Recently had my septum done By Al and I have to say, extremely professional and very clean with his work, Al was also really down to earth and overall really funny to talk to at times, you can tell he not only does his work with pride but also passion from how he treats others, i believe i chose the right place for sure to getting my piercing after seeing him. I definitely will be coming back for more piercings in the future!

Hiii so I just got my nipples pierced here today and might I say oh my god Ive never connected more with any piercer or tattoo artist as I did here today best service Ive ever had and he did an AMAZING job!!! It was so painless and looks so cute!!! Thank you so much again for my amazing new piercings! Very cheap too!

Tonight I went in and got my nose pierced and had such a wonderful experience. Al was warm & welcoming the second we came in. He was caring, attentive and professional. He asked me many questions including what type of jewelry I planned on wearing in my nose so we could properly map out what would best fit me. He also had the challenge of matching up this piercing with my existing nose piercing on the opposite side. Which he nailed. He held great meaningful conversation. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does & loves making people feel better about themselves. I walked in expecting just a normal piercing experience and walked out with a great piercing, a big smile & a warm heart. Al is kind & professional guy. I definitely will be coming back & recommending him to anyone in need of a new piercing or tattoo. Thank you so much Al!

I needed a re-piercing of an ear that was done poorly over 40 years ago. It closed up last year because I just got sick of trying to get earrings in a crooked hole. I went to see Alan who re-pierced the ear. He took great time to be precise and getting the new hole to line up with my other ear. Im a healthcare provider and his sterile technique was on point. I had absolutely no doubt that he knows exactly what hes doing, and that was reassuring to me. I was a real scary cat and he reassured me throughout the process and really it wasnt difficult at all. If you need piercings done, this is the guy to see. He knows what hes doing and hes been doing it for years! I highly recommend this shop! Thank you Alan!

My best friend and I got matching tattoos with Al and he did an awesome job. It was towards the end of the day and he squeezed us in, very nice and experienced and made the experience special for us. Would definitely recommend this shop if you’re in the area.

Every good thing said about this place and Al is 💯 true. I got my septum redone today. I’ve been getting pierced since about 2006-ish and I’ve had 27 piercings in that time and I have never felt more comfortable and confident in a piercer’s abilities. I moved to Florida 2 years ago and needed a new piercer. I tried another place that had great ratings, but truly didn’t understand the hype of it. After going here I know I’ve found my piercer(and the piercer for my kids when they are old enough and want piercings), no question. Not only is there years of experience behind him but he even has jewelry manufacturing background and has some unique pieces! I’ll be going back to pick up some new jewelry in the near future(and probably another piercing soon too 😋). Thanks again, Al! You’re fantastic!

He was so jokingly funny , cool , kind and made my bday girl feel safe and relaxed ! He did her belly button shes 14 he made sure all the documents were properly filed and boy ooh boy she had fun helping and feeling special on her special day. Its been week2 and no negative signs or infections ,or bad healing at all. Definitely do as requested and buy Ocean Spray sea salt! Does well for open wounds not including her piercing spot. Al we have told all our friends and family and they are waiting in line to come for a visit!🙏

The guy AL was very gentle with me the pain was about a 8/10 since I have a low pain tolerance but he was very kind and helped me stay calm loved how the piercing came out!!!!

Went in this evening to get my septum done. I was pretty nervous but the owner explained the process to me which actually helped calm my nerves. Everything was very clean and I had a great experience, my piercing looks great!

Al pierced 3 different places on my ear last night. He made the whole process as painless as can be considering what I had done lol. Amazing experience. I’ve had my septum done (on top of other places pierced) twice now and he is by far superior. He was not rushed, kind, explained everything he was doing. Reassurance is key and he nailed it on the head. 10/10 will go back for any piercing. Won’t be going anywhere else from now on.

I had a very special tattoo done by Al. He got us in without an appointment because it was important to have it done on that day. He was so patient. It took a while to get the stencil done, he made sure it was absolutely perfect! The actual tattooing process was super quick and he has a very light hand. Al was an awesome guy. Old school. I came in with a group of 3, we all got multiple piercings. He did both of my nostrils and took a lot of time and patience making sure they were lined up perfectly. He also did an amazing job on my brother and sisters ears and septum. We are all extremely happy and will definitely be back for some more stabbings in the near future. Highly recommend.

Al was very helpful and helped me find jewelry to fit a weird spot on my ear. He even changed the jewelry for me since I was a little nervous too.He also re-pierced an old lip piercing of mine and it was almost painless.The shop was clean, organized and the Al and his staff were great.10/10 Recommend!

This review is a week late but I need to add one because the nose piercer was amazing. He was extremely sweet, informative and just an overall cool guy. It was late when I left the shop so he walked me to the door and made sure I made it to my car! Highly recommend him!

I suffer from migraines, to the point where I throw up and will be out for hours or days. I did my research about the piercing in your ear to help relieve headaches and Google said the success rate was around 40% so I held off. Well for the past 2 days I’ve had a headache, I caved in and decided to start looking for a shop in my area. Al came recommended from other shops so I gave him a call. I was expecting a week or so wait, he told be to be at the shop in 30 mins and he would fit me in between two tattoos. I drove over to his shop and we talked and decided the piercing was a good fit for me. As soon as the piercing went through my ear, I just felt a wave of relief! I am writing this review about 3 hours later and my headache is gone.This is a life changer! Do not hesitant to get this piercing! I was talking to Al about the statistics of it and he said he’s had a way better success rate than 40%! I BELIEVE IT! Nice guy, awesome shop, and my hero!

No surprise that expression tatoo has a gazillion 5 star google and yelp reviews. My daughter had an irritated nose ring and he was amazing. Spent so much time helping us pick the best remedy and plan of care. He has been the business for many years and his facility, customer service, and knowledge is amazing. Don’t even question, Al’s the man for piercing and his tattoo studio is impressive too!

Came here to get my girlfriend and myself some piercings and Al, the owner, took care of us very well. He’s very personable and he runs a nice shop. He’s very sanitary and walks you through the process so that you’re comfortable as possible. After the piercings, he explained how to care for them and gave us a pamphlet on how to maintain the piercings. I have gotten 4 piercings from Al, and he always does amazing. He is so clean, the place is very clean. He is very careful. My piercings have never gotten infected when they are pierced by him. Great experience every time.

My sisters and I decided to get tattoos together when we visited FL and are really glad we found this place. This was my first experience so I was super anxious in the beginning but it all went away the moment I saw the way Al conducted the tattoo procedure. I could tell that cleanliness is a top priority. My wife and I have spent many a night out without kids ending up in a tattoo/Piercing shop being swept off the front porch by a young person using bias judgment on their neglected customers. Until this past weekend. We called Expressions Tattoo and spoke directly to the owner. He fit us in and off we went. 20 minutes later we walk into the cleanest tattoo shop we’ve ever seen. The smell was cleaner than a dentist office. His decor in seating is much appreciated as he blends in antique yet pristine 80 year old physician and dentist chairs. Al, the owner was so inviting. Kinda the same way when you see your family doctor, like you know you’re in good hands. My wife had her nose and I had my ears pierced. It’s common when getting a piercing that your body may react differently than others. Well, the nose is a tough spot but beautiful place for a ring. End of piercing Al’s ears perked up and asked my wife if she was ok, very compassionately. She said no, that all of a sudden she did not. He makes sure she is protected from falling out of the chair. In a flash she’s back with a #DrPepper and together we sat my wife in a reclining type medical chair and he spoke truth to her. How common, what’s happening, this will help, as if it were his daughter. Nothing moved forward until Al knew she was good. If you’re reading this do yourself a favor and tell everyone you know we drove 8 hours to get our piercings from Al.Namaste-

Al is the best of the best! Been doing tattoos for 30+ years. Service was great and he makes sure the customer is always happy. He tatted 4 of my family members in about 2 hours and we all love ours. Don’t even feel hesitant to get tatted or pierced here.

Got my tongue pierced here for the first time, he was very nice and understanding, after a couple days it was really irritating me and I thought something was wrong, I went to another place to get a second opinion and she told me it was pierced completely wrong and if I would have kept it in the way it was it would take about 2 months to heal and I would have problems in the healing process. So I dont recommend getting a tongue piercing here!

I absolutely love this shop and I wouldnt go anywhere else! Very clean shop and the owner is great! He did a cover up tattoo for me that other tattoo artist refused to do...and it looks amazing! I couldnt be more happy! He also did my husbands memorial tattoo after he lost his dad and it turned out better than we even expected! Nose piercing- Al is extremely thorough and kind. I have several tattoos from highly skilled artists which were done in another state and I consider Al’s shop impressively clean and organized. I would feel completely comfortable getting ink done there as far as cleanliness, comfort and friendliness goes. I went there for a nose piercing and was greeted quickly and in and out with thorough care instructions.

Al is fantastic, period. Been to his shop several times and have not a single complaint. Both his piercing and tattoo procedures are top notch. Recently had my septum done, and felt a little faint afterwards. He sat with me, applied cold compresses to my head and neck, and got me a soda to keep my blood sugar up. Made sure I was actually ok, before I could leave, when most shops would just shove you out the door. His years of experience show in everything he does.

Hidden treasure of citrus county! my bf and i went in last night looking for some jewelry to change out my snake bites i got done in june (side note: we drove over an hour away to get my piercings done.. haha, never ever again now that weve discovered this place). our first visit to this little shop, but certainly not the last. i dont even know where to begin. Al amazed us with his knowledge, professionalism, and kindness. i feel silly that i havent stopped in here sooner (honestly, i never expected citrus county to have such a clean and welcoming piercing/tattoo business- hence why we drove so far away lol). his building is a little off the road and hard to see, you would never believe the treasures that are hidden inside unless u take a closer look and walk through the door. his jewelry selection is BEYOND impressive. he has all different styles of jewelry (a lot of which he put together himself!). charm designs range from cutesy to hippie to badass. you name it, Als got it! he has cases, drawers, and even a closet filled with unique pieces. i thought it was cool that he even sells little snacks and drinks (and sunglasses!) i also want to mention that i had initially bought some horseshoe pieces that were too big. i called Al to see if there was anything we could do to fix the mistake. he invited us right back to take care of it immediately. i brought back the first pieces and he refused to take them because he DOESNT RESELL used jewelry!! (side note #2: no i did not expect him to accept the used jewelry but u never know and i figured i would offer them in case he could use them for something else). he replaced them with a smaller size with no problem at all. this is without a doubt my bf and is new go-to place to buy jewelry, and im sure one day well come in for tats and/or piercings. its obvious that the multitalented owner truly values his art. not only does he run this business, he enjoys it and wants to share it with others. thanks so much Al! keep up the good work, well be back soon!(sorry for such a lengthy review but i really could not resist. my mind is utterly blown by this place and i would give a million stars if i could.)

I got a tattoo for my son and then 4 piercings and Al was amazing through the whole process. He did everything I wanted and was such a sweet man to work with. I got my nose pierced here, and Al was VERY professional.He had a nice small piece of jewelry to put in, which I really preferred over anything too bulky. He was patient with me choosing the location of the piercing, and was thorough, precise, and gentle.In my specific case, I felt faint afterwards and actually passed out. 😳 I would definitely recommend others to make sure they are fed and hydrated before!!But, anyways he was right on the ball and knew exactly what to do!! TRULY would recommend this shop to anyone looking to get a piercing with fantastic care, quality, and service. 10/10!!!Also, his shop looks very clean. And has a LARGE selection of jewelry.

Recently moved down from Missouri, and was concerned I wouldnt be able to find somewhere with quality work. We did a lot of research and Al is by far the best person to ever put ink on my body. He is very personable, and does great work. Come see him for the best work in Florida!!!!! Theres a reason he has been doing this for so long. His work speaks for itself.

Took my 16 year old to get her bellybutton pierced. Being no stranger to tattoo shops the first thing I noticed was the cleanliness and organization. The guy was very knowledgeable and definitely knows his stuff,very experienced. My daughter was afraid of the process but he was very gentle and quick. She ended up passing out but that was what I expected. He saw it coming even before I did and was prepared to handle it. He tended to her until he was sure she was good to go. Highly recommend this guy. No surprise he has a 4.7 review on Google.

Al did a wonderful job on my nose piercing today. he’s been working on a wonderful tattoo for my dad, which he absolutely adores. and he’s given my mom 3 piercings. no complaints from my family. definitely recommend

*Definitely recommend a visit if youre looking for a tat or piercing*I have never had work done but Ive been here a few times with friends and the guy in there is so freaking cool! He creates this friendly, light-hearted environment when you walk in the door. I must say if I ever get work done this is where I am going to go. Very professional, clean shop, and fantastic prices.

Al may be a great tattoo artist, but he is NOT a good piercer. I went in to get my eyebrow done in May. First of all he told me he couldnt put it where I wanted him to - because of health hazards, it would block my vision, more likely to get infected, etc... all false, just made a lot of excuses, something Ive noticed piercers do when they know they cant do the piercing in question but still want your business anyway. Then, he took ten minutes just to get the clamp on - and it was very painful the whole time, which it should NEVER be. He used a very long bar (youre supposed to have a smaller bar in the beginning so it wont move around as much and slow the healing process down) that was a very low-quality metal. He did the piercing way too shallow, and didnt really give me much aftercare instruction at all. As a result, the piercing didnt heal right and I had to have surgery to have a keloid removed that could have been avoided. Please, please just go anywhere else for your piercing purposes!

Al was the nicest person ever. He was so nice when I got light headed and didn’t rush me or anything when I needed a minute. Took me as basically a walk in also. Place is clean and bright. Highly recommend.

I would definitely recommend! I got my nose pierced yesterday and most say it hurts for a couple days but I don’t know if it’s just me or if it’s the way that he did it he explained the best ways to take care of it and I would just definitely recommend I woke up in mine doesn’t hurt anymore.

My snakebite piercings were stuck in my lip, so I went into this shop to get them taken out. This shop is very clean & has anything you would need for body art + more. Coolest gift shop too. The owner is really friendly and welcoming. A+

My kid recently got Al to tattoo a bible verse on her side without me knowing so today she came to me very upset and showed me the work that Al did and I was horrified. The lines are very shakey and have no consistency and thats not the worst part, he misspelled words,used capital letters when lower case letters should have been used, and mixed cursive with standard letters!! I called him and right off the RIP he was rude.. My opinion is this... if you are a professional then you should stand behind your work, you should never use excuses to try justifying a terrible job.So if you want to get a pick and poke prison tattoo and pay premium prices for your tattoo then I highly recommend this guy. If you want a quality tattoo from a professional then I definitely recommend you stay away from Expressions.

After having a couple of tattoos made many years ago, I had the pleasure of finding Expressions Tattoo! Since that time Ive had 6 tattoos done and they are all great. Great artist, price, and service! I wouldnt go anywhere else! Thanks Al! :-)

I went and got my first tattoo from Al. He placed the stencil on it looked great. I got it done on my side. As soon as my friend took a picture of my tattoo. It looked like he free wrote it. Cursive was terrible. He even spelt “who” as “wha”. My friends mom called and complained and he started using the excuses of “she was moving to much” let alone I didn’t move ONCE ! Even if I did he says he has 35 years of experience and “that’s a hard place to get a tattoo” . So then my dad called. Al then started saying he’s not giving my money back and that it’s “in the contract” he never offered to fix it or anything ! What bad service I will never recommend anyone going to Expressions to get a tattoo.! I really should’ve put more thought into it being my FIRST tattoo.

A great place to go I got my spectrum done it was quick and easy. The owner is really nice knows what hes doing, definitely going back for more. Thanks again! Place is very clean also opened new package right there in front of you he walked me through step by step about everything..

Piercer was very nice.Piercings were quick and it was very sanitary.i passed out and he took care of me.

My overall experience was a 10 out of 10 in my book. This was my first tattoo and through the process; everything was explained if I had a question. Very friendly people and great service. Lots of galleries containing tattoos from all sorts of tastes. When I come back to the state of Florida to visit family; I will visit for some more ink.

Just got my tongue pierced and Al did a fantastic job, his shop was very clean, he was very patient with me and it was almost painless ! Im deffiently coming back for either another piercing or a tattoo !

Great place! Al was so kind and gentle with my nose ring. He went out of his way to find the perfect one. After a very frustrating morning with another piercer, I was thrilled to find Expressions!

Worst tattoo artist and I use that term loosely! The job this dude did on my daughter is terrible!!! All he can say is its in the contract. A contract does not excuse piss poor craftsmanship and if a person cant stand behind their own work then they probably shouldnt be operating a business in my opinion. A tattoo is for life and a true professional should always take pride in their work. What this guy did to my daughter is unexpectable.So before you decide to get a tattoo be sure to do your research. I highly recommend NOT going to this guy.

Absolutely amazing I came as a walk in and had both of my Daith pierced I highly recommend this I had an instant headache relief and as a chronic migraine patient it’s been monumental already! Can’t wait to come back for more.!

If I could rate this negative zero stars I would. Al that works at this tattoo shop gave my little sister her first tattoo she paid $150 and it is horrible. He charged her for a horrible tattoo that is crooked, spelled wrong, and has upper case letters where lower case should be, multiple missspellings are in the scripture. Ex(“Who” he spelled “wha” and “through he spelled “threaugh”) including more misspellings that arnt listed. DO NOT GO HERE FOR A TATTOO. He will mess up ur skin it is permanent. His customer service skills are also horrible and he does not care about his clients or there happiness. Our dad called him and he told my dad “I’m not a English major.” If you want a good tattoo and don’t want something that looks like a 5 year old went in there and tattooed it DO NOT GO HERE. Very very disappointed.

I must say AL you are one of the greatest artist of all time. Great lines awesome shading amazing free hand work and picture perfect portraits. You got our business and me n wife will be n soon for our next one.

I and my daughter went in there and got our nose pierced the place was very clean and he has lots of cool things to look at and he had a great personality would differently use him again.

I brought in a picture of the tattoo I wanted. And not only does it not look anything like the picture but the lines are all crooked and the shading is TERRIBLE! How can you be in business for 30 years and not know how to draw a straight line?! So pissed off! I will make sure I tell everybody I know to NEVER go here! Now I have to go and hope like hell someone else will be able to fix what should have been a very easy simple tattoo.
