Another great experience at Studio Seventeen! Nate pierced my step-sons ears for the first time. He was so calm and at ease and made the experience so positive for him! I have gotten all of my piercings here and always had a wonderful experience. It feels kind of like home when I come in the doors ❤️

Studio Seventeen is hands down the most solid tattoo and piercing shop in Michigan. I got the privilege to get pierced and tatted by the owner Steve and Lucas on my birthday and it could not have gone better. They were very professional and communicated excellent! It was awesome to be around people that care about their customers, truly shown to be happy to be there and love what they do. This Shop is my safe place and I definitely see myself coming back!

There’s no competition, this is the BEST place to go for piercings/maintenance. Steve is more professional and knowledgeable than any of the previous Piercers I’ve let near me. Friendly, judgement free, and reasonable prices. I’ve DM’d the shop’s instagram numerous times and always get a timely response.. worth the drive even from GR.

I got my triple lobe pierced and the gal who did the piercing did great, the guy who changed the backs did great. My biggest complaint are the earrings, I don’t know if I got a faulty pair or if they’re just poorly made but they snag on every single pillow case. I’ve tried 3 different cases at home, 2 throw pillows and we went on vacation where we had 3 different hotels and they snagged on all of them. One of them so bad it caused the pillows thread to get caught in it.. I mentioned it there and the guy helping us acted like he didn’t believe me because he never experienced that with his piercings. They also didn’t tell us before hand we had to go back to get the backs changed and it’d be $15… we got there and they said that was per pair… they could’ve made that more clear. I am also a service provider and I felt like there was a lot of ‘hidden fees’ within this whole experience. They were very nice and the piercing is clean but I wasn’t real impressed overall.

We had my 8 year old daughters ears pierced here, and I couldnt be any happier with our experience. They were so great at explaining the procedure to her, and they made sure she was completely comfortable with it.

I got a tattoo with DirtyChai Tattoos. She was amazing, I felt completely comfortable, and it was very clean. Totally awesome experience!

Gone are the days where I went to the $10 piercing Tuesdays at the shop next to my college. This place is the real deal. Steve was super knowledgeable, thorough, and personable. I am stoked on both of my piercings and definitely feel more equipped to take care of them now with the education provided.

I brought my daughter in today to have conch and tregus piercings. I was very anxious and Steve was very kind, understanding, and validated my feelings. He then took the time to help my daughter choose the earrings for the piercings. Steve is very knowledgeable, and patient with anxious mothers. It was a fabulous experience and I highly recommend Studio Seventeen! They also have a nice selection of jewelry.

I’ve gotten a couple of piercings here, and they were very nice, professional, and clean. Steve accepted an impromptu add-on nose piercing to my helix shortening appointment, and even measured my stretched ears for me so I knew what size plugs to get after having them out for a while. And then offered to put in my new belly button ring for me that I bought there even though it was supposed to be a very quick appointment. Definitely try to let them know in advance if you want extra services, but I appreciate the flexibility and going above-and-beyond!

I have been getting piercings from Steve since I was 16, and over the 10 years I have gone to him I have had nothing but amazing experiences. I was in for the first time in quite a few years this past weekend with a friend and could not have asked for a better experience. Steve is extremely kind and makes the entire process as painless as possible. He is more expensive than other shops around but I have never seen that as a bad thing - why would anyone want to cheap out on a piercing? There are so many piercing horror stories its not worth saving a few extra bucks! If you are looking for a clean, knowledgeable, and friendly shop ALWAYS choose Studio Seventeen!

Steve made my nostril piercing relaxing and enjoyable. His calm and friendly demeanor instantly eased my nerves. You can tell he has passion for what he does, and I would recommend anyone come to him for their piercing needs.

Took my daughter to Studio Seventeen for a small tattoo by tattoo artist, Lucas Odom. Salon was immaculate and well organized. Lucas wore a mask for Covid and required us to do the same. He was very professional yet warm and friendly. We had a nice talk with him as he worked and connected over politics and the current state of affairs in America. I was very impressed from start to finish!

Steve is extremely knowledgeable and very skilled at what he does. Would not go anywhere else.

Daughter had ears pierced. Steve is extremely good with kids and lived up to the reputation we had heard of. He lets the kids know they are in complete control which makes for a relaxing experience for everyone. Very strict policy of cleanliness and safety made us feel confident. You won’t meet a nicer guy anywhere.

Steve and Jess are amazing. They both took time to explain the details of the piercing i was in for. Steve has done the majority of my piercings and I highly recommend him. Dont go to Claires or some place in the mall, head over to Studio Seventeen and get your piercing done the right way the first time. Steve always makes me feel comfortable and confident that Im going to have a great experience.

I got my nipples pierced by Steve and I couldnt be happier!!!! He was so professional & helpful when it came to the jewelry and the placement of my piercing. They have incredible customer service. The shop is SO clean and absolutely beautiful! Im never going to get a piercing anywhere else, clear instructions on aftercare and can set you up with an appointment after to make sure its the best it can be.They also have such amazing jewelry selection!

Best piercer around! I wouldnt go to anyone else. Ive sent several friends here after my first experience about 6 years ago - some have even traveled from Traverse City and Lansing. On a short vacation, we were scrambling to find a place that would not only consider walk-ins or short-notice appointments, but would also allow my friend and I to be there for each other as each of us got tattooed. We called the shop and were given very clear, hopeful instructions from Lucas to send him our ideas and he’d let us know if they could squeeze us in last minute. We tried to remain flexible as the day went on, and he was so amazingly kind to find a way to squeeze us in and we are eternally grateful! The shop was clean, professional, and it was clear they were doing everything possible to protect people during this strange time of COVID-19. Lucas ended up being our tattoo artist and did a wonderful job. He was quick but careful and both our small tattoos have super clean lines. I’m pretty sure he had to stay past his expected shift to fit us in even though he didn’t say it, and it made quite the impression on us. Awesome experience overall and even though I know exceptions from the norm were made for us, it made our day so special. (There was also an awesome piercing guy with 2 gems on his forehead that seemed just as professional and kind. )

Screaming needle messed up my nipple piercings which caused a lot of pain and bleeding and the wrong bar size. Steve was able to put the correct bar size in and fixed every issue, no more pain or bleeding. Learned my lesson to always stick with Steve!

Can be pricey, but totally worth it! Very clean and professional. I had Jess do an ear piercing a few months ago and I loved her! Super nice and attentive. Its also always a plus when the people piercing you have piercings themselves, makes me more comfortable knowing theyve experienced it themselves. From my experience everything was clean and sanitary. The shop looked good and everyone was friendly! Will be going back for future piercings!

If you’re in the market for ink, don’t waste your time going anywhere else! Overall the entire shop is clean, and obviously well kept. Every staff member is super knowledgeable and crazy talented. But I’m here to tell you how awesome Lucas is. He tattooed my sternum, which meant I was topless for my session. Not only was he super kind, but he was very personable and most importantly professional. He cares deeply about his craft and it shows. Client for life! Plus, he’s super hot. Not mad about that 🤷🏻‍♀️ You’re a fool to go anywhere but here!

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Studio Seventeen! Joel takes real pride in his work and is a true artist. He was very gentle and even in some very sensitive areas the process was painless! I had the pleasure of sitting for him for 3 hours for a floral forearm tattoo, and I could’ve sat for another 3 easily! I will definitely be back for LOTS more!

STEVE IS AMAZING. very knowledgeable, very friendly, super helpful. he had to pull my rook piercing that another shop did wrong and while I was sad to see it go, I WILL be back to get it done the right way! hands down, best place around. worth every second of the drive! thank you, thank you, thank you!

Cannot say enough good things about Steve. I originally called the studio to see if someone could helped me change out a septum from another shop. At my appointment, Steve was honest with me in that the other shop messed up my piercing by doing it way too low on my septum. Unfortunately, Studio Seventeen wasnt doing septums because of Covid, but he did help me and change out the piercing to one that wouldnt hang so low on my nose. He also helped me find some shops in my hometown that could potentially redo the piercing for me.I came in a few weeks later to have my nostril piercing redone, as it had fallen out a month earlier and I assumed it had closed up when I failed to replace it myself. Steve was about ready to pierce it again when he found that it hadnt completely closed up, and he was able to put in a new stud for me, saving me the $30 piercing fee.All in all, Steve is an honest guy, great for answering any questions you could have (I had a lot), and just genuinely cares about his business! His cleanliness is on point as well. I wouldnt go to anyone else if youre looking for a piercing in the Holland area.

Ive been going to Steve for almost 3 or 4 years now. I have never had an issue with any of their services and the prices are always fair!!! Great quality jewelry and amazing staff :) absolutely love his work!!! Trust worthy and always honest.

I got my septum pierced here about three weeks ago. Studio Seventeen is the cleanest and most helpful shop I have ever been to. Many say that it is too pricey however I disagree. You pay for the high quality products they use, on top of that they are APP members. As a person who is extremely sensitive to piercings; I have had no problems with mine and usually by now I have problems with piercings. I will definitely be going back.

Studio Seventeen is the only piercing studio I trust, I’ve gotten 2 of my piercings done here already and both were super positive experiences! They have very good quality jewelry, are very very clean and the staff is extremely welcoming and walks you through the whole process. Everyone Ive recommended this studio to loved it!

I love LOVE studio seventeen - Ive had wonderful experiences with many piercings and tattoos at this location over the past 5 years, Ill never go anywhere else. They are worth every penny, no issues ever and happy to answer all my questions. Recently have implemented extra careful practices with COVID but have always been super clean- I feel safer here than at my doctors office. Top notch customer service, my husband and I have always felt like family here. Actually was where we had our first date as well LOL. Great job, guys!

Pre COVID I had a nose piercing done here! A very clean environment, staff are very knowledgeable and friendly.During COVID I have had a pair of second lobe piercings done , upon scheduling and arriving I met with staff, discussed future plans and was measured to get the perfect placement for my ears anatomy and piercing plans! Just to clear up any confusion, let me start out by saying that this shop used to be called Pincushions. The piercer here, Steve Olin, could not be more helpful! He pierced me 3 times and one of the piercings has not been healing well and hes been having me come in every couple of days to check on it and figure out how best to support the healing. I truly feel like I am in great and professional hands! I would highly suggest this place. I know they also do tattoos at the shop but I have no experience or knowledge in this area.

I come here for all my tattoos and piercings. They’re always clean and professional, I’ve gotten 6 piercings here and every one has turned out great. I got my first tattoo here from Joel and I love it so much. Very friendly staff

Went to get a semicolon tattoo done. Took a while to set up an appointment but Lucas was absolutely amazing. Made me feel comfortable and pain was kept to a minimal level. If I decided to get another tattoo I will be showing up again!

I had gotten an earlobe piercing a few years ago and recently took out my earrings and had nothing in the holes for a few months until I could get better jewelry. I put the new jewelry in my ears to find out one had closed up. I thought for sure they would be fine without jewelry for just a little bit since I had other piercings before that were fine without jewelry a year after I got them pierced. I called to find out it would be a minimum of $35 to get the ear pierced again and a minimum of $25 for their cheapest jewelry. I had already spent over $100 when I first got them pierced so I was kinda disappointed I would have to spend a minimum of $60 just to get it re-pierced. I hate to leave less than a 5 star review, but for the price I paid to have them originally pierced just to close up after a few years made me upset.

This is by far the best piercing/tattoo shop i’ve ever been to, and i’ve gone to about six!! the workers are always kind, respectful, and patient. they have a great sense of humor to keep you calm while you get pierced or tatted, and they gladly let you talk about your life while procedures are going on. they use the top quality metals for their piercings, i have EXTREMELY sensitive skin, and this is the ONLY PLACE that my piercings don’t swell, reject, or hurt from. if that’s not amazing enough, their selection of jewelry is incredible. you can choose exactly what jewelry you want for your piercings right from the beginning!! and if they don’t have it, they can order it! steve ALWAYS does perfect piercings. i’ve never had one single piercing go wrong from him. not only are the piercings incredible, but the tattoos are gorgeous! i got my first tattoo done here by lucas, and it is the best quality, and my favorite tattoo that i have. i whole-heartedly recommend this shop. while a lot of people complain about price, trust me guys; it’s worth it. for top quality service, a choice of jewelry, and pure gold or the best implant grade titanium?? you should be willing to pay a little more than Z.ink who can’t pierce a straight line and uses metal with nickel. GO TO STUDIO SEVENTEEN!!

Steven did a great job replacing my rook jewelry! He helped me pick something out that would work well for the placement and did the replacement very comfortably. Was very professional and kind.

I very highly recommend Studio Seventeens piercers Jess and Steve. I got a triple helix piercing which was healing really well for a couple weeks, until one of my students (Pre-K teacher) hit my ear. It embedded the piercing and I had to have it popped out and the post resized. A week or so later it happened again. This whole process has required multiple up-sizings and downsizings. Jess did the initial piercing and has been helping me with the subsequent care and has been absolutely amazing. She and Steve have both been going out of their way to make sure it is being properly healed and cared for and that all my questions are answered. Thanks guys!As an early childhood educator Ive seen lots of adult-child interactions and I just wanted to add that I was very impressed watching them with a child (probably about 8). Based on that interaction, I would also recommend them for kids piercings!

I got a tattoo done by Joel and had been overall happy with the quality. However, I needed a touchup and made several attempts via email and calling to schedule the touchup over a period of 5 months and never got a response.

Matt Maldonaldo aka Darth Maldo Studios has done great tattoo work for me! This place is pretty busy so make an appointment for whatever you need, they dont take walk ins.

Steven did an excellent job! Made me comfortable and calm while piercing me. From start to finish he was professional and informative.
