Smokin Joes Tattoo

I never leave reviews but Smoking Joe deserves it! He got my friends in with short notice. His mock ups were spot on and did amazing work. Experience matters people, and smoking joes has it! Super nice guy as well. 11/10 would recommend.

I’ve gotten two piercings here and both went horribly wrong. Jen did my industrial piercing and pierced it too close to the outside of my cartilage so it got caught on a towel and ripped through my cartilage, thankfully it healed back together. I also got my belly button done here, Jen went halfway through my skin, pulled it back out (I’m assuming she didn’t know how thick my skin was) and then continued to rip it back through again, that was the first time I’ve yelled over a piercing. You’re better off going to Kyle at Revolution, I’ve had 8 other piercings done by him and none have been infected and none have been pierced improperly.

Joe was the first one to open a Tattoo shop(1990) in Grand Island. He is one of two people that I trust to work on me or my family. It was an honor to have him tattoo my son.

I had called earlier in the day to ask about getting my eyebrow pierced again, the dude I talked to was super cool and told me that he was about to pick up the gal that does the piercing and that she would be there til 8pm. So when I got off at 5pm I drove across town after work to get this done. The guy at the counter looked up from his phone to tell me she had already left for the day. He laughed and found it quite amusing that I had called earlier and said that it was her husband that I talked to, still laughing. Super disappointed! One star for answering the phone

Went with a friend. Piercer forgot to put the fastner into earring. She also used earrings that were too short and created discomfort when ear was swollen the most. Also was never informed of changing out earring after 6-8 weeks. Went to another tattoo parlor who swapped out earring. Immediately felt relief as she removed the earring that was getting embedded into my ear. Nice lady but clueless when it comes to piercings

DO NOT GO HERE!!Don’t put down a deposit if changing your mind for whatever the reason is a possibility. I put down a deposit on a tattoo and realized that this place does a horrible job and wanted to take my business elsewhere. Obviously didn’t tell them that but they refused to give me the deposit back. Not one person there said deposits were non refundable. Was messaged later and was told there is a big sign somewhere in the shop about it which I never saw. I never signed anything at all either. Terrible place. Do not recommend. Read all the bad reviews and look at all the pictures before you place a deposit.

They are truly the best. Clean and friendly environment. Would recommend them to anyone looking to get some work done. I got my first tattoo 8 years ago and I am a regular at the tanning salons and Lil Joe has never had to touch up my tat. He is an awesome guy and knows his stuff. I plan on going to him again to get the rest of my tats.

Made my appointment with Lil Joe. My husband had an appointment with Smokin Joe at the same time.We got our ink done at the Sturgis Rally, and were not disappointed in the least.Professional, clean, super friendly and not over priced. Will always go back to them when in Sturgis.Thank you for the great memory, guys!

Out of the five artists Ive visited in Nebraska this is by far the worst in terms of quality, value, and general humans. Id rather tattoo myself with a rake than interact with these jokes again.

Was quoted a price for work done. When they were finished it was $400 more than they said it would be. The tattoo is extremely crooked and off center and they will not fix it or do anything as far as a refund of any money goes. I saw the artist just pocket the extra $400 right in front of me while what he origionally quoted me went in the register. Was charged by the hour but this time seem to include him talking to his friends and going out to smoke multiple times. I still have money on the books because I was going to come back but I will not be returning unless the do something to make what happened right. They will not give my money I had put down for returning back either. I chose to go here because I heard such good things about them and for how long they have been a tattoo shop staple in Grand Island. Very sad and dissappointed in my entire experience here. I wish they would make an attempt to make things right. The messed up tattoo is nearly a quarter sleeve so it is not something tiny that would be simple to get covered up.

I have had three piercings so far from here, and I plan to keep returning. Kyle is extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and always offers a lot of different options, or at least make me aware that there are some. Highly recommend getting pierced here! edit: ALSO, always remember to tip your piercers!

Their the best & kno wat the hell their doing. I will only get tattoos from them. Their family & my friends. Ive never had an issue w/ them or with tattoos. My tattoos healed within 3 to 5 days. Love ya lil Joe, ur sis Kim Mack

First i got my tounge done, great experience, but he nicked my tendon and its crooked and itmhas a bump on top and a bigger one one the bottom, then I got 2 dermals done and they started to come out when I went in with his card and my info that he copied he said I dont remeber piercing you so I ended upmwith 2 nasty looking scars. I went back to my guy in kearney and I showed him the jewelry and the clear gems had turned green!!! Discusting I only had them for almost 2 months....dont waste your time here

As an adult receiving adult type services , It is unappealing to me to have cartoons on the TV and the employees child running about. The waiting are is not clean, carpet dirty n stuff on floor. Cleanliness is a top priority. The employees were too busy talking and didnt appear very interested in assisting client Elle.

Loved the experience, did all my peircings and so patient and reassuring, they always look great and always so clean and nice, 10/10 definitely recommend

Got my tattoo done by Joe himself. Did a terrible job. Then over charged me for it. Very low quality. Had to go to another place just to get it fixed. Would never advise anyone to go here.

Not a bad place had one of my tattoos redone there by Joe and forgot to ask if they took cards. Had no issue with me running to the bank and getting enough to pay them after doing the work

Rude an i will never go there again got a piercing done by kyle an it got an infected the next day i called up there to see what i can do to make the infection go he said take care of it like u are supposed too i said well duh ik that an its only been a day since i got it an its infected an he said well theres nothing i can do about it an he hung the phone up on me i called back an he told me that not to blow up his phone

Lil Joe gladly stayed after hours to get a tattoo done on me and one on my girlfriend his tattoos are great work one of my favorite pieces very friendly helpful and great priced
