High Tide Tattoo

Very special experience for me on a visit to my hometown. I feel very honored to have the tattoo that Dave did for me. Service was very friendly, sanitation was good. Only downside was the amount of unavoidable pain!! I’m pleased with how it all turned out.Make. An. Appointment. They are quite busy because of the cruise ships.

My wife and I decided to come out to visit our son and his wife in Juneau a few months ago, once we set a date we set a date for a tattoo.Having not been from the area (we’re from the east coast), and not knowing much about the local artists we set out to who was here. Our son recommended High Tide from the work he got several times from Em at High Tide. After looking at their work we contacted her and started communicating with them.She was super excited to work with us and gave ample attention to what we were looking for with suggestions and flexibility to create special pieces for us. The day we arrived for our tattoos she was on time and ready to go. She took her time made sure everything was to what we wanted and set aside the entire afternoon for the two of us.Three tattoos later we couldn’t be happier. Thank you so much to Em and High Tide for the time and attention to make the experience memorable. And thank you for sharing your art and talents, the energy was good, when we come back to Juneau we’ll come back to High Tide Tattoo too!

By far best tattoo I’ve ever gotten

Was able to walk in while I was visiting and get a cute flash piece!

Dave was amazing! He was able to get me in just 2 days before the appointment I scheduled (they also take walk-ins if available). We had great conversation while he completed his artwork. He was also super fast! So glad I came here for my first masterpiece!

Unfortunately I cannot recommend High Tide Tattoo. Back in early May Dave cancelled my appointment 3 days before it was supposed to take place. I had to cancel my flight, hotel, and car rental. While this was inconvenient I understand that life happens and so I looked forward to rescheduling. Following this event, I tried contacting Dave multiple times via phone calls, text messages, and emails in order to reschedule. After months of trying to get a hold of him, I requested a refund for our $300 gift certificate and for the $100 I paid in order to hold my appointment. I finally heard from Dave on July 23rd and he was very apologetic and let me know that he would send us our refund as soon as we sent him the information for where he should send our refund. I sent him this information right away but it is now September 7th and we have still not received this refund or heard from him. I have tried calling, texting, and emailing numerous times and still no response. I even commented on some of his social media posts. I am typically not the type to leave a negative review, but this is a lot of money and I’m very upset regarding the lack communication I have experienced throughout this whole process.

I went to Juneau to visit some family and both my cousin and I are tattoo enthusiasts. I had been thinking about getting another tattoo for a while and I thought this would be the perfect time to get it. I strongly encourage to book ahead. I tried and wasn’t able to get an appointment in my time frame, but I was able to go to the walk in day( Sunday). Milo was the only artist working and was swamped. He was able to fit me in as the last appointment. He started tattooing at 7 and finished around 8:45. The tattoo is INCREDIBLE to say the least. His shading and line work is some of the best I have seen. I would only get my tattoos by Hide Tide if I lived in Juneau. Thank you Milo for the amazing work and for being a wonderful person!!!

Please remember to create an appointment if you plan on getting a tattoo from them. Fortunately for me, I flew to Juneau on vacation, but the folks from the cruise ships were not as lucky as I was. The quality of work was Top Notch and I mean...Top...Notch...These guys do not mess around. You give them an image to sketch and they deliver. The staff here are super friendly and can handle a wide range of customers. The pricing of work is also reasonable.

Ive come twice and gotten tattoos with both Milo and Emily. They were both wonderful, professional, kept their spaces extremely clean, and their art is unique and amazing! I highly recommend getting all of your tats through High Tide!

Shara did a wonderful job! I wanted a tattoo in honor of my terminally ill aunt while we were on vacation in Alaska, and it turned out beautifully! Shara was very lovely and if I ever find myself back in Alaska wanting another tattoo, shes my girl!

Great place for custom ink! Friendly staff and a very clean and professional environment. The great rates reflect a more realistic amount rather than an over inflated price for Junea. Would totally recommend to friends or family.

Great work I was super impressed with the guest artist from Seattle!! The female artist in the building was rude though which put a damper on the experience. We will definitely visit him again just not at this location

The hours said open on the internet, the locked door said otherwise. Either update your hours, or be there. Cheers!!!Appointment only in a tourist trap? Strange.

Legit the best tattoo experience Ive had so far. Super smooth lines and the depth was perfect. Definitely getting more done here in the future.

Business hours posted as opening at 12 and I had the audacity to knock ... this guys response read the god damn sign People find anywhere else to spend your money this guy is old and bitter and not worth giving your hard earned money to!

I got tattooed by Shara at High Tide yesterday. She was really nice and friendly. The studio is clean and comfortable.

Top notch. Great for first tattoos. The guy was a bit heavy handed, but all turned out well.

I love this tattoo shop and Ive never been disappointed in the results.
