I have been wanting to get a tattoo themed around musician Phoebe Bridgers for several years, but couldn’t come up with an idea that I liked. I saw Savannah Rae’s art on the website and I loved all of her designs. She already had a locket flash so I decided to get the artwork done inside the locket. I love love her line work and the tattoo came out just how I imagined it in my head!

From beginning to end Mike did a fantastic job, not only with the tattoo itself, but the experience as a whole was very comfortable and easy going. He did an amazing job helping me come up with my tattoo design and made it feel personal to me which I really appreciated. He was also extremely prepared when I began to feel light headed during the session because I hadn’t eaten, but Mike helped me out and made sure I was alright before finishing the piece. when it came to the healing process, Mike hooked me up with a derma shield protective layer which made the healing process much easier, and even let me come back to the shop for a new layer after my original fell off. It has been around 4-5 months now and it has healed wonderfully. to sum it up, thank you so much NeckBone Ink!! extra thanks to the owner and my artist Mike! I hope to be back in the future.

I am going to make this place my new tattoo shop! Savannah is amazing! She and I emailed back and forth a bit about sizing and placement and she was so helpful. She got me set up with an appointment right away. When I arrived she was very welcoming and really invested in helping me get the tattoo I wanted. Once she started tattooing I didn’t feel a thing. Easily the most pain free tattoo I have ever gotten. She talked me through her process at every step and made me really comfortable. My tattoo came out PERFECT! It is exactly what I wanted and I am beyond excited. Very reasonably priced as well. So happy to have found this place! 10/10 recommend, will be back for more!

Jose is amazing. He is a very kind and laid back person. He did amazing work. I have been to many shops over the years and never found a tattooist that I would habitual go to but now I have. NeckBoneInk stepped in when I needed an amazing tattoo studio to vouch for a walk in appointment. Both Jose & Mike were super accommodating. Jose worked with me on my idea for the tattoo and in no time he had the exact thing I wanted. The studio is super clean and hygienic and I really loved the laughter chats with Jose during our 6 hours long sitting. Jose did a wonderful job with the detailing and he was in no rush throughout the process. In the end it was a beautiful piece and was worth the pain. I contacted Mike wanting a custom piece based off of a couple of drawings that were related to an image that I was looking for. Not only did he exceed my expectations in communicating with me but he fit me in relatively quickly for a custom piece and did an excellent job in drawing out exactly what I wanted. What else would you expect from someone who has been in the business for twenty years? I felt very comfortable throughout all of my interactions with Mike and thoroughly enjoyed having him put some art on me. Also need to add that he has great patience and skill because at one point I know that the tattoo was starting to hit some sensitive areas on my leg and he didnt make any errors while my leg was probably flopping like a salmon out of water. Highly recommend his shop, his partner Jose is very friendly as well and I had great conversations with both of them. I definitely plan on returning.

My review is a little late, but I came here specifically to get a Frank Frazetta piece back in November. Mike was awesome, and I loved that he was so excited to do my piece. Usually people have no clue who Frazetta is. I just want Mike to know that I get SO many compliments on how beautiful it is!! This tattoo was really important to me, and he did an amazing job. I cant thank you enough.

I went and got a hand tattoo by Mike and he did amazing. Going in, I was extremely nervous and he did a great job calming my nerves. He was super outgoing and talkative which made the entire experience 100% better. I could tell when he was tattoo that he was super precise and took his time to make sure it looked good. The shop itself was also beautiful. They had a lot of cool artwork hung up and seemed to be very clean and tidy. This is 100% a place I would recommend and somewhere I plan to go again

Just got my first tattoo here, and had a great experience. Mike is awesome. He helped pick out a design I liked, was very careful and professional, and has great taste in music. Great environment as well. If you’ve been looking for the right tattoo shop, look no further.

Looking back months later , the young girl who did my tattoo was very inexperienced/unprofessional. She could not accommodate to the wants I had. She couldn’t make it smaller, place it correctly, and one of my lines are messed up. Felt very pressured by her to just do it the way she wanted, or what was “easier” for her. Thought this was going to be a great experience for me , as it was my first tattoo, completely wrong. Don’t let an artist tell you that what you want can’t be done. Great decor and was a clean place, but next time don’t agree to doing a tattoo if you can not get the customers wish. Stuck with a tattoo that isn’t properly placed or sized. Wouldn’t return again, or at least to that artist.

Mike did an amazing job with the design and tattoo.He is a super nice guy and very reasonably priced.This was my first tattoo. He really took the time to make sure the design was what I wanted and definitely made sure I was good with caring for my new tattoo and what to expect with it healing.Will definitely go back to him for my “next” one.😊

I have had multiple tattoos by Mike. I absolutely love his work and his shop has a great atmosphere. Very professional and does high quality tattoos. Mike always puts out his best work and really takes pride in it. I can’t wait to go back for more. My family has had around 10 tattoos by Mike and that number will surely go up. Such a great experience! I got a tattoo by Savannah and my husband got a tattoo by Mike. We were looking for a new tattoo artist in the area and came across their shop. They both did incredible work. We are very pleased and will be setting up our next appt soon!!

I emailed the shop one random evening and Mike (NeckBone And also the owner) responded the same day.He set me up with a consult to come in and discuss what I’d like done. I went in and showed him a reference photo but mostly I just told him what I wanted and he took notes. He had the final sketch to me by the end of the week- and it was perfect. I had asked to add a couple of things and he was able to do it without hesitation!I went In yesterday for my first session. The shop is clean and comfortable. Mike is extremely careful and sanitary and that made the experience all the better.This is my first ever larger tattoo so I was nervous about being able to sit for 4 hours.Mike was good about making conversation and also staying focused.... felt like the 4 hours flew by.My tattoo looks amazing and I cannot wait to go back in a few weeks to do the next session. You can just tell how much Mike loves what he does.I 1000000% recommend this shop and artist to any and every one.

Im 56 and decided to do the YOLO thing with my first tattoo. I contacted Mike because I liked his detail and use of colors. During the consultation he took the time to answer all my questions about the process. I was impressed with his commitment to getting the tattoo down the way I wanted it. As a rookie, I was a bit nervous during the healing process. He responded to my texts and reassured me. The mans an artist and a clinician. Love the tat Mike!

Mike was amazing! I wanted a very particular font for two of the tattoos I wanted and he was patient with helping me find what matched best. He even mentioned the Roman numeral font I choose may be tough to accomplish due to the size I requested, however, he made it happen and did a great job!He took the time to clean his entire station and take the upmost care with making sure everything was sterile. Mike was very accommodating to us calling asking for 3 people to get 3 tattoos today. He put his creative thoughts to work on making the tattoos more personable to each one of us. He takes his time and the work is phenomena. Mike makes you feel like family while there. The shop is very clean, organized, with a welcome feel when you walk in the door. Neckbones ink is the place to go if you’re looking for a tattoo in the Malvern, PA area. My friend and I were both walk-ins, José took our ideas and turned them into a true work of art. Had a great experience at NeckBoneInk. Mike is easy going and great to work with on a design. Its obvious he cares about his work and wants your tattoo to be exactly what you had in mind. Mike even has you come back for a follow up to make sure everything is as it should be. The shop is very clean and the 8+ hour playlist was one of the best Ive listened to!

Came in a few days ago for my first tattoo. Jose made me feel very comfortable and walked me through everything. He also worked with me a lot on shrinking the design I’d drawn down to the size I wanted. He went over aftercare instructions with me extensively plus, the shop uses a special covering to help them heal faster. Shop was very clean and prices better then rest I’d seen in the area. Also super accommodating when I needed to reschedule my appointment.

My friend and I were calling everywhere looking for walk-in availability. I’m thankful some time up at NeckBoneInk. We showed up a little earlier than we were told, but Mike & Jose didn’t care and were more than accommodating. They’re both very talented, helpful, and friendly artists who were patient with us beginners. The shop itself was cool, clean and spacious. Highly recommend!

It was total coincidence that I found these guys and they were taking walk ins. Mike was amazing and took what I had in my mind and turned it into a beautiful ankle tattoo that I LOVE! I got my first tattoo done for my 20th birthday done by Savannah, she did a beautiful job designing a linework scorpion for me. Mike gave me a lidocaine path the day before, and when I came in Savannah described the whole process to me, was very clean and professional, and she was so light handed I could only feel the needle itself. An unexpected bonus was the aftercare pack she gave me, the tattoo goo helped heal my belly button piercing too! And I liked her playlist she had on. 10/10 experience, and I’ll hopefully get my future tattoos done by her too.

Me and my best friend got matching tattoos a couple days ago, and we both love them! Jose was able to get us in for an appointment easily and super fast. I got my second tattoo from this location a few weeks ago. The artist, Savannah, consulted with me about the drawing and helped me with the placement. She took her time on the tattoo and it came out great! As a tattoo “newbie” it’s nice having a staff who cares about their customers. Can’t wait to go back!

So pumped about the work Mike has done on my leg. Can’t wait to go back in a few weeks and finish up. On a few occasions I have brought in some artwork that I have done and asked Mike to turn it into something tattoo worthy. He has exceed my expectations each time. Mike is justttttt amazing. The dude goes above and beyond to get you the best piece of art you could ever get. Always up for suggestions and very very adaptable to changes requested by me(I was extremely picky and being accurate was my thing). Yes his prices are a lil bit steep compared to others but its well worth it. He uses state of the art equipment and after tattoo care products. So i guess that makes up for it. Stop by and see for yourself. You will NOT regret it. There is a reason this amazing man has all 5* reviews.

I just recently went and got another beautiful piece done by Mike and as always Im extremely pleased with the outcome. Ive gotten all of my ink done by him and every time Ive went he has always taken his time and hes not heavy handed ! And also takes pride in his work . Ive recommended my friend to him as well and she was also happy with his work.

I went to NeckBoneInk for my first tattoo ever! Mike talked me through any concerns I had and gave suggestions to make my tattoo come out its absolute best. My friend went first and then I followed, Mike properly cleaned the whole station and rewrapped everything ensuring a clean workspace for my turn. I was looking for a quick tat appt locally and Mike hooked me up! Wanted a fairly simple piece for my kids and he did a great job, it was exactly what I wanted and the place was clean, I felt comfortable and I especially enjoyed the tunes! At first I was following Mike on Instagram, then my daughter wanted her first tattoo. He does great work. She gave him the picture and he made it come to life. Then I went and now Im going back. Great guy, great artwork.

I had a tattoo done by Miss Savanah on 27th August 2022. It was a 4 inch tattoo. Signature of my husband on my left breast. I have to say, Miss Savanah was phenomenal with her work. It was absolutely a flawless piece. Exact replica of my husbands signature. The after care instructions were given to me with clear understanding. I was totally nervous as this was my first tattoo ever. And Miss Savanah prepared me so well, that I didnt even feel any more nervous or uncomfortable. And to know she was working as a tattoo artist just a year, shows how sincere & talented she is at her work. I totally recommend her work to anyone who wants their first tattoo to look as if its been done by 30 years experienced tattoo artist. A complete 5 star rating.

Love Mikes work very great guy and his work is amazing he just finished doing a sleeve for me and Im more then happy with the outcome. So the next time you want some ink done stop by the shop and mike will be glad to do the work.

I have been getting tattooed by Mike for about six years. I come to him with an idea and let him run with it. He does his research and gives me various options. Every single time I see him he surprises me with what he comes up with. His ideas and execution always exceed any expectations I may have had. I went into this shop with a crusty looking tattoo and asked Jose to help me get it to look the way I wanted it to, and he did exactly that! Very nice people and very talented, he made sure that the colors looked solid and even, and turned something I didn’t like into something I loved, it looked completely new and different! I’ve been searching for a good place after getting tattooed at a few other ones, and this is definitely a great place and I will be getting more done here in the future.
