Called in for a walk in they said yes I got Meg is my artist she killed it and gave me a stunning tattoo and the whole shop was a vibe along with the artist.

First tattoo here, and Im glad I did it here. The staff was great.We came here on a Sunday and it was St. Patricks day. They have a special the whole month for their lucky charms. It was pack when we got in and a lot of the people were already lined up. It took us about 2 to 3 hours to finally be our turn. Rachel in the front guided us through the paper works and such. She was very attentive.The wait was worth it. Most of our party had our charms done by Olivia. She was the glowing star of our visit here. MVP. After watching her repetitive but important cleaning duties all day between charms and suffer from her aching back(please give her equipment meant for tall people!), she was still able to help our fresh skins go through the process with proper attention and ease! Thank you, Olivia!My charm itself turned out well and I love it.I would highly recommend this place and would actually come back for more. The staff really lured me in.Thank you all!

I went to this tattoo shop recently and here are pictures of what my healed skin looks like. The first picture is what it looked like immediately after the artist was done. The second picture was taken later that day when I got home. Then the 3rd picture of it completely healed. You can see blistering and where she cut me with the needle over the words “my” and “weakness”. It’s frustrating when people ask me what my tattoo even says because you can’t even read it. Please don’t waste your money on this place.

This place is amazing! Ramona has done most of my piercings and she’s the best. Kelsey does my wife’s tattoos and they are KILLER! Can’t recommend highly enough!

Made an appointment with Meg today at 4pm for 8pm to get a Robert Englund autograph permanent after being turned away by another shop. She was more than happy to do it and did so with utmost care and reverence. 10/10

I have many experiences with this place, thats why I keep coming back, because theyve all been AMAZING experiences!Meg is just a beautiful soul that wants your to be able to express yourself and shell keep it real with you and help you to achieve your goal! Theyre flexible, just talk to them and work with them! All the people that work at this location are beautiful people, lets keep it real. Once I found this place, I decided to never go anywhere else. I came in here back in 2017 to get my septum pierced and everyone was friendly and did a great job at making me feel comfortable. Although I find it very important for me to share that at the time I came here I was 18, in college, and barely could afford this piercing but I appreciated my piercer and tipped her about 40%. I am still extremely upset with how the piercing came out. It was done incorrectly and I had that verified by 3 other piercers from other shops. They recommended I go back in and ask them to redo it for me. When I did this they told me “my anatomy” was just different so that’s why my piercing was so much lower and not even through the sweet spot. It was crooked but I believe that it actually due to me having a slightly deviated septum and I didn’t mind that. They offered to redo it, but only if I paid for it again… I lived with this on my face and being self conscious for 5 years until I went to another shop this year and I had it redone exactly how it was supposed to be done back then. I have heard countless negative things about this shop— piercings and tattoos. However I believe there is also room for learning and growth. I would have never had an issue with the mistakes they made on myself and others if they actually tried to make up for it. Please do better in the future, body modifications are not cheap and they affect folks’ self esteem if not done correctly. Thanks.

Recently got my septum pierced by Ramona! Also not my 1st time getting a piercing with them.Always super professional, friendly, and does a great job at making you as comfortable as possible. Great vibes from the shop all around :)

My naval piercing came out terrible right after the piercing it was extremely painful and uncomfortable. I made sure every day multiple times a day I cleaned it as they instructed. By day 3 I could barely sit correctly due to how bad it hurt.Then a week later I woke up and it was red and infected with stuff all around it so I cleaned it and I was tearing up the whole time I then went to another piercer and they had told me that I should not have gotten the piercing and it was irresponsible for them to give me that piercing and I had to take it out and Im not left with a scar on my stomach from someone being irresponsible please dont go there.

Olivia was awesome! Super professional, super kind, easy to talk to, and we banged it out in no time. 10/10, would get poked again.

Piercer was super nice but I later realized i was pierced too high. A 10mm bar is too short and a 14mm bar is way to big and the 12mm bar is not the best fit either 🙁

This place is amazing! Love the atmosphere, decor and the lovely ladies here took such good care of me. I had Lizzie Starr as my artist and she was nothing but polite, professional, and just a total sweetheart!! She was very thorough during the entire process and I can honestly say I can’t wait to go back and have her do my next tattoo!

Ramona and team were excellent at handling my 8 year old sons ear piercings. Coached him through every step of the way and was extremely patient with him. This is the second time weve been here and would absolutely recommend this clean and friendly establishment. Keep up the great work!!

I took my daughter to get her belly button pierced and Ramona was awesome! She is a very talented and beautiful soul. I’m so grateful we had the opportunity to meet her. My daughter LOVES her piercing and loved the entire experience and how she was treated by Ramona. Well worth the 2.5 hour drive! We’ll be back if we need more things pierced in the future!

I have been searching for a “home” for getting tattoos and I finally found it. I adored the vibes at Black Lace and instantly felt at home among the amazing, funny, and super kind artists and piercers. My tattoo artist, Kelsey, was so patient with me on selecting the ultimate placement for my tattoo and she was incredibly thorough in perfecting the tattoo. Staff was not very welcoming, and were snobby. Literally were passing notes with each other at the front desk as I was sitting there waiting. it seemed that i didn’t fit into their criteria of people that get the judgment free, personalized tattoo/piercing experience. My emails to my tattoo artist regarding a touch up for a tattoo they did that lost quite a lot of ink during the healing process (even though i cared for it exactly as they told me to) and a possible new tattoo that i was looking to get help making a design for have been ignored. Prices have been increased and their website was not updated about this beforehand. I also think it is outrageous that they charge $60 for two ear piercings???I will never come here again. And it seems they won’t mind in the slightest considering that none of the staff were very welcoming to begin with. I am very disappointed.

I would totally recommend getting pierced here wheather its your first time or youve done this a million times. Location is super clean and had a very welcoming environment. Ramona did an amazing job with my nose and was amazing. I will note that you dont get to pick your initial jewelry incase that matters

I got a tattoo done by Meg. She was quick and efficient and reasonably priced. She worked with the design I created to make an amazing tattoo. The lines are so perfect I will definitely come back to her for my future tattoos. Highly recommended the establishment as a whole as well. It was clean, and bright and super welcoming.

Ramona & Meg are heaven sent! I needed my septum ring replaced and my nails are so long I had difficulties.. I went to another shop around the corner who said they couldn’t “see” and couldn’t help me.. Ramona change out my ring so quickly I didn’t even notice it was out and my new ring was in. Legit will be coming back for tattoo/piercing.. this is my new fave shop🥹

I loved getting my tattoo at Black Lace Ink! The shop was clean and inviting. The atmosphere was really chill and most of all, Meg was the best! She was gentle, took her time, and did excellent work! I would recommend that anyone get their tattoos here!

I heard this placed mentioned on Nextdoor as women owned and run and had to check it out. I made my appointment for a consultation for their Piercings for a Cure for my migraines. Unfortunately, during this time, I suffered a very tragic and unexpected loss of my husband. I thought about cancelling my appointment as I spiraled into a deep depression and began to have paralyzing anxiety attacks, which just made my migraines even worse. I decided to go through with the consultation and met with Meg. She is a godsend! She was very caring and compassionate!! She explained the entire process, answered all of my questions and NEVER rushed me....best of all she said she thought she could help. I have seen a noticeable difference with my anxiety attacks. As for my migraines, I wasnt expecting too much as my condition is quite severe but I have seen a bit of a difference there too. It was well worth it!! I was so impressed, I brought my daughter and she got her piercing done by Meg as well. I will be coming back for a memorial tattoo for my husband. I graciously asked Meg to take care of it for me and I know it will be amazing. I cant wait. Thank you so much ladies!! I wish there were more stars to give 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟!!!!!!

Phenomenal tattoos. Been going here for years and will continue to go for decades to come. Meg is awesome to work with as is every other employee. Its like therapy and visiting the whacky family you didnt know you had all in one. I wouldnt trust anywhere else to do a tattoo right. Highly recommend to all.

Just got my septum done with Ramona and she was awesome! It was my first piercing so i was SUPER nervous but she made it so easy and painless and made sure i was comfortable. I came with my coworker and we did have to wait because we didn’t have an appointment but the service was great!

Ive gotten probably close to a dozen tattoos done there and I keep coming back because their work is super high quality and they are super welcoming and awesome. The prices are definitely fair, especially for the quality they offer. Really pleased with the piercings my daughter and I got. I had my nostril pierced and my daughter had her lobes done. I brought her here because I wanted a professional to Pierce her ears, not a cashier with a gun like the places in the mall. The pierced did such a great job that she has had no bruising, bleeding, or pain during maintenance. I will be coming her again for piercings in the future.

Got my nostril pierced. Another tattoo artist, along with her client & their guest were all 3 not wearing masks. The tattoo she was working on was on the girl’s knee so masks on them should have been no problem. I had also forgotten to ask what metal they pierced with until after, and they pierced me with surgical steel instead of implant grade titanium. From every other good piercer I’ve spoken to & read articles from, you shouldn’t get pierced with anything but implant grade titanium. They assured me surgical steel is fine as well, and from what I understand it’s a mystery mix of metals. I’m allergic to various metals, so fingers crossed I don’t have a reaction I guess.

Loved it!! My son-in-law recommended this place to me. I took my daughter in today to get a nose piercing for her bday. We were greeted since we opened the door. Very welcoming. Jessie took our info and she pierced my daughters nose. Talked her through the process. Thank you Jessie.. I’ll be back for sure for my next tattoo.

Update 2022:This was the only tattoo I got here. I forgot to update this but the next one I tried to get she tried to charge me another deposit fee after i paid her like $100 already. I had to cancel because I thought I had COVID I was waiting for my test results. She told me I still had to put down another $70 for a deposit for a tattoo I didnt really like that she drew up for me. I ended up just going with a different artist who never made me pay even more because of the pandemic.This tattoo worked out great because I found it online so she was able just to copy it. I really wanted morecworkcdonr by her but after the second experience with being charged again even after I paid a deposit and have her tip money for working on my design..... just not okay.FEB 2020: I really loved Lizzie Starrs watercolor work! She was very easy to work with and talk to. Great vibe! Thanks again for the amazing tattoo Lizzie!

Got my navel piercing done here. Ramona was friendly and did an amazing job with placement and the actual piercing. Will go back again for more!

Approved a mark for a nose piercing placed further down on my nose and ended with something placed a few mm higher. Told to keep it and let it heal, but upon getting a second opinion from a different shop, I was prompted to take it out and get it done right at a later time. Didnt resolve my issue in email and ultimately lost out on $50, as the piercing came out a day after the service. I really miss Jessies services! Two stars because I really enjoyed going to this shop prior, but theyre not great at correcting flawed services 😔

Olivia is the greatest! It was my first tattoo. She made sure I was comfortable, knew what was going on and that I liked the direction the tattoo was going. My whole family goes to Olivia for all their various tattoos and we will all be back!

Took advantage of their Halloween special. $20 tats and real happy with the results. Olivia was super nice and gentle. Like the idea that first touch up is free since it sounds like Ill definitely need one for my index finger magic wand :)

I took my 10 year old daughter here to get her ears pierce . Everyone at Black Lace Ink was simply spectacular! My daughter felt safe and supported, and they made sure Dad was comfortable too. I would recommend here for anyone needing a tattoo or a piercing. I cant recommend highly enough!

I have been getting my last few pieces and piercings done here and I gotta say, my life has changed. It is an all-women staff and are willing to work with you and have a warm interior look. You feel safe and clean and trustful.

My daughter and I drove 2 and a half hours to get our noses pierced because shes 15 and they wouldnt do it in WI and it was the most AMAZING experience! Jen was awesome and so patient. Id 1000% recommend them to anyone!!!!

My sister and I went there to get piercings. They said all of the piercings we wanted wouldn’t work on our ears. My sister wanted a flat piercing and the piercer marked cartilage piercings. I ended up getting a piercing that the piercer said would work for me ear, mind you it isn’t what I wanted to begin with. I was never given care instructions on how to take care of the piercing. It is now infected. Will not be coming back to the shop.*UPDATE* after a year of trying to get my piercing to heal, I finally decided to take the piercing out as it is STILL getting infected. I have never in my life had an infected piercing. I’m a nurse and keep my piercings very clean.

Had the best piercing experience today. The shop has a fun vibe. Ramona was amazing. So personable and professional. I would highly recommend this shop for piercings.

I went there to get my first tattoo and realized after I got it that they used way too thick of a needle and my tattoo looked blurry, i told them then got my next one there and loved it, got the touch up and she messed up the lettering, now its stuck on me forever. They were all sitting on their phones and come off rude. Save your self and go to good family down the street! I would not go back there at Black Lace. Very disappointing.

They were okay. My friend and I went in for piercings and we stayed for a while, I knew what I wanted but my friend was unsure so we talked about it to ourselves. As soon as we felt ready, we went to the counter to talk to the employees, and as soon as I started talking, another woman walked into the shop, and they instantly ignored us for what I assume is a regular. Pretty unprofessional. So I got both of my nostrils done, and this isnt my first time having them done, and Ive never had a piercer use a taper to get the jewelry in after piercing my nostril, so that caught me off guard. My friend couldnt decide on what she wanted and so she had a few dots placed for visualization. What I assumed was the owner/manager seemed a little impatient and was always walking around, smoking cigarettes, or eating. Every time my friend had a question, she was always gone and we had to wait for her. None of the other employees could help us and so that was mildly frustrating.All together it was an alright experience.I took a chance and decided to stray away from my favorite shop, Good Family Tattoo, and ultimately, I wasnt impressed.

I got my nose pierced here and my nose kept getting infected I did everything they told me to. I already have my left side pierced so I know what to do I never got any infection from that side. So I wanted to get the other side and I went through them well bad choice. See for your self I don’t recommend

I got my tragus done here and realized later while cleaning it that she used too short of a bar so the stud was digging into my skin and I had no room to clean it properly.I had to get it changed out , by a other shop, where we realized, she used a screw NOSE STUD in my ear.Extremely dissatisfiedWill not be returning. Do not recommend for any piercings.

We came an hour away for the Halloween special flash sale and had our friend meet us there. She was there for about 15 mins before we got there. Once we arrived we went to the front desk ( where my friend was standing ) and said we where here for the flash special. The lady then said they where fully booked. Why would you not Announced that to the 5 people standing in the lobby! Also I told her we just drove an HOUR to be here and she said “sorry”. If you run a special you as a shop should have your people better staffed !!! I know us 3 won’t be back or any of our friends or their friends. #sorrynotsorry

Great people, awesome environment. This place is brand new and makes you feel right at home. Great artists, they really take what is in your head and turn it into a work of art. Got my first one done and working on a much bigger piece :-)

I absolutely love black lace. All the girls here are extremely nice and welcoming. I was able to get a quick, small tattoo and a consult for a later cover up. I will definitely continue to go here.

This place was a disaster. never been dealt with this way at ANY TATTOO shop. my first impression of the place was that it looked like somebody’s grandmother projectile vomited all over the place. it was the furthest thing from a tattoo shop. ive never been to a place that does tattoos that sells knitted blankets and painted Sesame Street rocks at the front counter. it was so unprofessional. their tattoos were straight off of Pinterest. I know this because I had the exact ones pinned for inspiration. so...ripping off other artists? scummy. their work was the furthest from original. we immediately bolted for the exit. i would advise anyone with common sense to take their money elsewhere for a tattoo worth your money and time.

Simply the ABSOLUTE Best... great people! Wonderful owner! Very Clean! Accommodating! Funny!! So far I have had two marvelous experiences.... very professional as well... will be seeing them very soon again 🥰🥰🥰🧿🙏🏼

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! I had my tragus done and they used too small of jewelry and it got lodged in my ear 2 days after getting pierced. I went back and I had to get a bigger size bar in my tragus which really hurt and she put a labret jewelry in it with a curved bar. About a week later i noticed it was still very swollen and sore and getting bumps on both sides. I asked the piercer what was going on and she told me to pop it. Ive had a number of piercings in the past and I know you should never pop something like that. I decided to just let it be and a month passed and nothing was happening it was still in so much pain, swollen, looked infected and bleeding when the jewelry would be moved. I didnt wanna go back to Black Lace Ink because at this time i did not trust what she had done. So I had to drive an hour Chicago to go to the piercer that i have always went to in the past. Just to be told that whoever did this did it VERY WRONG. He had told me it was wedged into the wrong part of the cartilage and would likely never heal right especially because of the curved bar in there. I had to get it taken out. I WOULD NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS PLACE. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

I was supposed to have gotten tattooed however, there was an issue that arose and the tattoo did not happen.Under the circumstances something that would have been in question was resolved with no discussion .Once my schedule opens up in the late summer / early fall Ill be heading in for a new addition to my ever growing collection

Meg is the best! The whole shop is very professional and does great work. Ive been tattooed and pierced and I recommend both services. This will be the only place I get any work done.

If ur thinking of getting ur septum pierced DO NOT go to black lace ink. I went into side show in lakemoore to get it removed because it was rejecting from misplacement. The gauge of the jewelry was too big and so heavy I could feel it pulling down on my nose. There is a place in ur nose for the piercing to go , she went way under causing it to get infected and reject. Please do ur research before getting a piercing.

I was very impressed ! The entire staff was nice and accommodating, the store was nicely decorated and very clean. I needed my ears re-pierced, sterile technique was followed strictly,I highly recommend them.

My friend got an ankle tattoo of an owl and though she said admits to slightly moving because it hurt, the person giving her the tat was obviously new and her hand was shaking the whole time. Compared to the original sketch, the head of the owl is very crooked, the eyes completely wrong one way too big the other squashed together, drawn too close together, the wings had a thicker stroke than the rest of the tat, the feathers overlapped each other in a messy formation. She regrets it and is looking for a place for a cover up. For her first tat, really disappointing.

Tried getting ahold of this shop for 2 days. No one answered the phone or returned my message (I called during business hours) and no one replied to my message on their website at all. It’s now been 4 days. Disappointing since I’ve been there before a couple years back and had a pretty good experience.

Went in for a standard doubles ear piercing and they pierced so close to my first hole that I had to take out the doubles immediately.

Got my 4 year olds ear pierced after a consultation. It went great and there were no tears.
