Got a giant mandala back piece by Seth last night. I’ve Got to say that was one of the best experiences in a tattoo shop and everyone there was welcoming and a great atmosphere. The tattoo came out perfect better than I could’ve imagined. Will definitely be going back!

This place was amazing for my first tattoo! My artist was Seth, and the atmosphere he gave us was incredible. I would recommend any of the artists there!

Cody Crochet designed and did my Tattoo. It came out amazing. He designed it with very little information and I love it. Anyone who wants to get a Tattoo in Houma should absolutely check him out. The shop itself was very laid back and fun had a lot of good conversation. If you are looking for a tattoo and arent into Codys style they have several other amazing artists as well. Thanks again Cody I love it.

My dother got her first tattoo and pearcing here ,they did great job,everyone is super nice ,exept the lady behind the desk, shes just a little bit salty.Definitly killing the good vibes in there .

I went for two tattoos and it turned out amazing! Im soooo amazed and glad that I chose this tattoo shop. My artist (Luis) was so amazing and very kind. He did not hurt my skin and both of tattoos were in red and black. The price was cheap for what I got, so Im happy and definitely will go back again!!

It was $80 + a $20 tip to do my daughters ears. Initially was told they didnt do walk in appointments by the front desk girl and I was annoyed bc i had read through all their reviews + Facebook where it says they did. The piercer said she had cancellations and would be able to do it. She was more professional as the front desk girl was passive aggressive and obnoxious The piercings are not even close to being even or symmetrical. Wish I would have gone somewhere else, but they had great reviews

Got a nice rib piece yesterday and i love it. I didnt have the right stuff to do the numbing cream so my ribs were not numb, but my tattoo artist worked with me and the tattoo came out great. Great quality and very reasonably priced👍👍

Always a great experience here. Atmosphere is always professional, clean, and friendly. This visit I got my 6 year old daughter’s ears pierced and Harley, the piercer, couldn’t have done a better job with her and the piercing. When my daughter got afraid or nervous Harley was AMAZING with her. She explained it all in a way she would understand while making her feel safe and having fun. My daughter loves her new earrings and so do I!

This was one of the best tattoo shops Ive ever been to. Seth did a phenomenal job, especially by talking through the piece with me and explaining his ideas. I couldnt be happier with the work, and the experience. Not to mention they are very well priced. Ill definitely be back!!

Amazing place! Everything is super clean and nice. Good vibes all around. Harley was amazing and super comforting. She really knows what she is doing and is super informative with customers. Piercing was pretty much painless and she gave me all the information I needed for cleaning and caring for my new piercing. Everyone is super friendly and prices are great! Definitely recommend Black Pearl and I will be back as soon as I can!

Even though it was simple, the tattoo turned out great. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone I know. The atmosphere was not great. The workers/artists are judgmental and entitled. Seth did great and was good conversation, but kept trying to change my partner’s mind about the font of the tattoo they’ve been waiting years to get and was being downright rude about it. Again, good work, but if you’re looking for a supportive and friendly atmosphere this is not the place for you. I almost stormed out of the shop over the entitlement.

Very attentive to detail and even though we had a long wait, they were very accommodating. We had somewhere to be and they did everything to make sure we didnt lose money with no refund policy. We caught the $20 piercing special and my 2 teens and I all got something. 2 nose piercings and a septum and we all love it! Thank you

Harley is the best piercer in Houma. Shes incredibly thorough yet quick. She took her time making sure her markings were lined up evenly before piercing me. She had me in and out in under 30 minutes. Im one week post piercing and they look great, I couldnt be happier with them.

Amazing environment. Staff is always open and friendly. They are quick to help and very thorough in explaining all the processes and answering any questions you may have. Got my first tattoo here and got a peircing today. Love the environment and attitude in the shop. Would absolutely recommend if you want quality work for fair prices.

Best shop in the area hands down. All of the employees are amazingly friendly and talented. Head artist is Jared Ordoyne, if you are looking for an artist to make your ideas come to life - hes the guy! He has a very light hand, an amazing talent doing freehand space/galaxy pieces and does his absolute best to make you happy. The piercer is also very professional and knowledgeable. He is very gentle, will double check the placement and the evenness of the piercing with you before doing anything and explains the aftercare very well. He also makes a point to tell his clients to contact him with any questions or if they need help changing out the jewelry later on. Overall, the entire crew here is amazing!

I went into this shop to inquire about 3 different tattoos I wanted. I was told by 3 of their artists that what I wanted wasnt possible. So I took my business elsewhere and got them done. They look amazing. So apparently they dont have the skill level here.

My little brother and I went to get matching tattoos before he moves out of state and the people who work there were friendly and the guy that did our tattoos, Cody, was super quick and did an excellent job.

Came here for their great reviews, just wanted a simple tiny tattoo on my wrist. The lady at the counter assigns me a new tattoo artist or I guess someone in training without my knowledge. Now I have to get a laser removal. I know it takes time to learn this stuff but I would prefer to be asked if its okay to have someone new tattoo on my skin.. permanently. Not everyone is okay with that.

Seth is an amazing artist and super chill guy!! The work was clean and my lines were super crisp!! 5 stars is an understatement and I would recommend them to everyone!!!

I was embarrassed at the lack of knowledge and lack of experience that was shown by Seth, a tattooer. He had a 16 yr old with her moms name and date she passed away written in Roman numerals. He did not check the numerals of the date in which this 16 yr olds mother had passed! So needless to say the wrong month was tattooed on her! Then if this was not enough unprofessionalism, he proceeded to advise this young lady to cover up the wrong Roman numeral month with a origami butterfly, which leaves a butterfly with the day and year her mothers death! Who does that! The date is now irrelevant and should have been corrected not covered up! Sad! Not only was this very bad advice but she was charged almost equal to the cost of the original tattoo itself, when it was his mistake or him not checking the work he was gonna do for this first experience of a 16 yr old girl! Would not recommend this place to no one!

I live in New Orleans, where there are tons of tattoo shops, and drive almost an hour and a half to get tattooed at The Black Pearl by Jessica. She is the best! Ive had a total of 7-8 sessions with her and I will continue to go back in the future. Cant say enough good things about her and the rest of the staff there!! Thanks!!

Left new era they seemed stuck up. Walked in was welcomed instantly and me and husband got tattoos with no appointment. Everyone is very polite and super sweet. Already want to go back for next one. Thanks guys!

I brought my daughter to get a helix piercing and Harley was very thorough explaining each step. She was very gentle and comforting.I would recommend her for a piercing!
