What can I say that hasnt been said already. Theres a reason why this place has 5 stars. Everyone is super friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I have gotten my last 3 (8 total on my body) tattoos here and wont be going anywhere else. Mike B was nothing but professional. He is an amazing artist, gave great feedback and was open to suggestions by myself. He took his time getting the tattoos to sit at the perfect spot on my arm, rather then rush it because it was getting late. I couldnt be happier.

Very Polite & Very Informative!!! AJ helped me make an appointment & answered all of my questions. He took pictures of my arm & wrote down my ideas for a tattoo artist to think over & draw a few ideas out for me. He gave me an opportunity to meet the tattoo artist before my appointment to talk things over with her. I had a Tattoo done here a few years back, but that Artist moved away.👌 I havent had my current idea done yet to give this a more descriptive review. I will update in a week with pictures & a more in-depth review once I get this Tattoo done.Mike the owner was extremely kind to fix up a few things that I didnt like about my tattoo for free. This Place has really great artist & I will definitely be coming back for all of my future tattoos.You will not be disappointed if you get your tattoo from here. A+ Service

I have come here twice for work to be done. After reading countless reviews i decided to make an appointment. Chris raft is an awesome artist, he made me super comfortable and the time just flew by. I am still new to being tattooed only having two pieces done, but he has my business going forward. The shop is super clean, everyone is friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed. I will be asking for gift certificates in the future to make more visits for sure.

The most incredible overall experience. The tattoos are the cleanest work my dad and I have ever had. The staff is some of the kindest, welcoming, and accommodating individuals and artists. I can’t imagine getting work done anywhere else since i’ve come here.

I just had my final session on Saturday with Nasa and I couldn’t be happier. She was amazing, the colors and details are beautiful. I would highly recommend this shop. First time getting a tattoo, so I was a little nervous. From the beginning, I was put at ease by all of the friendly and professional communication I received when I first inquired. Based on what I was looking for, I was matched to an artist named Krista. She was wonderful. Carefully listened to what I was seeking and created a design that was precisely what I wanted. Everything from beginning to end was stress-free, she was gentle and virtually painless. I would highly recommend Kings Avenue in Massapequa. UPDATE: I’ve gone back to Kings Avenue Tattoo twice (and booked a fourth visit!) On my second visit Krista added an amazing background to my skiing pig. For Visit # 3 all I told Krista was that I wanted a basket, red flowers, The Wall Street Journal and a stock ticker tape. She nailed it! I can’t wait for Visit # 4!An amazing experience from start to finish! The start was me arriving for my appointment on the wrong day. They were willing and able to move some things around so that I didnt have to come back on the actual day. The finish was an amazing tattoo!This was my first tattoo and everyone at Kings Avenue made me feel relaxed. The shop has lots of private rooms, and even has the all important accessible bathroom. While I waited I was even offered my choice of a number of beverages.When it was my turn Krista walked me back to our room. She had prepared a stencil, based on an image I provided during our earlier consultation. We confirmed the drawing, size and placement. When I mentioned my original choice of placement, she pointed out that it was not ideal, as it would put the small tattoo on two sides of my arm making it difficult to view. I deferred, she was right!In less than 2 hours, with very minimal discomfort, Krista gave me exactly what I wanted, a beautiful skiing pig, which in its own way is a tribute to my mother and father! I cant recommend Kings Avenue Tattoo strongly enough!Update 12/12/2023: I keep going back! I’ve returned to Kings Avenue multiple times because each new experience is amazing as the last. If you’re on Long Island, or anywhere in the Tri-State, and thinking about getting a tattoo go to Kings Avenue!

Great staff. Rachel was very accommodating when helping me setup my appointment. Chris R, my artist, was fantastic. He was friendly, courteous, thoughtful (he checked on my well being throughout the session), and a very skilled artist. My tattoo came out even better than I could have imagined. I would highly recommend these guys.

Great atmosphere, great artists, great front desk help. All very friendly, clean shop. I had a few different tattoos done by a couple of different artists, and I couldnt be happier. I have been to plenty of shops in my 40 plus yeast of getting work done. This is definitely my favorite shop. I know Im getting Kings Avenue Tattoo gift certificates for Christmas, so I will be back at it. Im looking forward to it.

Started getting work done here this May 2017. Never made a better decision. The atmosphere, the artists. All second to none. Don’t look at any other reviews. Kings Ave is the place to go.

Just got home from getting my tattoo here and all I have to say is I love it!! Will was my tattoo artist and he was so clean and professional yet funny and caring at the same time. My sister and I went to Kings Ave. for my 2nd wrist tat and her 1st. We went in March and Mike Brummett did our tattoos. We had the inscription sisters done in Spanish “ Hermanas”. Even thou it’s a simple tat the lines are clean and sharp. We love them. Kings Ave. is so clean and artists are super welcoming.

I had my tattoo done yesterday by Lina. I can not tell you how happy I am with it. Anyone that has seen it in the past 24 hours has been blown away with the line work and detail. My wife was with me and wanted something small done - she was not scheduled, but Lina made the time to do a small piece. She is truly a professional ARTIST and the conversation and getting to know her was refreshing.Coincidentally, while in the parlor - Mike Rubendall (owner) was there and could not have been nicer and more personable. As a matter of fact, every person we encountered from the front desk to the artists was over the top nice.If you are thinking about getting a tattoo in a clean, talented environment - go nowhere else, these are true professionals that care! I love this place! I’m not a hard core inked person, I’m a rather anxious tattoo-ee, and the staff here are always so helpful and understanding of all of my questions. This is my second time around and the Team and the artwork is amazing!

Great place and Great Experience!If I could give 6 stars, I certainly would! The entire staff is wonderful. Accommodating, pleasant, creative, and service driven. Sarah and Rachel were really incredible and went above expectations to schedule and accommodate my schedule. Mike Brummett did a phenomenal job on this very important memorial tattoo. The shop is spotless and layout is great. They are very attentive to cleanliness and safety. I will absolutely be returning for additional tattoo work in the near future and I thank them, once again, for handling this important memorial like pros!!!!

We were on the wait list for Mike Rubendall for over a year a couple of times, and each time the wait and long travel is worth it. The man is professional, very kind, and his staff are always so sweet and generous. The shop is beautiful and clean. You don’t want to go to anyone else for your Japanese art needs. Get on the wait list and get work from a legend!

Got my first tattoo today, and the experience was excellent. From the first phone call, the consultation and the day of the tattoo….Everything was nothing short of perfection. I cannot recommend Kings Avenue enough - especially for people getting their first tattoo. I went for my first and everyone in the shop was incredible. They were super kind and patient and walked me through the whole thing, from booking the appointment to actually getting it done. The artist I worked with - Mike Brummett was also amazing. His work was so precise and quick (I had a geometric design), he was really understanding and accommodating, making for an excellent first-tattoo experience. I will definately be back.

I did feel like the price was a little bit high at first. but honestly for Peace of Mind knowing that I was getting a quality job done on something that will stay on me for the rest of my life I had no problem paying the extra money. I got my first tattoo here by Clark Seiger. The place is very clean and friendly staff. Clark did mine beautifully in 20 minutes! My tattoo was $250. Although their pricing is high, I guarantee it will be worth every cent! You wont be disappointed! I highly recommend coming here, all the artists are professionals and does a nice clean work. I will be coming again for my second!

I called the same day 2 see if I could come in & get 2 tattoos & Tom took my # & said he would call if they had any cancellations. Tom called me maybe an hour later & was able 2 fit me in with Wayne or Will sorry cant remember I know his name was one of them but he did an EXCELLENT job on both my tattoos even better than I imagined Ive been getting compliments on it everyday & we had great conversation as well I would definitely recommend & go back & get another one

I LOVE this studio! I have been a customer I would say for 10 years now, wow! The atmosphere is so dope and everyone who works there is beyond chill. I’m like a kid leaving a candy store every time I get artwork done by the artists at this studio because everyone is soooo amazing.Today I saw Lina for a memorial tattoo for my dad who I lost in March 2020 to COVID-19. Lina was so patient with me with all the questions I had. I’m SO HAPPY with the results of my tattoos today. Her line work is so sick, I can’t wait to begin my larger pieces with her in the winter.Thank you Kings Avenue!!

Ive been to many shops, but Kings Avenue by far is the friendliest, most professional shop I have been to. The artists are absolutely fantastic. Starting last year, first I needed a cover up for a tattoo I wasnt really happy with. Will Lollie made it disappear with a stunning coverup. At that point I figured we might as well rework my half sleeve. Continuing on 1 leg tattoo later, Ive scheduled 2 more sessions for after the summer with Will. Kings Avenue truly is the place to go.

WOW! Just absolutely wow!I have many tattoos from many places, but for my first arm piece I truly sought out the best, and Kings Avenue did not disappoint!When I first emailed them back in February, I received a response to my inquiry within an hour. I sent them my design, they gave me estimates, and overall the booking and deposit process was very easy. The appointment was put off because of corona, but it was 1000% worth the wait!With the new covid measures, i received communications on how the process would work in the days leading up to my appointment via text. I Called upon arriving as requested, greeted and directed to the mobile device-accessible release form. My temperature was taken before i entered and there was a mask on everyone in the joint, plus hand sanitizer widely available.I had the pleasure of working with Will Lollie, who came highly regarded to begin with but upon seeing his process and final work first hand is literally unreal! He was patient and understanding in getting the placement perfectly, and was overall a pleasure to spend 4 hours with. The work speaks for itself - I will now be recommending Kings Ave to any and all persons even mutter interest in a piece!THANK YOU WILL AND KINGS AVE TEAM! Im a very happy woman!

I got my first tattoo here with my brother over a year ago and I regret not giving this place the rating they should have received. Although, Im being limited to 5 stars Id definitely give it more. The artist that I had was Justin Essing. He gave such an out of this world expierence while doing both tattoos. He made sure that I was okay during the process and while tattooing there was great conversation, I even forgot I was getting tattooed. The atmosphere is homey. I cannot wait to get more tattoos and hopefully it will be Kings Avenue.

Theres a lot if competition out there. Everybody at Kings Avenue is not just great at what that do and love what they do, theyre friendly and welcoming (like family...the good kind), and professional & world class. They attract the best in the US with top guests from around the world; and theyre not just the top at what they do, they dont rest on their laurels and constantly keep their eyes on being even better than the best. Its how you stay on top! The shops themselves are works of art and dont make the pain go away, But it does better the experience.

What can I say, that others havent said already?I went here for my first tattoo based on the great reviews. And they were right. They were very understanding, and professional. I never felt uncomfortable- they listen to me, gave me their expert opinion and at the end it was all about making sure I was happy with the result.On one occasion their schedule didnt fit mine (yup - you gotta wait for these guys a looooong time - its worth it), and I went to another place (that also has good reviews on yelp). I was there for 2 minutes - and I am not exaggerating I felt the difference. The atmosphere, the customer service, their cleanness, the organization - I had leave (run) and just wait for my apt at KAT.I assume everybody over there is good, because I can see they uphold high standards.However, my guy isJustin Essing. He is perfect. I trust him and I rely on his opinion, he has never lead me wrong. Besides he is just really talented. I started w/ him, and continue w/ him... I dont trust anybody else (this is a permanent thing in your body - trust is very important)I love everybody from the counter to the last room.... they are not just really good and professional, they are very pleasant.I dont know what else to say.... Thank you!! - believe the reviews, they are THAT good. And the wait is worth it.... Trust me I tried to cheat on them... I still have nightmares of those two minutes at the other location....

Kings Avenue is not your typical tattoo parlor. This upper echelon establishment was started by Mike Rubendall, a virtual legend among the tattoo community. With two locations, massapequa and manhattan, the work and professionalism is known and respected by anyone who knows anything about the modern tattoo movement. Justin Weatherholtz is my man - an extremely talented artist and all around amazing guy. But all the artists here are phenomenal. You will not be disappointed. it’s worth the cost for sure.

Went here for my very first tattoo, then returned 4 months later for the next, and then another 4 months for another one, and now its that time again. I’ve lookes into so many places and honestly the friendly and welcoming vibe you get from the staff and the artists is frankly amazing and is part of the reason I will not go anywhere else for my tattoos.

If you want your tattoo done correctly the FIRST time, go here. I had a revision done here and it was absolutely incredible. I was in tears because of how amazing my tattoo looked afterwards. Highly recommend.

Went to get a consult tonight. Will is very personable and has allot of knowledge as to what will work and what wont. He spent time discussing options and styles and didnt make me feel rushed. I am dying to see what he sketches up for me.

My appointment was with Justin Weatherholtz and I have to say...UNBELIEVABLE... his artistic hand and great eye brought tears to my eyes when I saw the completion of a portrait of my son ,.I put the portrait on Facebook as soon as I left the shop from Massapequa till the time I got home to Commack I received so many compliments and people in disbelief that this was a tattoo, they thought I put a picture on my arm. Kings Avenue Tattoo a very clean ,well designed décor, staff is very courteous. So if anyone is thinking of a tattoo or portrait Justin is the person to see, but actually when I was there many other artists where doing great tattoos.AGAIN THANK YOU JUSTIN& KINGS AVENUEDOMINICK ODONE
