Went and got my tragus pierced by Crystal today. I was so nervous but she was awesome and I love my new piercing! She was very kind and patient with me. She answered all of my questions and was very thorough.Everyone there was very friendly… when I thought I was going to pass out, another employee let me hold her hand 😂 and another one got me water and they let me stay until I felt ok!This will definitely be my new go-to piercing spot!

Haley crushed it! I told her very basically what I want, she quickly realized i dont care about the details like what number i want here or there, and did a great job making me look sharp. plus everyone was chill and i like the chat (except when she did the beard cause i am a statue lol) Dont know other barbers in the area but I know I found mine!

It’s taking me a while to find a shop that I feel at home at. Great artists and a wonderful environment. This season they did a toys for tots event and brought out a bunch of the community together for a awesome cause! from the barbers to the tattooers this is one shop you need to walk in to see for yourself but here’s some artwork from Molly Gotlib. Once you find an artist that is so Dedicated and creative there’s no reason to go to anyone else. But go see for yourself and ask for the owner Cracker, he’s leave you with a lasting impression from a family man to the guy you can rely on. A1 tattoo is a “mom and pop shop” and a true image of if you work your hardest you can get anything complicated.

Thank you to this family run shop for helping our family get our 7 matching tattoos. They were patient and made it a great experience for all of us. Including the 2 who never had a tattoo before!

My son Matt & I just finished getting Tats. The design was drawn by Ham. He has an Amazing Artistic Ability! Very detailed....its Sick! Cracker did actual Tat. As expected, his work is Excellent! Josh was the absolute best barber i have ever experienced in life. 10/10 highly recommend. If you go, ask for Josh but try to make an appointment because he is the hot commodity barber there 👍🏾

Always a great experience at A1, whether we go for a piercing or tattoos were never disappointed! On the last visit, I took my daughter for a piercing with Crystal she is awesome! She is very thorough in explaining what to expect and how to care for the piercing & any questions we had she had no problem answering. Crystal is well-educated in her field of work, and Im very comfortable with her doing my daughters piercings! I highly recommend A1 !! So this from what I know is the only tattoo/barbershop in South nj. The atmosphere reflects the artist/barbers that work here. They are fun, stylish, great conversationalists and specialist in their craft. Granted I have only gotten haircuts here but tattoos are lined up. Everytime I got for a haircut its both quick easy and above all comfortable. They know what looks good on me based on face shape, previous hairstyles. I love coming here and there is no question if it will come out good ,it always does! Appointments are required giving both piece of mind to yourself and the barbers. If you ever have a chance try it out yourself and book today.

Just found out a year later that the guy who did my tattoo was not liscensed to do so! It was an awful experience and I wouldn’t recommend going here for a tattoo.

Crystal is the best! I had an emergency & needed to get my triple helix piercings removed from a previous piercer & she did it no problem & very very sweet (: would def recommend! Have also had two tattoos done by the owner cracker & he did an amazing job! An all around great place to go for a piercing or tattoo (:

I got my haircut by Darren. Very professional and takes his time to make sure that he got everything he needed and didnt miss a spot. His work area is always spotless and organized and his tools are always clean and sanitized. Would recommend this place to anybody looking for a new barber!

Brian did a great job on my two tattoos. The atmosphere is laid back, and welcoming, Im not sure what some of these other reviews are talking about. Sounds like theyre referring to a different place. I was pleased with my experience, and will be going back for all of my tattoos from here on out.

I went here to get my septum pierced last summer and it was great! Just went back to get a small tattoo and they were very kind! I love the tattoo and fair price!

I knew from the phone conversation before I ever set foot in the building that my experience there was going to be great. He was enthusiastic about the the work my nephew and I wanted done, and even more so when we went to set an appointment for the next evening. I was not disappointed. Excellent work Ham - its my favorite piece out of all the work Ive had done so far ! Ill definitely be coming back to have you do the others we talked about.

I have always went to other places and got a plain buzz cut. After James did my beard for my wedding I knew I could trust him. I went in and asked for his opinion on what type of haircut I should get and this is the first time in my life I feel happy with my hair. By far the best experience I had and James is such a relatable person who loves his job and just makes it a comfortable atmosphere. I would recommend him to everyone.

I have now gotten three tattoos from Molly and I cant recommend her highly enough. Her work is awesome - people compliment me on my Taz tattoo all the time. Shes professional, easy to talk to, and just an all around cool person. Seriously, go get tattoo(s) from her.The shop is clean, theres great music, and the artists are awesome.

I’ve gotten my haircut by Darren Parisano a few times and the attention to detail as well as the “future” view I had he understood to a T! As long as Darren cuts hair, he’ll be my one and only barber. I’ve truthfully never been so happy with a haircut until Darren understood the look I was going to and even explained what he does to achieve that for me in the future. 10/10 welll worth Every. Single. Penny. Its clear to be his passion and I am willing and joyfully eager to feed said passion.

This is the only shop I will get tattoos in south Jersey. Every tattoo I have from this shop is solid and bright. The shop has been around 1999 and has aged very well. The experience in the people that work here is absolutely astounding. If you are near south jersey and want tattoos that are bold and will hold, this is the place to go.

Super clean, great service! Pierced my lip and I didnt even feel it! Changed out my nipple bars, unfortunately my one was pierced incorrectly so she told me to take it out and Ill be back in a month for her to pierce it correctly!! GREAT EXPERIENCE!

Clean work done in a nice shop by cool people. I was there to support my folks and happily met with a real charming family. The artist, Cracker, is a talented tattooist and FAST!

My daughter wanted her ears piecred last year and we came here as a recommendation from a friend (thanks Skye). My daughter changed her mind at last second, which the piercer was very understanding of. I wound up getting my noise pierced.

Work was good...so far. My best friend and I got a quote tattoo that took 18 minutes each no detail and was charged $125 each person for a total of $250. I feel like i was robbed...being charged too much. Artist was worried about going to philly afterwards...charged us prices of whatever he was going to be after in Philly.

The ONLY place I go for tattoos and piercings. A1 has extremely talented artists who work with you to make sure that your tattoo comes out with exactly how you want it.Cracker did 3 of mine and he is so talented at what he does, my arm piece came out even better than I hoped. Almost one year later and my tattoo is as vivid as the day I had it done.I suffer from chronic migraines that were completely debilitating, I was having migraines almost daily for several months. I read about the diath piercing and how it’s supposed to help with migraines and decided to give it a shot. Crystal did my piercing and I have not had anything worse than a few moderate headaches since. I can’t guarantee that this piercing will work for everyone but it was a total game changer for me.I would recommend A1 to anyone wether you want a piercing or a tattoo, they’re the place to go. You truly get what you pay for at A1, go check them out!!!

I called asked if they did walk ins. I told them is be there by 7:15. I walked in was met by Ham and Cracker was at his station. Was welcomed by both. I felt very comfortable and appreciated. I will be going again thats for sure.
