Area 52 Tattoo

I got tattooed here when I was very naive and freshly an adult in 2018 and 2019. I visited twice, getting one tat the first time and two tats the next time. I got designs that were on flash sheets. Its something I really regret, and will cover up when I find an artist that I can actually trust. I hope people see my review before deciding to go here for a cheap tat.The first tat that I got in 2018 (little dinosaur on strawberry thing) was originally done by a somewhat nervous thin guy. He barely got the lines in places and a couple months later half the tat had faded into nothingness. When I came back in 2019 to give them another shot, a large guy did my other two. (snail and beetle) He touched up the dinosaur tat with a lead weighted hand, it was pretty painful and as you can see the lines are more than prominent now. It also distorted the shape of the tat.When he first started doing the lines on the beetle, he messed it up and then just went ahead and made all the lines crooked instead of stopping and maybe asking what I would prefer he do now that he has already messed it up. I have met a couple people with the same flash beetle tattoo and theirs looked true to the design.The snail speaks for itself.I will post the pictures of the flash designs, and you can judge of how these turned out for yourself. Unfortunately I dont have a picture of the beetle flash art but I promise that the lines on the shell should be straight. You get what you pay for. Most of all I am ashamed of being timid and a people pleaser at the time in my life when I got these- I even tipped :(

I received a nose piercing from my kids on my 63rd birthday. Scarlet was great!! She explained everything to me and made me feel very comfortable. Jeanette was fantastic when I called and couldn’t get it back in after a MRI. She just popped it right in there! Fantastic place! Highly recommended them.

Had a very nice experience here getting my daughter’s ears pierced. They were friendly, helpful, clean, kind and knowledgable! I was looking for a place in Keene that pierces toddlers ears with a needle (not gun) and this place was IT! Highly recommend if you are looking for a piercing for a little one or yourself :)

I got a tattoo today and ended up getting really dizzy and my lips were white. i sat down outside of the shop and the owner came out with a soda and candy and put a wet cloth on the back of my neck. this was my second tattoo and i was very anxious so my blood sugar dropped :( but overall even tho this happened i’ve been very happy with my tattoos and the way they do things!! it’s a very nice and comfortable place and they make you feel at home as well as do great work. i definitely recommend them.

Very responsive to inquiries on their site. Cleanliness of shop impeccable. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I only wanted one tattoo. I have had three completed since December! Jeanette and Shaun are wonderful. Would recommend them to anyone thinking of getting a tattoo. Very in tune to their clients wants. Willing to work with you even if you make a change in your decision of designs. They actually understand customer service.No hiding costs. Keep you informed.

We took my 5 year old daughter to Area 52 Tattoo to get her ears pierced. They were so kind, explaining everything as they went along! She even got to pick a very nice prize at the end! I would totally do it there again!

Not sure if it was due to the flash special going on or not, but the cost of a tattoo special shouldnt dictate quality. I have never bled for a tattoo or felt that much pain being tattooed before, and the tattoo is all bruised. lines dont meet, and some lines are thick and some thin. unfortunately, the sketches made me think this was an amazing artist, but my flash came out terrible. will not be doing any future business.

I got my snake bite done and I love it very nice people and scarlet did my piercing she did awesome job.

I got my lobes pierced by the apprentice here, she was super professional but the jewelry was very crooked which didn’t allow room for swelling. They were very irritated even with proper aftercare (I have 5 other piercings that have healed fine w same aftercare) so I went back to the shop for them to take out the jewelry because it was stuck. Jeanette was able to get it out but would not admit they were pierced crooked and told me it was because of my anatomy and that saline doesn’t properly clean piercings. On their website it says to use saline for aftercare and that is what many piercers suggest. She would not give me a refund, it was about $90 wasted and didn’t offer to give me the jewelry back. She said I could get them repierced but I will not be going back. There is no need to defend poor work- just admit it was not done properly as I was very nice about it. No hate to the apprentice she just needs more practice.

I got a daith piercing at Area 52 Tattoo. It felt like the jewelry was too short and I went to The Void in Brattleboro VT. I was informed that the piercing was not done properly. Like I had thought it was the wrong jewelry and in the wrong spot. I had to take my piercing out because it wasn’t going to heal.

We took our daughter here for ear piercings. The business was clean. The staff was friendly and informative. They took the time to explain the process and asked if we had any questions or concerns. They were good listeners and answered the questions we did have. The process went very smoothly and the piercings came out great! We will be a repeat customer for sure! Highly recommend this establishment for piercings.

I absolutely love this shop! My journey with these amazing folks began 18 months ago with a beautiful tattoo that Shawn created, it is a gorgeous piece of art! I have been in twice over the past month for piercings, both done by Jeanette, and let me tell you, this woman is magical! I just got my rook pierced tonight and felt no pain at all! She is very skilled and gentle and absolutely puts you at ease while you are in her chair. Both Jeanette and Shawn are very welcoming and you feel right at home while you are there. Prices are very reasonable and their work is top notch! I cannot express what wonderful experiences I have had with these amazing folks! Thank you so much for offering your services in our community. Small shop but over all was a good piercing experience. Good price, but could have been a little more friendly in my opinion. My daughters first piercing, and was spoken to a little stern. Probably Just the ladies style , so no offense taken. But customer service goes a long way in the art industry.

Everyone was so nice, i got my belly button done and passed out they put cold clothes on me got me juice and snacks and waited till i felt well enough to put the jewelry in, not the mention it looks amazing and she took her time making sure it was center. overall the best experience i could have asked for (aside from the fainting) thank you so much

Its clean and they were running a promo, but the result was less than stellar. Possibly something to do with the volume of customers for the promo, but the line work on my piece is awful.

Absolutely amazing first experience here! We got my daughters nose pierced for her birthday and I couldnt be happier with the service. The lady (I wanna say Jeanette but I could be wrong) explained everything in detail to make sure we both understood before and after the piercing. We will definitely be repeat customers for tattoos and piercings!

I had a wonderful experience here. Shawn and Jeanette were so kind. Had matching tattoos with my father done. Wonderful experience very kind people. Don’t find that anymore and I will definitely be back for touch ups and more artwork done.

My friend Elise brought me here. My bfs daughter wanted an eyebrow piercing and I wanted my daith repierced...( The first place I went in Cambridge in 2015.. It wouldnt heal or stop bleeding after a month so I took it out) Jeanette and her daughter were so sweet and kind with her she was nervous Ms. Jeanette did her eyebrow so flawlessly and quickly she was fine before she knew it !! No complaints at all.My turn.... Jeanette did my daith faster than I could blink and it didnt even hurt!! I didnt even bleed!FOLLOW UP: She healed so well, she went back and got an industrial piercing 2 weeks later!Mine healed so quickly I never bled it never hurt wasnt sore. Im going to get more asap... Then some tattoos!! 😀😀😀Thank you Ms. Jeanette and Brandy!!!

Jeanette was awesome- she was super friendly and explained everything as she went- definitely could tell she was experienced and knew what she was doing - I got my septum done and it was fast and surprisingly painless! I would definitely recommend coming here, if I get pierced again I will be back!!

The first time I came I enjoyed chatting while getting the tattoo, but the artist forgot to tattoo an accent mark on the word that I was getting. I didnt think it was a huge deal, mistakes happen, and I just planned to go back and have it fixed. Going back, he reluctantly agreed to fix it but was not nearly as friendly as the first time. He then proceeded to give a very halfhearted fix to my tattoo and tell me that tattoos were never made to be perfect and I would just have to deal with whatever I got. He added a lopsided accent circle where I asked, then when I asked if he would make it a little more round he got a little annoyed but did it. It didnt end up perfect, I dont think he even tries for perfect. Between the 3 accent marks on the word, none were the same size or shape. Then he left the extra ink smeared around the tattoo, not caring to clean it after he finished. I wanted to leave a lovely review of this place, but unfortunately 2 stars is the best I can do. I wont be going to a second rate tattoo shop like this again, you really do get what you pay for.

Very laidback atmosphere and staff. Cute waiting room with snacks and drinks available to cater to customers needs. Female body piercer was very straight forward and got the job done quickly with no hassle. Prices are very reasonable as well, my septum was $40 and the cost of the jewelry was included. I plan on bringing my friends here!

I got my septum pierced by Jeanette and she was great to explain to process and was super clean and sterile. She let me wait in the chair for a minute after since I’m prone to fainting. Great experience and service! I recommend this place for septum piercings!!

Both ladies that were very kind and made be feel comfortable. They were professional, asked if I had questions and were able to answer any that I had. I am very glad I went there. It was easy, clean, comfortable and professional. Highly recommend.

I called and the same day they were able to give me a 4 hour tattoo she stayed way Later to Just get me in. The staff is super sweet and they did an amazing job. I love my new tattoo and will be going there again.

Jeanette has done five of my tattoos now, and she did an absolutely beautiful piece on my left forearm to cover up some scars I have there, and I love it so much. Now Im not embarrassed to roll up my sleeves in public because I love showing off the beautiful tattoo

I got a moon tattoo here and it came out terrible. The lines were uneven and it was not symmetrical. I had to go to a different shop to get it redone.

My first tattoo was from here and the line work is not good at all and the shading is so spotty, even after getting it fixed I still dont like it.
