Got matching mother daughter tattoos in honor of my late grandmother here! Emeral was our tattoo artist and she was great from beginning to end. Emeral was very kind and professional and expressed great patience when we wanted to change the design several times and even moving the stencil to make sure we got the perfect tattoos we were looking for! So thankful for her artistry in honoring my grandma and bringing our idea to life! HIGHLY recommend rise above tattoo, the vibes in the shop were great, and I HIGHLY recommend Emeral as your artist

So I have now been to the shop several times and never felt a need to leave a review before today. Its blatantly obvious that there are people leaving negative reviews after never even receiving services here because of some vendetta.Walking into the shop immediately I notice how clean and spacious it is. All of the artists and employees are kind and down to earth and welcoming. I have had two tattoos and a nose piercing replacement done here (there was nothing wrong with the piercing I had and I just needed the jewelry replaced and it was before the piercing was healed) The shop not only strives to make people feel welcome but it is obvious that they are creative and talented artists that take their work very seriously.While I was getting my own tattoo today I got to witness one of their artists tattooing another one of their artists and it was a beautiful piece. All of the artists in the shop whether tattooing or not are supportive and encouraging of each other, giving constructive criticism when needed. When I came in to get my nose done it was done by an apprentice who had obviously been worked with very closely by an experienced piercer and was supervised and guided in a most professional manner through the whole process.Both times that I came in for tattoo work, my artist was meticulous with his cleanliness. He was able to work with me to bounce ideas off each other to find out what would be the best option for the pieces I wanted and where to put them.Never once have I felt uncomfortable or unsafe in this shop. I find them to be very professional from top to bottom while still trying to make their client tell feel like they are sitting at home talking to a friend. Highly highly highly recommend.

This is an absolutely exceptional shop! I highly recommend them to everyone I me! The artist there are very professional and efficient. Just walking in the shop makes me feel like home. Very clean and sterile environment. Stop and check them out yourself 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Last Friday I was feeling spontaneous and decided to get a nose and Monroe piercing at Rise Above. Everything seemed great. I had mentioned I had a Monroe before and I had needed a longer bar because I swell. No problem. Elyria, I believe her name was, was confident and professional. However, she mentioned inventory on jewelry was low. At this time, I thought that just meant that I could not get the rhinestones I wanted, and settled for a ball for the Monroe, and spike for the nose. A few days later I noticed the back of the Monroe was embedding. I called and they told me to come back. In the meantime, I had managed to get the swelling down and felt the back again. On Thursday evening it had swelled again, and by Friday completely skinned over. I went to Rise to get it looked at. I was greeted by an apprentice who kept saying she was sorry and had no idea what to do. Elyria wasnt available. The apprentice and another tattoo artist began thinking of ideas. They even called the boss. I believe Zach was his name. Even went as far as to Google what to do. After about 45 minutes I suggested that Elyria should have erred on the side of caution. When she said inventory was low, what she meant was size. I only realized this after the apprentice admitted they didnt have any bars long enough to accommodate my swelling. Id have rather been turned away than given subpar jewelry pierced into my face. I then asked for the owner to please contact me to discuss, as sitting there listening to the employees not know what to do, was getting a bit scary. On the way home I stopped at another reputable piercer and explained to her my situation. Upon examination she told me Id have to go to have it surgically removed. I also asked about my nose right there and she said the bar is not big enough, its being depressed into your nose She got me the appropriate length bar and changed it out. I STILL had the Monroe to deal with so went to my local urgent care where they were able to dislodge the Flat (back) from the inside of my mouth without having to completely ruin the site. Mind you, this involved a lot of pain, blood, and a scalpel. I was then able to rush to my new piercer who took the old jewelry out and fitted me with proper sized bars. She couldnt believe the small bars they had put in my face as well as the small flat backs. Rise Above never called me back. I paid them $150 (left a good tip). All they did was cost me another $150 AND minor surgery on my face to fix their mistake. I probably would not have left a bad review had they at least called me back. For all they know I could still be sitting here with embedded jewelry stuck in my face. Either take your own jewelry or avoid this place at all costs. Attached is a pic of the STARTER bars. Walked in today around 11am and walked out at 4pm with an amazing looking tattoo. From meeting the artist, showing him what I wanted, him drawing it up, and getting everything done in less than 5 hours. And it looks amazing. Fantastic work and Ill definitely be going back for any other tattoos. Shout out to Nick for the great art too

Always been a chill place to go to. Ive got a few small tattoos from here as well as my husband and daughter. They offer specials often and in this tough economy I really appreciate it. My tattoos all look great and healed fast! Im very satisfied with the work.

Everyone was so kind and very professional. Bobby did an amazing job, and I cant wait for my next visit. Im definitely coming back and bringing my friends. Thank you guys so much for a great experience for my first tattoo.

I have had a few tattoos done by Tye all rather large pieces and they all turned out amazing, the shop is very well mannered and they make you feel at home there. I am so glad that you can go in there see such a clean comfortable environment and be greeted automatically makes you feel at home right away and makes the experience that much easier. I will not go to any other place this is the spot yo get any tattoo your looking for regardless of style they can do it all.

I was so happy with my tattoo and experience. 10/10 would recommend. Ill definitely be going back. The artists are all very friendly and talented.I went back for my second tattoo appointment to touch up and adjust an older tattoo and it came out just as good as the first.

Rise Above Tattoo, family oriented business. I absolutely adore this place! It was very clean, friendly and welcoming upon my late arrival. Tattoo artist Nick Szymanski was awaiting my arrival, after I called and said that I would be there at a certain time and was about 30 mins late. He took his time during the consultation explaining the process as well as pricing. and He was ever so humble. He never mentioned me being late or him waiting. Nick was patient and very professional. I also inquired about a future tattoo prior to starting the one I was actually there for. Nick suggested that I speak with his colleague Bobby whom he confessed would undoubtedly do a super spectacular job due to the work I wanted done. Nick then took the time to inform Bobby of my interest. Bobby took the time to speak with me about said future tattoo while I was waiting for my artist to finish setting up. Great team work! I was able to get all of the information needed to return for my next tattoo. Once Nick began working on my tattoo, he walk me through everything step. Asking if I were ok often. My tattoo came out amazing! He managed to create exactly what was in my vision! Thanks guys, you rock!!! 👏 I would definitely recommend!!!!!!! 👍

My husband and I stopped by for the first for the New Year’s flash sale a few months back…now I go there at least once every two weeks, with my best friend. I LOVE it there. All of the artists there are so professional and wonderful. They create an environment that is now my safe place. I have the honor of calling Emeral my tattoo artist, and every time she never fails at impressing me. Tye has also tattooed me as well, and he’s just as much a joy as my girl Emeral. What was just a spur of the moment tattoo for the flash, turned into my favorite place. Cant wait to come by Friday and get another tattoo🫶🏻

I’ve gotten a piece done for my husband who has passed and Tye absolutely nailed it. I was in literal tears after receiving this beautiful work. I couldn’t have been more appreciative. I will DEFINITELY be coming back. & not only was the work beautiful but the environment was comfortable! We had fun and laughed! The best shop I’ve ever been too!🖤

I decided I wanted a rib piece of a snake with some orchids so I called to see if they took walk ins and they said yes- Tye was the only one in the studio and when I walked in I felt immediately comfortable. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and overall vibe of the shop- definitely one of the best Ive ever been to. Tye did an absolutely AMAZING job and hyped me up and took his time to make sure we got the design I wanted. It came out so perfectly better than I could have EVER imagined - I havent even had my tattoo a week yet and I cannot stop singing the praises of Tye or this place and have been recommending this place to everyone. I am very picky about the ink and designs that go on my body, and even pickier about who does them- but I will 100% be back! If youre hesitant- dont be! Just go for it! This is the place you want to go to!

This place is amazing. My tattoo artist was the best I’ve ever dealt with. He got me in on short notice, he was really helpful and polite and definitely knows his anime lol. Quality work as well. Screw the other places. I’d give this place your business 100 percent.

Upon walking into Rise Above Tattoo studio, you can see just how much work was done to elevate the aesthetics, atmosphere, and overall vibe of the space. This shop is CLEAN! The floor space is open with plenty of seating for customers and their guests. This is definitely the nicest tattoo shop Ive ever stepped foot into. All of the artists had nice updated ring lights, a comfortable chair, and nice equipment. Everyone was very friendly. My artist, Cheyenne, was the absolute best. She truly took care of us while we were there, providing excellent work. She was professional, personable, funny, and took pride in making sure we were happy with our permanent body art. If you are thinking of getting a tattoo, I highly recommend giving Rise Above your business! You wont regret it.

Rise Above Tattoo has incredible tattoo artist. My tattoo artist Cheyenne did not rushed though the process and combined 3 different tatto designs into one. The end of the tattoo session the result was amazing. I could not be any more happier with the my tattoo. The quality, professionally and the ambience was exceptional professional and good. Definitely coming back to get future tattoos. Thank you Rise Above Tattoo and thank you Cheyenne for the amazing tattoo.

If i could give zero stars i would. absolutely unprofessional and extremely childish. would not recommend them for any work, would 10/10 suggest going elsewhere. horrible people.

This shop is completely unprofessional, backwoods and downright unsafe. They’re rude, they’re disgusting, nothing they do is professional. If I could give zero stars I would.

Chey is a great artist & very nice. i love how my tattoo is turning out. if you are wanting a tattoo i recommend booking an appointment with her, she won’t disappoint you. i will be getting my tattoo finished & more from her in the future forsure! 100/100 ☺️

Cheyenne is a great artist 🎨 I would definitely come again. As an artist myself. I have high standards and she gave me exactly what I asked for. She is flexible and has a desire to please.

Worst experience ever. Shain stole money from me. Did half my sleeve. I would drive to my appointments and he wouldn’t even show up to the appointments he wouldn’t answer his phone and would have every excuse in the book as to why he wasn’t there. My work isn’t the issue the way business is conducted is. He tried to tell another client it was my fault.

I gave Cheyenne a basic idea of what I wanted and I love the design she came up with for me! Ill be working with her on getting the rest of my arm done as well!

Emeral is my tattoo artist and I would highly recommend this shop! She is great to work with and extremely talented!
