Josh is one of the best tattoo artists I have come by.! He is beyond professional.! The shop is very clean.! Every time I have been there they have been very welcoming.! His work is amazing as you see in the pictures.! I recommend this shop and him to everyone.!

Josh is amazing!! Thorough and thoughtful. He did my very first tattoo and talked to me for about 15 minutes about size and placement … things I never even thought about.I’ve had several more tattoos done by him and have had nothing but great experience and amazing compliments on the detail.Highly recommend and have taken lots of friends in with me.Met the owner when my daughter got a piercing, friendly and careful with her work too!

Absolutely LOVE THIS SHOP !!! Went there for the Friday the 13th event they had going on and let me just say those tattoos had me coming back for more !!! That I went one week later and got a realism chucky and Tiffany tattoo done by Josh “ATM” who did an amazing job ! They look so real and I can’t wait to finish my horror leg !!! Shop vibes were awesome and great music !

I went to their Friday the 13th event in October to get a tattoo and two piercings I have had one of each done and its may and Im still waiting for my verticle labret I was told to come back due to how long their line was which was fine... But I did pay for the verticle labret in October during the event.. I just want my verticle labret done Bec I have also called like 10 times if not 30x asking about it came in to try and get it done by being told to come in and got turned away every time.. horrible experience

My son had a bad piercing done and Gary removed the bad earring and he cleaned the ear and gave him some cleaner for it and told me to bring him back and get it done the right way. Very polite and courteous service

The staff are Very professional, the energy and vibe they give off is awesome. They treat all their customers with kindness and respect as if they are long time friends. Great people and great work. Went for a $31 tattoo and immediately booked an appointment for the next day. Best part is if you go for their Friday the 13th deal and you dont want to wait 7 hours in the cold, they allow you to sign your name and pay ahead of time to return another day within a week. 🤟

Love this new shop everyone there is so kind and understanding. The owners are super chill but professional at the same time. The look of the shop is awesome each of the artists booths really show their own personality and aesthetic not to mention the amazing work that went into the Detroit mural on the floor in the center of the shop. The shop is also super detailed and gorgeous with its several paintings throughout it, you look ANYWHERE in that shop and I guarantee youll always find a new beautiful painting. They keep their shop super clean and sanitized at all times especially before and after any tattoo or piercing session. I would honestly go there everyday if I could just to enjoy a conversation with everyone there, theyre the most down to earth, friendly, and professional people Ive ever had the pleasure of meeting, Id definitely recommend this shop if youre looking for a new tattoo or a new piercing!

If I could give 0 stars I would.Waiting in line outside in the cold for 7 hours for the Friday the 13th flash special. Only when their was 4 people left we were turned away because they had to cut the line off somewhere. No consideration or sympathy for all our wasted time. Went for the Friday the 13 th tattoo experience and it was a nightmare. Rude employees and owner. The least they could have done is gave us a free tattoo on another day. Bad business practice. Think twice before going here.

I got my Daith pierced by kate and she was absolutely amazing!! Super sweet and easy to talk to, very sanitary and knew exactly what she was doing. She also did my mom’s tragus and did just as amazing on that!

I recently visited the establishment in question, and I must say that I was extremely disappointed with the level of service provided. The proprietor, a gentleman with a bald head, demonstrated a severe lack of professionalism and courtesy during my visit.Not only did I have to endure a wait of 10 hours, but the final product, a tattoo, was executed with a distinct lack of skill and precision. The entire experience was highly unsatisfactory and I would advise anyone considering visiting this establishment to look elsewhere for their tattooing needs.Furthermore, the owners conduct throughout the experience was highly unbecoming and I found his attitude to be quite rude. I strongly recommend that the owner take the time to re-evaluate his approach and consider the importance of providing a high-quality experience for his customers.In summary, I would not recommend this establishment to anyone, and I would caution anyone considering visiting to look for a more reputable and professional alternative. 0/10.

Absolutely love this place and Josh, All of my tattoos were done by him and continuing the journey, the rest of them will be done by him as well. I am confident enough to say that for sure because, he was nothing but welcoming, kind and most definitely knows what hes doing. Go here!

When I walked in everyone was super nice just the whole vibe of the place was amazing. I think the floors are my favorite part, every step I took I noticed another painting on the floor. Well besides how clean it was in there. It’s probably one of the cleanest tattoo shops I’ve been in. The person who tattooed me was super cool, he gave me exactly what I asked for and was so efficient. I will recommend it. I will for sure go back. I actually made another appointment with him for another tattoo in a couple weeks

Josh has been my tattoo guy for years, best in the business. Great vibe, great work. No question will be an overall good experience when you come to monster ink, and the owner cool too.

I can’t even thank Josh enough for such wonderful service. Myself and a group of friends spent the whole day (11:00-10:00) getting tattoos, he was extremely patient and so polite during everything. I was extremely impressed by how clean and professional this establishment was. Thank you Josh !!!!

I was assaulted by the owners for being disabled. He shoved me and has harassed me on fb since I’m speaking out as an advocate and I can stress enough how this man assaulted me. I am a service dog users and I deserve the same rights as everyone else not only did he discriminate but he took it further to put hands on me and that’s a hate crime.

Very friendly environment, josh was very creative an passionate with his work . I’ve come in 3 times in the past year an the last 2 times I’ve told him just do you an I’ve been very impressed an happy with every tattoo I’ve got from Monster ink !! Highly recommend an for that review down below about the wolf tattoo that’s a picture off “Newsweek” that’s not even a real tattoo .

I went to this place just to wait in line for 10 hours. This day was a walk-in only day where people could show up and get 13 dollar tattos. turns out they let people go ahead and sign to get their tattoos another day. i had already waited in line for 4 hours, so why not just wait another 30 minutes and get my tattoo then. WRONG.by the time i made it INTO THE ESTABLISHEMENT, there was another 30 people. I asked the owners wife (TOTAL B WORD) if it was ok to go home and come back later, she said i wouldnt be able to get my tattoo if i left. i asked if i could reschedule, she said no recheduling, AND I ASKED since i paid can you call me before i get my tattoo, to which she also said no, and reassured me there are no refunds! (thank god she reminded me i had almost forgot with how many times it was written everywhere!!!!) so we waited another 4 HOURS, in a crowded space, terrible staff, horribly smelling shop, sticky EVERYTHING, and blaringly loud distasteful music.right before i was able to go get my tattoo, this group of people had bought the artists coffee, which was fine, if they didnt LET THE GROUP OF PEOPLE GO AHEAD OF ME. i had waited for 8 hours and they let 6 PEOPLE go ahead of me. then i waited ANOTHER 2 HOURS FOR PEOPLE THAT DIDNT EVEN WAIT!I got my tattoos at 10 pm after showing up in line at 10 am AFTER being told i couldnt leave or else id lose my money!? the way this event had been handled was no more than childish. The staff was lazy and rude, they offered no compensation while making people wait in the extreme cold outside, AND they played favorites?Save your time and save yourself from PERMANANT trauma. dont go here. plus the owner is bald, they all have matching weird face piercings, and im pretty sure they were doing coke in the back the whole time. the best way to describe this business is CRACK HOUSE.

Wonderful experience at monster ink !! Got leg & back pieces done by a very professional & qualified artist. The establishment is actually very clean’ the setup is vibes & everyone is very nice & welcoming including the owner!! i highly recommend stopping at the first ever tattoo shop in lincoln park & the BEST!

Josh was awesome he did a cover-up so well that everyone’s complementing it and also did my second piece which was awesome. He was very professional. I would highly recommend monster ink tattoo and Josh.

Worst tattoo shop in downriver! Paid for a tattoo a week ago, came in 15 minutes before they open bring the gentleman a coffee even like he asked. He didnt even come to work. Made me and my girlfriend and kid wait 4 hours after they said we would be first before any appointments waste of my money and weekend thankyou monster tattoo. Never again.

Gotten an entire sleeve from josh. I get so many compliments on it! This guy can do anything from realism to abstract to the finest of details in geometric pieces. I’ll never go anywhere else.

Your Friday the 13th flash tattoos really sucked my daughter stood out there for 7 hours for a $13 tattoo that she was turned away for didnt get no offer to come back another time or anything thanks a lot for wasting your day thanks a lot for wasting her day I will never send anybody your way again
