I took my daughter here to see, Matthew Kahn, for her first tattoo! Between giving her advice and talking her through it all and making her feel comfortable, she already has made her next appointment. I would send anyone to him with his professionalism and great sense of humor. Clean facility and very easy to access.

I recently Google searched tattoo shops in my area and stumbled across Circus Tattoo. Firstly, the shop is baddass. The people were kind, super clean environment and nothing but smiles. I chose Pat C. to do my tattoo after researching his art styles and other work he’s done. I was so pumped when there was a cancellation and I was able to get in a lot sooner than anticipated. Communication was fast and efficient! He was super kind, great conversationalist, and paid so much attention to detail. I couldn’t be more pleased with my work and would 100% recommend and will continue going here for future work!

Pat at Circus tattoo is an amazing artist. He is very professional, and is always prepared, especially if you know what you want ahead of time. He will have your art prepared and ready to tattoo you when you get to the shop if you contact him ahead of time. He is best contacted through Facebook messenger, and will get back to you in a timely manner. I had my first tattoo with him a little over a year ago, and he made the experience so comfortable that I am going back to him tomorrow for another tattoo. The shop is great if you love Halloween, and everyone there is nice, friendly, welcoming and professional. If you are going for your first tattoo, I cannot think of any other place I would want to go.

I recently went to Circus Tattoo to get my top cartilage pierced. Hailey was my piercer, and she was so cool and easy to talk to! She did an incredible job, fast & easy… the way I like it!! Great, cleanly atmosphere, always feels inviting when you walk in! My daughter has gotten multiple piercings here, always a calm experience. Pat has done many tattoos for me, including a cover up that he did an phenomenal job on! Also script of my late fathers handwriting that is one of my favorites. He has a wide scope of artistic talent! Recommend him 100/10 anyday!

Got my first two tattoos ever here by Matthew Kahn, Black Candle tattoo. I was really anxious but he was incredibly kind and made me feel super at ease, took me step by step and answered all my questions. Very adept, gorgeous designs, and very sanitary environment. Ive gotten multiple tattoos and piercings here.. we went on opening day and got to meet the owners.. they were super sweet..Pat, Ren, Colby and Brandy all do great tattoo work.. and my best friend has also gotten many piercings by Tara.. even though shes had issues with her piercings, not the shops fault, theyve been super great about helping her with fixing it.. love them so much! def recommend any of your piercing and tattoo needs be done here

I cant recommend this place and Mathew Kahn enough. Super understanding and accommodating over the phone and even better in person. He finsihed a tribute tattoo I started for my mom 4 years ago. Best tattoo Ive ever got, straightest lines Ive gotten done and he did it without a stencil! This guys seriously talented and I recommend him to anyone looking to get a tattoo.

Went in and had my bridge pierced by Hailey who was incredibly friendly. She explained the entire process to me and was upfront about possibly not having the right anatomy for this particular piercing. She let me take a couple minutes after the piercing to relax because I got lightheaded then gave clear aftercare instructions. Everyone in the shop is super pleasant and welcoming.

I love Circus for tattoos and piercings alike! Always a good vibe when I’m in there! Hailey is literally the best piercer a girl could ask for, makes sure you’re comfortable and is always giving the best advice! If you want a piercing definitely go see her!

This shop is so unique. Not only are the artists talented, thoughtful and professional, they are friendly with one another and each others clients making the energy of the place so positive. Ive been to so many shops where artists have argued with each other, or ignore their clients to just chat among themselves or have terrible music drowning out any possible conversation. This place is just different. Love my girl Faye and grateful for her incredible artistry!

It sounds like if you are going to be pierced here, Hailey should be the one doing it. I unfortunately had another piercer and ended up with a botched and very painful septum piercing. He pierced my nose way too low, you could see the entrance to both sides from my side profile and it felt like my cartilage was at risk of tearing. He did not provide cleaning or aftercare instructions and pierced me twice because the initial piercing was so badly placed. Would not recommend getting pierced here and definitely will not be back.

Faye did such an amazing job on this memorial piece for my grandmother who passed away from breast cancer. I cant recommend circus enough. All the tattoo artists are so talented and the atmosphere is great

Nice atmosphere here. My fiance, daughter, and I came in with hardly a clue what we wanted to do, but Ren was great at helping us sort it out and making sure we were going to be happy with it designs, and we are, were all very happy. So, a big thank you to Circus Tattoo for making it comfortable, and thank you to Ren for the amazing work. We cant wait to go back for it next pieces.

I would suggest Circus Tattoo to anyone and everyone looking to get a tattoo or piercing! I get tattooed by Ren, even before he worked there and followed him to circus tattoo! But every person that I have met that works there is always very friendly and welcoming! And if your nervous they do whatever they can to make you comfortable. The atmosphere is great and place is always clean! Definitely 10/10 highly recommend!!!

I went in to see my buddy Ren Giang. I can’t express enough how awesome he is. Not only is he an incredible artist, he is very well versed and fluent in many spans of life. Circus Tattoo has a great vibe and even better team from piercings to tattoos they got you covered!Ren is honest and offers ideas to make the artwork more personal, accurate, and I guarantee he will make any idea you have even better.I sat for two 8hr sessions and loved every minute. Ren constantly makes sure you are comfortable, hungry, need a break, he’s always on point. I am beyond grateful for the detail, precision, and dedication to each piece he’s done for me. Especially the Viking cover up! I couldn’t have asked for more. He crushed it!If you need some ink! Ren is your guy! I’ll be going back for a long time to come!

Had such a great experience! Everyone was super welcoming and friendly and it was nice a clean. I had Faye and she was amazing. She was easy to talk to, listened to what I wanted and had a great vibe. I called a few other shops and they tried to push me into cover ups I didn’t want. Faye listened to everything and gave me exactly what I was looking for with her own twist. I highly suggest Circus, can’t wait to go back! I have to go back and have it finished but I’m obsessed already.

Me and my boyfriend came up from Massachusetts for the weekend and was looking for a shop very last minute. Colby responded so fast and was able to get fit us in. We are absolutely in love with our tattoos and can’t wait to come back again for more! Overall amazing service and great vibes.Highly recommend!

Heck yeah love this place patrick has done almost all of my work and cover ups. I have other pieces from him as well. Always a great experience. And very honest when he thinks something is a bad placement lots of respect to this shop!

If you are looking for some amazing art work I can’t recommend Faye enough. She is most importantly a beautiful soul. But she is timely, incredibly talented, and her technique is one of least painful I have experienced. Everything was clean and packaged. She took what I wanted and elevated to something I could not have dreamed up. When it came to Rocky she knew I wanted it perfectly like the ink print and kept it spot on. I can’t thank her enough for the most beautiful tattoos iv ever gotten.

Had an appointment here recently with an artist name Colby, was not impressed by preparedness and overall demeanor of the artist for the appointment. I arrived at the shop and waited 30 minutes at least for him to copy the inspiration pictures that I had sent. Throughout the entire experience he was rude on multiple occasions. Tried to tell me my preferred tattoo placement wouldn’t look good in 2 years, was repeatedly demeaning to me and my friend that was with me. This artist also spilled ink onto my clothing while during prep. After he finished, I was told that the tattoo because of the placement (on the foot) would most likely get infected, and if not cared for properly I would require a blood transfusion. I have had multiple tattoos done including one on my other foot and have never heard of foot tattoos “always getting infected”. I am also a registered nurse and the statement about having to have a blood transfusion if it gets infected is false, never in my career have I ever had to do this. Also giving unsolicited medical advice when you are not trained to do so, in my opinion was very unprofessional. The shop itself was clean, but I would not recommend going to this artist.

Personally my experience thus far has been Amazing!! Had a few conceptual ideas for different pieces and Ren knocked them out of the park!! Thank you Ren for the amazing Artwork!! Ren is a spectacular tattoo artist. His mastery of the usage of white ink is akin to that of a great artist of the renaissance. The shop itself is full of friendly and affable people making it a truly special place. The great care and patience shown by Ren to his clients is not unlike that of a buddhist monk making it not only a pleasant experience but a journey to the completion of a beautiful work of art.

Would highly recommend! Faye is my artist and she is amazing. She really listens to what you have to say and creates masterpieces. She is an incredible artist with so many ideas. The pieces of mine that she did are my favorites by FAR. I would recommend Circus for their atmosphere and Faye as an artist although all the artists are talented!

Family tattoo day - Four tattoos done by Patrick in tribute to the passing of my father in law and his pin stripping designs.

Wanted to send a review for Colby at Circus Tattoo. Back in June my dad passed away, my sister, nieces and I wanted to get a tattoo to represent the life of my dad. Colby got all 5 of us in on the same day with a very short notice and was amazing at giving us all a similar tattoo with small differences for each of us. He is a perfectionist and takes real pride in his work. Go see him, he is amazing and you will be hooked!!

I can’t recommend Circus tattoo enough. Very clean, all the staff is very nice. And if you are a lover of Halloween you will LOVE the decor in the shop.

After going to Ren for my last tattoo, I went here for an appointment with him again tonight, and as expected he did absolutely amazing! This is my second tattoo that I’ve gotten at Circus Tattoo both done by Faye. But they are absolutely fantastic. All the work I’ve seen from the other artists while I’m in here is super impressive. Such a friendly environment and clean. I would 10/10 recommend going to Circus for any ink or piercings. Such a rad group they have there.

Faye did amazing on my Inuyasha tattoo. Everyone there was very welcoming and her mentor helped us make my tattoo the right size for my leg. Reasonable price and amazing detail to the tattoo. Going again this coming year.

Ren finished a sleeve for me a week ago. I couldn’t be happier with the results. I would rate this business a 10/10 if I could. I ve been watching a few the of the artists there for a year now pat, Jess and Haley are all top notch at their craft as well.

We had an amazing experience at this fine establishment! A few days late, but congratulations on your one year anniversary Circus Tattoo! Our experience was super chill and top notch from beginning to end. We called to inquire about a walk-in appointment and they took our info down and promised to get back to us if an artist had availability. They got back to us within an hour and were able to fit us in, we ended up hitting traffic in Meredith and were about thirty to forty minutes late. The shop was super chill about it though, they were setting up decorations for their anniversary and were super nice about everything. We were able to mess around with fonts and ideas for our tattoos and then get started with Ren. Ren is an amazing artist, he’s super calm and open, talented, dedicated, and detail oriented. He will literally restick the template until he gets it exactly where he wants it. He was super chill and open, we had great conversations, amazing tattooing accomplished, magic tricks and cigarettes alike, it was our best tattooing experience to date.

Theres something about a good tattoo place where it just feels like being with family. Hellos, hugs, pictures, laughs you know what I mean. Great artists, great atmosphere and family you didnt know you had! You guys rock!

I finally stopped procrastinating and got the tattoo I have been wanting for several years. The main reason for my delay, was trying to find the right artist to trust that could take my vision and put it on my arm. This tattoo encompasses things I am very passionate about. I’m a proud US Veteran, love my country, everyone that knows me, knows how much I love being on the lake, and the last part of this is the sunrise. The sun coming up is a constant reminder of new beginnings and looking forward to what lies ahead. Also, I had had a previous tattoo 37 years prior that this was going to cover up.I want to thank Ren Giang from Circus Tattoo for his patience and effort he put in to creating this design, even as I was making changes the day before our scheduled appointment. Ren and I had a great time, great conversations, and I have nothing but admiration for him as person and artist.My experience with Circus Tattoo and Ren was nothing short of amazing. Faye may be a an apprentice but she did two amazing pieces for me one a tribute to my husband and one for my gram. Every minute spent with Faye was a blessing and my tatoos are amazing. The amount of detail is exceptional. Best tatoos I have and I am proud to call Faye my friend. Cant wait for the next one. The one for my husband is so special and such a great conversation piece. It was a healing time spent with Faye.

Went here a few weeks ago to get my 8 yr old nieces ears pierced. The shop was clean and decorated wicked cool. The staff was amazing! We were greeted by Faye, who was super friendly and great support for my neice (she was nervous.) Tara was our piercer and what an absolute rockstar. She was extremely patient with my nieces nerves. Walked her through everything, step by step, and waited till she was completely ready to do the piercing. Will definitely be back for my own piercings, highly suggest coming here!

I went to have an appointment with Ren and it was my first time at that shop since he went over there. Definitely love the fact that there is a parking lot, super convenient!My first impression of the shop was that it was clean and very much had the tattoo shop vibe. It was extremely comfortable, where it felt like you were just hanging out with some good friends. I didn’t look at the other artists work area but the one I was in felt pretty spacious.As far as working with Ren, he has tattooed me a few times now and is very easy to communicate with about concept and style. He definitely creates a safe space to just enjoy the process and he has a great portfolio.10/10 recommend coming here. I know I’ll be back.

Ren was very meticulous when designing my tattoo, encouraged my input, ensured it was in a good spot and that I was happy with it before we started. Wicked funny, and made the while experience comfortable. The vibe there is very calm. Love my dandelion! Hes a great artist, and so are the others there too. Had three ear piercings done by Tara and my experience was very positive from start to finish! The shop is clean and well decorated, staff is friendly, and Tara was both professional and talented. I got my septum pierced yesterday and I couldn’t be happier! Tara is an amazing piercer, she made me feel completely comfortable with everything she was doing and walked me through every step. They have a piercing punch card so after 5 piercings the 6th one is free, I can’t wait to utilize it! The shop also has a lot of really cool decorations and it feels warm and welcoming. I even had the opportunity to see some of the tattoos the artists had done/ were doing and I think I found my new favorite shop for tattoos and piercings, I can’t wait to go back!

Had a wicked good time getting my hands done (not so much the actual tattooing part) lol but with Ren who did my tattoo! He was great company and did an amazing job with the placement of letters on my fingers and he even spent some time doing a freehand touch up on my hand!
