Matt did an amazing job! I added some poly designs and 3 baby honu to my original honu (done in oahu by another artist a few years ago). He captured my idea with a basic description and a few online photos. Thank you Matt for an amazing tattoo to honor my kids and my love for Maui.

Amazing experience. Had Jesse for my tattoo. My tattoo was exactly what I was imagining and then some. Jesse had a super gentle hand to the point where I barely felt it and he exceeded expectations! All of the artists were super down to earth and made the experience very enjoyable. The shop is super clean as well. This was my first tattoo and I can absolutely see myself coming back to get another when i’m back on Maui. Highly recommend.

Paradise Tattoo made my first tattoo experience a wonderful one! We came in with an idea on how to honor our family and my late father and they absolutely delivered a beautiful design. Regie was such a calming presence and was so precise with his work. I can’t recommend this place enough!

We were in Maui on a girls trip and made an appointment to get our tattoos done while there. We had Reggie do 2 and Matt did the other two. They were great, had some great designs for us and were a lot of fun to have to do our tattoos. Professional, quick and didn’t make us feel like tourists in their shop. It was very clean and we have some great tattoos to remember our trip together. Would highly recommend this shop if you are visiting this area and want to get inked up while here!!

Whether youre a tattoo virgin or heavily tattooed like me this is the spot. Matt absolutely killed our group tattoo beautifully and efficiently.Pricing is more than fair, you get your monies worth and then some.Extremely clean shop with great ambiance, couldnt recommend more. Me and my family went in here for tattoos on the last day of our trip. The shop is a little pricey but worth what you get. Regie did a fantastic job and had exceptional customer service. If I am ever back in maui i know where i will come! 100% recommend

I went into Paradise Tattoo wanting three waves in Polynesian style and booked an appointment with Regie. He absolutely knocked the design out of the park! The tattoo turned out better than I could have ever imagined. The whole experience was fantastic, from start to finish. Mahalo, Regie and Paradise Tattoo! Highly recommended!

I had Alex give me a tattoo for my last day in Maui! I got it on my ribs so I was a little nervous but she made it so relaxed and she did a phenomenal job! 10000% would recommend her and paradise tattoo!!

My wife and I both got tattooed here when we were in Maui on holidays. Jesse did mine Alex did my wife’s tattoo. Both tattoos turned out great and they were super accommodating and helped get them just before we left the island so we could enjoy Maui before we left. We will back next year for another one. Found this place randomly on Google and I cant be anymore satisfied than I am. Regie was very kind and professional and knocked my tattoo out in about a hour. Look him up, you will not be disappointed!! Everybody in the shop was very chill and welcoming. Wish I couldve gone back for another piece before I left but I definitely will be back next time Im in maui again.

This shop was great! We stopped by randomly, and they accommodated all 5 of us. We went early, and it was easy to get in. By the time we were wrapping up, the shop was busy. All of us love the art we got.

My wife and I got matching tattoos here on our honeymoon. We walked in when they opened at 10:00 and they took us right in. Super friendly and did amazing work.

Matt and Jesse were great! The shop was clean, the work areas were sanitized between each of our tattoos and we had some good laughs and easy conversation while they worked. We loved being able to take a little piece of Maui back home with us and will definitely come back to them next time we visit!

I went into Paradise Tattoo on June 22nd 2024. I was looking for a very simple tattoo design. Reg was my tattoo artist. I am far from pleased with the results of my tattoo. I paid $150usd /$220can pluss a 40$ usd tip. After my tattoo heald you could see that the tattoo is not even and missing a lot of ink leaving it Spotty and not connected. I would NOT recommend seeing this tattoo artist or waisting your money. I am very upset as I have many tattoos and have honestly never experienced this with any artist or tattoo before.... now I need to get it fixed and pay more money. I wish I could add a photo to show.

What a great experience my husband and I had. Jesse got us in on the day we requested for our last day in Maui. Surprised my husband with a trip to Maui for his 50th birthday and I wanted to end our trip with tattoos to remember this amazing vacation and his birthday. Well Jesse did exactly that. Matt is a great tattoo artist and took care of us while balancing his schedule and walk in potentials. He was courteous, fast, and has a lot of practical and technical skills in his art. This was the best tattoo I have gotten and both me and my partner were able to get rather large tattoos during our visit.Matt used a special bandage that is water resistant and allows the skin to weep freely for a great healing process. He has a gentle hand and is courteous to what the customers body can handle. Without a doubt you should consider this place for your body art.Some bashful customers may be a bit sensitive to the partial nude style/featured art on the walls but the art is both hilarious, well drawn, and a great representation of all walks of tattoo life.

Went there for vacation and had a very small window to work with but they worked with me and my fiance and I got amazing ink from Alan. My partner and I stopped in for souvenir tattoos on our first vacation to Maui in March. We decided to check out the shop based on such great reviews. Highly Recommend! Clean, professional, talent filled shop. I knew what I wanted long before I went to Maui but I kept putting it off. We were visiting Kihei and saw Paradise so I checked out the reviews and decided to get the piece I had wanted for so long. Alex did a great job making it look exactly how I wanted it. Very happy with it and glad I have a Maui memory even though the tattoo has nothing to do with Hawaii.

The guys were friendly and the parlour was really clean. Setting up my appointment online was easy and convenient considering how busy we were with other activities. My family and I vacationed in Maui this summer and wanted to commemorate the experience by getting tattoos. After the obligatory reconnaissance on the Google machine we came across Paradise Tattoo. There are actually many tattoo shops in Maui alone so it took a while to review them all and choose, what we thought, would be the best fit for us. We had the pleasure of getting work done by Matt, Alex and Alan (there were 4 of us). The work was clean and professional and its easy to see that they clearly love what they do. The vibe is relaxed and unpretentious. I would recommend them to anyone who asks.

We decided to get our weddings rings tattooed since we go in the ocean almost everyday. We already brought in an idea - photos and drawing of what we had in mind. We both love our rings that Matt had drawn and he was kind enough to guide us through step by step, being that this was our first tattoo. Its such a small tattoo but we both absolutely love it!

Even if you manage to give him a subject he has never tattooed like I did, he will take it and run with it to the best tattoo it can possibly be. First off, I wanted to say that I do not take leaving negative reviews lightly. I’ve sat on this for 2 weeks so that I didn’t leave an emotionally charged review. Believe me, I cried a lot for the first few days. I’ve left one other negative review for a business in my entire life so please know that this is not at all taken lightly.Paradise Maui is a cool shop. I did my research, as anyone should do when visiting a tattoo shop out of their normal go to artist(s). Alex was fun & nice when I stopped in to set up a tattoo. Looking through his work, he seems like a solid artist. Sadly, he’s not the artist that tattooed me.Amy is new to the shop. I didn’t have a chance to see her portfolio & with 5 star reviews for the shop, I didn’t think it would be an issue. It is a big issue. Possibly an issue not fixable without expensive laser removal or an expensive cover up.I have over 50 tattoos that have all healed well. This one seemed as normal as the rest... at first. I have tattoos around my ankle, on my Achilles, covering my legs. I have never ever had a tattoo that was blown, where ink bled or was just ruined, as this one is. I have cried over this piece as it was my take home piece from the most beautiful place I’ve ever visited. Believe me when I say, I don’t pick cheap places to be tattooed. I pick reputable shops & at home, I go to the same couple artists that I know & trust. I know tattooing. This isn’t my first rodeo.Within 24 hours, the tattoo lines were all bleeding together with various parts completely blown out. I’ve had several reputable, local artists look at this piece & they are in shock over the work I had done & can’t imagine how it even ended up this way. It looks really awful & it’s in a spot that will be seen daily.When emailing Amy, she seemed to think that a blown out tattoo was just semi-norm with tattooing around the ankle/Achilles (which by the way was never mentioned to me Until I had an issue). Again, I have thin skin pieces all over the rest of my body. I have ankle pieces. I have never ever had anything look like this. Amy is nice & I feel bad leaving this review, but this tattoo is cringe worthy & really upsetting to me. Its a permanent piece & Im heartbroken over the whole thing. I hope paradise Maui can do something to help remedy the situation. I’m not sure if I’m looking at a cover up or laser removal (it’s that bad).

I would give them 0 stars if I could. I went there on my last day of my vacation and got a tattoo on my ankle. A month later the middle lines of my tattoo completely disappeared and when I contacted AMY JUSTEN she told me she wouldnt return any of my money and my options were to drive over 5 hours for her to fix it or go back to Maui, Hawaii to get it fixed. Shes terrible, do not waste your money here. They take your money and to sh*t work because they know youre leaving before you find out how bad it is. Now I have to waste more money to get it fixed a month later. Theyre sad af.

I came to Matt with a very specific design that I was looking for and he absolutely crushed it. I wanted the fluke of a whale that meant a lot to me personally, a fluke is the whale equivalent of a human fingerprint. The detail and care he put into the tat was amazing, could not be happier.

The place is clean and the staff is friendly. Their work was fantastic. The price was a little high but it was what they quoted us so we knew what we were getting into. They do not have any TVs so bring your own entertainment if you are going to be there very long.

We came to the store at short notice, on the last day of vacation. Jesse actually had time to get both of us a small tattoo. It was the first for my husband. The calm that Jesse exuded while preparing and stabbing really calmed my husband 😂The tattoo is great, the shop is clean and tidy. If it wasnt so terribly far away, Jesse could also do my next (much larger) project!
