Skin Art Work Tattoos & Piercings

Ive gotten several piercings here and Ive never had an issue. I recently got a daith piercing and a few days later the ball came off on the one end. I came in with the ball and they were able to put it back in for me no problem

My partner and I did a walk in for septum piercings. Trina took care of us and made it a comforting and professional experience. The shop is large and spacious and had a lot of neat things to browse as well. We will definitely be going there for any more piercings in the future!

Update! I got a tattoo done today by Shawn and I am so happy with it. He was professinal, friendly, clean, and I will def be back! I just love the whole vibe from this place.I decided this morning to book an appt to get my septum pierced. I’m SO GLAD I went to see Trina. She is absolutely awesome. The piercing didn’t hurt at all. Trina has great vibes. The place is clean, sterile, and I liked her so much that I booked a tattoo appt for next week. I can’t wait. I’m telling you she is so nice, it felt like I’ve known her for 20 years. Def deserves 5 stars.

Had a very awsome experience. Very kid friendly. Both my sons ages 7 and 11 got their ears pierced here and they did it so gental they had a memorial experience. I highly recommend them. I also go a finger tattoo with my friend here so the piercers husband does great tattoos also... cant wait to get my touch up. And something new when my daughter is 16 in 2 years.

Shawn and Katrina are amazing people. Katrina is very thorough with making sure her piercing supplies is clean and new and Shawns tattoos are absolutely phenomenal. Hes reasonably priced and well worth the hour drive from home. This is a very clean and professional shop. Give them a try I promise they wont disappoint!!

I was impressed with this shop at first, staff seemed friendly, owner was pleasant. Im not sure about the piercings my daughter got, as far as proper procedure or placement, so I cant really say if she did a good job. What I can say is that once my daughters piercing healed, we went back to purchase a hoop. My daughter wasnt sure which size she would need, as she has a fuller lower lip. We arrived. My daughter discussed sizing, and the piercer and my daughter picked a hoop. The piercer put the hoop in her lip, I paid, and we left. The next afternoon, I received a text message from my daughter stating the hoop was cutting into her lip and that it was becoming painful. She said she reached out to the piercer, but at some point, the piercer stopped responding. When my daughter got home, the hoop was embedded in her lip, causing a deep laceration. It was extremely hard to remove. I am not too educated on piercing. Thats why I took my daughter to whom I thought was a professional. Im not too happy with the piercer, who I believe is the owner/wife. I do not recommend this business, and I will never return.

Went and got my nipples and septum done a few months ago. The nipples are crooked and dont match, I opted for the simultaneous, so I expected them to be off. When she pierced my septum, it felt like something got stuck, and she kind of jammed it in and blamed it on her new tool. It turns out she pierced the cartilage in my nose Sucks because she was super cool. Terrible experience, though.

I recently got my tongue pierced here. The healing process was super easy which I was not expecting. The actual piercing was quick and easy, and she placed it in a perfect spot. Over all im super happy I went here:))

LOVED my experience there! Not sure the man’s exact name who did my tattoo but he was great ( I think he was the husband of the family that works there ).I gave him a reference photo but it didn’t have everything I wanted in that picture so I just told him I wanted a wizard frog and OMGGGGG LOOOK HOW CUTE! He added a little wand and hat! Im so happy and pleased, it’s better than I could’ve even imagined! And the price was very reasonable! Definitely gonna go back and get more!! Highly recommend this shop! It’s also soooo cute inside! The decors awesome and it’s very clean!

They are amazing! The body piercer, Trina, did an amazing job! I got my second piercing down on my ear lobes and she talked and explained about different metals and materials. She really knows her stuff about her job and takes it very seriously and its super nice a sweet. I would 100% go to them again and I highly recommend them!

I came here for my first tattoo and it was a great experience. Shawn is very good at what he does! Looking forward to getting another one soon.

I got my septum pierced here back in February (16g, 5/16”, internally threaded) and I made sure I could flip it right away for work. Trina was great! It was 1/10 on the pain scale, as she took her time and easily found my “sweet spot” in my nose. Placement is perfect (forward and high) and it healed beautifully! I will definitely plan to get all future piercings done with her.

The woman who pierced my nose was so kind and outgoing. She calmed my nerves and eased me through the process. She even gave me free after care products! My piercing was done so well; you can really tell they have a lot of experience here. Highly recommend!

I went to this shop on a whim, and I am so glad I did! The shop was so clean and cozy, the people who work there could not have been nicer! I had 3 lobe piercings done by the sweetest girl who was a piercing apprentice , and could not be more pleased. Very professional, very kind people. I would highly recommend!

Katrina was awesome! I got three new piercings done and they all turned out great. The environment of the place is extremely friendly and welcoming. I felt like I knew these people for years. I cannot recommend them enough! Will absolutely be back!

The employee Shawn has proven himself again to be a highly courteous and professional tattoo artist twice for me personally, he’s able to add creative liberties to reference pictures that really add a lot to the look of the end tattoo. Their prices are great, and this is in my opinion one of the best places to get a tattoo in Indiana

I got my nose pierced and it was honestly fantastic! Walked right in and got me in in no time! Pricing was fairly decent and a clean environment! Owner was super helpful and very pleasant to work with! Thank you guys so much!

I got a small tattoo here yesterday and they were awesome! The place was clean, welcoming, and everyone was super friendly. As always, a great experience. Took my older mother today to get her ears repierced and got a new daith ring for me while we were there. Trina is so great as us everyone else. I havent been to anyone else for tattoos and piercings since 2016. 💖

I had my nose pierced by Trina and my husband and I also got tattoos from Andy. We had a very positive experience both times. Our tattoos were done exactly how we wanted them and we are beyond happy with the work we received! All artists are very friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to answer any questions you may have. They are great people and treat their customers with respect and kindness. We will definitely be back again!

I love Skin Art Work. The vibe is always just right and the staff is so so personable. Every piercing I’ve gotten here has been perfect. I appreciate that Trina measures them out before piercing and talks you through the whole process. I recommend this place to everybody I know.

Katrina is a sweetheart, the environment is comfortable and friendly and welcoming.. the people who work here are nice! Ive never gotten a tattoo before in my life but I have had piercings off of Katrina and shes very professional, clean and safe.. and a really amazing person overall!

I went here when I was fresh into college & dumb. I’m now graduated, and still suffering from going to this establishment. I got two piercings, both crooked. I got two tattoos, both were just bad. The lettering was inconsistent on my quote tattoo, and the wings of my bug tattoo weren’t even symmetrical. I literally got a whole tattoo sleeve (by another artist) and paid almost $1000 to be able to cover the tattoos I got at this establishment. Aaaannd there were dogs and children running around the shop during my services. My services were done by both of the owners, Katrina and Shawn. If I could start time over… I just would not go here to begin with.

I took my 6yr old to have his ears pierced. They were fantastic with him! Both ears were done at the same time. Theyve healed well and hes so happy to finally have them done.

Shawn and Katrina are both amazing! She did my nose piercing and my daughters tongue, daith and industrial. Shawn has done tattoos on my daughter, my husband and myself. Never had problems getting an appointment and have never had any problems or issues. Keep up the great work. P.S. they have some adorable kiddos too!

Katrina was very friendly and did a great job piercing my nostril and my daughter’s eye brow. The place was clean and I felt at home even though this was my first time coming there. She assured us that we could reach out any time if we have any questions or concerns later. Recommend.

I absolutely LOVE this place. They are very professional, clean, does amazing work, friendly ect. Shawn has done a couple tattoos on me and I wont go to anyone else for my tattoos. He did my cover up and it is amazing!!! I highly recommend going to him for tattoos. Katrina (Trina) is an amazing at doing the piercings she done most of my piercings and she is the best around. Issues with allergies to metals or what not she has the tools avoid issues. Issues with a piercing not healing right shes your go to girl. I have absolutely no complaints about this company. They are the best around!!! I refuse to let anyone else tattoo or pierce me!!! I live an hour and half away from the shop and its definitely worth the drive to go to them.

I go to Katrina and Shawn for a lot of my piercings. Katrina is always amazing amd talks you through it, explains things very well and is just an awesome girl. I only have one tattoo so far and I still love it. Shawn did an excellent job on it. He also talks you through the process, makes sure youre okay. Make sure to always tip because they definitely deserve it!

I got my nipples pierced here ❤️ I was so afraid of getting them done bc Im a bigger girl. Absolutely love the placement of my piercings. They also allowed my fiancee and daughter to come back while I got them done. Very nice people & super family oriented 😊 Ill be back for sure for some ink!

My first time visiting this business and I am extremely pleased with my experience. I scheduled another session before I left. My session was very relaxing. I was welcomed with a smile and conversation as soon as I walked in. I LOVE the artistic touch, time and thoughtfulness that was put into my design. I highly recommend!! Shawn has done several of my tattoos and Trina has done most of my piercings with no issue! They’re a small family run shop who commit most of their time to being able to tattoo/pierce the community and take care of their family. Personally not understanding why people are reviewing ab them smoking outside instead of taking their complaints to the restaurant, if you are having issues address it directly!! I’ve been going to them for 4 years and it has never been an issue and have never had any issues with their work on their end

This is the best place for piercings, I absolutely love Trina! She is extending professional and nice. The only place I will go for piercings! She has done my eyebrow, septum and my cheeks! And i definitely will go to her for more! All around great experience every time.

I have gotten several ear piercings, and I know a couple people that have gotten a variety of piercings from this establishment. All of my experiences have been unremarkably well. Pricing is beyond reasonable, and when I come for a walk in they work swifty and efficiently to take care of everyone involved. The kind piercer is always a joy to interact with and extremely helpful. Id also like to note how much she is willing to go put of her way to aid her customers. All is greatly appreciated, and I will be returning for more after mine heal! 10/10 recommend :)

Trina is the best piercer I’ve ever been to! She is so personable and super helpful. I’ve been getting all my piercings from her and all of them have healed perfectly! 10/10 experience.

I got an industrial piercing here with Trina. She was very kind and sociable. She made me feel very comfortable too. The piercing looks great and I am very happy with the results. The cost of the piercing was also fair. I will definitely go back in the future for another piercing.

I’ve had several piercings done by Katrina and Sean and had wonderful experiences with them, I love the vibe and the decorations in the shop and it’s a super nice place. However I went in for a tattoo and wanted Sean but got Andy instead, it was a memorial tattoo for a lost friend of mine so it was extremely important, and I’m super disappointed with the way it turned out. You can see in the pics there’s a lot wrong with it; the circles on her headband aren’t even circles, it was supposed to be a minnie mouse headband. Both of our hands/fingers are super messed up, our heads and arms are disproportionate, the buttons on the jeans are all funky, and worst of all he gave her a double chin which I literally went home and dug the ink out with a sewing needle (you can see the scar) because she was a skinny girl and would’ve hated that if she were here to see it.

I took my daughter to get her nose pierced and Katrina was awesome with her!! She was a little scared at first and she took her time with her to let her know every step of the way what she was doing. Then after it was done my daughter was seeing tunnel vision. Katrina had the other young lady run over to the store next door to get her water and she gave her a lollipop to help her come back. I would recommend this place any day. I really appreciated how she put all her clients first.

Tl;Dr great piercerRun by a husband/wife duo who are a joy to interact with. They clearly take pride in their skill as artists. Trina (I hope Im getting her name right) fixed a piercing of mine that was botched by another shop in town. A few weeks later she rescued me when a different piercing fell out and closed.I definitely recommend Skin Art to anyone looking for a piercing in a clean, professional environment.As a bonus, they sell a variety of crystals and other witchy items.

Got snake bites about two hours ago done by Trina, I absolutely love it!! The vibe of the entire shop is so friendly and you can tell they’re passionate about what they do. Will be back for sure!

Shawn and Katrina are very warm hearted and always have open hands to whomever walks into their shop. They both make you feel comfortable with whatever you are getting.

This place reeks of smoke and disrupts those trying to eat in the restaurant next door. Even if you are sitting at a back table on the other wall it still permeates the whole restaurant. It doesnt matter if the door is opened or closed, the smell still saturates through the walls, even the outside ones. Having groups of people standing in front all smoking with kids running around on the sidewalk disrupts those in the restaurant as well as those trying to walk down the street. This is very unprofessional. If you want to have a smoking party, do that at home, not at a place of business in the middle of town to disturb others that are trying to enjoy a meal or just enjoy a walk along the street. Some poeple have health issues that are exacberated by your uncaring attitude. Try smoking elsewhere away from the public and away from the main sidewalk. Not caring about the public around you will keep people away from your store instead of attract them in.
