I’ve had seven pieces done by Jon over about 9 years. He’s amazing, award winning, and just an awesome human being in general. Only person I’ve ever trusted to do work on me because I know how much of a perfectionist he is as an artist, and the pieces hold up exceedingly well over time (I have them on my arms, shoulders, and chest). If you’re gonna give someone the work, might as well give it to someone who really deserves it right?The place itself is impeccably clean and everyone I’ve interacted with there over the years has been incredibly kind. I live about a half hour away and I understand the “go local” sentiment and such, but for me it’s absolutely (no pun intended) worth it to make a bit of a drive, both for the Absolute in general and for Jon specifically.Attached is a picture of my most recent piece. Simple, but you notice the imperfections the most on those. Jon’s line work is absolutely insane.

I have to say I am extremely happy with my tattoos that I have received at Absolute Tattoo! Jon D. Is one hell of an artist and very sweet. I am someone who has extreme anxiety and really only trust him to do my tattoos. This is a great place and Megan is an awesome Piercer! 10000% recommended.

Been going to this shop since high school, a decade or more. Great artist and great piercers. MEGAN IS THE GOAT! She always does a great job explaining every piercing, the procedure and does great/ clean work. She’s done multiple piercings for me and always does a great job. She has a comforting energy and is thorough. I always recommend her.

Got mother/daughter piercings twice here and Meagan was so nice! All piercings were done quick and easy. Meagan was very patient and has a soft hand for piercings. She let us rest for a little after and waited until we felt good. She made our experience great!

Zan is the ONLY tattoo artist in the San Antonio area to go to!!! Very professional, ensured the HIGHEST level of customer service, and ensured the tattoo was perfect. If you dont get your tattoo by Zan, you are shorting yourself and your tattoo. She was personable and ensured customer satisfaction throughout the entire experience.

Adolfo has pierced not only me, but several of my family members and friends. He’s so nice AND he distracts you while you’re getting the piercing so it’s over before you know it. 10/10 would recommend!

I’ve gotten a few piercings here and have enjoyed my experience every time. Adolfo, the owner, is especially pleasant and makes the experience as smooth as possible. It’s easy to tell him and his staff are quite experienced. I’ll be back for certain.

I’ve gone here for all of my piercings (industrial, lobes and doubles, septum, and eyebrow) and it’s always been an amazing experience. megan has done the majority and she’s been amazing every time! i’ve met adolfo as well when getting my jewelry swapped out and he was also great. amazing place with good prices and great staff! additionally all of my piercings have been healing super well and i’ve had no issues with any of them. they’ve also worked around my anatomy/needs for piercings while still making them look amazing. everything is super clean and they really care about their work.

Got my lower belliy button done by Megan Wednesday 7/3. It’s absolutely perfect and I have had no issues. She did my first daith but the older man did my other and hers is better. I need to get ahold of her because my husband needs his Daiths done and she is the only thing person I trust for my piercings.

I didn’t get the gentleman’s name but I got both my ears pierced for the first time. He was very quick an made it painless. Highly recommend the shop if you want something done!

Excellent tattoo parlor!! Very nice, clean & professional. Stevie was my tattoo artist & lucky for me cause thus was my very 1st tattoo ever & I couldnt have been in better hands. Not ever having a tattoo I had no idea what to expect and Stevie went over the whole process, what to expect and each time would get ready to start the ink on me me he would say ok here we go which was so good for me cause once again, I didnt know what to expect and was a lil scared but Wright from the very start till Stevie was finished he had me cam and relaxed and it was actually an enjoyable experience! I’ve written a review for Absolute before but I deleted it and leaving another one. I’m still giving it 5 stars. I’ve gotten multiple piercings done by Megan and multiple tattoos done by Stevie. I recently moved back to the area after being gone for about a year and a half and the place is still just as good. Clean, professional, with really nice people. Stevie does great work but the icing on the cake was a tattoo he did in the likeness of my late grandpa. He payed so much attention to detail, listened to all my feedback, and just did a sensational job. It was a big commitment for me, the most recent tattoo was my largest so far and in the most visible location. Obviously it’s very important and special to me so the fact that he took such care meant a lot to me. Thank you so much

I haven’t come to this tattoo shop in a couple of years, but when I used to live in San Antonio, I came here for every single piercing and tattoo needs. I got my tragus, second nostril, septum, and other tattoos and piercings done here. Those are the most important ones in my opinion because I even walked from UTSA to get them done.I could have easily gotten an Uber, but I just wanted to say that all the money you have is for the piercing you definitely could walk here. The staff is very kind and considerate and they help everyone out and there’s a reason why they stay so high and remain there for so long. As always, much love from Houston and the universe.

Just went in to get pierced! Was pierced by Adolfo and he was AMAZING! super fast, super quick, and talkative which really helped with a distraction!

I got my vertical labret done yesterday by megan!! she actually did my nostril about 3-4 years ago too! she’s so sweet and walks you through the whole process. haven’t had any complications with my new piercing at all. place is very sterile and clean. i highly recommend !

Just wanted to give a shout out to Magan over out of the Helotes location! We went in yesterday and my daughter was hoping she’d be in and there she was. Always smiling and helpful and most importantly not rushing…my daughter was nervous about her eyebrow piercing but she made it a pleasant experience. We took our 7 year old daughter in tonight to get her ears pierced. Adolfo, the GM, was absolutely amazing with her. He took the time to turn on a kid cartoon, gave her a lollipop to ease her anxiety. He explained everything he was doing from start to finish. Got my left industrial ear piercing and it was a very quick process! She was very professional, explained the steps to help ease my nerves, and guided me through breathing when it hurt the most. Can’t wait to come back and get my other here soon!

Megan did an AMAZING job piercing my 6 & 7 year olds’ ears. She was extremely sweet, friendly, & helpful in explaining the whole process to them (and to mama & daddy). Got my first piercing and my experience was amazing

Paid a lot of money for a piercing to be crooked thought it was straight when she put the dots on there and I even reached out to the owner and never heard nothing back

This is my 2nd time coming here, 1st time was for a septum and this time for a double nose piercing. Adolfo helped me today and he was so nice and respectful during the whole process. This place is very clean and professional. Its my birthday today and he was just really great in facilitating my special day! I highly recommend this shop for all piercings!

Megan is my go to!!!! I’ve gotten 4 piercings done by Megan and I’ve had 0 issues with all of them. She also gives great advice on aftercare & answers any questions I may have. Got my nose piercing done in and out in 15 minutes. Very quick minimal pain compared to when I got my nose done somewhere else. Took their time to bend the piercing the right way so they bar wouldn’t hang out. Gave very reasonable tattoo quotes as well and their work is beautiful. This place has very friendly staff (well Megan is, I didnt see any other staff while I was there), and very clean. Took my 11 and 7 year old daughters in to get there first ear piercing, and Megan made it such a great experience for us. She was so good with my girls and tried to make them feel as comfortable as possible, and virtually painless for them. My 7 year old was fascinated by what Megan was doing so she showed, and explained to my 7 year old, every step while her sister got her ears pierced. Thank you Megan!

Megan, was extremely nice and made sure all the instruments were clean. She was fast and talked me through my piercing. I liked how she asked me to look in a mirror to make sure i liked the placement before she pierced my ears. This is my fourth piercing and so far the best experience.

Dough Boy did my blue dragon and my yin yang sign. Fine quality at a fair price. Id recommend him if you are wanting something similarly to a splash paint design, or designs with similar lines as my tatoo.

My sister and I came in to get a cartridge and belly button piercing 2 weeks ago. After reading many reviews about Megan, I was hoping she would be available that day and luckily she was! Of course we were nervous, I’d rather get a tattoo over a piercing but my little sister wanted me to get something with her. Megan was GREAT, focused on only us and was very attentive even though customers were waiting to be seen! Everything was very sterile and clean. Id highly recommend anyone to see Megan, she even cares so much about her customers that wants them to go back in for a follow up to see how we’re healing; I’ve never had that experience!!!

Today I took my daughter to get a Helix piercing as a late Birthday gift, and I decided to get a Trigus, I’ve been to absolute Tattoo and piercing before for a nose piercing and Megan is always so nice, professional and made my daughter feel comfortable, ever time I’ve been there to see Megan, she always has a wonderful personality. Went to get my rook replaced because the earring fell out and Megan was very helpful in helping me pick the right earring for me. I also had her look at my daith that had really been bothering me and she went ahead and replaced that too to help the swelling and tenderness go down, the earring was way to big for my ear so she replaced it with a smaller hook type earring. I was super grateful she replaced it because no one else would and it looks and feels 10 times better! She gave me a super good deal on my earrings. Highly recommend going to her!

I came into the shop with a friend a month ago feeling a little nervous about getting a navel piercing. Megan reassured me and was very informative when it came to the concerns I had. Horrible. I have had my septum piercing for about a year now, but had to take it out for a surgery earlier this week. I have a solid gold ring that I was looking to get put back in since it’s hard for me to do myself. She could not get the jewelry back into the original piercing and told me she would have to re pierce which was okay with me. what was not okay was that she pierced my septum in a completely different spot without even asking, a spot i did not want to be pierced. she then didn’t close my hoop all the way and left it partially open and poking into my skin. She made it seem like my fault that i had taken it out.She told me she pierced it in a new spot because my old one was crooked (i knew this and was not looking to change it). When i told her at the end that it was in a completely different spot she told me it would be straight this way. it is not. it is crooked even worse in the other direction. overall this was the worst piercing experience i’ve ever had and I will take it out as soon as it stops hurting.

Jon did my very first tattoo. Hes truly amazing and answered any questions and made me feel extremely comfortable!! I was recommended to him by a friend and I have no regrets!! I loved my experience so much I went back a couple months after and got my second tattoo by him. Honestly best service ever!! Would recommend him to anyone wanting a tattoo.

Absolute Tattoo is always great! My friends and I have been there a few different times for piercings and we never have any complaints. Adolfo is so funny and makes the experience as relaxed and as quick as possible, but he does great work. They always send you off with a reminder to come back for a check-up, information about the aftercare you need, a coupon for jewelry, and candy. Whoop!Amazing experience all around!! I was warmly greeted by Adolfo(I think…”el jefe”). Immediately I felt at home while he set me up for my upper lobe piercing.I also received a small tattoo by Jon(Davis). The amount of time and care he spent making sure the tattoo I had was symmetrical and sized correctly with an existing tattoo was an awesome reflection of how seriously he takes his work and customer satisfaction. Both Jon and Adolfo set me up for success with the aftercare with verbal and visual instructions.All in all, I felt the warm fuzzy vibes given the amazing hospitality. Even though it’s a bit of a drive from my home, I certainly plan on coming back! :DThank y’all!

I went there today to get both my daughters ears pierced. Megan was amazing! I called ahead of time and she told me exactly what I needed to get them pierced. They said they didnt feel a thing. Definitely keep them in mind in the future.

Ive been here 3 times for piercings for myself and kids. The ladies that have done them are amazing. They know what theyre doing, take their time, make sure youre as comfortable as possible, professional, and give excellent after care instructions.

I came in for a Helix piercing and I had Ashlynn as my piercer. She was very nice and informative on how to care for the piercing. It did come fall out 3 weeks later, so I came back in to get another earring placed. I had Ashlynn again and she quickly put it in again. I defiantly would recommend this place as they have great customer service and are very careful in keeping everything sterile.Update: I went back after this time and replaced it again with another earring. I had another lady put it in. It seemed like it was hugging my ear too much but it didn’t hurt. Later on my ear got infected because it was too tight. I went to Wicked Ways Tattoos to check it out and they told me it was too tight and I had to alleviate the pressure. Next time I want to get a piercing I will be going to Wicked Ways Tattoos.

Got my helix and second lobe piercings done here. Megan is the greatest (she did my helix); however, the girl who did my second lobe (Ashlyn or Ashley) didnt sterilize the equipment in front of me. Its not too big of a deal, but if Im sitting in the waiting room instead of the piercing room while she is sterilizing equipment, how am I supposed to know that she sterilized it at all? This is my health at risk if an employee does not properly sterilize her equipment. But like I said, its not a big deal in this circumstance because I did believe she sterilize the equipment. But when I do come back for another piercing Ill probably ask specifically for Megan.

She was super quick and didn’t give me enough time to change my mind when I panicked halfway through my nose piercing in my head 🤣🤣 I’m a nurse, I’m totally fine poking ppl but a baby when it comes to getting my own body poked. All 3 were done in under 15 mins. When we got there it was busy but we still only had to wait 10 mins to be seen. There was really good communication so we weren’t just standing there wondering if we were in the wrong place or how long it would be. They updated us every few mins.The building is SO CLEAN!!! Everything is nicely displayed and there isn’t dust covering the surfaces like other shops I’ve been to. Felt completely comfortable getting pierced here bc of that.

Megan is awesome at this location. She is nice as sweet does a great job a piercing. Works with you and will talk you through the whole process as she is doing it. I will not go see anyone but her.

Mimi was very kind from when I first walked in, there was no line and she attended to me right away. She usually works at the wurzbach location but is at this location twice a week. My nose piercing was extremely painless and she was very prepared and made sure everything was sterilized. Great experience!

Was highly recommended to come here. Came in today with my 12 year old daughter as a surprise to get her ears pierced. The pregnant lady who had just opened the doors seemed irritated even though no one else was in the store at the time. I told her my daughter was nervous and asked her to walk us thru the procedure since she was the one who was going to do it. She opened up a room and basically showed us a shelf full of needles and said here’s the needles and it’s real quick. She didn’t even attempt to make my daughter feel comfortable or answer her questions. She even went as far to say make sure you are really going to do it so I don’t get all set up for no reason. Needless to say we left and don’t plan on going back when my daughter is ready. So disappointing.

I went in and Megan did two piercings for me over a yr ago she mad me so comfortable and the process was painless since than Ive gone back several more times , I recommend her to anyone I meet talking about getting pierced. Thank you for such awesome service and amazing work

Ashlyn was so great! I walked in to get my nose pierced and she helped me through the whole thing. I have had my nose pierced before and it hurt less this time than last time. She answered all of my questions about getting a spacer as well! Super friendly and amazing experience!

Came in to get my septum pierced a couple weeks ago. Jay was great, turned out I have a deviated septum and warned me that it could look off center because of it. I went ahead with the piercing and it came out looking great and almost perfectly centered. Its been healing nicely as well. Ill def come back for more piercings in the future.

Just leaving from getting my nose piercing, the service was beyond amazing. Ashlyn was the girl who did my piercing, she was really nice and new a lot about it. i would highly recommend ashyln. the pain was minimal to no pain, very pleased & happy with my piercing.

I went in nervous to get my daith, mainly because I’m terrified of needles, but Kat made me feel super comfortable and didn’t even feel the pain of the piercing. I am 3 days in from getting the piercing, and it’s not even tender or sore. I would definitely go back.

Jeff helped me out I got one helix and one lobe peircing in each ear. Both him and the girl at the desk were very nice an very helpful I apreshated how much they talked through the process but my favorite thing was just that they were both very nice and professional.

Within the past 2 months I’ve had all three (2 helix & a nostril piercing) of my piercings done by kat. She performed all of my piercings in the most sanitary and quickly way possible.Both times she explained thoroughly on the cleaning process as well as answering all of my question in full detail. Jon did my first tattoo in 2017 and has done all 9 of my tattoos since then. He’s the example of clean, professional, and always kind. He’s done work on my girlfriend, parents, and all 3 siblings. I strongly recommend seeing Jon for your next tattoo.

Piercer did NOT give verbal or written care instructions for my nose piercing, which every tattoo artist and piercer is REQUIRED by law to do so.UPDATE:Just walked into Wicked Ways tattoo and was told I would have to remove the piercing entirely and let it heal over if I ever wanted the bump to go away, mainly because my nose was pierced at the wrong angle. I want a refund since it was not properly pierced AND for the lack of professionalism when the piercer neglected to tell me proper care instructions.

Called twice before coming in, specifically asking if they take walk ins. They said we could come in and had us send images. On arrival, he said he never told us to come in and turned us both away. He lost a couple hundred bucks in business. They didnt have a single customer in store.Update. After leaving the studio, the owner proceeded to text me and harass me harshly telling me he clearly told me to show up at 9. He told me to show up on the first call and the 2nd call he gave his phone number to text pics to.Horrible customer service. I 1000% do NOT recommend seeing this guy and getting a permanent change to your body with him. He is untrustworthy and cant handle being told he was wrong for what he did.

I went to go get snake eyes piercing on my tongue, and jeremy was my piercer,i have had over 32 piercings and this one i almost passed out. Jeremy took care of me while i sat there and collected myself he chatted with me and even went and got a fan cause i was sweating but he didnt rush me out he just let me sit and chill as we chatted a little. I appriciated that he didnt just leave me and make being their or the fact i almost passed out awkward. I would definantly recommend this place for piercings, they are humble people who value their customers. Definantly going back for more piercings.

The artists here are mediocre and dont seem to do any research on their craft. Just from browsing the art gallery I can tell I would not like a tattoo from here, but Ill leave that be because I came here for piercing advice. I had gotten one at a place out of state and wanted advice on how to get rid of a bump. My piercing had been resized due to swelling and was too loose and I knew this. Rather than fitting me with a tighter screwtop bar I was given the most half-assed nostril nail Ive ever seen. It was sticking out from inside my nostril and the artist didnt even seem to notice. It was such a poor fit that it moved around constantly and weeks later, despite constant care, the bump is still here and Im probably going to have to let it close and get it re-pierced. You can be sure I wont be coming here for that.

I got my piercing here a while ago and one of my dermals came out. I came back and they told me I had to wait for the piercer to get back. Took forever, next day I just went to Wicked Ways and they did it fast and easy. Also They did not put the dermals in right here at absolute
