reviews before this. I’m not often inspired or motivated to give a review, so this should already tell you something.Madame Chinchilla and Mr. G are by far the greatest people you will ever encounter. They’re chock-full of stories from their wild days, which always make for great conversation throughout your piece, and are extremely welcoming and friendly. Madame Chinchilla was keen on accommodating me (a last minute arrival) despite busy schedules and a nearing closing time. Mr. G was able to take me on last minute without any fuss. A true gentleman. The piece itself was quite small (I was only in town for that night, so a quickie was necessary–plus, they were closing soon), and a Sailor Jerry tattoo, but Mr. G treated it as if it meant more to me (it does now). Spectacular work, great shading, professionalism. I’ll update with a photo at a later time when it’s all healed up. What was initially supposed to be a “just because” tattoo, became even more through the experience, detail and love put into it.With regard to the museum, it is completely riddled with varying styles of tattoos, their histories, equipments used over the years and photos of Madame Chinchilla and Mr. G throughout their years together (super cute couple btw). There are also a number of books with interesting facts about tattoo culture and history as well as stories of interesting people and their equally interesting body art.We’ll definitely be coming back! Madame Chinchilla says it so. Thank you both for the wonderfully memorable experience!

Niki is talented, funny, and we had a GREAT time while she inked my shoulder. From design to reveal, Niki was professional. She asked lots of questions, listened to my answers, and created a tattoo for me that was exactly perfect. I was also privileged and honored to meet, and spend time talking with, Madame Chinchilla. She is an amazing and lovely lady. My ever patient husband posed with the sign out front.

Madame chinchilla and Mr.G are 2 very lovely people and pioneers of tattooing in general.Alot of traveling artists and regular artist. If you get the chance. Go see nikki needles. So is a good friend, and a kindred spirit that is sure to make you smile, feel right at home, AND give you some AMAZING permanent artwork. I love mine. :)

Amazing museum with a lot of interesting tattoo history- pictures, flashes, everything.World-class drop in tattoos as well - my lady got 1 done, and LOVES it! Great job Triangle Tattoo!

While I wasnt the one who got the tattoo I was impressed with the artists there. Madamme Chinchilla is a very sweet and warm lady and gave a tour of her parlour which is a museum of the history of tattooing. Very interesting place and good people. If youre considering getting a tattoo I would recommend Triangle Tattoo, people come from far away to get them done there and that alone says a lot.

I drive 6 hours to get all of my work done here. You can get a tattoo almost anywhere; but if you want ART that you can truly be proud of go see Niki Needles and Nicola!

I came in with my mom while on vacation. We both got tattoos from Nikola. I loved how she worked with us. My mom is in her late 60s and it was her first tattoo... that she got to honor my grandmothers recent passing. Nikola was awesome with the entire experience, not to mention I love the piece I got from her it is perfect for my grandma. And it healed beautifully.I throughly enjoyed my time spent in the shop, such a great vibe and awesome conversation with both artists. I will definitely come back the next time Im in town.

I love this tattoo parlor! All the staff are stellar. I have gotten 3 different tattoos there. Nicola, Nikki, and Madame Chinchilla are all excellent artists :) Ill be sure to be back and see them again when its time for another tattoo!

This museum is truly mind blowing...Its an absolute TON of history of information, packed into a tiny, fascinating space. There is even a little shop full of bizarre, unique and just plain confusing (in the best possible way) items. The tattoo artists are super friendly and always happy to consult, answer questions or just share a laugh. 10/10 recommend 👍🏻

There is so much to see, every littl corner is filled with tattoo memorabilia and history. Got a personal tour from the owner herself. Sweetest lady ever. Amazing life stories. A real gem!

The most recent bad review was far from our experience today. Nikki and Nikola tattooed myself and my husband for our 1 year wedding anniversary, we were only in town for the weekend and the found a way to squeeze us into the schedule. The two girls were very professional and personable. We laughed and had a great time with them. We wouldn’t have wanted to spend our anniversary with anyone else today bedsides them! Side note= all safety protocols were followed, our health was never in any danger. I would encourage people visiting to check this tattoo shop out, thanks for a great experience ladies! What a great experience. I highly recommend this professional and friendly Tattoo Parlor. The tattoo turned out perfect. They were very clean and I will go back.

My wife and I came into the shop to get tattoos on our honeymoon. There is so much history packed into that place. Very fascinating and super cool! Madame chinchilla was warm, very sweet, and helped me fine tune the placement of the tattoo. The piece was done by NW Niki Needles and she did an amazin job. She was super funny and we had a wonderful time getting to know her. Overall awsome shop and great experience.

I love how they have transformed this tiny tattoo shop into a sort of museum. It definitely is VERY small, so if you are claustrophobic or get dizzy easily, I dont recommend staying for too long. The amount of tattoo history they have covering their walls is fascinating. As we are walking through, we keep seeing photos of this Madame Chinchilla and Mr. G and think, oh those must be some cool famous tattoo people. Suddenly a older woman comes out and starts asking us about the museum and tells us stories about tattooing and come to find out it is Madame Chinchilla herself! She is very sweet and so knowledgeable. I wish I had the time to get tattooed there! Next time Im in Mendocino Ill have to schedule an appointment!

Such a great little tattoo museum & shop. They have a variety of vintage machines, memorabilia, & thousands of pictures to see. Even got a personal walk-thru from Madame Chinchilla (who is great!). Purchased a book full of tattoo history for my husband.

I had my first tattoo done here when I turned 18 (in 1993). I always said I would come back!! Its funky, interesting and although a little pricey, Im 100% comfortable with their sterilization techniques and thats super important to me. Niki was amazing and spent a great amount of time making sure I got what I wanted and would have no regrets. This was a tribute to my stepdad and had to be what I wanted. I cant wait to come back next year with my girls. Thank you Niki!

Triangle Tattoo and Museum is a one of a kind place and experience. As you climb the stairs there must be thousands of photographs and treasures of the tattoo culture and you can tell you are walking into a place full of amazing stories, history and talent. An encounter with Madam Chinchilla or Mr G. is something tattoo enthusiasts dream of. You really feel like your in the presence of legends and it is so lovely they take the time to check in and welcome you.All the artists are all so amazing, always so kind and welcoming - even when one of them is mid-piece they are happy to greet you and let you see what they are working on (as long as their client is okay with it, of course).I have had the pleasure of being tattooed by Niki Needles a couple times and her artwork is spectacular. I am not an artist by any stretch of the imagination and for my first session with her I (very vaguely) described my idea for a coverup. With very little reference to go off if Niki created an amazing piece of art on my back. Thais piece is large and full of color. The color and line work and everything has held up beautifully over the past 3 years and the piece still looks brand new. She approached our sessions with compassion and respect and excitement. I felt like she really enjoyed creating the piece and working with me on it. I proudly show it off and seeing how everyone oooo’s and awwww’s over it, I know how lucky I am to get to have a piece of Niki Needles artwork on my body.I would highly recommend Triangle Tattoo. The history, the talent and the fact that they proudly support female artists are HUGE wins in my book.

Liz was the one to do my tat and she did a really good job. She was very upbeat and had me laughing through most of the work. I would recommend everyone at least come in to check out the museum. It has a lot of history about ink there. Madam Chinchilla was also there and had a lot of stories to tell. It was a great experience.

This place has some incredible artists. Nicola Beatts has done some truly beautiful work on my skin, and I cant imagine going anywhere else for a tattoo. Last time I was here, my kids stopped by and the artists actually applied some temporary tattoos for them 😄

I had a tattoo done this past weekend. Its absolutely beautiful. The artist listened and worked with me for quite some time. The result is a more perfect expression of my vision than I dreamed. My granddaughters went through the museum and were impressed. Mr. G wasnt obviously there but Madame Chinchilla is a treasure.

I’ve been to this place twice, the first time with two of my friends and the second with just my boyfriend and I. I got tattooed by Niki Needles both times I went in and her work is flawless. She has a very gentle and steady hand and her work space is always sterile and organized. Nicola Beatts is the artist that tattooed my boyfriend and one of my friends and I was in love with her work! The atmosphere there is always warm and inviting with very outgoing personalities to talk to throughout the whole tattooing process. The Firebird and Bigfoot were done by Niki and the trident was done by Nicola. 10/10 would recommend going here!!

When I came in, I wandered around for a bit until I met (startled) Nikki, one of the artists. She was super helpful in pointing out where things were and told me to just look around and enjoy myself. I was able to go through any open door to check out the exhibits. It is mostly photos, but there is a lot of really cool tattoo/circus memorabilia as well.I wasnt aware that it was also an active tattoo shop. I had an idea hobbling around my head and mentioned it to the other artist, Scott. He was very friendly and seemed genuinely excited to do the work. We found a font that was good, but he redrew it by hand to make it perfect. And it was. The tattoo itself only took him about 20 minutes to complete and his line work was perfect. It looks like he wrote it with a pen. Im so incredibly happy I popped in on my way to the beach.

We got matching tattoos for honey moon. Nikki was our artist and she was amazing! Convo was great so friendly and her work was flawless! She was very light handed and very professional. The owners are the coolest people if u get a chance to stop by this place is a must see even if ur not getting work done. Thank you for the memories and forever remembrance of our honey moon.

I have been to Fort Bragg several times but had never had the opportunity to visit the Triangle Tattoo & Museum until now. I decided to have a tattoo done in memory of someone I had recently lost and let me tell you, it came out beautifully. I had the pleasure of being tattooed by Nikki, who talked to me through the entire process. She made me feel welcome and relaxed and chatting with her the whole time took my mind off of the pain. She was truly lovely and whats more is that she gave me a beautiful tattoo that I love. I recommend coming here for a tattoo 10 out of 10.

Great little place to visit right on main st. Cool unique Shoppe. Madame chinchilla is a very sweet person, would love to come back to get some tattoo work done. Awesome place! Small Kids friendly not some much! Small tight rooms with collectables and glass cases floor to ceiling art. Perfect for teens and adults.

Walked in today with a simple request to have a semi colon tattoo done in remembrance of my husband that committee suicide 3 years ago. I knew I was in the right place when I walked in and meet madam Chinchilla and told her want I wanted and why and she said Mr. G would do my tattoo. It was my first tattoo and they made it such a special occasion.I happen to have some of my husbands ashes in the necklace I was wearing and Mr. G asked if I would like some of them added into the ink for my tattoo. I thought that would be a great tribute to my husband As he would have loved this place. He carefully open the necklace and added some into the ink. Mr. G and Madam Chinchilla were very attentive with me and my daughter the whole time and made this seem as special to them as it was to us.Thank you for such a moment 💕

WAY OVERPRICED! Nikki needles thinks her work was kissed by all the gods and goddesses but in reality it’s mediocre at best. She does not charge hourly, she charges depending on whether she has a motorcycle payment that week or not. The whole process is unsanitary, she does not wear gloves, wipes her runny nose with her hand and continues working. All this during COVID. Showed up late to her appointment and still had the audacity to charge $300 for a tattoo that took 30 mins. She actually said that Mr. G and Chinchilla hired her because of her ability to churn out many tattoos a day. In other words she pride herself in quantity over quality. Speaking of quality, it’s been a week and her work is spotty all over. That’s why I am bitter, she charged $300 dollars for a 30 min tattoo that sucks! Go to Fort Bragg for the beach, but please do not get a tattoo with Nikki needles, you’ll regret it.

Triangle Tattoo & Museum in Fort Bragg California is one amazing place to experience!Mr G. was kind enough to attend a Career Day Zoom presentation as guest speaker for one of our high school classes. He was scheduled for a half hour time slot but was asked to stay for an hour!His presentation covered the History of where, why, who, and how body painting got started. And how it progressed to modern day. He had a terrific slide show depicted the many cultures across the world use of it.He covered how women became part of it and why. How the depression and wars played a part in it and so much more. Mr. G shared his personal experiences in tattooing.He is an amazing tattoo artist that is highly knowledgeable, skilled, amiable, imagineable,Creative, and respectful.The Museum part is equally as amazing g as it has historic tools and images to enjoy and be intrigued by. It is a must see!He is coming back for an encore!!!

Nevermind Glass Beach..Hit up the Triangle Tattoo Museum first!What an amazing collection of history!Was fortunate enough to meet Madame Chinchilla herself back In 2015 when we passed through. She is such a gem!Viewing the artwork on the walls alone could take an afternoon.Definitely a ten out of ten!

Funky little place with a lot of cool history. I definitely recommend checking it out if you are in the area. Staff will give you a tour and tell you about all the photos if you ask. Has displays on tattoo traditions from around the world and some antique tattoo machine rigs. Long narrow flight of stairs to get in, so it is not wheelchair accessible unfortunately.

Got quoted a few hundred dollars for a small (maybe 4 inches long) single word tattoo with a simple font. I get being the only tattoo shop in town and being able to charge more but Jesus. Price gouging at its finest.

Museum was free and there were a lot of cool pictures and art, but tour was self guided and most was information you could find online.

Went in for a walk in, they said theyd call. We waited all day and they never called. Dont waste your time on a walk in. Maybe appointments are better
