I’ve gotten several pieces by Joel and he is by far the best artist I’ve ever worked with! He takes his time with my ideas and brings them to life. He’s had to fix and/or cover a few of mine and I’m blown away every time. I get stopped daily and asked about my tattoos and that speaks for itself!

Awesome job! Joel has talent beyond measure and makes you feel comfortable throughout the experience. I will be back… again and again to finish up my sleeve.

I have 3 tattoos 1 of which was a cover up! My wife has 3 tattoos all done or touched up by Joel! Hes an amazing artist. We wont go to anyone else! We drive 3 hours just to have him put his Awesome Art on us! Him and his wife Katherine are great and nice people! I highly recommend Studio 1891 to anyone wanting great art!

This is a very clean and professional shop. On his reputation alone I drove my daughter 3 hours to get her 1st tattoo. 0-10 I give this shop a 15!

Joel did a tattoo on me around 8 years ago that I am now getting removed. This was a very, very simple tattoo and somehow he still messed it up. The tattoo should have been horizontal and is literally just roman numerals but it was crooked from the start and as I am building muscle now it is getting even more crooked and is a bit disappointing to say the least. Just leaving this review now 8 years later because as we all know tattoos are permanent and this is something I see everyday and now will be paying over $1,000 and many sessions to have it removed. I am not the only one who has had poor tattoos done by Joel and I should have listened when my friends complained about theirs but I was young and such is life. I would be wary of going to Joel and certainly would never recommend him to someone else. I would hope he has gotten better by now but he had been in the game for years at that point and still somehow. made. a. roman. numeral. tattoo. crooked. Literally so easy.... Either way, I think Joel is a nice guy but dang this tattoo should have been done better...

Joel is outstanding. My twin sister got her first tattoo from Joel. She raved about Joel and his caring attitude and patients. I never wanted a tattoo but, when we came to our cabin in Blairsville, I stopped and spoke with Joel and his brother. They made me feel like old time friends and put no pressure on me. I ended up getting two tattoos. He IS an artist. Took my ideas and just amazed me with his imagination. HIGHLY recommend.Mark VargoBrandon, FL

My mom and I went for tattoos for my 18th birthday 4 and a half years ago, and they look just as bright and awesome as the day we got them done. And Joel goes out of his way to talk to you and make you comfortable!

I cant say enough about this tattoo parlor. Joel Bauer is an OUTSTANDING Artist. Stefan is great as well. Piercings are spot on. Joel completed my full back piece, I couldnt be happier
